CYN - the Scrapbook is adorable.
I had never seen the photos page and I found it looking for your album - WOW - the before and after photos are a real inspiration! Lindy http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/tulip-...7/147/440/.png |
Oops, I finally figured out how to put that cute little tracker on my page and I think I did it twice!

Dinkachu - I've been having the same knee troubles and am afraid I'll get the same outcome so there's no point in even going to see my DR about it. :p I think I'll just buy some knee braces lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!! ;) |
Howdy y'all! I just had a delicious fajita for lunch, and I had a thought (rare, but they do happen!) about portions and how my perspective has changed. Used to be I'd have two moderately sized fajitas and whatever sides were on hand and call that a meal. Now I realise that having that second tortilla alone adds nearly 200 calories, plus extra cheese on top of that... not good. So now I pack a bunch of stuff into the ONE shell, and it starts to look a little overstuffed, but it's stuffed with veggies and beans and I'm at least as satsfied as I was before, but I cut 200+ calories... and I don't care if it looks like I'm eating a ridiculously large fajita, that's my whole lunch and it's delicious and lasts me through the whooooole afternoon. Anyway... just a thought. I've been eating a lot of mexican food lately because it feels like a hot weather food to me... and it used to be the kind of meal I'd think was bad choice, but now I know if I make everything myself, eliminate the added salt, and change my way of portioning, it's a GREAT choice! I love food when I can enjoy it and not worry about it.
Tex - Welcome welcome! Shadow - That salad sounds le yum! I may have to try it. I looove raisins in tuna or chicken or turkey salad... great texture and sweetness! Rat - love the idea of tasing the stupid hobo in my lobby! Lindy - How frustrating. I would have thought that a hospital would be well equipped with a portable scanner of some sort. Hope your knee heals quickly, though, because you're doing so well! Cyn - Great pics! That's all I'm thinking about for now :) Hope you're all having a wonderful day! |
Lol, I just did the best thing... I decided I needed to thin out my Facebook friends, so I started deleting... and deleting... and I decided I'd set a goal of 295, the same as my current weight! I keep meaning to weed out people who aren't really my friends and it's appropriate to lose clutter on Facebook as I lose clutter on my body! Best thing is I doubt anyone would catch on.

Neon!!!!!! I only have about 30 friends on FB & some of those are friends of friends, most from on here or family. I'm too picky, lol or am I just anti-social? You could add me but if you're getting numbers down probably not a good idea, lol!xxxxxxxx
I had weigh-in yesterday, NO LOSS!!!! GRRRRR all that exercise AND staying OP, thank goodness I measure every week (low carb can be irritating but inches can drop quick when scales don't) lost 1/2" off both hips, waist & upper arms & 1" off my thighs in ONE WEEK so quite happy. My normally tight jeans (just been washed too) pulled up & fastened EASY!!! AND later on got loose!!!! Felt slim, lol!!!! I'm sure you all know what I mean, as if someone @ 270+lbs could BE slim, lol! Gotta go & mow the lawn (keeping busy over the weekend even though I don't exercise as such) hugsxxxx Oh BTW Annie had a car accident, she's ok but bruised & shaken so if you pray add one for her & her hubby please (He was way shaken up even though he wasn't there).xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxsharon |
Hey Everyone :)
You know how when you wash and dry your jeans then go to put them on, they are snug and then when you go to sit down, you can't even breathe? LOL That didn't happen to me today!!! I was shocked. I've only been going at this since Monday and already I feel a difference. I put them on just fine and when I got in the car I could breathe and I didn't feel as fat sitting there. LOL That definitely cheered me up! :D |
VooDoo - I hadn't read your post yet until after I posted mine. lol

Lol Neon, isn't it GREAT!!!!!

Sending prayers for Annie! I am glad she is ok!!
I had an interesting conversation with a friend of mine that I have not seen in about 2 years. We text and talk on the phone but can't seem to get together. She is a nurse and has coo coo hours! I was telling her about my tummy problems. She said she has somewhat same thing going on. She is not nautious though. She had her galbladder out about 14 years ago. Now i have know her for 9 years I NEVER knew she had these problems. She said she has more good days then not, but she is trying a new GI Dr. She has problems with Diarhea and stomach cramps. My friend DOES everything. Water rafting..going to disneyland..you name it she does it. I NEVER knew she has these issues. So my question to her was..why is EVERYONE knows about mine..and it makes me hate life..and not want to do crap..and she does everything. She said Cyn...you have to still live. Although she is right..I don't know how to do this. Constantly on my mind is my tummy. There are times through out the day where for a brief moment I forget about my tummy and I actually have no pain..and as quick as it goes..it comes back. Sorry..I know everyone has issues here..guess that is why I think it is ok to rant and pout and cry a little. ;0) |

Hello My Peeps!
I'm back from my trial run with the dynamic duo (my golden retrievers) at the KOA park. I met some nice people and we talked a lot. I finished 2 books and ate healthy. The dogs were good and bad LOL. The boy dog was a great sleeper. Liked to cuddle. His only problem was wanting to run and body slam everyone who walked by to get petted (he couldn't, he was tied up). He w00fed at doggies he could see, but would stop when I told him it was ok. Buffy, the girl dog, was a PITA! LOL. She got more and more upset each time I'd leave without her to go to the bathroom. I think she was in a state of anxiety most of the time because she panted constantly, even when the temps were low. I need to figure out how to make her more comfy cuz she gets the boy dog all wound up too. I used my pop up shelter for the first time. It wasn't too hard for a single person to set up if one leg is staked down to start with. It was hot hot hot! I did slip out and go swimming in the pool which was fun. It was nice and I wasn't self conscious because many of the other swimmers were big and beautiful too. I'm glad to be back, but didn't like it when the power in the house went off for 2 hours near noon! ack! Glad it's back on now. I have a bizillion loads of laundry to do LOL. Hugs, Ratkity |
Rat – Thanks for some suggestions. Unfortunately, I don’t really like any of those things you listed! I’ll have access to a refrigerator. And, I bought almonds, pistachios, Craisins, and dried blueberries to make a trail mix for myself. I’ll probably just pack a few baggies of turkey and chicken to snack on.
Neon – I’m so sorry you hate where you live. At least you do have some positives. I’m not crazy about Ohio, but I have accepted that we will always live here. Great choices on the fajita!! Protein will keep you full longer than carbs. Load up on the meat and beans! Cyn – how frustrating. But at least you get to see them! Congrats to your brother! Can’t imagine being in the heat you are in. Everyone around here complains about 90ish with lots of humidity. At least yours is dry heat, right? Hah!!! Glad your aunt like her gift. I looked up the video about the paper roll album. Very cool! Million – Congrats on your continued success! Texas – Welcome! Glad to have you! This is a great place for support! Shadow – The salad sounds great! I love chicken salad with almonds and grapes. May have to try the curry idea! Grumpy – Good luck with the landlord. Sounds bad! Oh, Lindy – How sad. Do none of those locations have an open MRI? The open MRI doesn’t enclose you the way a normal MRI does. Call back and ask the doctor to find one for you. Good luck!!! Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation. Annie – prayers and hugs are with you!! Sharon – thanks for letting us know! And congrats on feeling slim!! Rat – Glad it went well and that swimming wasn’t a problem! Good luck figuring out the dogs!!! I’ve been having a rough time eating right. Our summer schedule is not much of a schedule. Very loose. And lots of hanging out. I’m finding that I’m snacking. Just like the old days. Not good!!! I’ve been stuck at the same weight for a week. I need to really refocus on things. It's so easy to just take the easy way out. But that's what got me there to begin with. Anyway. Happy Sunday evening! |
