Default Need advice please

I am experiencing some new things that I would just like to run by you all. About the same time each day (which just so happens to be about 1pm after I have eaten breakfast, a morning snack and lunch) I get a little bit lightheaded. I am thinking that it is my body adjusting to this new way of eating. I have been on plan for 5 days now and it started like on the 3rd day.

I am currently 5"7 and 283 lbs. I am consuming 1500 calories a day, less than 40 fat, 100 carbs and 100 protein. I am drinking about 90-100 oz of water as well each day.

Have any of you had this feeling and does it go away after your body adjusts? When I do feel like it, I eat something and it goes away. But now its like I don't know if I am anticipating it and my mind is playing tricks on me or what. Do you know what I mean?

Please help! I figured out that in the past this is where I get to feeling like this and I dont like the feeling so then I usually give up and go back to my old ways... I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE UP!!!! But at the same time, it makes me nervous as well.....

Thank you for listening!

Hi Kerri:

The only time that that has happened to me was some years ago when I was doing Quick Weight Loss. I was told that it was caused from low potasium and that I should add a 1/2 teaspoon of Lite Salt to my diet every day. Salt contains potasium chloride as well as sodium and they said that was all I needed to make that feeling go away. I don't know if this is good sound medical advice, but it worked for me and might be worth the try. They did say to use "lite" salt.

I was going to say the same thing! You are drinking A LOT of water....and you need to make sure you are getting some salt! I use Mortan Lite as well.

OK I will try that. What if I eat a small banana a day. I know they have potassium??

I have not had this problem... but I do want to warn you to read any medications info.
My father and my husband both take medicines that tell you NOT to use salt substitutes. Morton Lite Salt may not fit within this ... but just be sure to read that info the pharmacy gives you with any medications you may be taking.
Hope you find a solution to your problem.
