This group is for those dealing with the challenges of being fit when you have a significant amount of weight to lose which becomes harder after age 40. If you're an old or new friend and not over 40 and feel this is the place to post, jump right in!
I had a lovely whoosh on the scale yesterday -- don't know how much of it will stay today, but it was still great to see a lower number. And yesterday both eating and exercise were great!!
But I can tell I'm feeling a lot of stress from both the upcoming move and a dog who's sick and in pain...
It's been a successful month for me. I am down 9.5 pounds for March. This month I am planning on trying to get some more exercise. Hopefully the weather will warm up some so I can enjoy getting out and walking.
Just a little under 5 pounds down for me in March. I'd like to pick up the pace, too, but I don't want to push myself into a place where I can't stay OP. I'd rather have slow success than no success.
My scale whoosh stayed, so I've finally officially lost the weight I gained since last fall. And I fit into a smaller pant size in my closet -- it's a large pant in that size, but I will take it.
Food yesterday wasn't POP, but the calories were fine, so that's a good thing. Have busy busy days so still no gym for me . Can't wait to post on the exercise thread!! Hopefully tomorrow!!!!
I hate this weather...I want sunshine and warmth. I want to dig in the dirt. I want to clean up my yard. I want to plant something, even if its just pansies. I refuse to plant in mud though.
Food yesterday was back on track and scales are moving back toward my low point. Im so hoping to be back down to my low by mid week.
Going to work on some spring cleaning today. I think I will follow flylady again for the months of april and may. It will keep me from going crazy during may and getting ready for the wedding.
OH! Here you are! I forgot we move to a new thread every month. Silly me.
March is behind me now. Wish I had lost some weight, but I did stay on track with exercise goals, and I stayed pretty faithful to my nutrition plan. Except that I plain old eat too much!
Did it again last night. I had a POP day, right up until dinner. Waited too long after cardio class to have dinner (had to run errands), got really hungry and went over on calories by 600. Have tried cutting calories earlier in the day, knowing that I tend to overeat in the evening, but I usually overeat by the amount I cut. Still trying to figure that out, because I am really hungry as well as edgy in the evenings and can't figure a way out of this yet.
I was hoping that exercising regularly in the evenings would help with dopamine levels, calming me enough to relax in the evenings and go to bed. But cardio class seems to have the opposite effect on me. I am having more problems with getting enough sleep. I do sleep better after Pilates and weight training.
At least I'm not gaining weight. It seem my current maintenance is around 2700 calories. I might try fasting once a week again. I seem to be able to handle that better than cutting calories consistently over the week.
What a long week for a short week. DH is transitioning jobs and is off this week. I am taking tomorrow off also. Glad today is back to the pool also. Have to stay ahead with my exercise goal for April.
