Default Shin Splints

Just wondering...does anyone have any good ideas on what to do about shin splints?? They only occur when I am running my intervals...I know the obvious solution would be, don't run...but that just ....sucks.... so, anyone got any good ideas. I have good new shoes and I drink a ton of water. Any ideas would be fantastic...thanks!!

Definitely stretch stretch stretch, and good shoes have also helped diminish mine. Good luck!

I actually had a podiatrist check my gait and how my footstep falls on the floor before I got new shoes. I definitely have a supination problem that was showing up as shin splints when I was walking fast. I had to get orthotics and the right shoes, which made all the difference.
