BarbPa - Big big hugs , I hope everything works out and you and your family stay strong.
I'm still trying to get myself to wake up at a normal time. I was wakeing up at 7-9am but now it's so hard to get myself out of bed before 10am. I'm still wanting to do a morning workout but its so hard to get up! I don't know why. I have two alarms - a wakeup call and my regular alarm clock, and it makes no difference. I've been having such a hard time getting more than 15 minutes of my video in too I think I might be sick. But starting today I'm going to fix my eating. I read somewhere that a lady who was successful in weightloss ate a big breakfast and a big lunch, and small light dinner - always before 8pm. I like this idea because Dinner always feels like its weighing me down, and that way your biggest meals get burned off sooner. I'm going to try it and see how it works out. *hugs* I hope all of you are well and staying on track, Much love |
Good morning Marcie and CD. :sunny:
I guess everyone is busy driving Cross Country. :) I had a HARD day yesterday staying on program... but I DID IT :cp: We went to this hamberger joint for dinner and I WANTED this big ole Sausage/Hamberget sandwich which is their specialty... and a BIG OLE homemade rootbeer. :T I REALLY WANTED IT BAD !!!!! :yikes: But I got a damn grilled chicken salad instead. ugh And it was itty bitty taboot. :( I was really feeling sorry for myself. BUT.... I did it. All for a stupid little CAR. Welll... I gotta go. See you all later. |
Good morning everyone, Almost afternoon!
CD. I have my biggest meal at lunch. I started doing this a few years ago, after we retired. I find that I rest better at night by eating very light. This might not work for everyone, but it does for me. I don't have a big b'fast though. As for getting up early...wish that I could sleep late. :) Hilta, I think I have that book for dummies somewhere around here, but it might as well be greek. :?: My gradson knows more about these computers than I do and he is young! :o Marcie, without your help I was lost. I am not sure my tracker is right yet, but close. BarbPa, I was so sorry to hear about your Mothers passing, please know that prayers are being said for you and family. I am having a good OP day and need to go drink some more water so that I can run to the bathroom all afternoon. I feel that I spend more time in there than anywhere else lately. ;) I have thought of just moving the tv in there and getting my pillow to prop up on and STAY PUT! :p Moving on now, Iwillbe |
2cute, you and I were posting at the same time.. I had to chuckle when I read your post. Thanks for the laugh. I know just how you feel, But you won a victory didn't you? And a car!! LOL! Iwillbe
|
:cheer: WTG, 2cute! Well done! Sorry it felt like deprivation, though. You were GOOD to yourself. Really!
CD, I'm a non-getter-up too. I have no clue how to fix that. I've tried self-medicating with a ton of caffeine, and I know you're into being healthy, so that probably wouldn't appeal to you. And it only works sometimes. I was OP yesterday... this seems to be getting easier, although I'm not feeling like I'm getting a whole lot of other things done. |
BarbPa sorry about your mother my prayers are with you tomorrow also.
Food is ok but i sure do wat a whopper(burger) and fries. the weather here is dreARY It has been raining for several days now. Catch all of you later |
BarbPA – Sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. Continuing to pray for her and your family.
2Cute – Give yourself a big hug for staying on plan in the face of such temptation!! I so admire your willpower! Have a good day everybody -Ruby |
Good afternoon to all.:) Its sunny here in OHIO :sunny: Sun always makes
you feel much better. Helps with those winter BLAHS BARBPA- I am also very sorry to hear about you Mom. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. 2cute - Good going! I don't know if I would have the willpower. I'm proud of you, and just think another car. Follow your plan your goal gets closer every day that way.;) :cheer: Grannie:rain:- Hope the sun shines for you real soon:sunny: it does make you feel more energetic. Iwillbe- I know what you mean about Grandkids. My oldest is 20, when he was small he was a whiz at the computer games. CD-I also try to have my biggest meal at lunch.:hungry: I believe it helps a lot. therubyslipper-angela_aka_alice-and to all others I've missed -earn your cars-Stay OP- and will check in later:coach: :coffee2: :comp: |
2cute - congrats on staying OP! I blooped a bit today.. my roomie begged ( :?: ) me to go to Steak N' Shake and I agreed after much contemplation. I got my usual - which is the Spicey Chicken platter, chili and cottage cheeze on the side. I didn't finish everything (tryign to get used to only eating what I really want!) but I did have shake :( So yay for your willpower! Maybe I should try to have the same :)
IWillBe - be glad that you get up early. I hate it, I hate sleeping past 7-8am. I would really much rather have a reason to get up and have a full productive day than to know deep down I have no reason and have the hardest time getting up. Before all my school troubles my job was at 8:30am and I'd get up at 6:30 and get there at 7:15 just because I really loved being awake in the morning, but I had a reason to be awake. Trust me, early bird enjoys the day much more :) Angela - you are right :) Caffeine is one of my favorite hate relationships. I never have anything with caffeine (except for an occasional mocha, but even that is down to maybe once a year) because it's just one of those "if I can keep some kind of unhealthy thing out of my body, then why not?". I have the same relationship with butter, grease, most meats, and most sweets. I guess its my way of feeling "power". I gotta figure out some natural healthy ways to spurt my energy :( I'm sure if I could just muster up the energy to open my blinds and let the sun shine in I'd be fine ;) Hilta - thanks :) I think I'll definitely try it. I guess I've always been used to living in a household where no one was home till late afternoon, and my mom would always make a huge dinner for everyone to feast on. I guess it was the only "family" thing we did, and even now I guess I've always viewed dinner as the relaxing end of the day "big meal". I'm definitely going to try to change it. My tummy is a-full, but I'm trying to pump all my water in! I finally had yummy oatmeal for breakfast this morning, so I'm one step closer to achieving my weekly goals (eat a healthy breakfast, big lunch, light dinner). I'm thinking I'll have a slimfast, salad, or small small bowl of noodles for dinner. Hope you all have a great day! I'm about to go write some documents to help me with motivation :) |
I'm Back
Hello chickies!
I am back from Florida and now I am back to work! Florida was nice, but I gained 14 pounds (or so my scale says)!!!!!!!!!! I don't think that I really gained that much, but you never know. I have been going to Bally's everyday now, which is good, but my eating stinks. It seems that when I exercise, I want to eat more and more. I am also drinking my water, so at least 2 out of 3 ain't bad. 2Cute: Thanks for sending the challenge my way. I am putting on my cars for the water and exercise. Thin: Lovely seeing you again on Monday (I am talking in my uppitty English person's voice). You are truly a remarkable woman and friend. BarbPA: You and your family are in my prayers! CD: Good job on the water intake. BTW-your meal at steak and shake sounded really good. Hilta, Grannie, Ruby, Angela, Iwillbe: Hi!!! Well, got to run.... Susie |
Hello Ladies!
Angela – I have to agree with you… Doritos are a bad study partner! I try not to stay up late… because that’s when the cravings come. I do try to keep healthy stuff in my house, but it’s hard. Now that my sister is living with me (since beginning of January) she’s been bringing all sorts of stuff in. No matter what I tell her. She says… just don’t eat it. That’s like leading a thirsty horse to water and telling him don’t drink. DUH! Well so I ate her Doritos… I just gotta be more careful… Hippychick – I have clothing that I saved from like the 80’s that are like size 8 and 10 that my sisters used to wear. I can throw away the bigger clothing, but having a hard time throwing away the smaller stuff. Funny huh? I always think one day I’ll fit into these clothes. Terri (Determined) – You know, I copied the roll call, but I forgot to put my name at the end… DUH! :o I will re-copy the roll call and add my name this time  About the zigzag / wendie thing… that’s exactly what I heard, that it keeps your body from thinking it’s starving because one day you eat below average and another day you eat above, however in the end it all comes out to the same amount. IWillBe - I dunno if anyone has answered your question about the tracker, but when you go to edit your signature, look for the are where you put the track info and you’ll see numbers… like this /378/200/359 the numbers are your starting weight, goal weight and current weight… unless you did a count down of how many pound you want to loose. All you gotta do is look in your signature area where you copied the code and change the numbers. It’s hard to really tell you what to look for without actually looking at your account. BarbPA – Thank you for sharing and updating us about your family and yourself. You are in my thoughts and prayers! I am sorry for your loss *great big hugz* I’ve gotten behind by 2 threads… so many people posting! Great to hear and see everyone! I’m afraid I’ve lost track of the roll call. I think this is the most updated one. If it’s not please for give me… Roll Call for 2x2 ending 2/14/05: Terri Angela Judy Jibbelle 2cute Hilta Iwillbe gmalil CD Mary Leanne Ruby Itstime / Circles Barbg ThinThinker GizmoV Dimples! SueMarie Lots of teachers here :) nice to hear/read that. I’m working towards my degree right now. I have a degree in Computer Graphics, however when I got laid off I figured I would go back to school and work towards a teaching degree and teach it maybe at the college level. However, I kinda want to work with deaf children. I volunteered at the school for the deaf for a year out here. I love the culture and I love the language. It’s gonna be a looooong week… and it’s already half over… UGG! I am thinking about looking for another job. I would much rather work at an elementary than this middle school… man! Grrr! Grumble! Ahhh! Okie I feel better hehehe… I haven’t been exercising like I should be… I gained a pound back. I’m gonna try to get myself exercising a bit more… just gotta kick my but and get myself in gear. Its been hard lately, specially with classes going again. Hope everyone is doing well! Sue… |
staying curent
Checking in to say hi and be accountable. it has been a difficult couple of days with lots of eating out. :(
but doing sort of o.k., and better at jounaling and drinking water. I have a second WI at curves tomorrow as part of the Weight loss class. :dizzy: I had disturbing news from my granddaughter yesterday, she is in her 24th week of her first pregnancy and shows signs of going into labor, with thinning cervix and the nurse said she was having contractions. so she is on bedrest and steroid shots to help the baby's lungs develop. dgd is in the USAF and stationed in NC. |
hi everyone, please tell me an easy way to find this thread when the title changes every monday!!!! I have a problem with that! I am down a few more when it comes to my goals and am very pleased!!! and thrilled for everyone!
|
Got 3 out of 4 cars today. :cp:
Nothing much to say tonight. |
GOOOOOOD morning all! I was feeling very "bingey" yesterday but I made it through the day on plan, plus 5 chocolate chips. : ) For some reason I was just hungry all day and wanted to each junk, but I managed to make it without much damage. I just neeeeeded some chocolate. I know you have all been there!
I dont really have much else to report. Good luck to everyone today...earn those cars!!! |
Marcie - Make those chips dark chocolate and you can/should eat 1 oz a day for the heart benefits it provides. Then it isn't "junk".
Don't forget, ladies, that we need to plan "splurges" into our eating plans. That can be a daily splurge, once a week, or once a month. But plan for those times when you want that Burger King or that root beer and allow that splurge to satisfy. The thing is to remove the guilt from eating those foods. Last night, it was Church's chicken. DH was distressed about his brother (and mad at his mother) so he wasn't up for cooking. I didn't argue because our lives are going to have days where we want that kind of chicken. I ate a couple of bites of the crunchy skin and fed the dog the rest. I ate three biscuits, took them out of flex points, and will feed the dog the rest this morning. One of the keys to success for us is keeping food enjoyable and having nutritional value - not punishing, not depriving, not drudgery. I'm going to start going in to the office earlier. I'm tired of getting home at 6 or after every night. It makes for too short of evenings with little done. But I'm not giving up my morning exercise. I was spending too much time lollygagging around in the mornings and getting in to work later than really necessary. So, no time for other replies this morning. Make today an OP day! |
Good morning Ladies,
Marcie, I hate those bingey days. I think everybody has them, and probably, we all handle them differently. I am past the hormonal thing, but I still get the chocolate craving. Bummer! :( I don't think a couple of hersheys kisses or something like that would do a lot of damage, that is unless you do what I did a few weeks ago. I swear that bag of kisses evaporated, I couldn't have possibly eaten that many at one time. 2 cute, Good for you on earning the cars. I am afraid I would have more drips when it comes to water and exercise. :p At I am managing to stay OP. I think I should probably get up from this computer and find something to do that moves me. See you later. Iwillbe  |
Mornin,
Decided to take the day off. :coffee: Had a close food call yesterday. Went to BJ's after work and saw those Pizza Hut Personal Pans on the way out. I'm thinking "Aren't these about 8 pts? I'll have one for dinner." I did, with a salad. Then I looked it up. each slice is 4 pts.!!!!!!! Darn memory. I had just the right # of pts. left for the day to cover it. Phew! (7 cars so far) |
Terri, you and I were posting at the same time. I agree with you that we need to have a splurge once in awhile. It makes our metabolism work better too. Just my opinion. Iwillbe :0)

Good morning all

:coffee: Good Morning to one and all. Just finished my 25 on the old tread.:tread: :cb: Now I know where the water is going! Sweat,Sweat,Sweat.
Its sort of dreary here in OHIO today with light snowflurries. I guess I'm stuck in Hawaii till I earn another bonus plane, therefore I'm going to stay put and Fly to Germany next instead of coming home. :( It's a good thing I'm sending my chauffeur to pick you ladies up daily.:smug: I hired him from a strip club so ladies cool your duels. So far He's picked up Evilyn, Memoc,Barbpa,J-Ann,Sandy in Maine and now heading down the East Coast. Hello, J-Ann-Iwillbe-Grannie-determined-Jibbelle-2cute and blissful Hope everyone is staying close to your plan.:dizzy: I know its very hard when Pizza Hut is calling your name, But I know we can succeed.;) 1/2 way thru my water glug, glug, glug. Talk to all later if I can stay out of the john.:write: journal |
Just checking in while I have my yummy on plan lunch! I hope everyone else is doing the same! Gotta earn those cars! vroom vroom

Hi folks--Relatively on plan, having trouble with exercise this week, though. Gee, I'm dropping pounds daily, which I guess is all water weight due to getting my water consumption up so high, but it's also meant a couple inches off my hips, so I don't care whether it's water or not! (You know how I was complaining about the potty runs earlier... well, it does seem to be getting better, but yesterday I got my 64 oz. in before I left work, and then I ended up going out to a bar with my friends, and I didn't want to drink anything, for various reasons, so I started drinking club soda, and I must've had 6 big beer glasses full at least... I'm going to float away!)
SueMarie--None of my business, I suppose, but your sister is living with you, and she refuses to help you with your weight loss? You deserve better treatment than that. And keep those size 8s and 10s! Nothing wrong with lofty goals! gmalil--Hope all goes well for your granddaughter. And hang in there... good for you for checking in when things get tough, instead of going MIA (which is what I tend to do). Marcie--I guess your plan doesn't allow for chocolate, huh? Ditto to what Terri and Iwillbe said... Personally, I've had so much more success with plans that allow me to have some sweets now and then, compensating with fewer calories/carbs in other areas. Good for you, though, for resisting the urge to binge. Hilta--I never thought of flying from one remote location to another! Rats! When I earned two bonus points I used the second one to fly back home.... Well, next time, eh? |
SueMarie – Just out of curiosity, is your sister normal sized? I always make an analogy between my problem and alcoholism. People who wouldn’t dream of offering a recovering alcoholic a beer routinely offer me crappy food and get insulted if I don’t take it, like I am the one being offensive. I guess I can’t expect people not to eat in front of me, but it is easier when you’re not tempted by others’ things.
Blissful – just look for the numbers of the thread (e.g. #645). On my computer the threads I have read are in light blue ink, and the threads where there are new postings are in dark blue. Also, the numbers change every other day or so, not every Monday. Not much to type today except I haven't been feeling well for the longest time. Nothing specific, just vague feelings of not being myself. Plus I am sooo tired. Hello to everybody and stay OP and healthy - Ruby |
Quick Update
Thank you all again for your love and support during this difficult time. :(
I've just returned from my egg retrieval procedure. The Dr. was able to get 3 eggs. It's out of our hands now - we just have to hope an pray they fertilize and survive a freeze and thaw to be transfered back where they belong. I have just about an hour to nap before we have to head to the airport. I am tired and groggy from the anethesia and a bit crampy. It's going to be a long day and a rough few days. I'll update you when I can. Love, Barb :grouphug: |
checking in
Angela, thanks for the good thoughts. I haven't heard dgd's today's report yet. Waiting is awful. :dizzy: You have me pegged though, it would be easy to go MIA right now, I have discovered once again that I AM a "stress eater". "Feeeding my anxieties".
Barbpa Congrats on the 3 eggs. Hoping and praying that one of them does what it is supposed to do. What is the next step in that process? I think you are blessed to have this glimmer of hope during these hard days that you have ahead of you. May God Bless you and your loved ones Real Good during this time especially!! |
Joyce - Keep us posted about your dgd. Bedrest is not fun. She'll be in my prayers.
BarbPA - You're gone by now but just wanted to say how glad I am about three!!! Maybe triplets! Lots of hugs and prayers. Ruby - Sorry to hear you're not feeling up to par. Its frustrating when its nothing specific. Hang in there. Maybe you need a change of scenery. Angela - I'm saving my cars to put on once a week. That way I can be strategic about my route. I think 2Cute has created some car monsters! That's a lot of club soda! Good job on losing inches too. Marcie - So what was the yummy on plan lunch? We need ideas! Hilta - Good job on the treadmill. Sweatin' off the pounds! Mary - Howdy! J-Ann - Ouch on the pizza! I did one of the almost oops last night with the biscuit. Six points each! But I had exercised and used a few flex points and stayed within my plan. Love that about WW. What did you do on your day off? Iwillbe - Did you get moving? I know that doesn't get caught up for everyone. I've already done my exercise for the day - 40 mins pilates this AM. 30 minutes spinner and 20 min dog walk tonight - and its time for dinner! And then work I brought home. Yuck. Oh and off to the dryer first. Later chicks! |
|
Hello everyone! Glad to be back... I've been doing billing at work all week and the weekend... I hate this time of the month--but Sooo glad when it's over! And Sooo happy to see the sun shining here today!! It's been raining and yucky most of the last week or two. Makes me lazy.
Been staying OP ok-ish... not cheating, but not really watching it like I should. Doing Curves still... that stair step machine they added is kicking my BUTT!!! Maybe that means it'll work off some of this butt. People are really noticing my weight loss! My husband looked at me Sunday and said, "oh, my god, babe, you are getting so thin!" And that was out of NOWHERE! He's usually great about noticing something I change about myself and it felt great for him to see it. Too bad the boobs are disappearing. Oooh, and guess what? I tried on a little suede skirt I haven't been able to zip in ohhhh, about FOUR years, a size 24, and it fits PERFECT! I could hardly believe it. All of that and you'd think I'd be able to stay OP better... I've got to give myself a kick in the arse and get back on it. Thinking here and there about changing to South Beach or Atkins or Sugarbusters, but the more I think about it, the more I realize how complicated my life is to begin with... I think I will stick with what I'm on and maybe do WW in a few months. Terri-- You sound like me with the office job... I usually get in about 8:30 and don't get out until after 5:30, but if I'd just get my butt in there at 8, I could leave on time and feel like I have some sort of an evening, especially after nights after exercising, I don't get home until 7 or 7:30. Blehh! But I have a 9 y/o who I can't drag out of the house until 7:45 in the morning... everything went out the window with being on time when she learned how to tell time and KNOWS what time the bell rings! :dizzy: Angela-- I know whatcha mean about floating away! Yesterday I did my 68oz (4 17 oz bottles) and had FOUR glasses of unsweetened iced tea at lunch... GAWD was I DYING. BarbP-- that's wonderful!! I hope everything works out for you and DH. I'll be thinking of and praying for you. For the short time I've known you, I know how much you want this. Best of luck to you! CD-- I have always wanted to have a morning workout, but I have never been a morning person. I wish that I was. I would love to have my workout done before work! Good for you for trying a new arrangement in your eating plan. I am like you... I have always had my biggest meal in the evening, a skimpy running-out-the-door breakfast and a nice-sized lunch. Cutting back on the lunch now in size and have something small when I get home from work. Good luck on it. |
STOP... Don't post here... follow us to the next numbered thread,300+ and Ready To Try Again #646!!! ;)
