Happy Almost-Friday Ladies!! :D
Keeping my fingers crossed for an on-plan weekend! We have a dinner with the hubby's family Saturday night and the potential for falling off the wagon is sooo there! It's usually a very long, loud affair with tons of food and LOTS of desserts. Feeling a little worried, but talking myself out of a case of the "just-one-meal-won't-hurts" cuz I know what a lie that is to myself. Please send me your willpower vibes!! :woohoo: Ratkity~ Big hugs!! Hope the new boss is a better fit and your feeling better about you!:hug: Debbie54~ Hope the Avon picks up for ya! Wish you were out my way, I love Avon and my Avon lady is SO rude.:?: I've actually stopped ordering anything! Kaylee~ :welcome2: I'm new too and look forward to getting to know ya!! Wishing everyone a 1st-of-May-incredible-day :dancer: Jenn |
Happy May Day Peeps!
What will May bring you? April was a good month for me. I look forward to the spring showers ending to bring on the May flowers. I'm ready to be outside. April exercise was 1631 minutes for me and a release of 4.75 pounds (yes - sloooooow releaser). I will take measurements today and believe I will see some substantial changes there - the compliments are coming frequently right now and my clothes are fitting different too. Time to try on those "tight" jeans - can't say skinny jeans. The beginning of each month is a great time for me to review the previous and look toward the new month - what can I do to be better at the end of the month than I am now. Rat - missed ya! Been stirring the invisible comments around - I know when you are invisible to me something is missing. Love ya. Catherine - enjoy the pool today. I know it will be somewhat bittersweet for you - work it like your favorite instructor was there pushing you. Annie - hi girlfriend. I wish you were here - DH is gone for a week and I want to get the whole house reorganized while he is gone. It is a bit of a challenge though because the tile project is dragging on. They should have been done on Wednesday and I bet it will be Tuesday of next week by the time they are done. I'm also missing him - this is the longest we've been apart and tomorrow is our anniversary. Julia - ok - I think it has been years since I scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees but may just do it. After reading your post I recalled how clean I felt like the floor was after doing it that way. Mom used to have us scrub the woodwork every Saturday - I won't tell you how many Saturdays have passed since mine has been scrubbed. Any bike riding in your weekend? All the kiddos past the pox? Hugs my friend. Zelma - how is your brother? My best friend had AML - my prayers are with you all. Are the results back from the bone marrow testing on the siblings? Debbie - how goes it? Have you been to the tulip gardens - I remember your pics from last year - it was beautiful! Hope you are able to enjoy some of the glory of the season. Hugs to each of you - time for me to get moving. I'm thinking of each and every one of you even if I didn't personally mention you. I read every word and gain support - THANK YOU. Carol |
So glad its Friday!!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am heading out to the Y but just wanted to drop in and say hello :)
|
Just a flyby, but shoot since I have been MIA for so long that something is better than nothing! I have been reading daily, but never seem to find time to respond to everyone! Hopefully life will slow down a bit soon and I can have a little bit more *me* time! We shall see........
I have been exercising daily (cardio and weight training) and I feel great. I am also staying OP with the diet portion of getting me healthy this year. All I can say after this week is TGIF!!!!!!!! Take care all........ |
Hi all,
Not a lot of time to post (at work)...but wanted to report I am pretty happy with April. I lost over 10 pounds (11.4 to be exact) and I am now a total of 10 BMI units lower than I started. That makes me pretty happy. I am walking an average of 9500 steps a day (darn it, not quite 10000). Most days I sneak in a 4 mile walk, either broken into two or all at once. TOM is here this week and I have been insanely hungry, so not really losing right now. But I am feeling like I have some momentum. Of course that only lasts until it's gone. Hehe Later, Angie |
Whoo Hooo Its FRIDAY!
DS#1 going on camping survival trip with army cadets. DS#2 back at school and is healing well from chicken pox DD is driving me crazy all she wants to do is eat and play outside. And is bug bugg bugging...moving into the nagging catagory! Plans for the weekend are to finish working up the gardens at church. We have had lots of perennials donated so DH and I can get some of that planted. DS#2 Has baseball practice which is nice its on Sat so that DH will actually be able to see him play as all the games are on week nights and is rarely home (glad that trucking is getting alittle busier again). And if we get some rain free weather we will definately be out on our bikes. I have looked into some counseling. Will be making some calls early next week to get a feel for them. Jenn dont throw stones at your house. That will just make more mess  Angie - saw that you are on the step threat for keeping track. How do you like it over there? I was thinking of posting and keeping track too. |
Oh yah I sucked it up this morning and got that blood work done that I was to do last fall! Now I am dreading results. The eye doc already told me last week I have the start of a cataract. Not uncommon & typical when you look at my family history. But I really dont want more bad news!
I am pleased with exceeding my exercise goal for April. Really would like to poundage to drop off too! I have been up and down all month. Praying I have more success in May! |
Annie, so glad to hear that you're doing better. It sucks when you go and type everything out and then Whoosh!!. it's gone. How's the hammock swinging?
Kaylee, :welcome: Can't wait to get to know you better! Jenn, weeeellllllllll, you can actually order from my personal website and have it delivered directly to your house if you're interested. Right now if you order at least $30 worth, you get free shipping. Just PM me for my website. I'd be happy to help you with any questions or orders. I sure hope business picks up too. So far, I'm my biggest customer!!! LOL Carol, yes, we went to the tulip gardens...but they were all closed up still!! The weather has been chilly and they didn't want to open up but they are in full bloom now. It's just beautiful. We have tons of daffodils too!! So pretty. For some reason tulips have been popping up in our big field and we don't plant anything out there. So weird! When you get done with your house, come on over!! Plenty to do here too. Stop and pick up Annie on the way! Peggy, sounds like you are in the zone! Keep up the good work. Don't let TOM getcha down. Angie, you did great on weight loss last month. :woohoo: Julia, sounds like you have a very busy weekend. That's great that hubby will be able to see the game. I know it means so much for the kids to have their parents there. I used to we a T-ball coach and the kid's faces sure fell when the parents didn't show. Good for you on the exercise for last month. Hope your results come back with positive results. Today we are going to go put out some more flyers for Avon and then come home and shampoo the carpets. They sure need it badly after my furbaby Sadie comes back in from tromping thru the mud and the gunk. Today we are suppose to be in the 70's YAY!! but then back to rain off and on for the next week. Tomorrow is the opening for boat season but it's going to be rainy but that's pretty typical for here. Gotta clean out two more flower beds too. Hope everyone is having a great Friday! |
Got 1400 min of exercise in April. Lost 2" off hips and chest and half inch off my waist.I know its all because of the exercise.Weight loss is still slow, but Im happy!!
A friend had a major heart attack last night and isnt doing good at all. Please keep her in your prayers and her husband. Its really touch and go right now with her. hugs to all |
Debi - Congrats on the 2" gone and praying for your friend.
Debbie - I need to do my rugs too. Ugh. I do them and the kids muck them up fast! |
Good Evening all,
Kaylee: Welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. All the ladies here are wonderful. I adore each of them. Carol: Woo hooo to the progress you made in April. I'm so proud of you. I myself have pretty much stayed the same. I will do better in May. I have started May off with a 8-10 mile bike ride. So that is a great start. Happy anniversary. I'm so sorry that you are missing Ed. I'm even more sorry that you won't be together on your anniversary but, a wonderful marriage like yours it's a celebration most days. Hugs. Erin: Hi there. Peggy: Hi Angie: Congrats on getting rid of over 10 pounds in April. Fantastic job. I'm impressed by your walking almost 4 miles most days. Wonderful accomplishment. Julia: I hope your weekend is sunny and warm so you can get all of your outside things done.Way to go on contacting a counselor. I still need to connect with one. Hopefully I will make it a priority next week. Debbie: Funny hammock story. I was sitting on the edge of it and called one of my dogs up, Bear, the male. He weighs around 100 pounds and he was sitting there with me relaxing and suddenly he jumped off and I flipped over and landed on my behind. I didn't get hurt but it sure surprised me that him moving so quickly landed me on my butt. lol. Can you please Pm me. I want to order some Avon from you if I can do it and have it delivered here to my house. Debi: Woo hoo for the inches you lost. Way to go. I will be prayining for your fiiend. Hugs. Well, DH is outside weed eating the yards. It is nice and sunny today and should be tomorrow as well with rain coming on Sunday and staying. It is time for the first mow job of the year and mowing is my job after he weed eats and trims so, I better go. I am looking forward to it and consder I will be walking since it isn't something I normally do. A nice addition to my bike ride, weights lifting, sit ups and push ups today. If we get it all done after Joel gets home from Men's breakfast at church tomorrow maybe he will take me fishing. Blessings all, Annie |
HOOORRRAAAYYY.. Happy Friday Ladies!!
It has been the longest week ever and as much as I am not looking forward to dinner with the in-laws, I am happy for the 48 hour parole from work tee-hee!! TOM is circling the runway and after snarking at everyone in my family, (including the dogs!) I took a tip from Julia and scrubbed my floors Cinderella-style!! I must say, my house is finally clean, my arms have the soreness of the well used and I found my youngest's missing library book! :cheer2: Hey does this count as fitness minutes?! Everyone have a great weekend and if your in my neck of the woods, try to stay dry! Jenn |
I didn't make it to the pool. I went walking instead. I'm not sure, but I think I'm so depressed about my instructor, that I just couldn't bear to go.
