300+ Weekly Thread #1209

WELCOME!!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't.

We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time.

Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.

I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.

If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.

Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. Happy Monday everyone!

Well I had a rough weekend, but today is a new day, a new week, and I'm moving on from things.

Got up this morning at 4:45am and I totally didn't want to get out of bed. I sat there and went "oh god...i don't want to walk. what if i do it tomorrow? Yeah I"ll start my routine tomorrow." Then I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, which woke me up haha. So, I went walking this morning for 55 minutes in a nice light rain hahaha. I was a bit damp when I got back in, but the walk was lovely. Now I'm just trying to get myself motivated to work. :P

Going to start my blog back up. I used to have one a long time ago and I loved it. I'm going to be working on that and my freelance site this week. :D Get 'er done as Annie said. Oh yeah! I'm still cleaning...god I have a lot to do. My apartment is a mess! Getting there, today I do some of the bathroom. WOO! :carrot:

I hope everyone is well. :D I got an aerobic work out later...woo! We'll see how far I get!

:hug::hug::hug::hug:

DCHound 05-04-2009 09:26 AM

Happy Monday everyone!

jennlovesnorcal 05-04-2009 11:02 AM

Welcome to Monday Ladies!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and those of us that went TOTALLY off the reservation (me!) use today as a fresh start to get back on track! I'm not sure why my TOM is beating me down so rough-n-tough, but besides wanting to eat the wallpaper off the walls this weekend, I had ZERO interest in any type of movement. Coulda been the rainy weather, but wow was I quite the l-a-z-y critter! So, I'm over it! Gonna haul my buns to the gym after work and make it a point to walk at lunch today.

Jacquie668~ You are just the inspiration I needed! I sooo feel you on the new week and leaving that rough weekend behind!

Wishing everyone a movement-packed-on-plan-all-go-no-quit-week!! :grouphug:

Jenn

Torister 05-04-2009 11:17 AM

ToniLight 05-04-2009 11:35 AM

I am starting my food journal again this morning. I have been putting that off for a long while.

dgramie 05-04-2009 12:05 PM

My BFF came on sat and spent the day...why do I always eat to much with her?? Then yesterday busy getting tuxes in and didnt eat or drink enough.

Debbie54 05-04-2009 12:09 PM

Just a quick fly by....

Good mornin'!

dogpal 05-04-2009 01:37 PM

Morning all,

Hugs to the strugglers. It wasn't the best weekend here either. Today is a new day and we shall overcome right? I am having my protein shake and getting some paperwork done before I sit down and read the word. I am going to write out a plan for this week of exercise. I haven't really done that in the past and hopefully having a checkoff type list will help me to do it.

Blessings all,

Annie

JuliaDH 05-04-2009 02:10 PM

Please pray for my friend Sally. She had a motorcycle accident yesterday. Had surgery today for broken pelvis.

CatherineM 05-04-2009 04:40 PM

Julia, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's accident. It sure has been a hard Spring for the FatChicks.

I think I'm going to go do some window shopping before my meeting tonight. We went from winter directly into summer. Even a couple of days of spring might have been nice.

Debbie54 05-04-2009 10:22 PM

Hi Ladies!

Catherine, Now is perfect for that swim since you have summer weather!

Juloa, hope your friend is going to be alright. Thoughts and prayers out to her.

Annie, thank you ! thank you!! for your order! Did you get your checklist for exercise done? Rain is here and very windy...how bout there?

Debi, how's the neighbor? Hope they're on the mend.

Hi Toni, Peggy, Jenn, Carol, Ratkity, Cyn, Jacquie, DCHound, and to all the lurkers!

I've got over 5000 steps in so far for today. Hopefully I will up them each day. Feels good to be moving again.
toodles

voodoo1 05-05-2009 04:24 AM

Hi everyone, had a great long weekend at my parents (We got there at 8pm Friday & got back at 7pm Monday night) but my hip was still hurting :(so I didn't get to walk on the beach or in the sand dunes. WE went to a couple of car boot sales & yard sales, I got a BEAUTIFUL jewellery box similar to one I already have (mine cost £40) it was £2.50!!!! I gave her £5 as it was for a cat's rescue centre, also got lots of toys for my sons, a cell phone for my mum & a pencil case thats a furry penguin (brand new) LOL!!! The car was FULL going home.
I saw the Educational psychologist who says Aiden ISN'T Autistic,:carrot: or if he is it's at the 'normal' end where everyone else is. He says Aiden's language/descriptive skill are VERY good,:carrot: he has the language and range an older child would use & the rest of his tests put Aiden in the average range, either upper or lower, depending on what it was he'd tested for (maths, English, understanding & predicting outcomes etc). So I've been :smug:VERY HAPPY :smug:& relieved about this, obviously, lol! Thank you all again for your kind words, it really makes a difference.
I'm going off the low carb diet I've been following, though I've taken all the vitamins & been eating TONS of veg I feel SO TIRED all the time & I should be feeling FAB, according to the book.:( Any advice?????? Should I try another low carb like South Beach, or calorie counting...ANY suggestions, (polite only,;) lol!!!)please???? xxxxxx
Torister, WELCOME BACK!!!! :hug:I think I forgot to say it as I was wrapped up in my own worries. You've done so well too!!!!!xxxxxxxx
Toni, ditto..lol!!! :hug:It's great to see you back, I was looking at the pics page the other week & saw you & wondered where you were, I was worried you might be 'off the diet waggon' it would have been such a shame as you've come so far.xxxxxxx
Julia hope your friend is getting the best care & she heals quickly.:hug:xxxxxxx
xxxxsharon

Morning Peeps - quick fly by. Can't wait for DH to get home - too much excitement. New fridge was leaking - fixed now. A neighbor filed a complaint about our small pile of construction trash - trash gone now and haven't heard from the inspector just that a complaint had been filed. Gracie the lab broke her tail and has to have it amputated (hate that the vet used that term). On the other hand it has been fairly peaceful with just the 3 of us - I'm much more productive when there isn't someone here to talk to. And my eating is easier as I don't worry about supplementing DH's plate which usually also ends up on mine. Gotta up my calories though - only 1200-1300 the last couple of days.

I'm off to work.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

dgramie 05-05-2009 07:47 AM

My neighbor passed away yesterday afternoon, so tonight will be visitation at our church. She will be greatly missed by our church and community and our neighborhood.
The garden is looking good. I worked in it for almost an hour and really worked up a good sweat yesterday. I plan on hitting it again today along with lots of walking. Planning on taking the kids to the playground today to play and I will walk while they play.
I bought new panties on sat..im pumped. I was able to wear a size 7.When I started my diet I was wearing size 12 and 13s. My daughters wear a 5 and they are in shock that mine are only 7s. Of course we wear different styles...LOL I will never be in a biniki pantie again!!!! LOL LOL LOL.
Got a guy coming today to give us an estimate on the work we have to get done on our house.WE had storm damage from the hail storm a few weeks back. We have to get a new roof and the house painted and new gutters. We are having some windows covered also, and some trim work done. WE are soooooooo excited!!!!!!!!We are thinking about going with a darker shade of green than what we have now.
well kids are here guess i better go and greet them.
hugs to all and drink your water today!!!

Jacquie668 05-05-2009 08:31 AM

Julia - I hope your friend will be okay. :/ I know how those kind of accidents can be. I had a friend a long time ago get into one, total his motorcycle, but he recovered after a long while. I'm sure he is back on his motorcycle today. *rolls eyes* lol.

Torister - Awesome on the 3 pounds! :D :D

Carol - Awww...poor Gracie. :( I hope she'll be okay.

Annie - I hope you had a good Monday. Yes, new day and new week! I'm trying to get over some left over feelings from the weekend, mostly I'm lacking friends and feel a bit lonely at times.

Planning out exercise, I think is a wonderful idea. I've never done that fully, but I should. Like today I'm sore and achey...this would be a perfect Yoga day. Plus it is really wet outside...not like I can go out walking in that today...it wasn't as wet yesterday!

dgramie - I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor friend. Awesome though for the size 7 :D!!!

Catherine - Where I am spring is here, but sometimes it still feels like winter. I feel like it is going to jump soon and be hot and miserable again. lol I miss blossoms and things...it is too wet for blossoms to flutter through the air. They just sort of...lay there all icky like. haha.

Sharon - Awesome news on your Aiden. :D That must feel really good! Totally celebrate! As for your diet, I'm not sure what kind of diet it is. Personally, I'm raw and vegan, lately I've been eating more cooked foods and carbs and feel sluggish and tired somewhat. When I eat veggies I feel great...I'm currently merging into raw food, which is a slow process for me. I will say that when I eat cooked veggies, I tend to not feel as good as when I eat raw veggies. That is just how my body works though. Is your body craving anything?

Debbie - Helloooooo :D :D :D

******

Well, I didn't get up today, but no worries I will tomorrow! 5am wake up call! lol. I pushed myself hard yesterday, today I can tell my body needs to just be for a bit. I shall push myself tomorrow though, with the goal that I do this every day if I can. I hear that you should have one day of rest though, but I kind of like the idea of being active every day.

This morning I'm fixing to go get something something to eat. I think a green smoothie, spinach, strawberry, banana. :D Easy...maybe I'll add some flax seed to it as well. Does the body good!

I'm trying to get a handle on my diet. it is difficult, mostly because of my apartment. It is really cramped and leaves me being frustrated. So, I'm working on ways to handle that with organization and proper planning. I love it when I eat raw foods, but my problem is it becomes boring to me to have salads every day. Preparing some foods just is too much, too time consuming. So, I'm working on ways to keep my interested with quick meals during the day and something more interesting in the evenings when I have the time.

:hug::hug::hug::carrot::carrot::carrot:

DCHound 05-05-2009 08:34 AM

Just a quick pop-in to say, as of this morning, I've lost 100 lbs! Only 100 more to go...but hey, I'm psyched. :) A Very Happy Tuesday to everyone!!

azcyn 05-05-2009 09:38 AM

morning all...

Julia: Hope your friend has a speedy recovery!

dgramie: I am sorry to hear about your rfiend passing. :( (huuuugs)

as for me: Now my youngest son has whatever I have. I do feel a little better today. BUT I took benadryl last night so in the am I feel a little better til it wears off. I am going to the dr today. I might call and have him seen as well. I hope that everyone starts feeling better soon. Hubby is coming home tomorrow!! I am sooo happy!

Torister 05-05-2009 10:48 AM

DCHound: That is AWESOME!!! You are at your halfway point. That is just great!! You are gonna make it!

Sharon: Have you had your thyroid checked? I have to say that the *only* time I am tired on Atkins is when my levels are off. Low carb is really working for me and I am loving all the salad and veggies I am eating. Its something to check into, especially if the plan is working otherwise.

Another early morning at the gym for me. I have to say, that 5:00 AM is the only time slot that works for me to get my exercise in...so off I go every morning!

NorCal Jen 05-05-2009 11:16 AM

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!!

DC Hound - yay!!! I'm so happy for you! What an accomplishment!!

As for me, I've been struggling since the weekend. I had a bit of a naughty weekend, and I haven't really recovered. Now, I'm set to go to San Diego tomorrow for 2 days with a girlfriend, and it's going to be real hard to stay on track. My other problem is getting out and getting exercise. It's been rainy and muggy here which makes it no fun. I tell myself every day that today is the day I will get out and take a walk or ride my bike, but then I get home and have to clean the kitchen, make dinner, feed the dogs, yada, yada, yada. Next thing I know, I'm pooped from the day and just want to relax. I know I should just get my butt up early in the morning and go for my walk and that would mean getting up at 5:30a, which equals, no fun. But it's for me, right? This is all for a better me, and I should do it if I really want it, right? Then why can't I? *sigh*

Anyhoot, thanks for listening to my rant. I hope everyone has a happy day!

~Jenny

DCHound 05-05-2009 11:38 AM

Jenny, what I had to do for myself is just make it not optional. There's no "skip the gym" option for me. It's go. So I go. (Well, almost always. Sometimes I have to go to Costco and return a blouse, or go to Comcast and exchange my non-working remote...but those times are rare.) Don't negotiate with yourself, just go! Just put on your tennies and walk! :)

Debbie54 05-05-2009 01:20 PM

Carol, glad to hear Ed will be home soon. Sorry about poor furbabie's tail. Ouch!! Ah, those pesky neighbors, gotta love 'em!

Debi, so sorry to hear about your neighbor.
I don't even know if I'm going to attempt a garden this year. It's been cold, windy and rainy still and can't even get out there on the tractor to make it bigger and more level without the tractor getting stuck in the mud. I have my seeds, but just don't know if I'll get them in the ground. Darn it!!

DCHound, :congrat: on the 100 lbs gone!!

Cyn glad to hear your hubby will be home too! But so sorry to hear your son has whatever you have now. Get better soon! Seems like you've been thru alot with your health the last couple of weeks. How's the crying binges going?

I walked over 6600 steps yesterday so at least I'm on the other side of 500 and closer to 10,000. I'll get there some day. Food was good and so was water so I'm just hoping I can keep it up. It 's such a battle but I know I'll reap the rewards in the end.
Have a great day!

dogpal 05-05-2009 01:30 PM

Good Morning all,

Julia: Hi girl I hope that Sally is doing well.

Debbie: Your very welcome for the Avon order. I really liked the smell of that new cologn. I normally don't buy perfumes ect. but that one smells like summer. I love the little lip stick things too. I did get my exercise list started but not done.

Sharon: I'm so happy that you got good news on your son. That is wonderful.

Carol: So so sorry about Gracie's tail. Poor baby and poor mamma. I'm glad that Ed will be coming home soon. Poo to your neighbors on complaining. They know that you are doing work and will get it out of the way ASAP. That is just mean.

Debi: I'm so sorry about your neighbor's passing. Hugs and prayers to you and her family.

Jacquie: I like having a plan. I am such a planer lol.

DC: wooo hooo on loosing 100 pounds. You are rockin it girl. Way to go!!!

Cyn: Glad that you are feeling better.

Jenny: Have a great trip in San Diego.

Well, I am having lunch with an old co-worker today. We are gonig to a Mexican restaurant for Cinco De' Mayo. I may just have salad. I'm not sure. What ever I have I will bring most of it home for Joel. That is how I always do it at restaurants. They serve wayyyyy too much for me. He will be happy. lol. I saw that Michaels has some flip flops on sale for $1 each. They are cheapy ones that you can decorate. I am thinking about getting a few pairs and decorating them for something to do. I am board, board, board.

I ended up bouncing on the trampoline for 45 minutes yesterday. I did it in 3 times. It sure takes my breath away. I thought it would be good exercise but I never imagined it would be such good cardio. I am thinking about buying the Jillian Michaels game for the Wii today. It is on sale at Target for $29.99. I have some left over birthday money and I really want it. I have been reading reviews of it and it says that it kicks your butt. I need a good butt kicking exercise. lol.

Well, If I get it and try it out I will let you guys know. I have my group meeting tonight at 5:30 so if I don't get back on before then I will chat with you all tomorrow.

Blessings and hugs,
Annie

ToniLight 05-05-2009 09:26 PM

Hello,
Thanks for all your well wishes and concern about my "diet wagon", it is still rolling along, just really slowly.
I am not doing much exercise these, days, my hip and back seem to be bad almost every day. Just walking my steps and doing my bike when the wind isn't going gale force.
I will be gone from Friday until Wednesday to Hope, Idaho to another quilting getaway. Hoping to have some fun and relaxation. (no one to take care of)

JuliaDH 05-06-2009 12:17 PM

Another room tackled and defeated! The boys room is clean and does not smell like dirty little boys anymore! They dont pay well tho. Only found 2cents on my journey thru the room! LOL.

DH has safety awards dinner on Saturday. I bought a new dress since the one I wanted to wear as a goal dress this spring still does not fit right. I think its more of an under garment issue than the dress. But its cheeper to buy a new dress than a proper bra with movable straps that wont be worn often. And the bonus is I now have to find some black sandles that I like.

Now I am off to take Emily to school then tackle the laundry that needs folding.

dogpal 05-06-2009 02:08 PM

Good Morning all,

Wow, so quiet around here.

Toni: I hope you have a great time at the quilting retreat. Sounds like fun and you do such wonderfully beautiful work!

Julia: Woo hoo a reason to buy shoes. lol. Have a blast and I hope you take some photos.

I had a great day yesterday and am hoping that despite the cold gloomy weather today will be a good one as well. I have been usuing the heck out of the trampoline and I tried out my new Jillian Michael's game for a tiny bit. It will kick my butt I think. Last night in group support we exercised with bands. They gave each of us a piece of rubber, like bands and we did all of the exercises together. It was fun and I loved that I could get on the floor and do everything they wanted us to do. Having a protein shake and then gonna get started on exercise for today.

Blessings all,
Annie

Haha look at me blame the dress instead of my body! LOL Its my body that needs the undergarment not the dress! :D:p:D

Just popping in to say hi!

I've only been on my diet for 3 days and I had to go work at my Uncle's restaurant today over the lunch hour. I thought I was going to crack, but I resisted the cake and buttery croissants and just had some roast beef, cottage cheese, and veggies! I really didn't think I could not eat bad while there and I proved myself wrong... I love that!

I was also bummed at the scale this morning. I know it's only been 3 days, but I thought I would be down more then 2 lbs. Oh well, keep truckin' along! :)

RealCdn 05-06-2009 05:33 PM

Well hello ladies, just thought I'd drop in and say hello. The semester is over and it's time to get back on track. Although everything was going well up to that point, April was a complete nightmare. Hard to believe how fast you can can weight when you're not paying attention. So I adjusted my ticker this morning (up-yikes) and off we go. I've actually been back on the straight and narrow for a couple of weeks, surprisingly I've already dropped some of the weight. Gee, you think. :)

School went very well (mid 90s average) and I'm really enjoying myself. In that all or nothing mentality of mine I admit that I put pretty much 100% of myself into it, which left time for little else. That's something I'll have to work on next year. So, I'm off for the summer, and looking for work. It's probably the worst time to be looking for work of course. On top of that, the Ontario gov't kicks back $2/hr to anyone hiring a student for the summer. Oh, did I mention that they have to be between 15-25 in age? I saw something recently that was adding more money to the program and widening the age range slightly... to 30. Big deal! If it's for students, it should be anyone who was enrolled and eligible for enrollment next fall, shouldn't it? Okay, rant over. :)

So, I really have little going on. I started walking with one of my neighbours but switched over to walking with my mother this week. The neighbour is too fast, my mother is too slow. It works out well though, as I jog away from her and then turn around and job back. It's good for me as I can control my heart rate a little better. That, and my mother is happy to have someone to walk with. She used to walk with the neighbour but couldn't keep up. I'm back to my strength training three days a week. Oh yes, and then there's the early garden work as well. I've just spent days cutting and sawing branches for firewood, and today I raised the surround stones on the vegetable patch. Last summer every time I watered I ended up with water all over the patio.

Oh, and we have a visitor in our backyard. A mama raccoon moved into our old change room / shed (our fault, we took the doors off the storage unit last fall) and had a litter of kits. We spent a few days trying to drive her out and then we decided we'd just leave her alone until the babies are bigger and then try again.

Wow, that was a long post considering I was just going to drop in a say hello. I'm going to try and keep up a little during the summer. I should find a little time unless I find work. Just adding a couple of personals before I go.

DCHound - congrats on the 100 pounds lost! It's also a great thing to get past the halfway point.

SmilesIowa -
congrats on eating a reasonable lunch. Just one thing though, please don't look for 'Biggest Loser' results. 2 pounds in 3 days is far more than most people see. Unrealistic expectations can really derail a diet fast. Trust me, we all know how it would be nice to lose the weight 'all at once', but those one and two pounds lost eventually add up to a very respectable loss. You will get to your goal in the end!

To everyone else, I hope things are going well. I'm looking forward to catching up in the next little while. Take care.

Welcome back, Anne! Join us on the exercise thread for more accountability!

Thanks Heather. I have started adding my exercise time for May. I don't usually count the garden work, but as I worked on moving stone edging on a garden bed today, I think I might consider counting that kind of stuff. It's not the usual kind of 'light gardening'. :)

HI Ladies,
Anne!! good to see you back. In the 90's is quite an accomplishment!! Love the pics of the mama and babies. So cute. Looks like she had quite a few.

Heather, I'm walking thruout the day (up to over 7000 steps) but don't really keep track of the minutes. Any suggestions?

Smiles, right now you are losing water weight so don't get down on yourself when the weight loss slows. Two pounds in 3 days is pretty good in my book! The main thing is that you started and you want to get healthy. It's a lifestyle change that you will struggle with and thats what we're here for is to help you thru it! These ladies are awesome!!

Annie, love the stretchy bands but mine fell apart from non-use and too close to a hot tv!!

Julia, happy dress hunting!!

As for me, I got on the Wii Fit again and opened the free step but it's too slow for me even on the highest setting so don't know if I'll keep up on that one. Maybe the jogging. Is there a free jogging one? If there is, I haven't been spending enough time on my Wii to open it...hmmm....
Staying OP and exercise and water!! WOOHOOOO!! I'm doing it!!! Just the weekend scares me because I know hubby will want to eat crap. I have to be strong and prepare myself for it.
toodles

Evening all...

ANNE: Welcome back!! YOu have been missed!!

Today Hubby came home! I was in tears seeing him standing on the sidewalk in the terminal looking to see when I would roll up! When he got in the car and gave me a kiss..it was so wonderful! I feel so safe with him. ;) The kids were happy their dad was home. Even Molly our pooch was happily wagging her tail! I did go to work today. I did ok. I still have a cough and runny nose and drainage, but didnt feel I needed to stay home again. The STAPH is closing and healing EXCEPT now where the tape was is red, irritated and has a few little blister type things. I am hoping that will go away.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT!! I love yall!

The week is almost done, but how is everyone? I don't get too much internet time but wanted to pop in and say hello. I am in the process of purchasing some exercise equiptment but now sure what it will be. DH is really wnating a treadmill, so thats more than likely what we'll get.

gggirls 05-07-2009 09:19 AM

Anne - how great to see you! The vibes I was sending you worked - I planted kiwi vine last week and you were in my thoughts. Glad things are going well for you.

DH is home - we are all happy for everyone to be back where they belong. I think the pups love their routine as much as I do. I'm happy to say Gracie's tail is improving some - she even tried to wag it at me.

My calories have been very low while DH was gone - not sure why. 1100 average and YES the scale is going up. Yesterday got me back on track with a more sensible calorie intake. My trainer did a great new weight bar routine on Tuesday - I can hardly move today - she is so good at mixing it up. Can't wait to see what she has for us tonight.

I'm off today - time to dress shop again for a wedding in a few weeks. It may be too much to hope but I found one online that is only available in the store - largest size is 16. Hey - I'll try and see.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs to all,
Carol

GGG= thanks for the reminder. I had bought a dress and been saving it for dd graduation next weekend.Guess its time to drag it out and see if it fits. Last fall it was SKIN tight on my hips. I was soooooooo hoping to be the 100lb mark by her graduation but now im hoping to get to 95lbs mark.

I had a girl from church come up to me at the visitation the other night and say..I know we sit on the same pew every sunday but are you losing weight?? Then she stuttered and said well we know you are losing weight but how much have you lost and how in the heck are you doing it. It was the best comment i have had in awhile. Just made my day!!

The sun is starting to shine here today. I cant wait to get outside and feel it!!
hugs to all!!

Hello ladies!
I'm back...have no idea how long I've been gone! I must have not logged in since March :/ I have been so distracted lately with my school work and my social life has been improving a lot :) So I apologise for not keeping you lovely ladies posted!

Now, onto the diet bit. I haven't exactly progressed as I've been too busy with school work so I didn't care about what food I ate and I gave up exercise altogether :/ Thankfully, I'm not back to my old weight but I did keep losing and gaining between seven and fourteen pounds. My body shape hasn't changed as I'm still a size 18/20 so I'm well happy :)

It's my 18th birthday in two weeks so I'm panicking because I haven't made any real progress so I've remembered you lovely ladies and came back here for some much-needed support! I hope to lose fourteen pounds by my birthday by exercising for 60 minutes a day and eat more healthily and everything else in moderation. I'm still busy with my school work and I've got exams next month but I'll have to make time for exercise and preparing healthy food otherwise I'd just burn out with revising and that's not good because I've been missing too much lessons in school.

So here I am :)
Just wanted to say a big HELLO to old friends and new chicks here!

Beth
xx

Hi Beth, Welcome back!!

Carol, glad to hear that Gracie is trying to move her poor tail.

Debi, nothing better than someone noticing the change in your body! Keep up the good work.

Well, the scale is just not moving. I know I shouldn't expect much but not even an ounce. Maybe I'm retaining water? I'll just keep pluggin' away.
Hope you all have a great day!
Debbie

Just checking in real quick. Still staying on track and eating on plan. I am going away to an event tommorrow and staying over and not coming home until Saturday night. I will be active, but I will not get my official "workout" in. Its a busy time of year and I am going to have to be all right with getting to the gym 5 days a week instead of my usual 6. I like 1 day off. ;)

A friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a month said she didn't even recognize me when she saw me with my puppy approaching her. I will take that compliment! My co-worker told me that pretty soon my pants would be around my ankles (sooo NOT true!) and said that it looked like my hard work was really showing. YEAH! It keeps me going on the weeks when the lbs or inches are not moving.

Have a great day! :)

Good Afternoon all,

I have been floating around here in a daze today. I will share with you guys more later this week as things unfold or not.

Beth: Hi honey. Welcome back. Glad to see you and don't let life get you too stressed out to take care of you.

Debi: What a great NSV! Wonderful. It does feel good when others notice our hard work.

Carol: Glad that Ed is home and especially glad that Gracie is doing okay. Joel and I have been praying for her to do well. Good luck finding the perfect dress. I'm sure no matter what dress you find you will be a real beauty!

Smiles: Welcome. Glad to have you here. Congrats on the -2 and on all the healthy food choices you made at the restaurant.

Anne: Welcome back. Sounds like you are doing fantastic in school. Never had a doubt you wouldn't. It sure will be nice to see you around here more. I have miss you.

Cyn: Glad the your hubby is home and you are healing.

Debbie: I got the Jillian Michaels game for the wii and you use the fitt for it too. It is very fun but very tough. Have a blast while you exercise.

Well, that is about it for now. I need to go and get my mind on something else for a while.

blessings and hugs,
Annie
