300+ Weekly Thread #1201
WELCOME!! We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs. We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't. We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time. Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out. We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us. I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out. If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site. Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker. There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!! |
Morning! I posted this last night, but thought it was worth repeating:
________________________________________ I'm reading everything, but don't always have time to post. I'd LOVE to get more of you posting on the exercise thread, however. We are trying to meet a really tough goal of more than 205,000 min exercised for the year. We are going to need to be focused to do it! So, if you want to be a part of something bigger than you, post the number of minutes you exercise and add them to our ongoing total. That's it! (Well, you gotta do the exercise!) And then we'll all watch 'em grow! EVERYONE NOT ONLY INVITED AND WELCOMED but NEEDED. See the exercise thread sticky at the top of the forum! |
Hellooooo everyone.
Well it was a nutty weekend for me. Friday I had to go to a family thing and my five year old nephew had his birthday on the same day. So, I got some balloons, made the family blow them up and hang them up with a little banner, then I made cupcakes and ice cream cone cupcakes for the kids. I decorated them with candy and gummy worms, and other sprinkle type things. They loved em, I avoided them lol. I basically cooked everything lol. Made an adult dessert, raw food tart, blah blah. It was fun, but exhausting as I didn't get home until 1am. So, I was a zombie on Saturday. TOM is leaving me finally. I've gained a few pounds dealing with the monthly thing, maybe 2 or 3? I'm not sure yet. I'll weigh myself in a few days. I'm taking antibiotics so maybe I'm retaining more water, not sure. Anyhow, I have doctor appointments to make this week and well just getting back into the usual eating well and exercise thing. :D Hope everyone is well! :D *supportive hugs* |
OK ~ I posted on the exercise thread. I worked out 330 minutes last week! No wonder my dogs aren't speaking to me!! I am losing almost 2 hours each night when you consider I have to change, get myself down there, get myself back home, take a shower, etc. But I already can tell a difference in how I feel. My hamstrings are killing me but it's the good kind of pain!
Happy Monday everyone!! |
Hi everyone!
I'll be back for personals later, but I just posted some progress pictures and wanted to put the link here . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166411 Have a great day . . . see you later! |
Hello all! Hope you all had a great weekend! I know I did! :) And I'm happy to report that almost all the weight I gained due to TOM is just about gone, so I'm double happy. Haha. Now for those numbers to keep going down.....
I'm off to the gym! Have a great Monday all! I'm on Spring Break! Yay! :) lol. |

Hi Ladies!'
The results are in! |
Annie-I’m not surprised you have been so busy. With the way things are now, I suspect you are in a growth industry.
Rat-I saw a show with several people who had regained after WLS. It was so sad. I don’t think it is the easy way out that some people do. You have to deal with the same demons, you just have to deal with them lots quicker. The weight gain is a symptom, and if we don’t deal with the underlying illness, neither path will lead to permanent solutions. Angie-You are always welcome. We all skin our knees. The trick is to always get back up and try again. Carol-Been eating lots of fish. Lent is awful hard on me because I really hate fish. Brandnew-I so totally understand about looking forward to getting up after being down with an injury. I had too much salt yesterday too, and I feel like I’m wearing those ankle weights. Heather-I’m not allowed to go to the pool tomorrow because it’s going to be -35 so God only knows what in wind chill. If it warms up about -20 tomorrow afternoon, I’ll go for a walk and record my minutes. I promise. I want spring to come NOW. I want to play golf, I want to walk down the street without fearing for my life. I guess I need to get a Wii or some kind of video exercise. |
morning ladies...
Heather: I remembered to log my min!! Although they are small they still count lol Kayley: Congrats on getting rid of the TOM weight! Today I gotta go into work a little early because I am not carpooling YEAH!!!! |
Hello ladies. I have been MIA cause i had a huge fight with the cable co, and they turned it off so i had no internet... finally got it sorted, and i was right btw lol... so im back.
I have had a really good week. Hubby and I found out that we will be able to move back to the states sometime in the next 4-8 months, and im so excited i cant see straight. i like england and the people here are great, but as the old saying goes, 'there's no place like home'. I havnt slept in about 3 days cause im too excited to sleep lol.. kinda like a kid at xmas. I lay in bed and think about all the things i will be able to do in the states that i just took for granted before.. nothing major, but things you miss when you dont have em anymore lol... i havnt been doing too well on my eating /exercise plan as of late, but i have New incentive now.. i want to drop as much weight as i can and get as healthy as i can before i get home. One of my best friends in oregon lost 90lbs in the last 9 months from doing nothing but walking.. she didnt change her eating habits much, but her car broke down so she had to walk Everywhere and she looks wonderful in the pics she posted on myspace. it goes to show if you Move and watch what you eat if only a lil you will lose weight. im sooo happy for her. That has been my biggest issue living in england, is the lack of walking. we live about 10 miles from town, so at my size, no hope of walking there... and it rains here most days... even thru the summer..i do have a stationary bike that has been collecting dust, so im gonna clean her up and give her a go lol... we also have stairs in the house i can walk up and down so ill give that a go as well for my exercise regime... id like to get fit enough to be able to do the tabata(sp?) squats.. i know im daft, but it looks fun:) well i'll close for now, but im making a commitment to post here daily as it helps so much . i hope youre all doing well and winning the war on unhealthy habits and flab:) |
Hello all! Made it to the gym yesterday, and I'm definitely feeling it today, but I'm heading there shortly. My legs are pretty sore, so I'm not sure if I'll be doing cardio today, but if I don't, I'll at least get in my strength training.
Yay! Biggest Loser tonight! I've been anxious to see the results from last week's show. I hope they lost enough weight, so that no one gets eliminated. Have a GREAT Tuesday, all! Keep moving! Americaninuk - Welcome back! Congrats to your friend, that's fabulous! And what motivation! You can do this! Looking forward to seeing you around here more. This place is GREAT for accountability! |
Kayley, my 'diet' isn't much different to SB, I remember you losing a LOT on it, just hope I can do the same! WTG on TOM gain almost gone, what a pain it is!!!xxxxxxx
Americaninuk, where are you in the UK? How is the packing going or will you just take a few things with you? I bet it will take months to get your stuff to you in the US if it goes by ship, by plane I know it can be a lot. Good luck, I find it bad enough just moving five minutes down the road!!xxxxxxxxx Annie, hope the interview/work goes well & you feel 'well' again very soon.xxxxxxx Ria/merksie WOWEEE your pics are great, your tummy is so much smaller now, ditto your bottom!!! Good for you!xxxxxxxxx (ps I AM jealous, lol!!) Ammi & Beth WHERE ARE YOU BOTH????? Did you get the bathroom sorted out?xxxxxxxx Catherine at least you know what to expect, one minute here the sun is shining & it's warm, the next it's raining then SNOWING!!!! In March!!!! I had three lines of washing almost dry, fetched the boys from school & it rained then snowed.... Hope it warms up soon for you.xxxxxx Well I did a post this am but lost it somehow, pop-up-blocker did it I think. I'm doing ok on v.low carb foods but feel a bit weird at times, really NEEDING bread/carbs but sticking with it, at least I can eat cheese..mmmm Loving the green leafy salads with everything & the bacon, mushroom & egg breakfasts!!! No booze though!! It is doing me good, my skin is glowing (almost, lol) and my IBS is gone. Has bad time with oldest son AGAIN!!! He said some horrible things, just wish he'd leave, he's a bad influence on his little brothers. Anyway, hugsxxxxxx xxxxxsharon |
Sharon- So, were your clothes freeze dried when you got home, or just a cold wet mess?
Cyn-carpooling has got to be a hassle. I hope you at least like the people you pool with. AmericaninUK-I’ve heard of other people who basically started walking and lost weight. I think that the obesity epidemic started when the car culture did. Kayley-When you muscles hurt like that after exercise remember to drink lots of water. It can help the lactic acid work its way out Well I’m glad that I didn’t try to go to the pool. It ended up being -57C this morning. That’s -70.6F. I can’t describe to you how cold that is unless you have experienced it. My husband said he could see his breath inside the Starbucks down the street. He had to sit with his feet on a heating pad when he got home. |
my friend that lost weight mainly thru walking called this evening. i asked her if she gave up any of her fave foods etc... she said she would still have her dutch bro's coffee every am( kinda like starbucks, but mainly in northwest).. she still ate everything she wanted and as much as usual, but didnt drink soda and walked about 5 miles per day... talk about motivation...
voodoo1- i dont have that much here in the uk really to bring home.. we have been staying with my hubbys parents to save money to move home, so all the furniture etc is theirs. i will be selling all our dvd's at a car boot before we leave as they are the wrong region for the states.. hubby had thought about bringing a dvd player from here nd all the dvd's, but i reminded him we dont use scart leads in america.. only coax... at least everywhere i have lived over there ( about 10 states lol)... so that wont really work either. as for the linens etc, they are all his parents .. mainly i will bring one suitcase of clothes and my important papers, and one suitcase of souveniers and gifts for family. i am so excited i could be packed and at manchester airport in 2 hours if needed lol... had a good day today. stayed on plan.. didnt get in as much exercise as i would have liked, but im so out of shape its a slow start.. i plan on adding 5 mins at least each day till i get around 2 hours of exercise per day.. hope things are going well for all of you... |
ACK Catherine!! That's c.c...c.ccold. You know it's cold when.... they give the temperature in the number of seconds it takes to get frostbite on your exposed skin.
bb.bbbbburrrr! Luv, Rat |
Hi all,
Thanks for taking me back. :) Things here are just busy. And busy in a good way. But, I am struggling with finding/making time exercise. Brian and I went on a short hike this weekend, and it had some elevation to it and therefore kicked our butts. I still need to get my exercise in more consistently. I am eating better (yay) but still need to kick up the exercise. I am thinking I will try to work from 7am until 6pm, come home, eat, walk for an hour, then work until....9pm? I am not sure how long I can sustain that. I guess we will see. Or I will keep making excuses for not getting my exercise in. I am DETERMINED to get under 300 by the end of March. Rat - I am so happy to see you! Yay, you are back. You were missed! Everyone else....so good to see you all again! I hope to try to stop in multiple times a week. Later taters, Angie |
So, I’ve been wanting to get my nose pierced since I was about 16. I’m an incredibly big wuss when it comes to pain, but I finally just did it, and got it pierced today! Yay. :] I love it! And it didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it was going to.
Went out for lunch with my friend, since she got a piercing, too. We got some Subway, which I love, and totally on my diet. And now I’m just watching The Biggest Loser that I DVR-ed earlier. Got in a good workout at the gym again today. My stamina is building again. Feeling good! Hope you all had a great day! Sharon – Good luck! Yes, I lost about 75 lbs total in around 5 months, but unfortunately, that wasn’t a lifestyle I could stick with forever, so now it’s slow & steady with Weight Watchers. Heh. I have a feeling you’re going to melt that weight off mighty fast, lady! :] Catherine – I definitely up my water intake at the gym and at home after a good workout. I usually drink between 80 & 100 oz. every day. Americaninuk – Ditching the soda DEFINITELY helps. I allow myself one Diet Mountain Dew a day, only if I’ve had at least my minimum water for the day. Angie – You can do it! I know getting exercise in is so much easier once Spring & Summer hits for me. Hopefully, it’ll be the same for you. |
I did it!! I finally used the gym in the basement.ITs weilder machine and it works different things on each side of the machine. I just hate doing it alone...hubby use to do it with me. I am not able to do a few of the steps alone so i just skipped them. I then came up stairs and used 4lb hand weights while watching tv. I also got in 10 min of floor exercises. I am sore this morning but its a good sore.
I logged my min... Eating has been good this week!! Scales are slowly inching their way back down. I feel good and have already noticed an increase in my energy again.I think its partly the weather also...we hit 79 and full sun yesterday. It was awesome...but a little windy.I had the boys outside to play for over an hour and my cheeks and arms got some color. I am going to use hand weights daily for my upper arms...they are so flabby that they were flapping in the wind....NO JOKE!! hugs to all and drink your water!! |
Kayley did the do it with the gun they they use for ears? I had mine done at 18, I'm 44 now, it was less painful AND never got inflamed like my ears either. Just think in a few weeks you can go 'nose-ring shopping' lol!;) Now they do special nose studs, but years ago I wore a normal stud to which I lost the back (thought it fell out) when I blew my nose TMI ALERT it was in my hanky!! ick.. so be careful what you put in your nose, lol!!! I tend to wear tiny sleepers, I have Celtic style ones, coloured enamel ones & plain ones. Have fun buying some!xxxxxxxx
Catherine, yep wet, very wet cold clothes. I can't even IMAGINE how cold your temps are, why didn't you get him to move to Florida?? ;)lol Stay warm & safe, both of you.xxxxxxx Went for a walk into town today, made myself get breathless & warm, got essentials & walked home as fast as I could. Still OP even though Tiga(dog) had a fit the other day & it looked like he wouldn't last much longer, it has been very upsetting & the vet was useless. At least he is eating again & barked at the hoover (he always wants me to chase him with it) so I'm hoping he is on the mend. At 13 I know he is doing well for a Staffordshire bull terrier, but to see him fitting & then wetting the floor unable to get up made me feel terrible all day. I am NOT letting it stop me losing weight; at the mo I'm feeling positive about it, just hope I can MAINTAIN this feeling, or at least bottle it for when I'm fed up. xxxxxxxxxsharon:hug: |
Kayleystar- i put my soda and food consumption in daily plate the other day and i ingested a full 3800 cals and most of it was soda lol...no wonder i got so big.. the last couple days since giving up the soda, i hve been eating normal but struggling to get to 1500 cals per day..and code red mountain dew.. omg i love that stuff and havnt had any in almost 3 years... that will be my biggest prob when i get back to the states.. im gonna wanna eat and drink all the things i havnt been able to get over here lol
i have been doing well the last couple days with my food and exercise.. not as good on the exercise as i would like, but its a start. it's amazing how when you dont use muscles for a while the way they go to hades in a handbasket lol...i got on my stationary bike yesterday and after just two mins the tops of my thighs were burning lol.. i stayed 30 mins tho and today i can really feel it. when i get off the pc im gonna go for a walk and hopefully i can do at least a half hour at that. i watched a television show last night we have here called superskinny vs supersize.. i dont know if ya have it in the states or not.. anyhow, last night there was a woman on there that weighed 20 stone... when she left the house she went on 2500 cals per day per the dr's instruction and she lost over a stone in 12 weeks... so with my 1300-1500 and exercise im really hoping i lose something. with my luck ill be one of those that isnt eating enough so ill hang onto the fat.. if that happens i figured i could drink some slimfast or something to make up some cals and also give me some nutrients. my biggest problem with eating is i dont sleep at night.. too much on my mind, so i fall asleep about 5am and get up around 11am.. i cant eat when i wake up so i have to wait till noon or so and then i have a couple hard boiled eggs on dry toast or something like it... hubby gets home at 4 30pm so i make dinner then and eat about 800 cals for dinner... i dont get hungry thru the night(weird huh?) so i dont eat again till breakfast the next afternoon... i do most of my exercising at night cause im awake and theres no one about to 'watch it wiggle, see it jiggle', and that staves off my hunger during the night. oh well, im rambling, so time to close lol... hope everyone is having a good day:hug: |
Morning ladies...
Catherine: The girl I carpool with is a friend of mine. BUT she is a very negative person. AND until I stopped being so negative I didnt notice how bad it was. Our car drive to work is about 45 min. So I spend 45 min ride with her..the whole 8 1/2 hour shift with her cause we work in the same office of 4 people...and 45 min home! Some days are good..but most days are not. If I didnt "have" to carpool I would not lol Americaninuk: I am soo happy you get to come HOME soon. My brother in law and his wife live in England somewhere and they love it. They now have a son and plan on staying there forever I think. As for me: I am not sleeping well at all. I also have been staying up late..again don't know why. So about 1/2 way through my work day I am ready for a nap lol. |
Good morning, all! I think the gym is really helping, as I hopped on the scale this morning, not for an official weigh in, but just to see, and the numbers were good! :] I’m getting very excited, as I leave for St. Louis to visit my friend on Friday!! She’s mentioned about how we’re getting pizza on Friday night, so I’m definitely going to take precaution, and make sure I get a salad or something, so I’m not tempted. I’m doing well right now, and I don’t want to blow it on this long weekend! I need to buy some healthy snacks for traveling sometime tomorrow, and get packed.
Well, I’m off to lunch with my Mom. We’re going to a great salad bar that we love. Then, off to the gym. Have a great day, all!! Dgramie – Keep it up!!! Great work! :] Sharon – They used a hollow needle to pierce it. They had this like…receiving tube in my nose that the needle went into once the hole was made, and then they were able to put in the jewelry. I got a small green stud for now, since that has less chance to get pulled out and whatnot than a hoop. I’ve always wanted a small star stud for my nose, so once it’s healed properly, I’m going to buy some new jewelry for it. The guy told me it’d be 6-8 weeks before I can change it, though. And there’s no back to this stud…it metal bends inside my nose, so it kind of screws into your nose, so it has little chance of coming out. Oh, it’s sore this morning! Hopefully the pain will go away within a week or so! Sounds like your pooch is a fighter! I hope he feels better, and it back to his old self soon! Americaninuk – I, too, love Code Red Mountain Dew! But I just stay away from it. It can be hard. But if I really want some soda, I’m so used to diet, that it’s no biggie now. Hopefully you can adjust to that. Makes it much easier. I haven’t heard of that show, before, but it’s definitely inspiring! You can do it! Cyn – I hope you get some good sleep soon! That can be such a hindrance on weight loss. |
Having a bad day...PMSing but refuse to let it derail me!!!
|
Sharon-He wouldn’t have been able to get health care in Florida, and his meds are $1200/month. I would have had trouble qualifying to sponsor him in the US because my income is low to begin with. Canada waves minimum income for spouses. We didn’t really have a choice. Don’t get me wrong, I love Edmonton. It recently destroyed my 15+ year old baby-G watch though. The cold finally dustified the O-ring. I’m getting a Mudman for my birthday. It’s good to -20. That means against your skin you can wear it out in -60. We’ll see. With my brain injury I have to have 5 daily alarms to remind me about meetings and things. It’s like a security blanket on my wrist.
Cyn-I definitely understand about negative people. When I was kind of out of it, I didn’t notice that so much. Now, I just can’t stand to be around negative people. It’s like being sucked dry. Kayley-I have asked before at pizza places I had to be at to leave the cheese off, and go easy on the oil. They had no problem with it. I got a pizza piled high with veggies instead, and put a little Parm on top. I did not get my walk in yesterday as we hit all time lows, and in Edmonton that’s saying something. It’s starting to warm up right now as the, whatever it was, has passed. We may even get above zero tomorrow. We’re going to walk tonight, and got to the pool in the morning. Thank heavens, because I’m stiff as a board. |
Hiya Peeps - things going well here - exercise is back - trying to increase it one additional day a week. Last week I did 2 - gonna do at least 3 this week. I'm looking forward to getting back to 6 days. Not sure why I'm going so slow but it's better than nothing.
Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE. hugs, Carol |
azcyn- it could take up to 8 months till i get home, but there is 'light' at the end of the tunnel finally.. im so excited:)
well, in two days i have lost 2 lbs by just giving up soda and exercising a bit...im happy its working and im losing but kinda sad that i proved to myself soda is so bad for weight gain.. i knew it was , but with proof i cant have anymore lol...it's like my best friend lmao. went for a walk at 3am..couldnt sleep so i just walked around our cul de sac for 20 mins.. pretty safe and actually quite nice.. no one about, birds singin.. hope you all have a good day:hug: |
Well I just had kedgeree for 'brunch' finely chopped cauliflower was a substitute for rice the recipe said...ICK I feel quite ill, cauli in NO WAY is like rice!!!!:( Still weigh-in tomorrow so I'll hang in there, though I have to admit the satay pork & salad last night was divine,:) my son & his gf had some & loved it too. The fact is that a nibble of cheese or nuts for snacks is keeping me on the straight & narrow, though it's only a week of the way of eating.
Kayley, ooh a green stud, was you worried it might be mistaken for something else? lol!!!!;) Sounds nice really. So it was a 'proper' piercing then, like the body piercing needle/coring (I had two umm...'bits' :odone a few years ago) it might take longer to heal & be more sore than a 'gun' & stud one. You are so lucky they do the proper studs now for noses, I bet you won't have too much trouble getting a star stud, was you going for a plain one or a jewelled one?:hug:xxxxxx Annie, where are you? Have you heard from Ammi? xxxxxxx Americaminuk, oh wow, minimal packing then? lol That certainly will help with stress levels! xxxxxx Catherine, I thought you just wanted a change when you moved there rather than him move. Poor you, :hug:poor watch! I feel cold at 20deg, lol, no idea how you all manage to function up there!xxxxxxx Purpleorc, how are you? Hope everything is ok.:hug:xxxxxxxx Ggg how are you doing, still the gym bunny?:hug:xxxxxxx Ratkitten, how are the bird & dog getting on? Hope all is well.:hug:xxxxx Brandnewme, hope you are still feeling better & healing up quickly.:hug:xxxxxxxxxx Well I really need to get on, just procrastinating, for a change, lol! xxxxxsharon:hug: p changed my ticker AGAIN, to reflect the weight change AND way of eating, it better be going DOWN!!! |
Helloooo ladies. Well, I got my blood tests back and a written note from my doctor. Turns out liver, kidneys, sugar levels, thyroid, are all good. My bad cholesterol is great, but my good cholesterol is like way low and was flagged. So, my total cholesterol is 111, which is too low. I was like ACK, but I'm FAT! I guess I thought it would have been high or at least average. Anyhow, I also am lacking in a few things like protein, b12, they are low as well, but were not "flagged" as low, if that makes sense. So, overall it isn't too bad. I just need to make some dietary changes to incorporate more good fats and other nutrients into my diet. :D
I will be going to a dermatologist, however, to sort out my skin issues. I mean I have to do something. It is really annoying at this point, but at least nothing is painful. Just want CLEAR skin! lol Weight has gotten back down to a normal weight for me now that TOM has left and now I'm going to try to get on the pill to help regulate my monthly a bit more. So I'm basically 275 again and will get back to loosing. :D I hope everyone is well! I'm busy today, doing a web site concept for a small business. YAY! lol... *SUPPORTIVE HUGS* You guys rawk! |
Yesterday was a bad day..but I didnt let it get to me food wise. I stuck to my diet and came out at 1350. I am really happy to be back and focused on me!!! I didnt get any exercise in unless you count chasing 3 wild kids...but i do that everyday so it doesnt count!!
Today I will have a POP day!!! I like the scales moving back down towards my lowest!! We have a chance of snow here today and is was just 79 day before yesterday. HUGs to all!! |
Hi Everybody
Just a quick hello. I have to go to work but I wanted to check in. I changed my ticker because I gained weight and it's been there for over a week. I'm sure it's because of TOM, but it could also be because I ate whatever I wanted until the other day when I was able to re-gain control of myself. I also put my exercise minutes in my signature. I hope it's not too long since I just saved it and came here to post. My bf has been fixing up my new laptop so I haven't been here for a few days. I'll come back later and post today's exercise minutes and try to catch up. Have a great day all. Vicki |
Morning ladies....
No walking for me yesterday at work. The phones would not stop ringing lol. I love having an afternoon stroll. I have also noticed that..when I take that stroll aroud 2:15ish..I dont crave the chocolate. SERIOUSLY!!! About that time is when I would run for the vending machine..since a co-worker and I have been taking a 15 min walk then..I dont even think about the chocolate. AMAZING! Today walking no matter what the phone says lol |
Good Morning all,
I'm home today. At least until I can get into see my Dr. hopefully later this morning. I have been having chest pains for about a week now. Not sure if it is anxiety or what but need to get seen about it. It kept me up last night. Poor Joel is so worried and made me stay home to see my Dr. Of course that stresses me out because of not being at work today and not getting my work done. lol. Oh well, it will all be all right. I had my interview on Tuesday night with GWES. We shall see what happens. It was a good interview but they are drastically cutting staff and going from 5 Vocational constultants in our office alone to only 5 for the entire Region. That is crazy and I believe with the numbers of people coming in on food stamps and welfare they won't be able to do it. They said they would like to hire people that are already up and running with knowledge in the state's system. That would definately be all of us in our office. Not everyone has applied to go to the new company. She said we will find out possibly this week or next week who they hire and stuff. If I am chosen then I would have training after work every day from the 23rd through the 27th with all day long training on the 28th. Start date would be April 1st. My final date at my company that I work at right now would be March 31st. So weird for us and I bet even more so for the clients not knowing where to go for their appointments. I guess the state is mandating a sign to be placed on the door at our company starting March 16th stating the move and stuff. Honestly where the new company is going to be located is much better than where we are now. It is so inconvienient for the clients where we are. The new company had the very smart idea to move right across the street from the Department of Health and Welfare. Sharon: I haven't spoken to Ammi lately. I think she is just very busy. I hope she is well. Well, it is almost 8 a.m now and I need to go jump in the shower to be ready in case I can go see my Dr. Blessings all, Annie |
Hello ladies! I’m so excited! I leave for St. Louis to visit one of my best friends tomorrow morning!! :]
Yesterday was a good day food wise, and workout wise. Had a salad for both lunch & dinner, and got 110 minutes in working out. I played DDR for the first time yesterday. Played for 10 minutes, and I was sweating like crazy! I definitely want to invest in that game! Would make for a great workout. I’m contemplating whether or not I’m going to the gym today. I’m pretty sore from yesterday, and really all week’s workouts. I know I’ll be walking a lot this weekend, so I don’t want to overdo myself, but I also won’t be working out at ALL tomorrow, either, since I’ll be in the car for 6-7 hours. Blah. I don’t know. I dyed my hair blonde last night, so I can do it red again, and the color will be more vibrant. I haven’t been blonde in a very long time, so it’s strange. Heh. Well, I’m going to make up my mind about the gym, and get to it. Have a great Thursday, all! Americaninuk – That’s great! You’re off to a good start. :] When’s your official weigh-in day? Sharon – Ew. I am not a fan of cauliflower in general, so I feel ya! Lol. Haha. My Mom told me that it looks like either a booger, or a zit. Whatever! Haha. She just likes to mess with me. I want a jeweled star. I’ve always wanted one. My middle name is Star, and I’ve always had a semi obsession with stars. :] Jacquie – That’s great news, for the most part. And that you are doing well. I hope you’re able to get that skin cleared up. I’ve suffered with horrible skin basically my entire life, and it’s finally starting to get clear…with a lot of help! Lol. Have a great day! Annie – Hope all goes well at the doctor’s! Oh my gosh. The economy and job market in general in this country…well, and the world, really, is so unstable. I hope you are able to stay employed! |
kayleystar- im not sure what my official weigh in day is going to be.. im thinking sundays or mondays cause weekends are so hard for me to do anything cause hubbys home lol.. so i think that will hold me accountable..
hope everyone had a good day  |
Annie-As you know, I don’t mess around with chest pain. You shouldn’t either. I hope it is just anxiety. If it gets bad, take an aspirin, and get thee to the ER, and I mean it.
Jacquie-I once had a cholesterol test of 57. 50 of the good, and 7 of the bad. Mine is always under 125. It’s genetic. My mom’s is the same. I’ve had many doctors investigate it, and they could never find any real reason for it, but for some reason, people with really low cholesterol are at increased risk of stroke. I take ginkgo and turmeric to help fight against that. Sharon-If I got near a peanut, I’d eat it and everyone of its relatives. I’d eat that and nothing else without stopping for a week or two. It just goes to show that every person’s diet has to be different because every person certainly is. Carol-I got my exercise in today. I worked so hard in the pool, I thought they were going to have to carry me into locker room. Himself had to go to bed about 6pm he was so tired. Kayley-Long car rides kill me. I want to eat the whole way. I haven’t had a Stuckey’s pecan log in a long time. I lose weight in strange ways. My body kind of swiss cheeses, but doesn’t really go down in size until all at once when a part becomes so swiss cheesed that it kind of collapses in on itself. That happened today. We went to the mall after the pool, and in winter I wear two pairs of pants. My inner ones fell down to my knees. It was like trying to walk with shackles on my ankles. How do those kids walk with their pants down like that all the time? It happened in the part of the mall farthest from the bathrooms, so I went into a bridal shop and borrowed their changing room. I use bungee cord for draw strings in my pants since my size fluctuates so dramatically, so it was easy to just cinch them up, but there is no graceful way to put your arms down your pants in the middle of a mall to pull them up. He got a pretty good laugh at my expense. |
Just popping in here quickly! I'm about to head out for St. Louis. I'll be back on Monday night. Take care, and have a great weekend, all!!!

Kayley have a great time take lots of pics too, love to see you with blonde hair or are you dyeing it red straight away?xxxxxxxx
Catherine I've been having sugar free peanut butter as a dip for celery stalks, or Stilton cheese (it's only made in 3 counties in the UK & I'm in one; Derbyshire; and next to the other two; Leicestershire & Nottinghamshire) which is a strong tasting, blue veined cheese. Did I mention I LOVE cheese, lol!!! I wonder why we get that way, I'm the same with crisps, or chips as you call them, we keep them in the garage out of my reach!!! Otherwise I may eat my weight in them!! Stay warm & safe.xxxxxxxx Annie GO TO THE DR'S!!!!! I know you suffered with anxiety before but you know heart probs run in your family (or am I mistaken?)HUGS & hope the work situation gets better REALLY soon.xxxxxxxx Weighed today lost...ta da...7bs REALLY happy. Must start exercising now I'm feeling better. xxxxxsharon |

good afternoon ladies. well, i have been doing great on going for walks the last few days even tho i have been doing them at like 3am lol.. weird time for most im sure, but so quiet and peaceful with just the birds singing.
the back of my legs are a bit sore today.. nothing major... using muscles i havnt been using, but it feels good.. knowing im accomplishing something. my eating has been going okay but most importantly i still havnt had soda.. woo hoo lol... i miss it, and have had a slight headache the last few days, but im sure that will pass. ive been drinking iced tea w/spenda and water in sodas place. its amazing how when you just change a few lil things, you feel the benifits so fast.. i have only lost 2.5 lbs since tues, but i feel like i have lost loads.. odd i know lol... hubby and i usually have fast food on the weekends but we are going to forgo it since im really trying to get healthier.. wish us luck.. kfc is a sat afternoon staple and i have been thinkin of fried chicken wings all day lol.. hubby said he will go for walks with me on the weekends so that will help take some of the monotony out of it for me. he doesnt need to lose any weight, but walking will be good for him as well. i hope everyone is having a good day and sticking to plan.. |
