10 Days In The Life Boat #159

  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.
This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.
  • I've been having trouble committing.
Time to work on one thing.
This leg's goal no junk - pizza, FF or donuts.
This should help me get get my head together.
  • I am in the boat. I have been on track for 29 days.
So this round I will continue to lift weights and increase reps as needed. I will do 45 min on the gazelle and I will eat around 50 carbs per day.
  • Welcome back, Deb.

I let myself get sucked into a FF lunch. ARRGH! I fell in. Today I'm back aboard and glued to my oars!
  • Goals for this round:
    1. Track on Myfitnesspal
    2. Walk at least 6 miles total for this stretch.
    3. 80 oz. of water

Got splashed today. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. Not terrible, but its been a stretch of no splashing so I hated to break it.
  • I am on day 31. I didn't use gazelle 45 min yesterday. I did lift and stay on track with food.
  • I am new to this boat

I am going to TRY and have 10 days on track with my Cal counting after binging and gaining almost a stone in 2 weeks

  • I'm wet again. Very angry with myself.
  • Goals for the life boat
    1. not to go over WW points
    2. get in steps/exercise points!

I throw you life ring and offer to help you climb back up to see if we can stay dry tomorrow - my goal this week is after Easter to get back to eating within my WW points plan - err last week was really bad points wise

I'm sure we can survive the rest of the 10 days and maybe even dry out .... I need to avoid junk food too... as that will really help with staying in my points system!

I however managed to hang onto the side of the boat and tread water and climb back in by going WAY over my steps goal for the week!
  • So, I may have gone for a little swim this weekend. But, I felt in control the whole time--a HUGE difference for me. Typically when I go "off plan" I binge. This weekend, I just enjoyed the holiday. I ate more calories than normal and felt bloated and nasty because of the food I consumed, but I didn't feel out of control with my eating. It's AMAZING the difference you feel when you feed your body quality food and when you eat crap. I figure, holidays/family get togethers....thats all part of the journey. I need to get a handle on my binge/destructive eating behaviors during those times...and overall I think I did that.

Back on plan today. Working a new plan and excited to see if it works.
  • I'm very disappointed with myself and still swimming.
  • Still dry and rowing. The sun feels soooo good. I can't believe I have only cheated one day in 38 days. 🎉
  • Judy take my hand. I will pull you back in. Here take this warm towel and dry off. Time to focus. We can do this!!!
  • I gained just a bit this week but today has been POP!
Thanks for the hand and the towel Deb! I'm DRY!
  • STOP

Head on over to slip 160 where we'll board and venture out again on a new leg of our journey.
