Awesome in August Excercise Thread
In honor of what Heather started:
Welcome to the August exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process! In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves. If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes, maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month! We have done so great...so far this year we are at 10,816 minutes Let's Try again- I really want to push us for August, I know we can make this! Goal for August is 4100 Minutes!! We invite you to join us! To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes. Don't be scared or feel overwhelmed...we can do this!! Keep walking, keep working, keep going!! We are all getting stronger!! |
This month I need to have a personal goal for accountability....July was rough so let's just focus on how successful August will be
Personal goal for me 1400 minutes for August. I will add to our total as a group while I countdown my personal goal. |

It has taken a bit to get back on track after my long vacation.
30 min workout this morning. 34+30=64 Minutes |
64 minutes + 15 min shoulder neck yoga=79 min

Yesterday 20 minutes yard work + 159 = 179 minutes

201 min + 18 min tai chi + 10 minutes yoga=229 min

33 minutes lunch walk - a mile and a half! That's faster than usual for me.
229 - 33 = 262 minutes |

So Fitbit is showing that I input a 13 minute walk on MFP on 8/4. That makes no sense to me at all and I'm not gonna count it. I don't remember doing it...or any reason WHY I would have done that...instead of letting the Fitbit clock it. So that has to be an error.
But I did do 50 minutes of mostly lap swimming. aaaannnd that was it for the long, lazy weekend. So: 465 + 50 minutes = 515 minutes. |

8/10/17 walking 23 minutes at noon total 61 minutes 749 + 61 = 810 minutes! |
A little late posting but
30 min this morning 30 + 810= 840 Minutes I set a goal for myself this week to go M-F to the gym before work and I just have tomorrow morning left. I think I am going to try to do Sat/Sun as well. Perhaps a 3 mile walk in the park since I have a 5K in October. Very excited about it. Have a good night everyone. |

work- on days, mall walk at least 1 to 2 x round.....;);) off work days- house cleaning 40 mins, walking 60 mins, :dizzy: Thats about it for my exercise usually every other day type of on off exercise schedule. 2nd job soon begins again.....then schedule will be :(pending)....
