Paradise Honey if you loose those 100 lbs that is going to make you 181 and thin just think of it that way, meaning you will only have 32, according to your tracker , more lbs to go , a lot of average women are between 30-40 lbs heavier. So don't give up you are doing great work. Look how far you have come.
I totally agree with so many points that have been made!!! And, some of it is exactly why I chose to have surgery. I am in for the long haul. I laugh because I was very excited the other day when i realized that I no longer need to lose an obese person!!! I just have to lose an overweight person!!! (according to the BMI index charts for my height)
Our society is so whacked on their view of people and what is "normal." People do carry their weight very differently. I started this journey at 395 and had been over 400 a couple of times. I started blogging and posted my weight. My friends were amazed. They didn't come right out and say it, but they never would have pegged me at 400 pounds. One friend did say she had no idea how much I was working to lose.
I was 180 in high school and thought I was fat. Now, that's my goal weight!!!
Basket, that was my weight in H.S. too and now my goal!! LOL.
Hugs,
Ratkity
One thing to remember, everyone holds their weight differently. When I was 500+, no one really believed me because I carried it differently. Even now, when I say I weigh 300, they're like "NO WAY!" because I carry it differently. No one believes that a 300 pound woman can wear the sizes I do, so its hard to explain. I know at least some of my weight is extra skin from being so big before. And I take that into consideration. One other tip is don't weigh yourself every day lol I did that and discouraged myself.
Oh, and also, set yourself a size goal and not so much a weight one. That's what I did. I want to fit into a 14 comfortably or smaller. But, I know I will never be 'skinny' because of my bone structure. I'd look sick and I don't want that. I don't mind being 'plus sized'. A 14 is a good goal for someone my height and build. And it's healthy.
Heck, even at 300, I'm healthier than I was a couple years ago. I just walked 10 miles and didnt keel over lol so don't get discouraged, just take it a step at a time and you'll make it through it! And we're all here to support each other, which I love about this place.
