Good Morning Peeps! Happy weekend. Has anyone seen summer lurking around the corner? It seems impossible that Memorial Day is next weekend and the furnace is still running and the garden isn't completely planted. I haven't even had one swim at home.
Lauren - great to see you - I was just thinking about you too! Our thoughts found you. Ronnie - welcome - this is one fantastic group of ladies. I look forward to getting to know you. Annie - hope you have a nice time with your SIL. When will she be moving? Please share your sunshine - please? Catherine - how's the walking going? I'm actually starting to enjoy mine now that it is away from the treadmill. I'm considering selling the treadmill - takes up too much room and I can do WATP when the weather is bad - I sweat more doing it - I think I push myself harder. Cyn - when is graduation? Today I'm going to a bridal shower - fortunately the hostess is a personal trainer and very health oriented. Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things the bride to be will get. I am giving a curved shower rod - what else for a shower gift? It was on her registry and is my newest favorite gadget with the recently completed bathroom remodel. I hope to get home soon enough to do some more work outside - entertaining time is here and we are not ready for it. Enjoy the weekend - move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE. Hugs to all, Carol |
Hi all,
Not too much to report other than my brother (favorite) may come visit me later this summer. I am so excited, I hope he does come. With regards to weight loss, I am just chugging along. My hope is to be 294.0 or lower tomorrow. I don't want to jinx anything, but I seem to be in some type of minor groove. I get 4 to 5 miles of walking most days, as well as other misc steps. I am at over 6000 steps today, so I have some more work to do. I will be weeding a little later though, so that should help some. I do have worries of the heat making it harder to stay in my "routine". I will need to figure something out, because I would like to maintain some momentum. I did buy some mini-chocolate chips last weekend in hopes of making myself a nice little trail mix (walnuts, raisins and chocolate chips). Needless to say the binge-monster found the chocolate chips and at them all.....yesterday. That may make hitting the weekly goal difficult. That's it for me for now. Take care all, Angie |
Hello my Peeps!
Well, my allergies turned into a full blown Spring cold. Just to add insult to injury, TOM decided to show up on time. UGH. Amazing how I can gain 7 lbs overnight. My cold is almost gone and TOM's main wrath will be gone by tomorrow. Meanwhile, my back decided to spasm. Never a dull moment! I know I'd have less back troubles if I toned my core muscles better. Hard to get motivated when in pain. I've taken some anti-spasm drugs and am waiting for my back to relax. Meanwhile, I heard "Eye of the Tiger" on the radio and thought of Annie and the rest of you angels today. Despite trying to catch all the Spring viruses, I am feeling better these days mentally about getting back on track. Hugs to all! GGG, your picts are FABBO! Hugs and Luv, Ratkity |
Hello all! Thanks so much for the warm welcome!
The weekend seems to be off to a good start for me. Yesterday for a work meeting, we all ordered lunch from Moe's Grill. It was the first time I'd eaten out since I started losing weight so I was a bit nervous but it wasn't a problem at all. It turns out all of their menu and nutritional information is on their website, so I was able to easily make a choice that fit my meal plan. My blood sugar remained stable and I am down to 376 lbs as of this morning. That means I've lost an even 20 lbs so far! :carrot: I'm so excited. Jacquie-- I'm the same way with the scale. At first, I would weigh myself every day and drive myself crazy with all of the little fluctuations and water weight. It's hard not to jump on "just to see" but I try to only weigh myself once per week now. GGG-- Have fun at the bridal shower! Your gift sounds great. I stayed at a hotel with a curved shower once and have wanted one ever since. It made the shower feel huge. :) Angie-- Great job on all the walking! Is there any place indoors that you can walk when it gets too hot or humid? Sometimes I go to the mall and walk around but then there's the temptation to shop. |
Hi ladies..
Carol: my sons graduation is may 22nd. Next friday! Angie: I understand about the HEAT! It is already 104 here with no signs of letting up. Summer has arrived. Ratkity: Glad you are feeling better. Those colds are nasty this year. As for me: my aunt came over and scrapbooked last night. Her and her mom came over today. She finished up the scrapbook and her mom was doing a latch hook rug. I was sewing pieces of my star quilt that I am starting. I am still working on the other one, but sometimes you gotta switch to something else. My youngest is at his friends bday party, and my oldest is at his GF house. Hubby will be home soon from work. I don't like being in the house alone. I think because growing up the hosue was always full of people. I did manage to do some cleaning today. DUSTBALLS be gone! My STAPH is healing so once it is pretty well gone I can start exercising again. I have missed it. I am going to start counting calories again tomorow. I don't think I have eaten that bad since I got sick, but i don't want to put weight back on. I am currently 322, I would like to be down below 300 by summers end. It may be a stretch BUT I really wanna work at it. I will go for my annual pap in June and my Dr that I was seeing for the STAPH says he wants to see some sort of weight loss. So the pressure is on. I am going to go shower and wait for hubby. I am going to the grocery store to get a few things. Later ladies |
Happy Saturday all,
Lauren: Welcome back. Great to see you again. Cyn; I'm so glad that your pictures of your son turned out well. Wonderful way to have fun and save money. Carol: I have to confess it feels so wonderful, Wonderful here today. I will gladly share the sunshine with you. It is making me sleepy. lol. I love it. I worked in my yard for 5 hours straight and it looks wonderful. I trimmed bushes, mowed yards, pulled all weeds etc. Angie: I hope your brother gets to visit you. I am hoping to go see my Dad and uncle next weekend. I love family and spending time with family. Rat: Stupid ole cold. Stupid ole TOM. I believe you gained 7 over night. I always do too. Maple: Woo hoo and congrats on -20 so far. Way to go hun. We went to yard sales this morning and my sil bought a desk for the room she will be staying in when she moves her and Joel, bless him, bought an ABlounger. lol. I told him if I give/loan him the money for it cause it's from my allowance, he has to promise to use it. He says he will. I know that I will give it a try too. I'll let you guys know how it is. lol. Tomorrow is church and then I'm hoping that we can go fishing but I think we will be staying home and bar b quing. SIL has interview on Monday and then leaves on Tuesday so it is a short visit this time. I'm hoping that on Thursday Joel will take off work at 11 a.m. and we can go see my parents down in Payette, about 6ish hours away for the weekend. I have a dogsitter all set up to stay here at our house. She loves my dogs and they love her. Hopefully it will all work out. Blessings all, Annie |
Well here I am crawling back again, ha. :) Dogpal... WOW I am amazed at you. Way to go!
My bad news, good news. Bad news... I gained my weight all back again plus some.. good news I have lost most of it again -- will have to see what my ticker says when this posts and see how far off I am LOL. Oops I guess I deleted my ticker so perhaps I will set a new one and start with what I weigh now. Later will try to read and catch up a bit with all of you and meet the newbies since I have been around. |
Welcome back Sue! Glad to see you. I love your avatar photo. You look wonderful.
Well, I'm having a nice time with SIL. We are off to church now. Have a wonderful Sunday. Blessings, Annie |
Thanks, Annie. I am so impressed with you... you look super! GREAT JOB! I am off to do my pool workout and then will come back in and try to catch up a bit with everyone. LOL not sure if I even remember how to make a ticker. <G>

morning peeps..
I find myself comming here often! I just love yall! Sue: WLCOME back!! I tooka peek at your blog? OMG Washington is a beautiful state! I have got to visit!!!! Annie: I am so glad you are having a wonderful time with SIL! I am sitting here planning out this weeks meals. I am tired of aimlessly walking the grocery store isles grabbing this and that to come home and not know what to cook. Since I start counting calories tomorrow I gott make sure that i have some easy things on hand. Trying to figure out calories is challenging for me. My cousin called me that lives in OKLAHOMA. SHE lives there and so does her 2 brothers and their families. She moved there about 2 years ago and I miss her terrible! Although I was close to all my cousins growing up, she was the one I shared most of my life with. We were more like sisters. She said that she has seriously been thinking about moving back. And her siblings have too. I really hope they move back. When they lived here they lived about 1 1/2 hours away, but we would visit often! I really hope they decide to move back. ;) It is flippin hot here today. 106!! I really wish I had a pool! You ladies have a great day. |
Another one crawling back
Hi Ladies,
This must be Old Home Week because here comes another old member. I had to re-register because I couldn't remember my old screen name. I was going strong last Spring. I had a rhythm and had incorporated the changes into my lifestyle at the time. Then, my life changed drastically. First I went on vacation, and upon my return I went from having one full-time position to two. I started a new job and juggled my business with the job and it all threw me into a tailspin. Most of the weight piled back on. Over the last year I have been reducing my schedule to a more manageable one, and while it's still crazy it isn't nearly as bad as it was. Also, I have been working my way back to a healthy lifestyle plan for about a month. Now I'm fully back on plan and in the zone. I can't believe I'm over 300 again but here I am. I'll be mostly a lurker as my schedule is heavy but I will be lurking and participating where I can. I have missed you and am so happy to see how many are working it and looking good. |
Battleax? Is that you? I hope so, you have been missed (if it's you). And it it's not, I am sure whoever you were, you were missed too. LOL
|
Yes, that's it! Battleax!
|
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH Battle - you have been missed - if you read past posts you will so how often you were missed. You will always be Battle to me.
Hugs, Carol |
Battle, Sue! Great to see ya again :)
Hugs to ya, Ratkity |
