300+ Weekly Thread #1210
WELCOME! We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs. We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't. We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time. Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out. We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us. I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out. If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site. Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker. There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. Hey everyone -- Just wanted you all to see the announcement at the top of all forum pages. This site will be down much of tomorrow as we switch servers!
|
I'm finally back to posting our modemn died on us. Took forever to get a new one shipped to us. I have sucked at trying to lose weight and am jumping back on this morning. I'm sticking with my low carb eating I seem to do better. I had breakfast cheese cake for breakfast oh sooooo good. I need to get a move on stuff today. Got schooling and such with the boys to do. And then cleaning and of course excersing.
|
Morning people. Quick post as I'm going to be WITHOUT POWER today. God...I swear. Every single day it is something around where I live. So, now I'm gonna miss my aerobics workout again. *sighs* So, I'm going to spend the day doing housework as I can't do any work work as my computer will be down.
I did manage a shower in...just waiting for the power to go any moment. I hope you all are well! *HUGS* |
morning all..
I had a great mothers day. We went to my sisters. Everyone went swimming cause it was 103 here!! I could not swim because of my STAPH, but thats ok. This will be my last week for the early shift. It is not relaly working for me or my friend. So we are going to go back to 9 to 530 and carpool. Not sure if we are going to carpool everyday or not. She is in the process of finding a new house . Drink your water today all!! |
Happy Monday everyone!!
The sun is shining here in KY. I plan on spending some time in it today while its here. I lost 1.2lbs this week. hugs to all |
Good morning all. It's cool, but sunny here today. I did my morning walk on my own this morning (probably a first for me). My mother wasn't up to it (probably did too much yesterday) and the other option, my neighbour, has a class on Mondays. I found out that my natural walk/jog pace on my own actually got me home at the same time as I would have with the neighbour (although she walks too fast for my taste).
Not sure what I'm up to today. I'll figure it out after breakfast. Hope everyone is having a great Monday! |
Happy Monday everyone! My no-carb modified fast to test for food allergies seems to be working very well ~ after a 3-month stall I lost about 4 lbs last week, yay. I don't expect that to continue but a steady 1-2 lbs a week would be fabulous at this point.
Hope you all had a great weekend and a good week so far. |
Greetings sweet Peeps!
GGG, hugs to you and your doggie. That weekend was rough. Now you had another? Annie, you go girl on that trampoline! I used to jump on one as a kid and loved it to death. Perhaps I should look into a small exercise one? Zelma, healing vibes are still being sent to you and your brother and family. I had a 5 day bout of a sore throat and low grade fever. Ticked me off because I just got over intestinal grumbles not but 10 days earlier. Yes, I've been good about taking my vitamins! hehe. I knew that would be your first question. I think stress and allergies are making my immune system drop. My older sister got drunk at my family's Mother's Day dinner. I wasn't there (I live 5 hrs away) yet I heard about it in minute detail. Never a dull moment. Her 20 yr old son is getting very angry at the whole thing. I worry she is going to get into an accident drinking and driving (I have no idea why my family let her leave after dinner either). Alas! Prayers for my knucklehead sister would be appreciated! I did get the yard mowed, the hedges trimmed (dang that stickily old holly bush) and the weeds poisoned. The dogs had a great time chasing the ball while I was outside (mow 10 ft, stop, pick up ball, throw... repeat). Hugs to all! Ratkity |
Good Morning all,
It is a rainy day but not too cold. I had my ortho check up at 7 a.m. and it is almost 10 a.m. now and I have tons of banana bread baking. It is our turn to take snacks to bible study on Wednesday. I am baking banana bread with nuts and coco chips and butterscotch chips. I will be taking veggies and dip and spinich dip and sour dough, Hubby requested them. The bread smells really good baking but I am determined to "Just say no". I am feeling a bit under the weather today. Nothing I can put my finger on just icky and sore ears hurting. Carol: It was a weird eating weekend here too. I never hardly ever eat bread but yesterday I ate about 3 pieces of garlic bread??? I Hope that we both do better from here on out. Ally: Welcome back. Jacquie: I hope your power isn't out too long. Cyn: Wow, 103 sounds soooo nice and warm. lol. Debi: Woo hoo on another -1.2 pounds. Way to go. Enjoy the sunshine. I did yesterday. Anne: Great job walking alone. I don't often walk because I don't like doing it alone. DC: Woo hoo on another -4 way to kick that stall in the bootie. Rat: Sorry about your sister. I will be praying for her. Great job on all that yard work. Well, I think I am going to try to take a nap now. The sister in law that is moving in with us in July will be coming this Friday for about a week so I have a few chores to do. Not many actually as my house is usually pretty clean. Joel is looking forward to seeing her again. I am too. Blesings all, Annie |
Well, in the constant battle for motivation, my mother in law, bless her, gave me some great stuff to work with. She has apparently given up trying to convince my husband that I'm going to divorce him, since it is quite clear that if I was going to leave, I'd have done so long ago. She has now changed tactics, and is telling him that he should leave me because, "Catherine is crippled and holding you back. It is dynamite. Leave her behind. You are young." Or, "You should not always walk with Catherine. She will handicap you, for God's sake." Those were just the ones he was willing to show me. I cut out those parts of her letters, and posted them right next to me. I have all the incentive I need now.
|
Catherine: So sorry. Please consider the source but, use it girl. Hugs.
Blessings, Annie |
Happy Monday to everyone! I'm back from my quick trip to San Diego and a crazy weekend. My diet has been all but destroyed in the last week with going on vacation, coming home for DH's birthday and Mother's Day yesterday, but back on plan today!
Had a great time in San Diego and would go back any time. It is a really nice city and the weather was fabulous. Next time I want to go to the wild animal park - we did the zoo this time and it was a lot of fun!! Hope everyone has a great week. I'm ready to be back on track and continue my way down on the scale! ~Jenny |
Hi chickies,
Got done painting my Mom's livingroom/dining room. It was our Mother's Day gift to her. Not as young as I used to be....LOL... The brain kept telling me I could do it but the body was screaming noooooooooo! Anyhow it's done and looks so pretty. Food sucks at the moment. I'm a foodaholic for sure. Just can't seem to get it under control. Still walking my steps though but need to get more in. That's about it for me. Catherine, wow! what a nice mother in law. So glad that Himself doesn't listen to her. If she would only sit down and really get to know you, she would be sorry she ever tried to come between you and hubby. toodles! |
Well, my power was out for 7 and a half hours... *rubs temples* Listening to the guys outside doing whatever they were doing was...amazingly frustrating. I loved it when they stood around and talked for half an hour. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...i was cursing them out in my head, but I'm polite and waited patiently.
I cleaned though, did housework, and just occupied myself. Going to make up exercise time tomorrow hopefully, but it is a Yoga/strength day. :D I'm excited...I miss YOGA! Hope everyone is well! *HUGS* |
Hey everyone! I'm sooo glad the weekend is over LOL. I think that's the first time I've ever said that, but the dieting pressure was crazy... I made it though! A few missteps here and there, but we're not always perfect right? I still ate WAYYY better then I used to, so that's something. I just want the weight to hurry up and come off, but that's just me being impatient like usual :) I hope all of you are having a good Monday and I'm not going to know what to do tomorrow without 3FC while it's down...boo!
PS- What is breakfast cheesecake, it sounds yummy! |
Sharon - I posted the full view pic on the pic page. Thanks for the lovely comments.
Today was a much better OP day for me - many things lead me to the issues I had over the weekend - 6.5 pounds in 2.5 days. The biggest single thing I believe is disruption of my routine - oh how I love my routine. It seems such a simple thing - to be more spontaneous and not let changes stop me in my tracks. I'm working on it. |
Morning everyone. :D
YAY my power is on...god I hope it stays on! lol... Later I'm going to do Yoga for the first time in ages and a strength workout as well. I'm also doing an experiment. Going to do only raw, uncooked, foods and see if this weight gets moving!!!! GRRRRRRR! I'm like the Hulk today...GRRRRRRRRRR! Maybe this little tiff I'm having with my body is going to jumpstart me into completely raw, which is what i want. I know I have all these friggin' intolerance to food, allergies, and well food directly affects my skin conditions. So, BLECH! lol... I gotta learn how to EAT and eat well and keep it up! I'm actually a bit pumped up today...I did get some sleep, didn't get up early. I think on my off days I'm going to get up a bit later to catch up on some sleep. :D It was nice sleeping in as the last three days I got up like at the crack of dawn for a morning walk. I hope everyone is well! :D *HUGS* |
morning gals!
jacquie:glad your power is back on! That wouls so suck! carol: Love the new avitar!!! Catherine: sorry about the MIL troubles! As for me: Hubby and kids and I wateched a movie last night that we rented from Netflix! Lakeview terrace..the one where samuel L jackson is a crooked cop! It was good but those movies tend to make me a little mad lol. My oldest is going to put in applications today. I hope someone hires him. he is very frustrated. Everyone have a great day! |
A quickie post this morning after my walk, before my breakfast. It's sunny but cold this morning. I keep waiting for summer, but it seems so far away.
Annie - I agree, I don't like walking alone. However, I did do it a bit last fall in the city I go to school in. So, I suppose it's time to do it close to where I live. Catherine - boo hiss on the MIL. Sadly, there's probably little you can do about it by this point. Jacquie - I'd probably go nuts without power, glad it's back on though. Carol - love the new avatar, and I saw the pictures too. Looks like you were having a good time! To everyone else  That's me for now, breakfast time, and then who knows.... |
Anne - Drove me nuts! lol...The power thing really ticked me off as our landlord gave us like no notice, but I suppose it is better than what they usually do. They just shut it off without any notice including our water. I actually lost work on the computer when they did that! When we complained there were like "uhhhhh...yeah...okay." *KICKS THEM* At least I cleaned a bit. :D :D :D Hehe....You know you inspired me to try to jog a little. It is hard to pick up my legs...I never knew it would be that hard. I only did a little and got worn out ,but still I'll keep trying!
***** OOOOOOOO Today I LOVED exercise. :D I did my Yoga, really exciting until the lady on the TV told me to bend like that and stick and hold my leg out. I went "OMG NO!" lol..so I was done. But I got further than I ever did. I also did my core and weight training and my arms, legs, and abs are really feeling it. I got farther than I did, but I was worn out. Sweating, making funny noises like *UH...NOOOOO...OHHHHHH* and shaking. Had to stop, but I'll make it my goal to get all the way through the entire workout, including the core training! :D *HUGS* |
My MIL really doesn't bother me. I think she bothers himself more. I think the best way to pay her back for her kindness is to lose weight. Living well is always the best revenge.
I've had about 5 days in a row of OP. The best part is that it has been easy. That's always scary. I've got more energy, less pain, and generally feel much better. I just wish I could remember that all the time. Usually when things are going good, that's when something comes up. Tonight we are going out to eat with friends, and they've picked Tony Roma's. I don't have my own car, so have less say in the place we pick. She is an overweight type 2 diabetic, so you'd think she'd pick someplace different. I looked up the menu on line to prepare myself, and no nutritional info at all. Big shock. I guess it's one of those places that if you have to ask, you shouldn't eat there. Hopefully there will be some grilled fish. It's on the menu, but up here, it can be hard to actually find it in the kitchen. |
Good morning peeps. :D
Today I struggled to get out of bed. This routine is hard to get into for me and I've made slight changes, like doing Yoga and Strength on the off days. So, yesterday I pumped and pumped and felt the soreness today! Groaning I got out of bed and went for my morning walk! :D I feel great about it...I keep ignoring that little evil voice "Why not sleep in? Why not just go home now? You don't need another lap?" SHUT UP! lol I feel kind of like a late bloomer. Everyone else seems to be in this routine, doing their thing and I'm like just now getting it lol. :P I hope everyone is well...:D |
WTG CATHERINE - pay her back! Thinner and healthier is the best revenge.
ANNIE, i LOVE your avatar! You are so awesome!! I am SO glad to see so many familiar folks - RATKITTEN, CYN, ANNE & everyone else!!! I tried to post yesterday, but logged on just before the site shut down. But I'm back - with a serious reduction in excuses. When I last posted I had started the new job, but thru Jan-Feb I was working 80+ hours a week. You have NO idea how exciting year end processing can be with new staff, a new computer system, and just a couple of chain reaction program glitches. Yikes. But all is well now, work has settled down, my slightly broken ankle is 98% better, I'm riding Gabriel out thru the woods and life is good. It' would be a heck of a lot better at 100 pounds less tho! So there it is. I gained a bunch of weight back, although not all of it. I've topped out this time at 305 and have backed it off to 302 so far. I'm looking for some kind of program that I can afford, fit into my schedule, and will help me stay on track. I have a friend that wants to walk at 5:30 in the a.m.... but that's just not happening. I'm tempted to join a that I looked at before and liked, and I have to drive past it on the way to/from work, but I don't want another contract. I paid for over a year @ Curves and got there, like 3-4 times. They're never open when I could go. Anyway, I'm back. Again. This week is my 49th birthday, and I just can't imagine continuing this slide and being like this or worse when I hit the big FIVE-OH. Everything is starting to ache, and even taking my blouse off over my head last night was a challenge. Seriously, should THAT be a CHALLENGE? But it is. So what did I do? I sat and cried watching BL finale... while eating ice cream. I am a seriously conflicted person sometimes. I have to fix that, or at least learn how to deal with it. Maybe I'll start going to TOPS tonight... |
Val - Hi and welcome back.
I have been entering my food into spark people and i like it!! Took some getting use to though! Today is super windy here even though the sun is shining. We have storms heading at us for this evening and night. You know the scales are going to be nice when you wake up with your rings turned upside down on your finger. I think drinking extra yesterday really paid off! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day |
Life is good. I got another couple of wheelbarrows full of medium-sized wood, cut some of it up (will do the rest later) and had my lunch on the patio. And yes, my wireless works on the patio! I have the umbrella up enough to cover the laptop, but I'm enjoying the sun. It would still be nice to have a summer job, and not be as broke as I am, but still....
Today's favourite iPod tunes: Love Shack - B52's Jaded - Aerosmith 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon B*tch - Meredith Brooks Silver Thunderbird - Marc Cohn Come Sail Away - Styx Heartache Tonight - Eagles Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen (I know, it's on shuffle, and I really need to load some new stuff.) Now off to do a few things before having a swim with my mother. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! |
Hi gals...
Val: Glad to see ya again!!! I agree with you about the contracts. That is one reason that i joined the YMCA no contract. BUT it was expensive and was a ways from my house. Catherine: You go girl!!!! jacquie: I have always wanted to try yoga. I did once..it wasnt pretty lol As for me: Today at work was national :something" day..lol..so we were given a free lunch. It was really tasty! I had leomonade with it instead of pop. This will be my last week I think for this early schedule. Our boss is suppose to let us know when we can go back to the 9-530 schedule. I had an interesting conversation with one of our supervisors. I guess she thought I was still going to school. Then she asked if I was happy with my salary...I am not. I am basically $2 away from being at the top of my pay scale. Although we "survive" on it, I am troubled that is as high as I can go with it. In order for me to advance to anything I'd ahve to go back to school. Either in the medical field, or get a general AA degree to become a manager. She said my name was brought up in a meeting because some bosses thought I was still in school and they wanted to know when Id be done so that they could keep me in mind for manager positions. I dont see myself as a manager. BUT I am considering going back to school. So will keep that in the back of my mind for now. I did enjoy school when I was going. |
Cyn-Isn't it nice to know that people value your work?
Got my walking in today. I'm starting to feel like I'm getting my sea legs back. It was hard last night sitting there eating grilled fish and steamed veggies while everyone else was having all you can eat ribs. I made it okay. I surprised myself. At least I'm not waking up today with a food hang over. |
Val, good to see you again! Welcome back!!
Anne, I LOVE so many of those songs. It takes me back to the good ol days! Cyn, that's great that they are looking at you and considering you for a manager even though you don't want the position. They're seeing that you have potential. That's great news!! Catherine, that's willpower girl!!! My son and dil have decided to move to California. They found a rental, and have put in for transfers but don't have the money to do it now. I don't really think they thought things thru and how much it would actually cost to make such a big move from Washington to California. My son was here trying to borrow money off of my parents, but they're on a fixed income and couldn't do it. Plus, they still owe my parents money from a couple of years ago they never paid back ,so they done burnt that bridge. We can't afford to give them money, so I don't know what they're going to do. I hope they end up staying here but they seem determined. I just wanted to let you ladies know that I'm doing a fundraiser for the USO thru Avon since it's Armed Forces Day this Saturday 16th. If you would like to help out the troops, PM me and I'll tell you how you can send a "USO2GO" kit to our troops overseas. (Hope this is ok Heather):o I'm still struggling. Seems I can do exercise, or I can do the food well, but I can't do them both together. How do you keep your hunger down when you exercise and build up that appetite?? Well, that's it for me. Have a great evening! |

Debbie -- That promo was okay. The rules have softened over time. We don't like a lot of self-promotion, or a lot of extensive charity promotion, and you can't join just to promote, but your request was, I think, okay. Of course, policies change over time as needed...
|
Hi everyone :)
I'm on day 3 of FA (Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous) and day 3 of not eating any flour or sugar. I haven't been posting a whole lot but I have been reading a ton! I am supposed to have 30 minutes of quiet time each morning and I have been spending it on 3FC because I get motivated for the day! You all rock :) - Courtney |
Cyn - I love Yoga. I used to do it years ago, when I was in much better shape, and because of that I'm pretty flexible. I remember as a teen not being able to touch my toes, everyone else seemed to, but I could not. About a years worth of Yoga and I could touch the floor. :D Now I can touch the floor, sit and pull my leg up almost behind my head and I'm still this big! I also relearned how hard it is...it isn't pretty when I do it either. I just do what I can... :D
**** Today is my rest day! :D I decided to have it today and not on Sunday. My ankle is very weak, I've been feeling it causing me issues for awhile now and after all my activity this week it is really not doing well. So, I got a brace and have that on and am giving myself a break today. I'm very sore, but feeling great otherwise. Very frustrated with my weight. I am convinced the pills I'm taking is causing me to put on some pounds and bloating on top of that. I know that sometimes when you take meds you gain some weight, but it scares me and I know you ladies know why! I have this fear of gaining it all back! So, I'm hoping so much for the next two weeks to go well. I really really want to see the weight go down! I'm stubborn now and determined. We'll see. The thing is that I'm always bloated now...always and I was not like that before the BC pills. Grrrrrr! Things are good though. I have a slight body flare up with my skin condition...or should I say conditions as they flare up together. So, I'm probably going to have to start taking antibiotics again soon, but I'm hopeful that some turmeric pills will help. I read that people with the conditions I have as well as other autoimmune diseases take Turmeric in some form as it helps. So, I'm going to the health food store this evening. One thing I MUST change is when I eat dinner. I am eating way to late and it is because of my boyfriend. He likes to eat like at 7pm - 8pm and that is just too late for me. I need to eat around 5:30 or 6pm to get things digested and be able to turn in early. I went to the store, got loads of healthy things, I'm ready for today. First full raw day in a long time. No cooked..just raw raw raw. :D Yay! Hope you all are well! I'm going to have some fruit for breakfast and a smoothie for lunch. :D |
Julia, what the heck are we going to do?
Heather, thanks! I'm glad it was ok. I'm having a hard time connecting to 3FC. Any ideas how come? Another rainy day here in Washington. I think summer is going to get skipped this year and we'll just dive into another winter. The lawns really need a mowing!!! I miss my walking time with the mower. Hope all are doing well. Debbie |
Courtney, I did SB a couple years ago and lost 70 pounds. I discovered what a trigger sugar and flour are. I hope that sort of regiment works well for you too. My brain actually changed so that I didn't even THINK about food like I used to. I wish I could get back to that point. Hang in there!!
Committed myself to this journey in a bigger way than usual last night, when I joined TOPS. I think for me it will be a place where I'm held accountable without being told I HAVE to lose wt in a specific way. I'm excited about the next weigh in. Gardening tonight with a friend who makes everything more fun. Raising my own veggies is just a healty plan all the way around. |
Happy Thursday everyone,
Jenny: Glad you had fun in San Diego. Debbie: That was so sweet of you to paint your Mom's living rooom. Ouch, what a bad time to move to CA. I hope they rethink it. My SIL is moving here from Sacramento in July and she will be here tomorrow night for about a week of school interviews. Jacquie: Glad your power is back on. Smiles: Hi there. Carol: I love a routine too. At least a good one. It is so hard to establish one once things change. lol. Cyn: I have been wanting to see that movie. It looks interesting. Anne: I can't wait for summer either. Catherine: Woo hoo on your 5 days op. Great job at the restaurant! Val: Hugs and it is so nice to see you back here doll. Debi: I woke up this morning with the oposite problem with my rings. Weight is up and TOM is here. UGH. lol. Courtney: Congrats on 3 days of F/A. Keep up the great work. Well, I am cleaning my house today. I'm almost done with it. Just moving slow and feeling blah. TOM is bad right now but I know that should only last a day or two. Blessings all, Annie |
Debbie-I eat right after I exercise because exercise just tanks my blood sugar levels. I take a liquid meal to the pool with me to drink as soon as I get dried off. If I know I'm going to go walking at the mall, I put something in the crockpot to have the second I get home. Partially because I know that I'll be too tired to cook. I also read somewhere that immediately after exercise, and for a couple hours after, your metabolism is raised, so you burn the food you do eat right after exercise faster.
TOM hit this morning, and I'm still not craving anything. Normally, I'm eating everything in the house including paint chips. I'm almost afraid to hold my breath because I want this to last. |
Hello! :) I'm very new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ronnie and I have just started trying to get healthy and lose weight a month ago. Well, I guess you could say I've been trying to lose weight for years but it was only a month ago that I really started making real changes in how I live my life.
I was diagnosed with diabetes, which was a huge shock since I am only 22 years old. I'm following an exchange meal plan now that my doctor gave me and it seems to be keeping my blood sugar in a good range and helping me lose weight. So far, I'm down 16 lbs. :D Anyway, this forum is huge and I am still getting the hang of it, but I just wanted to say hi and I hope I get to know everyone better soon! |
Ronnie, welcome!! So glad you joined us. Sounds like you've got yourself on a good plan that is working for you. YAY on the 16lbs gone!! You'll find lots of great ladies here and tons of support.
Annie, they have their hearts set on moving. The only thing I don't like is them coming to borrow $2500 from my dad, he said no and then they hit up my mom for $1500, she said no. They know they would never see it again from past experience. If they have to borrow money to move, they shouldn't be moving at other people's expense. I want to knock my son in the head. I didn't raise him to be like this. But his wife is so controlling, he would do anything for her. It's really a shame. That will be nice to have the company of your SIL. That's something I need to do is clean the house. I just got done with laundry, at least. Catherine, good job on staying OP!!! My problem is sitting here alone at night. I just think that I might as well eat since there's nothing else to do. Bad habit. Val, I used to go to TOPS when I was a kid. It was pretty good. Good luck to you! Time to go watch the finale of ****'s Kitchen. I hope Danny wins! toodles |
Ronnie - WELCOME! :D You rock and we all rock. We can do this...learn how to make these changes and stick to them. :D Of course not without all the struggles, but for some reason I always find myself mumbling "anything hard is worth doing" lol. I dunno why...motivates me I guess.
***** I didn't get up early today...got up a bit later and didn't go for a walk this morning. Giving my ankle a bit more time and going to see how it goes with a workout later on today. I have a brace on it a lot of the time now and I can feel it throb when I put it on. It feels good with the brace, and weak without it. So, hopefully this will stop the pain when I exercise and prevent further injury. I remember when I hurt my wrist, an actual injury, I over extended it and the pain was horrible. I put one of those firm, plastic braces on and it felt SOOOOOO good lol. I kind of feel that with my ankle, but not as much. I totally caught this BEFORE I got seriously injured. So, hopefully it won't slow me down. I gotta ban myself from my scale AGAIN as I'm obsessing and getting upset. So, I'm going to be patient, which is hard for me lol, and see how the next two weeks go. I'll weigh myself once a week and see how things go. VENTING TIME: We have idiotic workmen around our apartment. What I mean is, they are pretty....annoying and inconsiderate. It is the area I live in to be honest. People around here have a mindset that is...well...I don't know. It isn't every one though, just seems to be people who come around to do things. Like...fix our cable, set up cable, set up all things electric, work on this, work on that. It is sort of like "um...yeah...like I'm gonna splice into your cable to um like give your like neighbor TV cable. Yeah." My response "1. We don't have your cable TV service so splicing it won't do anything will it. 2. You're not SUPPOSED to splice ANYTHING. Not only does that interfere with the service it creates problems for future people coming out here to fix things that YOU guys screw up!" This is after, I swear, 10 visits from the cable company and this was within 1 and a half years! Most of the time Cablevision, which I hate, sends out contractors who are not officially with the company. They screw EVERYTHING up around here. I mean it. The last time we called to have official people come out, I mean we made an appointment, the guy was like "Oh my god...what has happened here?!" He rewired everything, professionally, he was awesome. He isn't from around here hahahahahahaha. So EVERY single time my internet connection starts to get weak I just know...I KNOW they are messing with the cables again, they being the stupid jerks our landlord has bumbling around my apartment. They are fixing up another apartment. So, low and behold, they've been messing around with the cables. I go out, tighten everything, CURSE anyone who has ever touched them when they were not supposed to, and now it works. I swear these people piss me off. lol GRRRRR! Along with that, they use up all the garbage cans for their junk and now I hear from another dweller, that our landlord is dumping ROCKS from another property IN OUR bins! So, we can't use them. How the *CENSORED* are we supposed to like dump our trash?! I swear...living here is much better than where we were previously, but AHHHHH! lol Okay..end of rant. *HUGS* Hope everyone is well! :D :D :D |
