Sharing my NSV

  • I just wanted to take a moment to share my NSV with all of you. Yesterday the family and I went and canoed the buffalo river. It was a 8 mile stretch and we stopped to swim at the rope swing, I didn't climb up the tree and swing off the rope but I paddled the entire 8 miles and only flipped over 4 times.

Where my NSV comes in is that both yesterday and today, I'm not sore, nothing hurts, no muscle pain or soreness. In fact I feel pretty good. I am sunburn however but that's the extent of it!! I would have never thought this could have ever been possible 8 months ago. At one point the hubby and I were in such a paddling rhythm, the joke was we looking like we were rowing for Yale. No one could keep up with us.

All the exercise I do pays off. I feel younger now than I did 5 years ago.
And I fell in love with it, canoeing was so much fun!!
  • That is AWESOME!! Congratulations and how fun!!!

  • Oh Faith - I'm so proud for you!
  • That is so wonderful! That is really what this is all about, huh! Doing something SO fun that you never thought you could do, and doing it SO WELL!! I think I'm going to add canoeing to my 'bucket list' for when I get a little closer to goal. I bet by next summer I'll be tearing up that river just like you, sweetcakes! Thank you for the inspiration and for that AWESOME idea!
