This group is for those dealing with the challenges of being fit when you have a significant amount of weight to lose which becomes harder after age 40. If you're an old or new friend and not over 40 and feel this is the place to post, jump right in!

It's October 1 - wow where did September go. I am lighter than a month ago but not as far down the road as I had "planned". I will figure out this exercise thing this month!

Stay strong!

Well, I'm glad September is over. It's one of my favorite months but food wise I was lost more days than I was OP. I'm rededicating myself to my WW program as we begin October.

I'm going to enjoy the beautiful colors, cooler weather, and the wonderful clean aromas of ripened fruits and fallen leaves during my favorite month of the year.

I did a trail walk up the moutain. Man I wasnt ready for that walk, 2.6miles. I do just fine walking on level and some hills but mountain walking isnt for me. I thought I was going to die!! I had to stop many times to catch my breath and let me ears stop popping.I did make it to the top and saw the beautiful waterfall. Coming down was easy! lol My calves are so sore. My knee is bothering me some but I think another day or so on level land and it should be fine. I will walk today! I will eat my allotted calories and drink extra water. SOOO glad to be home!!

not changing my ticker to my for one week to try and get this weight back off!!

WOW! Carol that's great!

Wish I could say the same. I was fine until I went to the grocery store then I blew it big time. So much for going to the store when I'm full.

Thanks Judy - it felt good to have a nice release this week. Now to keep it moving the same direction.

Yesterday was POP and I did get a short walk in - my October commitment is exercise EVERY day.

Stay strong!

Scales are down 2lbs today. I was hoping for more but I know it takes a few days to lose water weight. I will continue to drink extra water. I didnt walk yesterday due to sheer exhaustion and rain. I will walk some today.

Wow, Debbie, that was some walk!!

Judy, bananas aren't crunchy, but if it cured the craving then it's a hit!!

Too much going on at work. Yesterday... I barely remember. I know I didn't stray at work. There was barely time and I just ate what I brought. Evening was fine. And while we didn't go to the gym, hubby got me off my butt to take a walk. So, I guess I was on plan!!

It's only been 3 days on plan and I already feel so much better.

Have set myself the goal of walking 65 miles in October. As I try to walk my dogs every day I am giving myself a realistic goal. That said I have my first assignment due on the 15th October and hubby is now working 3 days a week (Thank the Lord) so I am going to have to be super duper organised!
The dogs and I got caught in a hailstorm this morning in a spot where there were very few trees. Jack Russell puppy was NOT happy! She then went and got stuck in a stream because she followed the retriever in and the bank was too steep and slippery to get out. I climbed over the fence and dragged her out by her collar..she was fine but the retriever had a bit of an anxiety attack and barked incessantly for the next 15 minutes!!!
My dogs are as loopy as the humans in this house!
