Hi everyone! I joined a few months ago and was active for a little and then seemed to drop off. I don't know why, but I've dropped the ball on weight loss. My starting weight was 335 and I'm now at 303. I started following weight watchers in August. I go through the yo-yo cycle where I will lose and then gain the same 2 pounds week after week. I've made so many changes (like exercising more), but tend to ruin my progress on weekends. I feel like my progress is horrible. So little progress in so many months, but then I try to remind myself that at least I didn't gain another 30 pounds since August instead.

I'm just feeling like a weight loss failure lately. I know I need to just push myself to commit more and do better, I'm just frustrated that my progress is so slow, but I only have myself to blame.

I'm hoping coming back here will be good support and motivation to keep me going!

Hi Ktj862,

I just joined today. I know what it's like to not feel like your making progress with diets, I have had the same issue all my life. I have never not been obese. Like many of the people on here, we know there has to be change and I think that is where I have been messing up. It's not about following a diet until you reach your goal, it's about getting to the roots of what made you turn to food in the first place, what makes you feel out of control and addressing those issues. I am from the south so I know ALL about comfort foods and unfortunately this is the third time I weight over 300 lbs. (302). I don't need a diet, I need to change my life style, need to not see food as rewards or comforts. I figured since you are close to my weight maybe you could see what my turning point was and it would help you or anyone else that reads it.

Also, I signed up for a 20 day challenge on the 20-somethings forums: no-excuses-hardtothecore-20-day-challenge (sorry, won't let me post links yet)

Personally, I always do better with a jump start to challenge my limits, but everyone is different.. It's just about figuring out what will work for you the rest of your life

Welcome and welcome back to you both. I am fairly new to the site as well. I have been working hard at staying on plan because that has always been my biggest downfall.

I am cutting calories and walking daily for my plan. I decided not to call it a DIET, for me it is a LIFESTYLE PLAN. I just have decided that it is time to do this. I have always given up after just a while and this time I am going to do this. I am walking my first 5K tomorrow night.

I know that you can find the support that you need on this site because there are so many on here and each are doing their own thing. Everyone I have met is so helpful and insightful. I wish each of you the best.

Welcome back Ktj862!

Great job on your weight loss! I don't know you are not a failure. I think you are a success for keeping that weight off and coming back here. Posting has helped to keep me focused and committed. I hope the same will be true for you.

That is right KTJ!!! You didnt put it on overnight so it's alright if it takes a little while to take it off.

Maybe if you started taking baby steps back toward your goal. I seem to have the eating part and exercise part down finally but I need to drink more water. I just want to get stronger and more fit every day. It also helps to come here when you can for motivation. I know I am inspired daily by the wonderful people here.

So hang in there and know that we are here cheering you on!
