  • Well, I've decided to train for the 100 push-up challenge (http://www.hundredpushups.com/). I start tomorrow - with wall push ups.

I have this vision of getting stronger and stronger as I get slimmer and slimmer until I get to the point where I can do 100 push-ups, military style! LOL

But, let me not get ahead of myself. Tomorrow, I start Week 1, Day 1. And, I will come back here to update my progress.

    Anyone else join me? :-)
  • Mimi!! I am going to do this with you! I am also going to try starting with wall push ups and then possibly knee push ups. I think it may take me more than 6 weeks but I'm going to try!!! It says you can redo a week or two so we will see!! Good Luck and keep me posted!

    ~Hilary
  • I'm in
I will start this as well. Thanks for posting the link. I have been working on sit ups and have gotten up to 30 from 5 but am excited about the push up challenge.
  • I need this too. I got up to 12 girl push ups the other day. Up from 5.
  • Week 1, Day 1 - DONE!

I started with wall push-ups and Level 11-20 (third column). Stretched considerably between sets. Focused very hard on form - especially core. Harder to do these while holding tummy in.

    My sets look like this:
    Set 1 - 10
    Set 2 - 12
    Set 3 - 7
    Set 4 - 7
    Set 5 - 14

This felt a tiny bit easy but I'm OK with that. Working on good form and looking forward to being more challenged next week.
  • Week 1 - Day 1

I decided to start with knee pushups!!! I think I did pretty good. I had to start in column One because well, knee push ups are hard!

Here are the sets I did:
    1- 2
    2- 3
    3- 2
    4- 2
    5- 5

    Now on to Day 2!!

Good Job, Mimi on Day 1!!
  • Yay all of you!
Remember not to do it 2 days in a row. Keep up the great work!

  • Ok Mimi, I see we are posting our accomplishments here now. Good to know. I'll let ya know tonight how I do.
Glad more people joined the challenge

Looking forward to sexy biceps and triceps.
  • Today I did wall push ups ( column three):
    10
    12
    7
    7
    9

My arms are feeling stronger already

HilaryAnne, you go girl!!! Knee push ups, I'm impressed
  • Hello My Push-up Divas,

Remember those "kindda easy" wall push-ups I did yesterday?

HA! Today I'm feeling muscles in my arms I didn't know existed! Can't wait to to tomorrow's round!

Thank you all for joining me. :-) It's easier with company.
  • Week 1, Day 2 - DONE!!!

    Continuing with my wall push-ups:

    Set 1 - 10
    Set 2 - 12
    Set 3 - 8
    Set 4 - 8
Set 5 - 20 (compared to the 14 max I could do on Monday)

I'm sure I'll be feeling my arms tomorrow!

How are the rest of you doing?
  • Wow - interesting! I love a challenge

I can do wall push-ups and when I was working out I could do the knee push ups. So I think maybe I'll join in too
  • I didn't get my pushups in today because I work from 5:45am until 7pm today.....uuugggh. I'm going to bed right now, I'm so tired. I did lift a lot of heavy sewing machines at work though! I'll get moving tomorrow. Good Job on Day 2 everyone!!!!!!!
  • Happy Sunday everyone!

Well, I was supposed to do Day 3 of Week 1 on Friday but I didn't make it. First day of my period and my whole body was achy! Took Friday and Sat off from working out. I feel rested today. :-)

    Week 1, Day 3 - DONE

    Set 1 - 11
    Set 2 - 15
    Set 3 - 9
    Set 4 - 9
    Set 5 - 15

The last set was PAINFUL! and I could totally feel my core muscles working this time (well, more like trembling! ::Grin:). I am very happy I've given myself this challenge.

In order to give my arms a rest, I will do push-ups on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday this week.

How is everyone else doing? :-)
  • Sorry I was AWOL for a bit but I'm still in. Is anyone still here???
