Just a quicky to you all.

Purpleorc: Welcome. Thank you for sharing with us. I'm sorry about the nursing but as you said God has another plan. I'm so happy for you getting your health in check and loosing weight. Good for you.

Carol: The pups in bed are a comfort for about 20 minutes then they really settle in and start kicking and making themselves at home. lol. Sounds like your shrimp was yummy. Woo hoo on the -5 inches. That is awesome. Keep up the wonderful work.

Rat: Sorry your knee is hurting again. Boo hoo! That stinks. I sure miss you when you are gone. Glad that your sis is doing well.

Debi: I am not full time at Netflix. I am permanent part time. lol. So that means no more hours but maybe a few here and there but I will be permanent Netflix employee instead of going through the staffing agency. Glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Debbie: I hope you get the job at Michaels. You should show them some of your beads. They will be super impressed I bet! Your costumes sound fun. I hope you take pics. and share them here.

Toni and I will be meeting tomorrow a.m. around 10. I will try to remember my camera and take some photos of us.

Blessings all,
Annie

 Hello fellow chicks :chicken:

CAROL I hope your dish of lime shrimps was nice. I do not like prawns or shrimps to be honest I am not a seafood lover. My eating habits have changed vastly but I still can not get to like that.

I must own up had not a clue what elephant ears were in the plant world so I googled it and found out what they looked like so am all the wiser. I like to use corgettes (zucchini) in caseroles as well as stews. I have added them to bolognese sauces to increase my vegetable intake with a meal and cut down on the amount of meat.

Good for you getting the cowboy boots. Like you I started to wear clothes I would never have dreamed of wearing prior to the weight loss. I take much more care in my appearance making sure everything matches from my socks to my jewelry. Though before it was put on what fit and that was about it. I am glad now that I take the time as I am worth that bit of pampering.
:congrat: on the inches lost that is great steps. I often find if the scales are not budging much there will often be inches lost on my body so that keeps you motivated. When I was on holiday I still did my walks every day. To be honest I did walk more than normal so I didn’t slack whilst on holiday. Although I put on 3lbs during this time due to the puddings I was eating. The week on returning I lost it all when eating my normal diet.

Talking of holidays I am sure that you will have no issues travelling with the seat belt now that you have lost 73lb. I am sure I was that weight when I travelled abroad and I was ok if a little snug. Not been on a plane in simply years I take holidays now in the UK.

CYN
Thanks for the welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear that the dying of his hair didn’t go to plan and now it has several colours for his troubles. I have never dyed my hair as I am fearful knowing my luck it would come out some weird colour. I think now I would probably need two of those home dying kits as well due to the fact I have long hair (only a couple of inches away from my tail bone) and it is very think.
I hope you feel a bit better after the shock of the hair dying. I know growing up Imade a few hum dingers of mistakes as I did not listen to my parents. I think it is all part and parcel of growing up making mistakes and learning from them. I am sure you can think back to that age and some of the errors you made in life then wishing you had listen to your parents.

Rather your DH going to see Saw V as I am a big chicken :chicken: when it comes to horror movies they give me bad nightmares so I have banned myself from watching them.

MIMI Thanks for the welcome to the thread. Well done for doing your exercise and managing to do your fasts speed yet. It shows that you are getting fitter and progressing. It is so nice to fit back into clothes that you have not worn in simply ages. For me it was a great sense of achievement. I now do not have any smaller clothes in the house to “fit” into this is the smallest I have been in my adult life. I think the smallest I can recollect is abut 200lbs when I was like 25 years old.

Thanks for my warm welcome to the thread. Yes at the time giving up my nursing career was hard. Though I know now that was not the path for me in life. We may think that one path is the way for us but God has greater plans for us to follow.
Since getting my condtion of MS I am certainly healthier and fitter than I was prior to this. I gave up smoking in 2001 and now I am tackling the weight issue. I am certain that fueling my body with the correct foods and exercising has helped my MS tremendously. Plus I am in a better place mentally as I feel good about myself for the first time since I was a teenager.

Time to go and wash up the breakfast pots so bye for now fellow chickadee’s and take care.
