300+ Yule Love Exercise in December
Welcome!! to the December exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process! In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month! In 2010 the 300+ club broke our 2009 record and exercised for over 250,000 minutes. I don't know if we'll break that record, but I do know exercise is a great way to keep on plan. We invite you to join us! To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! Hey Heather - how does this work exactly? Like, we report in with our minutes every day/week or just at the end of the month?
I broke my pinky finger on Sunday so that limits me somewhat, but I did manage to walk to and from the doctor's office for a total of 40 minutes of slow-paced exercise today. But I still think that totally counts. :) |
Going for 2,000 minutes again this month.

Goal: 1500 minutes of ANY activity (going to include walking to and from places...vigourous housework, shovelling etc. I just need to get my head back in the game of being more active period.

Goal for December: 660 minutes of aerobics and/or walking, also counting occasional snow shoveling as weather requires. I almost always catch a virus in December or January, so we'll see how this goes!

Okay, I think I get it. My goal is 1500 minutes of total exercise (including walking to and from bus stops) this month. So far I'm at 30 minutes.

Yesterday Walking 15 minutes (low active day for me!)
Personal: 15/1500 Group Total= 105+30 (lunalores) = 135+15(mine)= 150 (hope its okay I added Luna's into the group total. ) |
Walking To and From work: (20 minutes)
Circuit Training (cardio/weight mixed intervals) 60 minutes total so far today 80 minuts Personal 15+80= 105 minutes of 1500 Group Total: 150+80=230 |
60 minutes hiking
Personal Total: 105 + 60 = 165 minutes Group Total: 230 + 60 = 290 minutes |
Friday Night: 30 minutes walking
20 minutes Dancing (jumping silly lol) total : 50 minutes Personal Total: 105+50=155 Group Total 290+50= 340 |
60 minutes water aerobics
Personal Total: 165 + 60 = 225 minutes Group Total: 340 + 60 = 400 minutes |
Yesterday:
20 minutes walking 30 minutes dancing 50 minutes Personal Goal: 155+50=205/1500 Group Total: 400+50=450 |
Saturday: 60 minutes
Sunday: 60 minutes Weekend total = 120 minutes (I didn't post either day here yet) December total so far = 150 min/1500 Group total = 450 + 120 = 570 |
