Smile You know you've lost weight when ...

I saw this thread over in the twenty somethings and I thought it was a wonderful idea ... post some of the little ways you know you've lost weight!

You know you've lost weight when:

..... you don't have to unbutton your pants to take them on and off
..... you have to look for a size at the store and not just at the biggest thing they have
.... you can sleep laying down!
.... your DH says you are shorter when laying on your side!


these are some of my favorites, how about you?

I know I've lost weight when:

...my pants don't make me feel like a stuffed sausage!
...I'm climbing the stairs to my apartment and my knees don't want to pop!
...I can up the intensity on my workout.

funny story: I was in a locker room changing for swimming once and another person (a thin person) was changing as well, I know its rude to stare, but I kept glancing over at her, trying to figure out how and why she was holding a blue washcloth between her legs as she dressed - after about 3 minutes I realized that what I was seeing was the blue locker behind her because the thighs of thin people don't touch! ... it's so funny that it took me that long to get it, I almost laughed out loud!

so I will know I have lost weight when there is a crack of light between my thighs!

for now though, I know I've lost weight because I spend time poking my stomach flap to see if it is squishier (and smaller) !

LOST!! LMAO, I love your story!! Fantastic.

I love that 50% of my pants come off without being unbuttoned or unzipped at all. I've had to buy new bras and underwear because they are all too big and I hate hate hate big underwear for sure. I actually trashed a bra the other day that was just obviously too large, and I was glad to see it go!

And BTW, can someone tell me how to adjust my numbers on my tracker? I got the thing loaded to my signature, but I need some help now.

Under User CP. Then Edit Signature. You'll notice the link for your ticker in the signature box. Near the end of the code you'll see three numbers separated by slashes. The first number is your starting weight. Second number is the goal weight. Third is your current weight and is the number you'll likely be changing most often. Simply edit the number as needed to your current weight.

I always lose weight in my face first...so my eyes look bigger when I lose weight. I dont gain alot of weight in my face to begin with.

When I can touch my toes without having my stomach cut off my circulation and breath.

Actually, when I can touch my toes period.

When I can get up the stairs without gasping for air at the top.

When I look in the mirror and see that my body vaguely now has the shape of a woman. (I also play with my stomach flap)

When I can button all jackets/blazers on old clothes that are two sizes smaller than I was wearing several months ago.

I know I've lost weight when:

Getting out of the car doesn't require leverage.
I can finish grocery shopping and my knees and lower back don't hurt at all!
I can tie my shoes anywhere at anytime!

And yes, I confess. I also poke and squeeze my belly fat trying to density test and find signs of shrinkage.
