Samiam: I've got to try that cauliflower rice. I keep seeing it everywhere. I really like the cauliflower mashed so I should like the rice. Do you chop your own buy it frozen?

Hello everyone..... Still dying a little of the cold. Couldn't make the gym at all yesterday, weighed in today now only 2.8lbs up so you can tell it was so far water weight. Its my Birthday today so I have decided that I will not go to the gym and just take one more day to try and pull my S**t together. Hopefully I will be back on track by tomorrow and able to go crazy in the gym.
SamIam I can't believe you are watching Still Game :lol: It is like the national programme of Scotland :lol:. I speak very much like they do in it. I used to live in Glasgow (where it's set), so funny to think you are watching it. If you are into the military..... Gary Tank Commander is also a rather funny Scottish Comedy show. |

Ruby I like the rice fairly well. I only just now heard of them selling it frozen lol...I take mine and usually just blitz it in the food processor but sometimes I'll use my mandolin and shred it that way too. I fancy the cauliflower mash as well but I feel like the rice you can do more with than just making a mashed potato substitute.
Scotsgal Happy Belated Birthday!! Hope you had a great day even with being sick. Netflix has put on quite a good few shows on there but I also have an android box that I watch the majority of television on. That's awesome that you ised to live in Glasgow! I'll have to check put the other show. We just finished with Chewin the Fat and Rab C Nesbitt. And of course Bourniston and Limmy Show were great too. The DH and I catch ourselves using Scottish phrases every so often lol Sugar Welcome back my dear. It's great to see you again. I'm back after a bit away but it's much needed I feel to stay on track so here I am. Sorry I forgot to post yesterday. Almost forgot today so I'm posting just before bed. Been habing to work on my phone for the past couple days so I've been preoccupied with that. I dod however manage to stsh on plsn and got some exercise in. Yesterday DH and I went on a walk. It was short because he can't walk for as long as I can get but I woild rather make sure he gets some sort of exercise in. Today walkedv by myself and got almost 5 miles in about an hour to an hour and a half,. Well phone is slipping from my hands so I better call it a night. Be well everyone! |

Went to the gym yesterday and barely made 40mins. Today will need to be walking because I am very flemmy today and have a runny nose and can barely breathe. Sugar2go We had the same start weight :D Are you an German living in Germany? Or are you a natural English speaker? American/Canadian/British...... I love Germany :D Sam That's so strange that you have watched all of them :lol: I think many of their quotes are just naturally part of our language now a days :lol:. Oh and you would be very lucky to find someone who looked like Rab C, Just to let you know :lol: That's not what we all look like :lol:. But us Scots do our best to really make fun of ourselves. Not sure if there are many other countries out there who do the same. We love a good joke lol |

Yesterday was a quite funny way - my food attacked me - I tried to cut done my sweet potatoes and ended up deeply cutting my finger... - and you know the real trouble about that? although losing a great amount of blood and a bit of finger - i didn't even lose 2 gramms - and needed to get chinese food today to make up for all this stress. But don't worry it is tracked and I'm on track - and back to two finger typing like at the beginning of my typing life:) Sam - great we are still here and on track...yoiu have to do the walking at the moment for both of us as my knee tried to cuddle with an ice block and still needs rest. Scotsgal - real German, really living in Germany..;)..but I can only give it back - I love Scotland...and Ireland...and Sweden and Finland and all these nice places I hardly have time to visit. Took a rest day yesterday as I had a doctor appointment late in the afternoon and had to run errands after, but have worked out every day this week otherwise so I feel okay with it. I had my yearly blood work done last week and had to come in for the results. My doctor said everything was good and normal. I am still on the BP meds for the time being but hope to be able to get back off them soon. Of course she mentioned my weight gain but I didn't say much about it because my very first visit with her she tried to charge my insurance company for weight management coding and she did nothing of the sort. I had to call and tear in to them because it wasn't true so they resubmitted without that for my insurance to cover my visit. I am considering finding another primary doctor. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but trying to make up for the day missed. Scotsgal Honestly I prefer British shows over a lot of our American shows. I feel like the humor is so much better, the acting is good and I like the fact that most actors look like regular people compared to the "beautiful" people of Hollywood. I do have to watch them with subtitles on sometimes just to make sure I don't miss anything :D. Hope you are feeling better! :hug: Sugar Sorry your knee is acting up. I noticed mine was feeling a bit sore after my walk on Wednesday. I was hoping this weekend would be nice enough outside to go on another walk but it looks like it'll be in the low 50s during the day. The cold air getting in my lungs when I breathe in that cold of air hurts my chest so I'll be doing some inside exercise or go to the gym this weekend. Not much else really going on with me. Doing good so far with eating. I've been having quite a bit of different soups with beans though and I think it may be too many carbs for my body. I've been having salads for lunch this week and fruit or cottage cheese for snacks. Hoping for a bit of a loss on my weigh in on Sunday but if not I'll just keep working at it. DH and I really want to try for a baby this year and I need to get my health in order as much as possible. I was hoping to already be at my goal weight so any weight gain from a pregnancy wouldn't feel so bad. DH and I have hormone problems, PCOS for me and Low T for him. I also suffer from bipolar disorder and am on medication for that. I've been told I can't be on any medication while pregnant so that has been a scary thought for me, but I don't want to worry I could be causing harm to my baby. Last year my doctor told me that my health seemed to be in good order and he did not think it would be an issue for me to get pregnant. I am hoping to get the money together so DH can see a urologist and get himself checked out. I think he has been wanting to put it off because I think he secretly thinks if it comes back that he is sterile or won't be able to conceive it will be his fault. I made sure to tell him that I won't be mad at him or blame him because it isn't something he can help. I know I'll be devastated inside, but I could never show him that because he'll feel even worse and I don't want him to have to feel that way. If that happens then we have been thinking of possibly getting a donor or adopting. My FIL has already offered to pay for fertility treatments. He was a grand so badly as he has none yet. Fertility treatments are very expensive though, the upside of $20K per time you try. I could never let him pay for that. I would him rather give us that money towards buying land to build our house and figure another way to have kids. Thanks guys for always being here. Check in tomorrow. just a short drop in as i was hit by a car today when i crossed the street at a green traffic light. Luck was in my side, no real damage done but i spend half the day at the hospital and police station and needed comfort food afterwards. But today I don't really care I'm just happy to be alice and still kicking. Maybe it was one oft those occurrences that happen to show me to take care and enjoy my life more. |

Phae ... :wave: hello - just noticed your goal list has the under 300 achieved - go you! me I have been running around sorting out my 2 girls school stuff for this year. they start again tomorrow for the year after 6 weeks off over Christmas - Summer vacation in NZ - however Feb is the hottest month though so there is talk about adjusting the school years again...will see when and or if it happens Went to the beach yesterday loads of fun - hubby sat on towel at the beach whilst girls and I played jumps the waves .. did this in the ocean for about 2 and a half hours without realising it... stopped at macdonalds on way home.. ewww..... tried to keep it healthy but um... nope... however pleased to say even with icky maccers being a bit over on my points with weight watchers still managed a nice decent little loss... fun info for today - miss 10 our youngest of the two mum Im getting bigger your shrinking! = me - Im not getting shorter... no but mummy I can hug you easier ... I can get both arms around you and squeeze! |
Don't really have much to say but I just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone. Its been pretty much same old same old over here. I've found a comfortable routine with my food, very rarely do I go over my 1500 calories. I tried Halo Top because everyone on Reddit's 1200isplenty was raving about it. I have to say I'm not a fan so far. I've tried 2 flavors and they both were okay...not worth paying over 4 bucks for honestly.

Had a great gym day today, feeling the pain before I even have next day doms. I better be achy tomorrow, I feel like I did really well even though I am still failing at cardio due to the cold still. Sugar OH MY! I hope you are ok! That is not a good day at all and a good time to take a rain check on meal plans. I Love Germany! Been about 7 times in the last 2 years and will be back in May. I play in a show called the Schottische Musik Parade all over the country. Love coming over :D Sam I hope you are able to get what you want when it comes to adding to the family. I love that you like our humour :lol: its very sarcastic :lol: we like to make fun of our selves :lol: Hope everyone else is getting along swimingly, cant believe its nearly February. |

I'm sorry I haven't checked in much from the weekend. I got tied up with cleaning house and filing my taxes that the weekend seemed to breeze on by. Didn't manage to lose anything this week. My weight has bounced back and forth between 247 and 250 everyday. I haven't had much luck with having either a constant loss or a constant gain. It may be partly to do with a lot of my dinner meals have consisted of bean soup. DH and I are trying to save up some money for some things we need so we're trying to eat super cheap meals as much and beans are really cheap. I'm getting right tired of it though so I need to think of some other healthier meals that aren't so carb heavy. Had a good workout on Monday. I did my Chalene Johnson Turbo Jam video. Yesterday I had an upset stomach but was going to force myself to workout anyway. Before I could do that I stepped on something and it stabbed the front ball of my foot so bad that I can't even walk on it now. It bled a bit but the soreness was the worst. DH was very comforting and cleaned the wound and set me with a Hello Kitty bandage. :) I really was looking forward to going on a walk today because the weather is supposed to be nice but I don't know how well that will go with not being able to walk on my foot so well. Scotsgal I look like Winston walking around my house lol!! I'm thinking I may just lift some weights tonight so at least I'm doing something. After telling DH about everything he wants me to find a new doctor. I don't need to go back until July so I'm going to try and start to see his doctor. I can't deal with the crap anymore especially when I usually only go 2 times a year. Man I would have loved 6 weeks off from school when I was a youngin. We only got 2 weeks. It sounds like you had a great time at the beach! I'm hoping to get out to the beach here once it starts to warm up. Ruby I've tried the Halo Top ice creams as well. I think it's hit or miss with them. I liked their lemon pound cake flavor and that was pretty good. The chocolate was ok but the mint was pretty decent but mint is my fave ice cream flavor so I know it isn't for everyone. I don't know if it's worth the money though. Sometimes Kroger has them on sale and that's really the only time I'll buy them. I gotta get going to work for today but hope everyone takes care and has a great day! Cheery-bye!! |
New her Look for help and support
Hello everyone. I just quickly read some of your post and looked at your trackers and it looks like everyone is doing really well. You are all well on your way to your weight loss goals. I just joined late in January. I have made a commitment to myself for myself and my family that I need to not loose the weight for how I look but for the fact of how I want to live. I have lost the weight in the past but just gained it back always with more than I started. This isn't just a diet for me it is going to a change in the way I live which is much harder than I thought it would be. I have really started watching what I eat and I have started going back to the gym this week. Only doing about 30-40 minutes of low key cardio to start because I am so very out of shape. I started at 344lbs as of May or June of last year and I am not down around 307lbs. So I am working hard at it my goal is to get to 160lbs then build back about 20lbs of muscle to tone up my skin and build up a better calorie burning body. So my true end weight goal is 180lbs. I really need some outside support from people who are going through the same things or have been through similar. My family is great but enable me more than anything and that is not what I need.
Also How do you get your weight tracker things they are really cool and seem fun I don't really know how to set up anything on this site yet I am still very new so any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. |
