This group is for those dealing with the challenges of being fit when you have a significant amount of weight to lose which becomes harder after age 40. If you're an old or new friend and not over 40 and feel this is the place to post, jump right in.

POP day and a trip to the gym - gonna get the scale moving even if it doesn't want to!

I am battling the end of the flu. Did go to the gym last nite for a lil over a hour but tonite and tomorrow nite i am resting...hopefully by thursday ill be all good and can get stuck back into the gym.

Has been quite interesting...before i got healthy...a few days stuck at home in front of the tv would sound like bliss....now it drives me nuts! LOL i never got how people wouldnt enjoy spending 3 or 4 days in bed in front of the tv...it makes sense to me now! LOL

Hope everyone is having a good week!

I had a good day yesterday and hope for the same today. Things are slowing down a little in the garden, which is okay actually... I am still overwhelmed by the tomatoes and have a lot of nice peppers...

Hubby seems to be improving now that he is off the new medicine. Hoping his glucose will stablize. Time to focus on me again.
Yesterday we spent the morning working in the garden and pulled up all of our tomato plants but one. I have green tomatoes out my ears. Looks like more relish making is in my plans for the weekend.
We also cut down a few bushes and boy is my back sore. I ended up sleeping on the couch because I just couldnt get comfortable in the bed. I also carried a 20lb baby to the playground instead of getting out the stroller. I didnt think it would be a big deal. No wonder even a 20lb weight loss makes you feel so much better!!

Yesterday went off the rails, food wise. Hubby went out of town, and I don't understand why, but I just don't handle that well... But today is another day, and I am going to try again.

Heather - you can do it!

I'm not sure what's going on - POP and scale going the wrong direction!

My back is much better but I took the night off from cooking and just ordered a hamburger from a local place. My scales jumped up 4lbs. I know its from the sodium but it still is not a pretty site.
Grocery shopping on saturday and restocking my house with healthy grilling foods. I also need to come up with a few crockpot meals for when grandkids are here for the night. I sure dont have time to cook with them here. LOL

Debbie -- That would be a spectacular burger if it made you gain 4 pounds of fat!

I had a MUCH better day yesterday! Yay!! Though part of my exercise was having to walk home to get my cell phone after my car broke down! Luckily, the breakdown was due to running out of gas (idiot light never came on)... and was only 1/2 mile from my house! VERY fortunate.

Had a good day yesterday. Got in a walk to the grocery store (about a mile each way) and ate decently. Now, let's do it again today!

BUSY weekend so far. I had my grandchildren on thursday night and didnt get online friday morning. I was busy getting snuggle time in. When they left on friday afternoon I started in on the tomatoes. I made 14 quarts of green tomato relish. Then slept in yesterday, grocery shopped and then started in on the ripe tomatoes. I made 8quarts and 11 pints of salsa. We have just one tomato plant left and hoping it will give us a few more tomatoes before frost. I feel good about all the work I put in to the salsa and relish.
Eating hasnt been great but not terrible either. Scales are up major but Im hoping they will start going down again.
I keep gaining and losing the same 10lbs over and over again.
