Cyn - :D I found these darling little paper sacks with all kinds of Halloween motifs at Micheals for $.23 cents! :D I also got some foam Halloween stickers there, a whole bunch, for I thought $2. I put some in the bags for the kids because they like stickers, but did use a few as decoration. It is so much fun to find inexpensive things for kids. I just think the expensive stuff is nice, but to a kid it doesn't matter lol. My niece is too young for candy and things, so at Target they have the $1.00 section and I got her a little candy corn pail and a purple monster puppet and two monster balls, all cute so they aren't scary. :D

Kayley - Halloween is also my fav. I haven't decorated my little apartment yet, but going to this weekend. I'm drawing up a few things and going to print them out, got some black streamers and going to make curtains out of that. Easy stuff...I have a ghost pumpkin as well, but that is for this weekend. I'll carve up something for myself closer to the holiday :D haha. I think I'll roast pumpkin seeds this year too. Love those!

Got up late today and my weight is up up up, but I'm hoping it is related to my upcoming monthly. My lowest is 266/267 and now I'm weighing in at 270. I'm HOPING that is an increase in water and blah blah...but I did do my fair share of emotional eating, so perhaps I'm seeing the results of that as well. Well I will continue to weigh as I want to track fluctuations. Well I better not have fluctuated out of 3 pounds! hahahahaha

Going to have a smoothie later. I like it, kind of the sweet and tart with of course SPINACH haha. It is good. :)

Good morning ladies...it has been a tough week for me this week because of my knee i cant workout as hard as i like and not as much as i like i have been working out like every other day instead of everyday and as of this morning i am down almost 3 lbs so hopefully that will hold for my weigh in tomorrow but its just getting me really frustrated cause i want to work out but i dont want to injure my knee anymore than it is and i injured it a week ago yesterday but its still really sore i hope i didnt do anything horrible too it :( but i was looking up online about knee injuries and sometimes it can take a few weeks for them to heel so next week i will probably end up with the same exercise program as this week...grrr its just frustrating but i am happy that at least i am hopefully going to lose 3 lbs this week even though i havent been able to exercise as much.

I didnt exercise this morning but i am going to try to get my husband to go for a walk with me later today and at least get some exercise that way.

Jacquie - How often do you weigh? I find it's those little fluctuations that make me lose all hope. There is nothing more depressing than weighing yourself, and then a few hours later weighing yourself again and you're up 3 lbs!!!

Heather - Be careful with that knee! It's okay to take some time off to heal. :hug:

Hey ladies! I am having a pretty good week. A little torn about my workouts. Thinking I should be doing more, and more intensely, but also wanting to be realistic and not burn myself out. I also need to get my butt into some Y classes! I know they're great workouts... I think it's the whole big group of people thing that's been holding me back. Need to get over that....

I'm SUPER excited about Halloween as it is one of my favorite holidays as well! My friends and I always dress up and go out... this year some of them will be performing at a Halloween show at my fav. local watering hole. :) I'm trying to figure out a costume! I like to put them together myself without spending a lot of money. I was a gypsy 2 years ago and a witch last year... I always go out of my way to feel good in my costume because there's always a slew of sexy nurses, sexy storybook characters, sexy blah blah blah...

I'm thinking maybe Medusa? A toga and some sort of snake headdress... that could be fun.

Also... pretty happy I haven't had a drop of liquor since Sat night and haven't been missing it. I'm pretty sure my drinking is social and not a problem. lol. (Which is something I take seriously because alcoholism runs in my family.) I'm not going near the stuff for awhile because I want a couple more big numbers lost on that scale!

Currently I wanted to weigh myself throughout my monthly, which I haven't started but I'm showing symptoms, so I could track my fluctuations. Usually I weigh every couple of days in the mornings. However my boyfriend has BANNED me from the scale except for Sundays, so once a week I'm afraid lol.

He doesn't like me getting a bit obsessive and feels like I might be. :P The fluctuations don't bother me usually. The only time it gets to me is when I see my weight dip down and then back up and it stays up for a few days then dips down again. That is annoying lol. Right now my weight is showing 269 - 271, which annoys me, but I also know I always show a 4-7 pound increase when I approach my monthly. :dizzy:

Good evening, ladies! Day 4 of the Shred is done. I was REALLY sore today, so I did some DDR, but I could only get in 20 more minutes, so I just called it quits for the night. Don't want to hurt myself or anything.

So, I wore my jeans today...you know, the ones that just recently started fitting again? Well, they are already a bit loose! Not falling off loose, or even needing a belt loose, but I could feel the difference. Woo! Hopefully, I'll be out of the 26's soon, and back into my size 24's! :) Once I get lower than that, I'll need new jeans, as I've never been below a 24, even when I lost weight before!



Heather hb - Try some Yoga stretching (search for some beginner's moves online). It'll help stretch your body out, and keep you active when you can't fully work out. Plus, Yoga is so relaxing. I just love it. Also, you can sit on your stability ball, just don't bounce and whatnot. That'll help as well. And upper body strength training. Just because your knees are out of commission for a bit, you can definitely still work out! :)

Pink - Thanks for the comment on my hair in the other thread. Unfortunately, it's back to being black, since I have to be all 'professional' and whatnot. You know...that whole 'being an adult' thing. lol. I'm 23, and can only pull it off for so long...they should realize that! ;)

Andrea - The classes at the Y used to intimidate me a lot. But one of their bigger employees started an exercise class, and it was great. People of all shapes and sizes were in there, and it wasn't intimidating at ALL. The Stability Ball classes are great! Definitely a killer, but highly recommend!

Kayleystar - WOO! Awesome! You know I was walking around the day before yesterday and I thought to myself "I'm a size 24!" It is so great to fit into a smaller size and that is a NSV for sure. I'm pear shaped, so I need a bigger bottom than a top lol. So, when my jeans are smaller I know I've accomplished something! Maybe not what I wanted, but I sure a heck did do something! lol

Well I swear I don't get a break, and yeah this is a whine, but I just have issues. lol. I'm hormonal, carrying a lot, my relationship is just really hard right now. I really feel alone at times and yesterday I just felt like I was under attack all day. It gets to you after awhile. It occurs to me that my emotions and stress actually interferes with everything. From the day to day things to exercising to eating poorly. That is why it is so important for me to really start to learn how to cope. I mean why can't I take out my hurt feelings or anger on exercise? Just wear myself out? Or I could draw, something therapeutic. I'm pondering solutions...going to experiment. It is my year goal, so I don't expect to work miracles here, but I do expect to continue to make process. I'm very self aware and actually talking about it out loud...facing it. *nods*

I hope everyone is well. I'm BANNED from the scale, but I know my weight is up. I just hope it is bloating. ;)

Jacquie - take a deep breath - take care of yourself - remember - we take care of the things we love starting with ourselves. I'm learning exercise is a great stress reliever for me - plus it is something for ME. It's not Sunday but do something nice for yourself! Also - let's find that NSV today. Deal?

Good Morning ladies...today is weigh-in day and i lost 2.2 lbs! I was hoping for more but since i have a knee injury and cant workout as much i am happy with that 2 lb weight loss especially since that puts me at 35.7 lbs lost!! so i got to change my avatar today plus i got to add another xmas tree! today is definately a good day and my knee is feeling much better today but im not gonna push it im gonna do upper body exercising and exercise my other leg and hopefully by sunday or monday be able to workout again.

Good afternoon, ladies! Just flying through here this afternoon, I'm afraid. Got in my 30 Day Shred (Day 5), and some Belly Dancing. Thinking of doing some Yoga, and maybe some Wii Fit later on when I get to my boyfriend's house.

Tomorrow is my weigh-in. I peeked today, and was up about half a pound. We'll see tomorrow. I feel good this week, and I'm confident that if I gained at all, it's due to muscle. I feel so much stronger even than I did last week. :)

Well, I'm out of here. Need to get cleaned up and straighten my hair, and all that fun stuff. lol. Have a great night, chicks! :)

Hi everyone!

I went to the gym today for the first time in almost 2 years. All I did was a 20 minute swim, but we have to start somewhere right? I feel good but tired. My weight is down 3 1/2 lbs, but I'm not sure if it's just a normal fluctuation, and I also don't know if my actual SW was 265, because I weighed about 3 weeks before I started. BUT, down a bit anyway.

I have been waiting to go on a bike ride all week, but it has been nothing but rain. Maybe tomorrow will be nicer.
