CaliforniaSunshine, I lost a lot of weight a few years ago by calorie counting so it can definitely be done. A friend of mine swears that exercise never helped him a bit, only counting calories ever worked. It's definitely worth it to try. Good luck!

here it is Monday and I have called on two jobs. One said they will be going over applications on Wednesday so hopefully I get a call for a cashiers position at Walmart. I need to do something I am going plum out of my mind. I am doing pretty good with my eating no late night food cravings. So when I make my goals for december I am putting no eating after 9pm in as a goal. So far the right mindset has me doing well with this.

Sunshine, I've lost 35 kilos this year, and all I do is a walk with the dogs SOMETIMES, no formal excersice to speak of, so doesn't let that deter you!!!

Ps 35 kilos is about 78 pounds

Sunshine - Calorie counting will be your friend its all about eating less than your body burns.


Me trying not to get defeatest there is stuff going on with me thats hindering me from eating the way I need to do drop these last 15 or so lbs. (312 this am on the scale... argh..)

I need to suck it up and just do it!

I am new to the website and at 299.8 pounds I am in the 300 club.. Im excited to meet new people and meet my goal of 185.. How do i get one of the little goal scales on your post? I want one!

Christy they're called Tickers and they are something you can put in your signature I think you have to be here a certain amount of time before your allowed to add them. As well as have a certain number of posts :)

Well here I am not on such a positive level. AS of Wednesday I am up 7 lbs. So its back to counting calories and portion control matienance steadily. I am so disappointed in myself.

Lynn, :hug: I am so sorry you've had a set back, but please please please remember how far you've come. I am not doing very well myself, and I haven't lost anywhere near the amount of weight you have. It's so dang easy to let things slide back to how they were before we went on plan. We do face unique challenges when we are significantly overweight, one of them being, it takes a LONG dang time to reach our final goal.

You are one of the reasons I am here, posting, and trying to change my life. Do not feel like a failure. We will both succeed. We will. :)

I aint going to give up it just frustates me to no end that I allowed myself to gain 7 lbs back. I have been watching what I am eating and keep tracking track of it the last two days so maybe there will be a weight loss this weekend. Keep chugging away and thanks for the encouraging words.

So feeling sick, the 'good' part of that is I don't feel like eating in the least, I also have no real groceries in the house because I was suppose to shop yesterday and do not have the energy. EVERYTHING winds me, which is hilarious, because I'm pretty sure if I tell anyone else that they would think thats my normal state of being seeing my size. It is to some degree I can't do nearly as much as my thin counterparts but I do exercise on a regular basis so walking with a couple grocery bags shouldn't feel like such a workout.

I have a nice black leather jacket that no longer fits me. I put it on last night and decided it was the last time I could wear it. I'd love for someone here to enjoy it this season, and maybe pass it on to another sister next year. I am 5'6" and weighed 290 - 315 when it fit me right.

There is no charge for it...just send me actual shipping back after you get it would be nice.
