GOOOOOOD morning all! I was feeling very "bingey" yesterday but I made it through the day on plan, plus 5 chocolate chips. : ) For some reason I was just hungry all day and wanted to each junk, but I managed to make it without much damage. I just neeeeeded some chocolate. I know you have all been there!
I dont really have much else to report. Good luck to everyone today...earn those cars!!! |
Marcie - Make those chips dark chocolate and you can/should eat 1 oz a day for the heart benefits it provides. Then it isn't "junk".
Don't forget, ladies, that we need to plan "splurges" into our eating plans. That can be a daily splurge, once a week, or once a month. But plan for those times when you want that Burger King or that root beer and allow that splurge to satisfy. The thing is to remove the guilt from eating those foods. Last night, it was Church's chicken. DH was distressed about his brother (and mad at his mother) so he wasn't up for cooking. I didn't argue because our lives are going to have days where we want that kind of chicken. I ate a couple of bites of the crunchy skin and fed the dog the rest. I ate three biscuits, took them out of flex points, and will feed the dog the rest this morning. One of the keys to success for us is keeping food enjoyable and having nutritional value - not punishing, not depriving, not drudgery. I'm going to start going in to the office earlier. I'm tired of getting home at 6 or after every night. It makes for too short of evenings with little done. But I'm not giving up my morning exercise. I was spending too much time lollygagging around in the mornings and getting in to work later than really necessary. So, no time for other replies this morning. Make today an OP day! |
Good morning Ladies,
Marcie, I hate those bingey days. I think everybody has them, and probably, we all handle them differently. I am past the hormonal thing, but I still get the chocolate craving. Bummer! :( I don't think a couple of hersheys kisses or something like that would do a lot of damage, that is unless you do what I did a few weeks ago. I swear that bag of kisses evaporated, I couldn't have possibly eaten that many at one time. 2 cute, Good for you on earning the cars. I am afraid I would have more drips when it comes to water and exercise. :p At I am managing to stay OP. I think I should probably get up from this computer and find something to do that moves me. See you later. Iwillbe  |
Mornin,
Decided to take the day off. :coffee: Had a close food call yesterday. Went to BJ's after work and saw those Pizza Hut Personal Pans on the way out. I'm thinking "Aren't these about 8 pts? I'll have one for dinner." I did, with a salad. Then I looked it up. each slice is 4 pts.!!!!!!! Darn memory. I had just the right # of pts. left for the day to cover it. Phew! (7 cars so far) |
Terri, you and I were posting at the same time. I agree with you that we need to have a splurge once in awhile. It makes our metabolism work better too. Just my opinion. Iwillbe :0)

Its sort of dreary here in OHIO today with light snowflurries. I guess I'm stuck in Hawaii till I earn another bonus plane, therefore I'm going to stay put and Fly to Germany next instead of coming home. :( It's a good thing I'm sending my chauffeur to pick you ladies up daily.:smug: I hired him from a strip club so ladies cool your duels. So far He's picked up Evilyn, Memoc,Barbpa,J-Ann,Sandy in Maine and now heading down the East Coast. Hello, J-Ann-Iwillbe-Grannie-determined-Jibbelle-2cute and blissful Hope everyone is staying close to your plan.:dizzy: I know its very hard when Pizza Hut is calling your name, But I know we can succeed.;) 1/2 way thru my water glug, glug, glug. Talk to all later if I can stay out of the john.:write: journal |
Just checking in while I have my yummy on plan lunch! I hope everyone else is doing the same! Gotta earn those cars! vroom vroom

Hi folks--Relatively on plan, having trouble with exercise this week, though. Gee, I'm dropping pounds daily, which I guess is all water weight due to getting my water consumption up so high, but it's also meant a couple inches off my hips, so I don't care whether it's water or not! (You know how I was complaining about the potty runs earlier... well, it does seem to be getting better, but yesterday I got my 64 oz. in before I left work, and then I ended up going out to a bar with my friends, and I didn't want to drink anything, for various reasons, so I started drinking club soda, and I must've had 6 big beer glasses full at least... I'm going to float away!)
SueMarie--None of my business, I suppose, but your sister is living with you, and she refuses to help you with your weight loss? You deserve better treatment than that. And keep those size 8s and 10s! Nothing wrong with lofty goals! gmalil--Hope all goes well for your granddaughter. And hang in there... good for you for checking in when things get tough, instead of going MIA (which is what I tend to do). Marcie--I guess your plan doesn't allow for chocolate, huh? Ditto to what Terri and Iwillbe said... Personally, I've had so much more success with plans that allow me to have some sweets now and then, compensating with fewer calories/carbs in other areas. Good for you, though, for resisting the urge to binge. Hilta--I never thought of flying from one remote location to another! Rats! When I earned two bonus points I used the second one to fly back home.... Well, next time, eh? |
SueMarie – Just out of curiosity, is your sister normal sized? I always make an analogy between my problem and alcoholism. People who wouldn’t dream of offering a recovering alcoholic a beer routinely offer me crappy food and get insulted if I don’t take it, like I am the one being offensive. I guess I can’t expect people not to eat in front of me, but it is easier when you’re not tempted by others’ things.
Blissful – just look for the numbers of the thread (e.g. #645). On my computer the threads I have read are in light blue ink, and the threads where there are new postings are in dark blue. Also, the numbers change every other day or so, not every Monday. Not much to type today except I haven't been feeling well for the longest time. Nothing specific, just vague feelings of not being myself. Plus I am sooo tired. Hello to everybody and stay OP and healthy - Ruby |
Quick Update
Thank you all again for your love and support during this difficult time. :(
I've just returned from my egg retrieval procedure. The Dr. was able to get 3 eggs. It's out of our hands now - we just have to hope an pray they fertilize and survive a freeze and thaw to be transfered back where they belong. I have just about an hour to nap before we have to head to the airport. I am tired and groggy from the anethesia and a bit crampy. It's going to be a long day and a rough few days. I'll update you when I can. Love, Barb :grouphug: |
checking in
Angela, thanks for the good thoughts. I haven't heard dgd's today's report yet. Waiting is awful. :dizzy: You have me pegged though, it would be easy to go MIA right now, I have discovered once again that I AM a "stress eater". "Feeeding my anxieties".
Barbpa Congrats on the 3 eggs. Hoping and praying that one of them does what it is supposed to do. What is the next step in that process? I think you are blessed to have this glimmer of hope during these hard days that you have ahead of you. May God Bless you and your loved ones Real Good during this time especially!! |
Joyce - Keep us posted about your dgd. Bedrest is not fun. She'll be in my prayers.
BarbPA - You're gone by now but just wanted to say how glad I am about three!!! Maybe triplets! Lots of hugs and prayers. Ruby - Sorry to hear you're not feeling up to par. Its frustrating when its nothing specific. Hang in there. Maybe you need a change of scenery. Angela - I'm saving my cars to put on once a week. That way I can be strategic about my route. I think 2Cute has created some car monsters! That's a lot of club soda! Good job on losing inches too. Marcie - So what was the yummy on plan lunch? We need ideas! Hilta - Good job on the treadmill. Sweatin' off the pounds! Mary - Howdy! J-Ann - Ouch on the pizza! I did one of the almost oops last night with the biscuit. Six points each! But I had exercised and used a few flex points and stayed within my plan. Love that about WW. What did you do on your day off? Iwillbe - Did you get moving? I know that doesn't get caught up for everyone. I've already done my exercise for the day - 40 mins pilates this AM. 30 minutes spinner and 20 min dog walk tonight - and its time for dinner! And then work I brought home. Yuck. Oh and off to the dryer first. Later chicks! |
