300+ Weekly Thread #1249
WELCOME We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs. We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't. We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time. Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out. We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us. |
Hello!
I am so looking forward to being out of the 300's. I am 20 pounds away! I have started seeing a nutritionist at school (an actual nutritionist, RD with a master's degree) and she advised me against zig zaging calories. She said that consistency is best, that fueling your body regularly is healthiest and the best thing for creating an efficiently burning machine (thus, weight loss). So, that's what I'm gonna try and see how it works! |
Passionista,
I'm interested in hearing your results. I do zigzag my calories by quite a bit. My high days are sometimes more than double my low days. My understanding was that would keep your metabolism from adjusting to the lower caloric intake allowing it to stay high and you could burn more calories. Did the RD say anything about how to avoid starvation mode? I'd be concerned about plateauing as well. Now I admit I only know what I've read online and may be misinformed. -dNathan |
dnathan, your stats are admirable! You've done so well losing and I admire that!!!
I was really interested to hear what she had to say and was even more interested after she said it! Here's why: after reading my food logs and taking my weight, she told me I was eating too few calories and that I needed to look at more exercise and upping my caloric intake, specifically to bust through a plateau. People like us who are tall and heavy need to make sure we're getting enough calories. She was the FIRST medical professional who did not espouse the "1,200 a day, regardless of who you are, your activity level or current weight" way of life and I am so grateful for that! I am lucky enough to be seeing her as often as every week (YES!!! :carrot: ) and I will post what she shares with me along the way. Due to scheduling conflicts, I won't see her until the 17th. I am logging my food and will give her everything. She says she wants to be my "cheerleader" and I feel so blessed to have this support; it's like an answered prayer as I can't afford WW at this time and wanted the support and accountability of a weekly weigh in etc. Looks like I got it, only better, a 1 on 1 with an RD!!! So, she says that to help my metabolism work properly, I need to give it the same amount of fuel for a consistent period of time, to keep it burning on course. We'll see how it goes! |
Passionista,
Great work in finding someone so helpful. Those cheerleaders are just so important. At some point here if I begin to plateau I'll go see a nutritionist and get checked out. I think for me eating the same number of calories every day would be very problematic. I like to go out with friends on weekend nights and that usually involves some adult beverages, which naturally drives up that day's caloric intake. Not doing that any more is just not something that I would look forward to. But, if it's what's needed down the road for my weight loss to continue, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and deal with it. But I'm hoping not ;) |
I like "adult beverages" too! ;) I plan them into my day and it works out (so far). That's what I love about calorie counting!

Good Morning all,
Kayley: Life does tend to get our attention. lol Sharon: Woo hoo for your new computer. I'm glad that you were able to relax. Happy Birthday. I'm sorry that I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday before it was your day! Hugs. Cyn: Congrats to your son's job. Sasil: Great news on the good weigh in. Keep up the great work. Peggy: Hi there! Rat: I am so happy to hear that you are doing well. The only vitamin that I seem to be low on at every blood test is Vitamin D3. Last time I was just on the verge. It is my fault as I stopped taking it not thinking it was very important. Duh. Wrong and my bad. Just follow your nut's advice and you will do wonderfully well. I'm so happy for you. Stay warm and safe with all that snow. I think you are getting our snow from last year. Cheeky: Welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Val: Oh honey, I am so sorry about Bill and even sorrier about the possibility of loosing Gabe. I will be praying for you to have strength. Hugs and more hugs. Kristi: I want to check out the arm band thingy. I think they are pretty cool on the Biggest Looser. Catherine: Glad that your computer is fixed. Sorry it was so much. That stinks. Debi: Hi there friend. Passionista: Woo hoo to only having 20 more to get out of the 300's. Fantastic. The past few months have really honestly sucked for me with health problems. I woke up this morning making a decision to do my best to live my life like I was before the health problems started as best as I can. I have been letting life get me down and I am tired of it. I am such a positive person and I have stayed away from here for so long for fear of bumming people out but I want to be back and focus again on health. I had my gastro scope on Friday and I have no ulcers. That is excellent news as a bleeding ulcer would be bad for me because I am on so much plavix and aspirin for my heart. So, I think the next step is to check for gall bladder issues. If it is bad I want to get off these blood thinners and get the darn thing taken out and back on the blood thinners. In all this I have decided to move forward with my weight lifting and cardio and hopefully I will start to lose weight again and feel better. I love to exercise and I have missed it dearly. Hope you are all staying warm and safe. Many blessings, Annie |
Annie, I have missed you! I have been gone for a while but am back now too. Take care of yourself.
|
I'm at work so I don't have a lot of time post, but wanted to say I am so thrilled to say I am finally out of the 300's.:carrot: I weighed in this morning to 299.5 and I am so excited. :woohoo: This was my second mini-goal met. Now I just have to keep things moving along.
Here's to a great week! |
Annie-Hang in there. Have you ever read Dean Ornish's book on his heart reversal diet? Not for the diet so much, but I loved the part where he took on a group of people deemed to be too sick to have bypass surgery, so he could experiment. They ended up with better prognoses than the group that had the surgery. I think there are lots of things that doctors don't understand, or they do, but take the easiest path. If it is gallbladder, you can sometimes make it feel better if you eat artichokes and beets. They help balance bile in the body.
I've gotten the house cleaned up from the party, and all the leftovers have been weighed and portioned into ziplocks, and into the freezer. I'm so not interested in eating it anyway. I've got a paper due tomorrow, so I'd better get after it. |
Hello my Peeps!
Nathan and Passion, cool info about the zigzag calories. The people I've talked to who are on a stall say doing one day of a drastic up in calories rattles the body and restarts weight loss. This might be more antedotal, however. Annie, glad to see you! D3 is a pita to get back up once it goes low. There's a great source of dry D3 (vitalady.com) that will get you up to normal rates in about 6 months. I was reading about VitD and it has a tremendous affect on depression and stress (reducing both). It shouldn't interfere with your other meds either, but always verify. The doses are for WLS folks, not normies. Hugs to you for doing the next "right" thing in front of you. Cool that the party is over and stuff cleaned up, Catherine. I can't study when things are in chaos around me. Nice to see you Toni! I'm doing very well. Mom, Dad and I did our first grocery store shopping by going to the local co-op. They have the best refill water machine in the area and I have 3 gallon jugs to fill. Right now I can't lift them, so I needed my parents' help with getting them out of the car to the house. The roads here are bumpy.. half clear pavement and half 6-8" of solid ice! I drove my little 4x4 Rav4 and it did fabulous. The bumping made me a bit sore, but I did great on the trip. Tired when I got home, but happy to have gotten out of the house since leaving the hospital and being inside since the Blizzard of 2010. Of course, they are predicting more snow. ugh. 10 more inches?!? geesh. My 77 yr old dad did the shoveling in 15 min intervals. He is a godsend, ya know (lub my daddy). Mom has been doing laundry and asking WLS surgery questions. She's been very supportive. Mom and I did Wii bowling and table tennis last night. I stayed seated and she was standing up sweating. It was ticking off BikerMa cuz I kept beating her hehehehe. Good time was had by all and she is yelling for a rematch. Hugs to all! Ratkity |
Toni: So good to see you. Whenever I look at my journal/weight loss scrap book and see our photo I think to myself, Gosh it would be good to see her again. Way to go on the weight loss!
Kristi: Woo hoo for getting out of the 300's Catherine: Thanks for the info on the book and artichokes and beets. Good to know. Good luck on the paper, (like you'd need it). Rat: So glad that your folks are there with you and you are enjoying their company. After my heart attack my folks came here to help out and stuff and my Dad did lots of little chores for me.It was so sweet. Glad that you are feeling good too. I lifted weights today with my newphew Chris who is living with us right now. We also went for a 1 mile walk with the doggies.Puppy (Moose) did great but old gal Pepper got so tired. Poor baby. I think it was just too far for her when it is this cold. I need to remember that. Puppy is tuckered too. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening, Blessings, Annie |
Okay, I got back on the horse today. I was cranky, and at times actually shaky. You'd think I was coming off heroin. I got 1800 calories in today with only 20 grams of fat. That's probably less than half what I was eating the last week, and maybe a tenth as much fat. I spent half the day in the bathroom. Better today than tomorrow in the middle of class.
We went to the fabric store today to get some fabric so I can make us matching bowling shirts. When it comes to learning a new sport, or a new musical instrument, it helps to have decent equipment. If we look cool, and feel cool, it will make us want to go even when we truly suck at it. Eventually we hope to get better, and will want to go because we enjoy it. Now all we have to do is get less busy. |
Good Morning all,
For everyone getting that record breaking snow, hang in there. We got it last year and it was starting to feel like it would never end. Hugs and stay warm. Catherine: When you finish your matching bowling shirts you have to get a photo taken so we can see. I just love your sewing tales and I imagine how wonderful you are at it. Good job getting back on the wagon. It is so hard after you have been off it for a while. I am very happy with my exercise yesterday. I feel like I used my muscles for the first time in months! My tummy is super upset this am. I am thinking of trying to do only protein shakes today along with my carafate to see if that helps the tummy out. Everyone have a blessed day Annie |
morning all..
well after 2 days of diarrea..I am hoping it has passed. I go to the GI dr tomorrow. My hubby thinks this is all the sideeffects of having my galbladder taken out. Maybe it is. Either way it just sucks. I talked to my cousin who had hers out a month after em and she is going through the same thing. Her Dr told her that is part of life afterwards. He also said that it will get better over time. How much time though? Years??? I am so thankful I have co-workers that understand when I leave my desk 5 times a day I am not just jacking off. The "fungal" on my arms seem to be getting better BUT I am still getting new ones. :( Could this really be from eating yeast??? I hope I get some answers tomorrow with the GI dr..but I am not expecting alot. A year ago...I remember thinking if I loose weight that will solve all my problems. NOT TRUE. There will always be something I think :( Catherine: PLEASE post pics of your sewing!! Annie: Glad you are able to exercise some. Rat: I am so glad you are doing good! :) Organized: OMG! WHOOHOOHOO!! Isnt being out of the 300's great!!! |
Good morning ladies,
I am doing ok just wanted to come on here and let everyone know that i lost 3.4 lbs this week and I am soo happy to finally be in the 270's and I cant wait only 5 more lbs and i will be at 60 lbs lost. I did get some bad news on saturday i went back to the doctor to have my blood pressure checked and it is still high so they put me on some medication and I have to go back in two weeks to see if the medicine is helping and they will adjust it then if it needs to be but the doctor told me as far as diet and exercise that I am doing well and to keep going with that cause there is a good chance that after i lose all my weight that my blood pressure will go back to normal and I can be taken off the medication. Well, that is about all from here we are expecting 6-10 inches of snow today and tomorrow so my exercise will be shoveling...ughhhh talk to you ladies next week Heather |

The DC area is predicted to have 15 more inches of snow on top of the 30 inches we got last Friday and Sat. Oh joy. 'Rents and I went out to the regular grocery store and it was chaos! People were acting all panicky and buying everything. I was lucky to get a carton of eggs! Of course, I forgot kitty treats. I'm on pureed foods today. I found some no preservative guacomole and will be making deviled eggs later. heatherb, don't worry about the meds for BP. It's best to prevent the damage high bp can do and then work on lowering it other ways while the meds do their job. Annie, yay for sore muscles and exercise! Sorry your tummy is a wee upset. I've found the one protein drink I can tolerate is Champion Stacked banana scream (very light nanner taste) and then combine with unsweetened almond milk (regular or choc). Catherine, sorry the detox was awful. Yes, the home-pot advantage is always nice when intestines rebel. Cyn, hope you feel better soon. Hugs to all! I lubs you, Ratkity |
Cyn-after I had my gallbladder taken out, I had trouble for two years. It was so regular in the morning, that I had one of my college professors wonder if it was morning sickness. I went through a bunch of immodium back when it was prescription only. I eventually learned which foods caused trouble. I also found it got worse when I was nervous, upset, or too hot, for some weird reason. I actually found something cold to the back of my neck and hyperventilating slightly made the cramping pass without having to run to the bathroom.
|
Catherine: 2 years! UGH!!! I feel like it is punishment for eating so unhealthy for so many years..and it really sucks. Usually if I take an Immodium it will stop. BUT on Sunday it didnt and that scared me. I go to GI dr today...we wills ee what he says.

I have been up since about 4:30 am and was going to stay in bed...it's raining and I'm crampy and my left leg hurts so bad (muscle and nerve pain). I am really glad that I made myself get up, and out to the gym! I couldn't find my lock for the locker and so I ALMOST said "Screw it!" but decided to grab my suit and go to an aqua sculpt class and I am SO GLAD I did!
My body feels much better. My leg still hurts but everything else feels better. I'm gonna try and go 5 days a week. If I make at least 3 I will be happy with myself! Okay, I think I didn't miss anyone and if I did, I am SORRY!!! Originally Posted by dogpal: Originally Posted by ToniLight: Originally Posted by OrganizedChaos: Originally Posted by CatherineM: Originally Posted by Ratkitten: Originally Posted by CatherineM: Originally Posted by hbieber2006: Originally Posted by azcyn: |

It was prior to having children so I did not have anything to compare the pain too, but now that I have had 3 kids all via c-section I can say the pain is right up there with childbirth. Once I had an "attack" I would be out of commision for 24-36 hours. The biggest food that gives me issues are green leafy vegtables, so salads have been tricky. Iceberg lettuce is the worst and I won't use it in my salads. I also have to eat them in moderation which is hard on a diet. It does get better with time though.

Thanks for the advice yall!!
I went to the GI dr today. Atleast he spoke to me not like the otther one. He is checking me for Celiac Disease. He said that some of the problems could be from the gallbladder gone..BUT since it started before that it could be IBS. He also put me on an antibiotic for 21 days. He said that that helps alot if you have IBS. He also told me to start the probiotics. Like acidulphalis. Sorry I know I spelled it wrong. He said that the "things" on my arm are a fungus but he doesnt think they are from yeast. He also said for me to journal everything I eat. Make a follow up in a month. I started to cry a little in the office. He said if I dont have the Celiac, that is is going with IBS. He was able to pull all my testing up from everytime I was in ER. He said there is no reason to retest for what they had done. He looked at me when I began to tear up. I said to him..I know sometimes Dr's dont have all the answers, but I am really hoping he can help. He said he wants me exercising everyday. Even if it is a 10 min stroll around the block. I have no excuse except being lazy. He seems to think the probiotics will really help. Which my regular Dr said they would. I told him..I dont even enjoy food anymore. That is the truth! Eating to me is just a hastle..but something we have to do. My Grandpa told me when I was a teenager..one day..you will eat to live..not live to eat..I am almost at that point! I FORGOT to add that I lost weight again. I asked if it could be from the diarrea..he said maybe. BUT if I am eating even a little different then before I can loose. It is weird loosing weight! I have lived with it so long. |
Good Morning all,
Heather: Congrats on the -3.4! I am so happy for you. I agree with your Doc. Once you get your weight down to a healthier number I bet you will be able to get off the meds. Cyn: I am glad that you seem to have found a Dr. that is paying attention to what you are telling him. I hope you have the answers soon. Hugs. Organized: How are you doing on your new "thinking" I have been doing pretty well with it. I have exercised daily since I made up my mind to be as healthy as possible. Rat: I hope that your new diet goes down well! Hugs and stay warm. Passionista: Woo hoo. I am so happy for you making yourself go to the pool. Way to go. Cath: Hi there. Okay guys all this gall bladder talk is making me a bit nervous. My Dr thinks that may very well be the problem with me. He said that often times when you lose a lot of weight your gall bladder starts giving you trouble. I hope that my diet of lean, lean and not much fats will help me to not have problems with it if it does have to come out. I got my tests scheduled for next week. On Monday I have the ultrasound and on Thursday (next week) I have the one where they put dye into you and watch how your gall bladder reacts. It is just about 7 a.m. and I have already scrubbed our bathroom and dusted our bedroom, changed the sheets on our bed and the doggies beds and done 2 loads of laundry! I am so happy to have the biggest chores done. My nephew is still in bed and the doggies are both asleep so I am going to clean the hall bathroom and dust the rest of the house so when everyone wakes up I will only have to vacuum and mop! Well, continue to do laundry too. lol. Blessings all and have a safe, warm and wonderful day, Annie |
G'morning peeps!
The sun is shining again in the DC area.. shining down on all 45+ inches of snow we got this week! ack. Do you know DC and Philly got more snow this week than some Colorado ski slopes have on the ground currently? I know they are jealous.. hehe. I can't help my 78 yr old dad shovel and he has a bad back. He hired 3 peeps driving around in their car looking for work. Yay Dad! He's working on the back steps for the dogs and a path to the generator incase we lose power. I'm not worried about power loss now. Dad got the cars cleaned off and started Mom's van. They are planning to go home tomorrow. They have been so helpful. I'm glad they came! I am wanting my house back though lol. I live in an 850 sq ft house with one potty. I think us 3 adults are doing pretty good synchronizing potty and shower use. Cyn, I hope they find the cause of all your troubles. Because the surgery I had does increase the chance of the runs, there are 2 major recommendations for plugging up. One is the probiotic called Primal Defense Ultra. It's found in the refrigerated section of health food stores. This is the most awesome probiotic out there. Keep it in the frig. The other thing at the health food store is chia seeds. Yes, same seeds that makes chia pets.. hehe. They are full of soluble fiber! Great great stuff. You can put a tsp in water and it forms a tasteless gel to put in yogurt, or sprinkle on crunchy cereals. No taste. promise! Cyn, we can team up and do our 10 min of exercise together, ok? Annie, indeed, your low fat diet may have borked your gall bladder. I'm on ursodiol to keep the cholesterol in my gall bladder stirred up so it doesn't make stones. I'm on this for 6 months. I've never had troubles, but my sisters all have and they aren't even overweight. Keeping prayers up for you. It's not like you to be feeling so blah. Too many things hitting you at once. *hugs* Hugs to all! Ratkity |

That's when I lost my gallbladder, when I became a vegetarian in college. I went from the typical Okie all bacon grease diet to almost a vegan overnight. It confused my body horribly. I couldn't even breathe when I had an attack. It felt like I had been stabbed clear through with a lance. It took them forever to figure out what I had. I was finally diagnosed by an old army nurse who volunteered at our college's infirmary. When she heard my description of the pain, she said, "that's your gallbladder deary. I'll go tell wonderboy what's wrong with you." She called all the young doctors wonderboy or sonny boy. I guess she trained in a time before cat scans and dye tests when people had to take the time to listen to your symptoms first.

My gallbladder came out in 03. I still have rounds of trouble from losing mine.I had so many test done after h aving it removed.I was still in so much pain. After finding nothing wrong they diagnosed me with IBS. I took librex for a few years daily. I now take it as needed. I know soft drinks( diet) are a trigger food for me.I also cant go out and eat fried fish or anything like that.I end up in the bathroom. I have also found taking fiberchoice tablets really help me.

Evening all..
I TRULEY love yall!! Not just cause yall have had gallbladder problems..LOL..but because I know everyone here truley listens! I went to the store last night and bought Jillian Michaels new book. It has been on hold so long at the library. I started reading it today..its very interesting! Hubby and I started walking tonight. I got home from work..and there he was sitting on the couch ready to go. I love his support! I had a little chat with the religious guys that come by here and talk to my son. It is the same religion that his EX is. They didnt know that was going on with his EX. They told me to pray..I told them I do. I think I threw them for a loop when I went outside and laid a big old load on them. Poor 19 year old kids listening to a middle aged women cry her eyes out! They say they will come back..we shall see. I started the probiotics (Rat will check on the one you said also) I really hope they help. LAST: I really hope we all start seeing improvments in our health!! WE ALL DESERVE THAT! |
Hi all,
I really think it is my Gall bladder too. I was on ursodial for a about 6 months when I first started losing weight but that was it. We shall see on Monday or Thursday. thanks for all the help and understanding. I am gonna try to get my little puppy that bites like a lion to take a nap with me. lol. blessings, Annie |
Hiya my peeps!
Annie, I'm hoping something is done soon about your gallbladder or whatever is messing with you. Cyn, you go girl! And I love your new avatar. I have great news. The Jackson-Pratt drain I was sent home with on Feb 5th is OUT! The great nurses and PA at Johns Hopkins surgical clinic got me an appt today. I have an appt with surgeon on Monday, but I was afraid in the next few days, I'd get an infection since it's been in too long plus the stitch holding it still got pulled. It's been in me and non-functional for 7 days; 5 days too long because of being snowed in here in DC. It's didn't hurt to be taken out. I was afraid it would. It's gone! I'm so happy. Hugs to all, Ratkity |
Hey Ratkitty, if it didn't hurt I'd rule out infection! SO glad you are on the mend.xxxxxxx
Annie HUGS & hoping you are 'sorted out' soon, after all this trouble it's time you got to enjoy your new body! xxxxxxxxx Cyn, lol about the religious guys, still if they know what's goin on you never know what might be said to 'her'. Hope you are enjoying your walks & feeling better soon. I had terrible chest pains on Wednesday night, they continued through Thursday. they were bad enough to stop me moving, breathing, anything, I rang up a medical advice centre call 999, NO!!! I saw the Dr who said it looked like I had a virus but to keep an eye on it. I'm much better, only had three lots of pain yesterday & none so far today. sadly I was OFF PLAN for two days, not much food but cr@ppy choices, biscuits, COOKIES, lol, 'custard creams' don't even like them!! They are SO sweet, still back on the straight & narrow today! I'm still a bit scared to exercise though, dunno whether to wait a couple of days or try & see how I feel, any advice? xxxxxxxxsharon |
Hi sharon,
Chest pains?! Oh dear. Was it your lungs and breathing? So sorry you had this. I'd have called emergency too. I'd wait a few days to exercise especially if taking deep breaths cause pain. Hugs, Ratkity |
Something I found while perusing the web.. great inspriation!
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you’ve got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway. -Kent Keith |
RAT: I really love this saying! I think I shall print it!
LAst night hubby and I went walking. About 3 streets over we noticed the cops had a house barracaded. This almost never happens where we live. There were some neightbors outside. We asked what happened. I guess some dingdong guy was robbing someones house and SHE came home from work..walked right in and asked wha the was doing in her house..he said "I lost my dog" OMG what a dumb butt..so he ran out of the house..and she followed him with her car..and he ran home to his own house..AGAIN dumbbutt! So as of last night I dont know when or if they got him out..but when we left SWAT was getting ready to break in the door. I don't get it..you have one chance at life that I know of and this is what this dummy decides to do with it. (shrugging sholders) Tonight I am staying at my sisters to watch her kids. I hate being away from my hubby...but one night should be fine lol. |
Happy Valentine's Day chicks!
Rat...I hope all continues to go well with your healing. Annie...keeping you in my prayers. I am sorry you are not feeling up to snuff! Hubby and I went to the movies yesterday afternoon for an early Valentines Day date and saw "Young Victoria". Wonderful film! We both loved it. Today we are doing some painting in the house...I know...how romantic! ;) I am staying ON PLAN and there will be NO chocolate or overindulging here today. I REALLY want to get to my goal by this time next year!! Enjoy your day everyone! |
Morning all..
Well the kids wiped me out last night! THey were up til 2am and I was sooo trying to sleep but couldnt. I will be draggin today I am sure. Heck them too cause I made them get up at 8 lol. Today I feel a little sad. Its getting closer to the time when my sons EX will have the baby, if she hasnt already. I wish she would JUST wake up and realize how stupid she is being. How would she liek to have helped create a child and someone tell her she cant see it! KARMA I hope comes soon for her! |
Rat: Thanks :) Yippee for the drain coming out and not hurting. They took mine out in the hospital the next day? I guess every Doc is different. Are your sweet parents still there?
Sharon: Oh sweetie pie. I am so sorry that you had chest pain. About a month after my heart attack I was having chest pains like that all day and I finally went to the emergency. It turned out to be pnuemonia. Please be careful. Cyn: So sorry about you getting sad. Can't you guys get a lawyer and get shared custody or at least visitation? Peggy: Painting is my kind of romance. lol. Happy Valentines day to you all. Many blessings, Annie |
Hiya my Peeps!
I continue to heal and even took a bath last night cuz I could! My parents left Friday. It was both sad and happy to see them go. I have a tiny house with 1 potty and it was a big act of coordination to get 3 adults in and out without mishaps lol. I was sad because it was nice to have company and talk to Mom and Dad anytime I wanted. I had their complete attention since we were snowed in here TWICE! lol. The animals miss them. Charley, one of the goldens, really liked Dad as did the parrot, Buford. Ratkity misses hissing at everyone. Buffy tried her best to get extra food from them, but never got any. Mom's old cat isn't doing well and really hung in there until she got home. He's 19 yrs old and barely hanging on. Poor BikerMa is beside herself with grief. It's so hard to let go of the sweet fuzzies when it's time. Cyn, my little sis just had a gaggle of 8 yr old girls spend the night. She said she's exhausted too! Tort, lol about your romantic painting! Sharon, how are you feeling? Hugs to Catherine, Chaos, Heathers, Nathan and all the other Peeps and Lurkers! Ratkity |
