I buckled a seat belt today, I haven't buckled a seat belt since highschool. I am not counting this as a full victory since I was told it was a longer seat belt, but it is a victory still since at my heaviest there is no way I could of done that.

:cheer:

That's awesome!

My moment was after the free BBQ lunch thrown by the school I went for a walk up and down our little hills (those inclines can be EVIL) and wasn't as out of breath. :D Also, I said no to the ice-cream sammys!

I needed another nsv because my weight loss has been non existent for months...

Yesterday I had to help haul 9 sheets of plywood in groups of two up the steps into our condo. This meant 5 trips up and down carrying something heavy. I didn't need a break, and I felt really good doing it.

:bravo: That is AWESOME Jane!!! Way to go!!!

Normally, when I see donuts at work, I'm like this:

but lately, I'm been able to walk by them and not flinch - I just have no desire for them anymore.

That's awesome Dreamgyrl!

ShyHeather 08-26-2013 03:41 PM

Does this count??

I had to walk from the lower parking lot, climb stairs, and an incline of 2-3% and wasn't completely dieing! I was still working on focused breathing and may have been a little loud, but not to where I had to stop and catch my breath.

Looks like I will be getting some extra workouts just from all the darn walking!! Tons of stairs, and a decent incline. :dizzy:

Hope I can someday say, "Yup, I didn't even need to suck in air as hard, just normal breathing for me."

Dreamgyrl 08-26-2013 04:33 PM

Shyheather - it counts! YAY!

pjvw34 08-26-2013 09:55 PM

Heather - YEA!!!:cheer2:

That is an awesome NSV!!! I have noticed that I can walk and talk at the same time... and not be so out of breath that you can't understand me!!! LOL... So very good NSV!!! And sounds like you will get to practice even more... you can do it!!!

Someone at work stopped me today to tell me how tiny I was getting. It made me laugh so hard because they all keep calling me skinny and tiny now. I said something to the girl about it and how it made me laugh. She asked me my goal weight and I told her, plus I told her that you know I was a long ways from it. I even told her how much I weighed currently, and she was like, "Well, you're smaller than me." And that's the weirdest feeling because everyone keeps saying that now. I've always been the BIGGEST person in the bunch or room, and now I'm getting smaller than people. It's a victory, but it's weird. I had to say something.

Accidentally bought a X top instead of a 1X to wear as a shell under a way too revealing dress (1X and way too lose up top, which is a victory itself). While the X is far too short to wear as anything other than a shell, it fit! So much for not losing anything!

Dreamgyrl 08-28-2013 08:02 AM

Well my favorite pair of pants are just ridiculously too big, even with a belt. In fact, when I wear them, not only will the snap closure not stay close but I think they make me look bigger! I remember when I first bought them they were soooooooo tight.

I've also had a coworker come up to me and say "Have you been losing weight - you look good!" Its still not registering with me that people are noticing my weightloss considering that I'm 292 lbs.
