    to the June exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

    In 2009 the 300+ club broke our 2007 record and exercised for 216,854 minutes. I believe in 2010 we can break that record!! But it's going to take a lot of work from a lot of people to get it done! Please join us!

    To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes.

    Here are the running totals to date:

    24,105 January (a new MONTHLY record!!!)
    24,081 February (nearly a record, and 3 fewer days in the month! So, a daily average record)
    25,031 March (another new monthly record!!!!)
    27,221 for April
    17,810 for May
    118,248 min so far --- OVER HALF WAY TO OUR GOAL ALREADY!!
  • I won't make my May goal of 1000, but I'm committing to 1200 minutes in June!
  • I'm setting my goal at 1800 minutes for June. P90x here we go!!!
  • This will be my third month going for 450. This month I WILL do it!
  • I am new here but I am setting my June goal (and very 1st goal on this board!)to 900 minutes. I will get my 30 min a day minimum but I hope to blow that number out of the water! Here we go!!!!
  • Ok, May didn't quite turn out like I wanted, but June is a whole new month. I'm in for 3000.
  • I blew away my May goal being 462 minutes past my goal of 1050, but since my major source of exercise being outside in my pool and the rainy/hurricane season starting on June first I will increase it with caution.
    I'm setting my goal at 1250 minutes for the month.
  • 60 min walking this morning. 840 to go!

    Group Total~ 0 + 60= 60min
  • 45mins P90x Cardio, 15 mins quick walking up the stairs at work.
    Group Total~ 60+60=120MIN
  • 45 minutes in the pool

    Personal Goal: 45/1250

    Group Total: 45 + 120 = 165
  • 30 minutes walking outdoors.

    Group Total 165+30=195
  • 45 minutes WATP this morning.

    Group Total 195+45=240
  • 30 min walking outside this morning

    Personal Goal: 90/900

    Group Total: 240+30=270
  • 30 minutes elliptical
    15 minutes resistance band
    45 minutes total

    Personal Total: 45 minutes

    Group Total: 270 + 45 = 315
  • P90x shoulders and Arms 60 Min
    P90x Ab ripper x 15 Min
    75 Min total

    Group Total: 315+75 = 390
