
We have a lot of new people here who want to change their lives, and also a lot of existing members who want to get moving a bit more...
For EVERYONE I'd ask you to think about contributing to our exercise thread! It started a number of years ago because I HATE exercise and was looking for a way to keep myself accountable. I decided to focus on a number of minutes to exercise each month (knowing that some weeks are better than others). Pretty soon several of us were keeping track of our minutes.
We set goals, and last year we 300+ people recorded over 250,000 minutes of exercise!!! Thats:
4166.7 hours OR
173.6 days OR
5.8 months of exercise!
So, I'm inviting everyone to join this year! It helps keep us all accountable, and it's fun!
And if you're just getting started there is no need to set a high goal. Start with just a couple hundred minutes. Moreover, you don't need to set a goal. Just work out, and then come here and post!!!
You can count any kind of exercise you like. I personally count the time I work out at the gym as well as other exercise that gets my heartrate up, so shovelling, raking, some cleaning or yardwork...
