Default 300+ Weekly Thread, #1275

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't.

We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time.

Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simultaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us!

Got hubby to the airport this morning. I sure do miss him already,

Hope everyone is fine

Had a stinky cold since Saturday, still feel rotten. I've not been OP or exercised, even walking upstairs makes me out of breath & my heart pound so I've just cooked & hung washing out even that made me sweat. I hope I feel better soon coz we are SUPPOSED to visit my parents Friday but if I'm not 100% we cab't go as I can't risk my Dad getting any germs. He's had loads more tests & stuff and he's still prone to infections, especially chest/colds so cross your fingers for me!
Cyn if you want to write you might consider a writing class, the tutor can help with proof-reading, how to 'put it together' and lots of other advice. My tutor is a published author & he is excellent, offering spelling/grammar adsvice, how to keep it interesting, how to get published etc... He has had a LOT of students get published, from children's books to horror stories in anthologies, give it a try! xxxxx
I have to go, Aiden is settling into the tablets but there's no real change as yet, he's on 10mg this week, 20 next final 30mg dose the week after. SORRY ABOUT THE MOAN THE OTHER DAY, I was feeling sorry for myself.

Greetings my Peeps,

It's so hot out!! I have 2 AC units going in 2 rooms, but most of the house is in the 90's.

Cyn, it will probably take a while for you to determine what your tummy tolerates vs the diet recommendations. I'm sure there's tweaking to be done.

Sharon, no need to apologize for venting! I'm sorry you have a cold. No matter what, it will probably last 7-10 days. There is much debate on whether you are contagious during the cold or for just the first days. I'd play it safe and not visit your parents if you are still feeling punky.

Not much going on. Having trouble sleeping in the heat. Boss kitty is head of the household now and a little talker. He's so sweet. I love the way he throws himself in my arms for a good long head scratch and rolls his eyes and stretches. All my clothes have gray and white fur all over them. LOL.

Been stuck at the same weight for 6 weeks, but I thought I saw the scale move after my camping weekend. Slow and steady.

Hugs,
Ratkity

Ratkitty are you posting any pics of new kitty (or did I miss it?) Sounds like he's a fussy guy, are you getting all your 'kneadings' in? lol! Thanks for advice on the cold, it's still laying me low so I'll see later on in the week when we go visit.

Hi everyon.

I'm still kicking lol. I had the procedure and it took about an hour and 1/2 but it is done. Stitches are doing well. Pretty sore but I think that is normal.

Joel's parents came for 3 days and it was very nervewracking! I'm glad that they went home early yesterday.

Worth: Welcome. Glad to have you here.

Rat: Glad you had a nice time camping. Sounds like fun.

Carol: I love Gypsy stories

Cyn: Hang in there sweets!

Sharon: Get better soon.

Does anyone know how Catherine is doing? I hope well.

Lindy if you happen to check in, I hope you are having an absolute blast!

Blessings all,
Annie

Hello, Ladies! Haven't been on in a while. Summer is hard since Hubby and the kiddos are home. Everyone fighting over two computers.

We just went on vacation. Chicago and St. Louis. Had an absolute blast!! Hard to plan what I'm eating when we are eating out a lot. Also hard to plan for a day's protein when you aren't sure where or when you are eating!! But, we had fun.

Hope to be more active on here, again!!

Basketcase: I LOVE your new pic!!!!!

Jacquie: Miss you girl!!

Risen: what are you going to school for?

As for me: Missing Hubby ALOT today. I mean alot!! He calls every night and every morning and I so miss touching him He will be home monday night.

Today the stomach did ok. I have such BAD GERD! My dad said that he could only take nexium. I wonder if I should try that. I dunno! GOing to my friends sisters on Sunday about the herbalife. I have prayed and prayed at what is the best choice for me. So far that seems to be where I am headed.

The GI Dr called in the Reglan for me after I said i didnt want it. The Lady I talked to said she didnt have anything for me to take for the pain. BUT i swear she said that!!! I am still taking the digestive enzymes.

Tonight I am going through 2 big ole bags of clothes my aunts friend gave me. She has lost alot of weight and I think I can fit in some of them!

Hiya My Peeps!

Just a drive-by:

Sharon, I'll get boss kitty pictures up soon! I haven't yet. He's such a sweetie.

Risen, hello!

Hugs to Jacquie and basket and Annie!

Cyn, it takes time. Phenergan works better than Reglan. Zofran is best.

Hugs,
Ratkity

Cyn - glad hubby will be back Monday. I would go crazy if my dh had to travel. Without me, anyway!

I hit a milestone!!! My scale starts with the number 2!!! That hasn't happened in over 10 years!!!

I start socialpadagogy School tomorrow on friday the 13th..who gets such an idea to start school on a friday the 13th...seriously!

Im still mad cuz I seem to not lose weight the last week and this week looks the same on the scale but I feel so much better and fitter..people keep saying its muscle building but others say muscle dont weigh more than fat, so I dunno if I should change diets now (atm Im on low-carb) or just stick to it and wiat till the body gets back on what it should be doin...

Thats so amazing basketcase!

Enjoy your day everyone

Risen, HI!!! I'm on low carb & I don't lose for WEEKS, BUT I do LOSE INCHES! I'm on a meal-replacement diet with small evening meal, 3 snacks & 2 shakes. My sis, who's VERY slim lost loads eating cheese rolls, crisps (chips) & vodka! She's about 130 but was 146lbs. Go figure! I exercise x4 a week for 30-60 minutes, weights, aerobics & Swiss/balance ball. BTW are you German or just living there coz your spelling/grammar are excellent! xxxxxx
I have to go, it seems it's flu not a cold, I'm SO ill, just researching about how long I'm infectious, as I can't risk giving my Dad any germs after his x4 bypass.
xxxxxx sharon
