300+ Weekly Thread #1172
WELCOME!! We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs. We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't. We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time. Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out. We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us. I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out. If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site. Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker. There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!! |
G'morning all,
I have my new cpap machine and mask. I've already gotten a staph infection on the bridge of my nose despite the disinfectant I use, anti-bacterial wipes, soap and water. *sigh* I wore a bandaid on it last night and it is better. I can't say I feel any more rested, but I might be in a big deficit. I haven't sent the old machine in for repair yet. I feel bloated and bleh cuz of TOM. No more insane eating, but now I'm paying for it (especially from the salty stuff). Hugs and Luv to all! Ratkity |
Good morning All,
Im down here in Southwest Florida getting ready for Hurricane Fay. Looks like she is taking the same course Hurricane Charley took a few years back. I am doing great on my diet lost another 4 pounds this week down to 340.2 so looking forward to watch the numbers fall. I am down a total of 14 pounds since I started just over a month ago. WOO HOOO !! MY son plays football and yesterday was his Jamboree where they play a few little mini games well his team Won all three games they played so that was exciting. Well hope everyone has a great day Im going hurricane shopping to get a few things in case power goes out !! |
Anne-The muffins sound yummy! Next time you use papers, try spraying them with cooking spray first. It does help.
Ratkitten-hope you are feeling better soon! Renee224-Yeah on the 4 lbs. That is wonderful, you are doing great! Hurricane shopping not fun! I have had power out many times but due to ice storms or tornado or someone hitting a generator. Hope you don't have any problems. Well another new week, I am happy to say that I got my water all in yesterday so I am hoping to today. It has been several days since I have done that, but am working on it still. I have got things to get ready for school today the kids start Thursday. They are so ready. Not with supplies but their attitudes are. I think we are supply shopping in the next day or so, it kinda depends how much money I have before Friday. Well, I need to get water and get moving, but I will check back later. Penny |
Re baking: I've been using the pam spray specifically for baking and it works well. There's a bit of flour in there and it does seem to help!
In addition to Anne's choc zucchini cake/muffins, this morning I tried some homemade fruit and nut bars. I used what I had in the house and ended up with a higher cal version than I intended, but I think it's going to be good, at least for a first try. They're pretty easy, too! I'm thinking variations will be coming... |
Renee-I lived just north of where Charley hit in 2004. We were supposed to get a direct hit, but it jogged south at literally the last minute. Just be safe and careful. The governor said that a lot of people in Florida have hurricane amnesia because it been a quiet couple of years because of the last el Nino. The hurricanes are something I don't miss about Florida.
He's in Montreal, and I just never seem to get any work done when he is gone. I just read a book yesterday. He should be home late tonight. I'm hoping to get something done this afternoon. I think the heat is getting to me. It's in the middle 90's, which isn't that high, except that nothing has air conditioning here. It reminds me of trying to sleep as a kid when it was over 100 degrees before we got air conditioning. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow. I hope it cools off before September 3rd when I start to school. That's a long ride on an un-air conditioned bus. |
HI..
just wanted to stop in for a few min. I was sick over the weekend..started out with a headache and then yesterday about lunch stomach started in.NO fun at all!! Weight was awesome today..to bad its from no food or liquid being in my body.lol Im working on getting my water intake back to normal today..food is still not sounding to good .LOL My baby starts college tommorow. I cant believe she is all grown up!! hugs to all debi |
Ratkity, just grab up the dogs and crawl into bed and take care of yourself.
Renee, stay safe. You just never know which direction those things will end up going. :woohoo: on the 4 lbs gone. You're doing really well! Penny, YAY !! for the water. Keep it up!! That's pretty good to have kids htat actually WANT to go back to school. What a lucky lady! Heather, are ya gonna tell us the recipe? Those sound good too! Catherine, hope Himself had a great trip and gets home safely. Now get up and get movin!!!! ;) Debi, hope you're feeling better as the day goes on. Take care  Off to work on some clay! toodles Debbie |
Brandnewme: I love your new avatar photo. Hugs. Congrats on being down another pound!! I'm glad that your knee and shoulder are doing a bit better. I hope you had a great time with your family. Did you guys do anything particularly fun?
Brenda: Hi girl. Debi: I hope you feel better soon. Did you manage to go weight lift or was it after you got sick? Bernice: Glad that your tooth is getting better. Yippee that your DS is coming home for Labor Day weekend. How did DH and DD talk go? Hugs. Penny: I just shopped for groceries at Costco and went to Walmart to shop for groceries too. I can't stand Walmart and don't know why I bother going there to shop. lol. Dh thinks that they are cheaper but, I'm not so sure. Carol: I envy your day in the pool. lol. Joel slept until 2 p.m. I slept until about 10:30 yesterday which was too late for church. After Joel got up we drove to get some gas in his truck for the week then came home and worked a bit in our garden. Mostly just tried to stay in doors in the cool. We did give our doggies another bath. They will most likely be sleeping up on the spare bed this week with my niece Lindsey who will be visiting from CA. They love her and she lets them up there with her. I don't mind as long as she puts a sheet down first and they are clean. She is the same niece that lived with us for the summer last year and that I went to CA to see her graduate from College. I adore her and I am looking forward to her week long visit. Julee: Sounds like you had a nice weekend with friends and family. Rat: Hugs to you hun. Renee: I don't think I have welcomed you yet so.... WELCOME! Glad that you are here. Congrats on the wonderful success you have been having with a healthier lifestyle. Hugs to you on the hurricane. I hope she fizzles out before doing any damages. Stay safe. Catherine: Isn't it funny that our bodies get used to the weather so quickly. You coming from Florida where it is hotter and me from Sac. CA where it is hotter and now these days that are in the 90's about kill us. lol. NO AC in our house either and it was 103 yesterday!!! Try to stay cool. It is supposed to cool off here starting Wednesday. HOpefully it will blow up towards you too. Debbie: How are the beads going hun? I am down another pound since Friday which is wonderful. I want so much to be into the 230's before I see my Dr. on the 28th. I have 5 more pounds to go to get into the 230's. I had an interview with Goodwill industries on Friday that seemed to go pretty well. I'll see this week if it went as well as I thought it did. lol. I have another interview tomorrow with a medical supply company. My plan is to work and work as much as I can to pay off debt with DH and while I am working hopefully closer to the new year take some classes to get CPR/First Aid and Lifesaving. I also want to get a cert. in personal training with an emphasis on water training. I want all my ducks in a row for when the Salvation Army Krock Center opens in Spring 2009 to be ready to apply for a position there as water aerobics instructor and or lifeguard. I need to get some breathing room with our debt before I try to do some schooling though. I am trying to ramp up my physical activity and get my body more and more physically fit so I can do the dreams I didn't realize I had until my dear friends here helped me out with it. Thanks you guys for always helping me see a new path that was covered up by some "bushes" in my mind. You guys are awesome. Have a great op, water drinking and bootie moving day. Blessings, Annie |
Debbie -- Here's the recipe I adapted.
http://www.thecancerblog.com/2007/06...-and-nut-bars/ I used different dried fruit than in the recipe (cranberries, blueberries, strawberries and cherries). I thought the end result was tasty, but a bit too sweet and sticky. Next time I'll play around with using a different binder other than just honey (a little OJ is on my radar). Some less sweet fruit might also help (like the apples called for). |
Debi, My baby starts her first year of college pretty soon, the first or second of September. I think my oldest son is going to take her since I can't really help her carry and drag all her crap to the dorm. Plus they get along really well and it is sort of enforced bonding.
|
Debi - the kids dont start back to school until Sept 2. They are all going crazy and driving me insane!
I released again this week 3 lbs. For total 34.75 gone! Check in with ya all later. |
Julia: Wooo hoo and whoop whoop! Congrats.
Blessings, Annie |
Hiya peeps - OK once again Monday is here and I'm going to try to get some personals in this week.
Julia - WOOOOOHOOOOOOO - you are doing wonderful - keep up the great work. How was date night with the little one? Toni - sounds like a good plan to have some forced bonding - just think - when it's time for her to head home you'll be able to help! Rat - I hope it's a wild bandaid on the nose - I think it is appropriate for Biker Chick - haven't heard much about her lately - is she OK? Renee - be safe - and a belated welcome to you. This is a fantastic group for all the support - I look forward to seeing you post and getting to know you. Penny - I see what happens when no 3FC access for me to remind you - you don't get your water in - c'mon now you can do it. I used to love getting my school supplies - hope they enjoy it! Prof Heather - when do you head back to class? I didn't know you were a baker - I'm going to take a look at the bars - sound good to me - breakfast is always a problem so I usually end up with a banana and some type of packaged bar - Kashi, Luna, etc. Catherine - I'm the same way when DH isn't home - takes me all day to do nothing. Hope he is home safely soon. Debi - how are you feeling? Be sure to get your strength back - take care of yourself. Debbie - so what did you end up doing over the weekend? Hope it was fun. Annie - I'm with you - I haven't figured out if they are cheaper either - the only upside is I can get everything in one stop - on the down side it's just too big and I can never find things. It certainly was a great day in the pool with plenty of room for you guys too! Do your pups have ear troubles? Our old lab didn't but these two have really bad ears - especially the lab. Enjoy your niece - it is a special time. Annie - I am so proud to hear of your plans for personal training - you will be awesome and appeal to so many who don't think they can exercise. The info I shared with you about my trainer is what gave me a comfort level when I first started out. I'm feeling great with 7 OP days working the mojo - hoping the scale agrees tomorrow. Move your bodies, drink your water (Penny) and SMILE. Hugs to all, Carol |

Carol -- Classes start Sept 15th (yes, we end late, but start late).
As for baking, I haven't baked a lot on this weight loss journey. I've tried some low fat recipes, but not a lot. I've missed it and am starting back in a bit more. I probably won't make a lot of regular cookies that I don't want to eat, but I do like trying some different snack foods. Give the bars a whirl. You don't have to bake them! Anne -- Hmmm... I've never baked with milk powder. Sounds interesting. |
Hey, I am getting ready for bed but wanted to check in.
Carol-Thanks! I will work on the water. You are awesome to keep on me about it. Debbie does too! It is always fun getting the kids school supplies. They are excited. Penny |
oh my goodness! are any of you taking kickboxing? or have you? its a LOT of fun, and a great workout. you should try it. i just started today, but i love it.
|
Luan - I will start back to water kickboxing in a couple of weeks - I agree - it's awesome.
Having had a fantastic OP week I was expecting - oh maybe a 20 pound release - you know the feeling - great week equals great release right. I am up .25 of a pound. After the initial disappointment I'm fine - mojo still strong. Slow and steady wins the race. Hope you all have a great end of summer day. Hugs, Carol |
Hi there girls
I only have a minute as its breakfast then I'm off painting hubbys workshop etc :) Wanted to tell you about the AWESOME weigh in last night. 10.5 lbs  I am pretty excited. Mind you first week and all... but I'll TAKE it! I got a ribbon and certificate at TOPS and we had "treat" night since it was Steve's Dad's 60th bday. Back on track this morning. to everyone!! |
Heather - if I remember correctly, the first version I made was kind of like a baked oatmeal bar, although I swapped half the milk powder for soy flour and added some flax seeds. It was really quite tasty. I've been working on higher protein, lower carb, snacks though so I've swapped out all the milk powder for soy flour, added protein powder, fiber and threw in a couple of eggs to make sure it had a little rise to it. It's not as tasty as the original version, however, it's 30% protein. Two squares of it (I'm making it in a bigger pan) have 6g of fiber. It's closer now to a homemade protein bar of sorts. I've been doing this so I have portable snacks for fall when I'm back in school.
Carol - Keep strong, it will happen. Brenda - congratulations! Well, I should go grab my breakfast. I've got scrubbed cucumbers waiting. Yes, today is pickle day. Only a small amount since I've never made them before. The recipe is well-tried, just not the pickle maker (me). Hope everyone is having a great week so far. |
Brenda_ awesome weight loss!!
Carol- Im sure its all the water you drank last night..keep it up and you will see big numbers next week. luan_ we dont have any fun classes like kickboxing offered around here..I live in the middle of nowhere! sound like alot of fun! Penny_ i got tickled you talking about getting school supplies..my youngest starts college today and came in yesterday and sat in the floor and organised her school supplies. Guess its fun at any age!! heather_ wow that is when i wish school started around here. This year the heat isnt bad but some years its way over 100 degrees when the kids start back to school and having to ride a school bus for hours in the heat. NO FUN dmpls_ how are you feeling?? How is the school year going so far?? Did daughter and hubby make up?? I hate when there is tension in the house! annie_ no I didnt get to lift sunday..or yesterday. Im hoping maybe today..but hubby wants to lift tommorow. so i may just jump on the trampoline tonight. I so want to see that 239 I saw for a few seconds yesterday..to bad i was dehydrated from being sick in order to see it. I was back to 242 this morning..I knew it was to soon to be in the 30s. debbie_ How are you?? Working on any new craft projects?? I did some sewing on sunday before i got sick. I sure enjoyed it! I am making the little 8x8 squares with ribbon coming out in loops around the sides...babies love the different textures of the ribbon.I hang links on them and they can hook onto carseats or strollers. They sell them in stores for about 20 and they cost less than 2 to make one.LOL catherine_ are you ready for school to start?? do you have all your school supplies ready?? lol rain- are you lurking?? how are you?? julia- great weight loss..how do you handle a mom who just sends one pair of training pants when your working on potty training?? GRR She even sent a snap between the leg outfit.GRRR I think a mom would gladly send the stuff you need to potty train a 2 yr old. julee- anything exciting going on with you?? hugs to those I missed. debi |
anne_ i have cucumbers soaking in vinegar right now with a little splenda. I also need to cut up an onion and add to it.What kind of pickles are you making?/ My mom made bread and butter pickles last week.
|
My date with DS went great. We actually had a conversation without being interupted. But then after about 20 min he said Mom thats enough questions can we just eat! I guess that was enough for a 7 yr old boy! But I love my one on one time with him!
As for parents who send pull ups and baby clothes hmm. Maybe send home a copy of a star chart. It will be a reminder that thier kid gets a gold star each time they use the potty and dont need baby items any more. I had a kid show up with no shoes yesterday and today the family is a no show they are to be here at 7 and well its 8:42 now! Oh well I get paid anyways! Making granola today, getting pickle supplies from the market on thurs and need to finish up my peaches! I have a date with a gf who has organic apples and we are working on applesauce and frozen slices for the winter some time next week. |
Debi - I'm making dills. It's a odd process, but it works well, so we don't mess with it. It came from my grandmother who was a forewoman in a Bick's plant decades ago. So I'm assuming it's a home version of some of the things they used to do. However, a couple of years ago when we ran out of pickles we tried a jar of their dills and they weren't as good. I've made sweet pickles before but I'm not that fond of them. This is a salt/vinegar/water brine with garlic and dill.
So I ended up with 10 quart jars. The cucumbers were too big so I couldn't pack them very tight. Overall though it worked out well, although it will be 6 weeks minimum before I can open one and check. They only go into the sterilizer for a minute, but it takes about 30 mins for it to come to a boil (so I'm in a waiting cycle for the second batch). |
PICKLES! My husband is the pickler in this family but we always stick a whole rinsed grape leaf in each jar of dills. This helps keep them crisp.
|
I overslept this morning and just grabbed a yogurt instead of my normal eggbeaters..gosh by 9 am I was starving.I ate my string cheese a little early and will remember to at least add in some fruit next time im running late.
IM wearing a tank top around the house today..kids dont care how i look..well my upper arms are flopping..I dont think i like this!!!!Looks like its time for some toning exercises. |
Carol: Nope. My dogs don't have ear troubles, Thank God. Maybe the Golden in them keeps them okay. My Mom has a purbred German Shepherd and he always has ear troubles as did thier dog before him same breed. Thanks for you support and encouragement on doing personal training. Congrats on keeping your mojo going! Hugs.
Brenda: Woo hoo to you on that fantastic -10.5 Wonderful job. Anne and all the other pickle makers. You guys rock. I want to try to do some canning and stuff next year. Debi: Good for you being 242. You are sooo close. I am at 244 today so I have 5 more to go before I'm into the 230's. Hopefully we will both be there very soon. I had a 7 a.m. orthodontist appointment that lasted about 5 minutes. He just checked my retainer and did an adjustment. I don't have to go back for 6 months! I have another job interview today with a medical supply company. It is at 1 p.m. so, I have 4 hours. I am planning on going to a job fair just down the street for a new elderly medical care center that is opening up. They need office staff among other positions. I am going to go and see what it is all about and drop off my resume. I hope you all have a wonderful op day. Blessings, Annie |
Hi Annie, I'm so proud of you for considering being a personal trainer. What a great dream that you're making a reality! I know you'll get those 5 lbs off before you see the doc again. You are so committed to this journey, that you can achieve anything! Good luck on those jobs too. I'm sure someone will see what a gem you are and hire you!
Beads are going well. I'm working on some for Halloween right now. I little Frankenstien, vampire, and witch. I opened up my shop on Etsy.com too. Heather, thanks for the recipe. They sound really good! I'm definitely going to have to make some and try them out. Julia, YAY for the 3 lb release!! Carol, we ended up going to karaoke. My dil is getting pretty brave now and even singing solo! One of these days I'll get brave (or drunk) and get up there. The rest of the weekend I worked on making beads for an order I got. It was so hot though that the clay kept melting in my hands! Thank goodness it's cooled down. I think you're mojo has rubbed off on me!!! I actually did a 1 mile WATP dvd this morning!! Thanks for being strong, it empowers other too! Luan, ooooooooo kickboxing!! That sounds like fun! Brenda, WHOOOOHOOO!!! Wow!!! That's fantastic on the 10.5lbs gone. Keep up the great work!!!! Anne, let us know how the pickle making goes. All your canning sounds so yummy! Debi, I'm doing great! I've been making beads. I fogot how time consuming they are but well worth the effort. It also keeps me from hitting the fridge every 15 minutes at night. Those little thingies you're making for babies sound pretty cute. You'll get to the 230's in no time. Being sick sucks, but glad that your'e feeling better now. Gotta get moving here. Everyone have a great OP, water drinking, movin' day! Debbie |
Well, I don't know about your kids, but this kid is very excited for school to start. I get to go out to pick up my books tomorrow. I hope they end up being heavier than the bag of money it will take to buy them. I start September 3rd. I'm going to check out tomorrow where my classes are going to be. They keep changing things because the whole college and seminary is moving. The province is putting a new highway right through the library, so it seems to make sense to move the thing. The province threw enough money at them to build whatever they want. It was go through the college, or a sub division of homes. Moving a 60 year old college seemed the cheaper choice. The new location will be easier to get to on the bus, so I'm not complaining, but I'll practically be done by the time they get completely moved.
He got home okay. I'm glad I checked online for the flight departures because his plane was delayed an hour, and I would have been going nuts with him being an hour late. This was just a quickie. When he goes to Glasgow for a couple of weeks in October, I'll be a basket case. At least I'll have my school work to keep me occupied. Even more important than going back to school the 3rd, is that my water aerobics class will be back on the 1st. Yeah!! The kids will be back in school, and the heck out of my pool. Maybe I can get back on track better. I just don't lose weight without the exercise, and I am so limited physically on what I can do. |
Brenda - WOWZA is all I can say! What a fantastic release for you. Keep up the great work.
Anne - thanks for the support - I'm good (so far) - I also expect slow(er) releases once I kick back up the exercise more formally. Can you share the pickle recipe? Do you grow your own dill - nothing like it. Heather - I hadn't checked the link - uncooked sounds great - any problem sticking to one serving? That is a rpoblem to me at times. Debi - I love cukes and onions too! I normally have a bowl full in the fridge during the summer - love em on sandwiches. Annie - how was the interview. I love canning - I kinda view it as a lost art and feel honored to have been taught by my great aunt - I won't go so far as to can fish we catch though. Last year we canned 144 quarts of salsa - everything came from the garden. It is a wonderful feeling and something I am working with my special nieces to pass on to them. They both feel like its something we need to do regularly. Debbie - glad to share my mojo anytime - I think we all feed off of each other - sounds like we're all getting back on a roll. Catherine - WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO to getting back to the pool. You'll be getting exercise walking to class too - don't wear yourself out! I am so excited to get back to formal water classes - I've done OK (just OK) with water exercising on my own in the personal pool. This weekend is DHs birthday - we always do an adult party for it - this year it coincides with the annual air show which feature the Air Force Thunderbirds - he seems to have in his mind that they are here just for him and is amazed that I was able to secure them - just kidding although that is what he is telling people. We live in their flight path and normally they buzz our house - I'm getting excited already. That's about it for me - hugs to all, Carol PS - Penny - water? |
Carol -- I always have to watch serving sizes! I suppose it could be a problem. As with other things, I take my serving and walk away. BTW, I'm keeping mine in the freezer!

Hi guys,
I got my results back from my blood tests from Friday. I feel a tiny bit relieved, and a tiny bit like impending doom. My fasting blood glucose was 108 (last time it was 119). 120 to 125 is considered diabetic. Less than 100 is normal. 108 is borderline (in my mind prediabetic, but my Dr isn't freaked out at this point). My A1c was 5.8. Below 6.0 is considered "normal". I would have liked to have been much lower than 6.0 A 5.8 means my average glucose level for the last three months is 120 mg/dl. She said to keep working on my weight, and see her again in 4 to 6 months. So, that is what I will do. I hope that I can lose 20 to 30 more pounds by then. Or more. Yes, I would take more. My point is, I am glad to not be full fledged diabetic, and my Dr isn't ready to call me prediabetic (she said she would have my do the sugar test if she was worried). But, I wish I was more "normal". TOM is here so I think this had made things a little more sensitive to the issue. The good news is, no weight gain with this TOM. Maybe I will lose when it leaves me. I hope. In my mind I am setting time bound goals (how sweet would it be to say goodbye to the 300s in 2008?), but I fear I am setting myself up for disappointment. I guess that's all. Take care and be well all. Angie |
debbie54, what is your etsy shop name? I want to see what you make!
Brenda, Huge congrats on your great first week loss at TOPS! |
Angie - glass half full - I'm so happy with your test results. Normal results were the first big NSV for me and I'm still ecstatic with them. Look how far you've come - no - its not like you would have hoped but slow and steady wins the race remember. I'm not good with time oriented goals but my goal is to kick it in high gear and see how far I can get by the new year - I have a number in mind but more importantly how many OP days and how much exercise are the big goals that I will set.
Any thoughts on a 300+ biggest loser weigh in like we had last time? I thought it was fun and a great way to keep track. Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE. Hugs, Carol Battle - I'm looking for a whoosh - have you seen it? |
Angie -- That's great about the improvement in your bloodwork!! Hopefully, if you keep losing weight, it will just get better! That's a great NSV!!
|
G'morning all!
Just a couple of personals as I wake up this morning. Catherine, yay for fresh starts and new classes!! I always feel I'm missing something when September comes around, even though I've been out of school since 1992. Realist, your numbers aren't creeping up, they are going DOWN. I think your lab work news is FABBO. Keep up the great work! Hugs to you, lady. I'm back wearing my cpap mask. It's not helping with my dizziness. The dizziness is just slight and annoying, not life stopping. I know wearing that stupid thing will stop irreversible pulmonary hypertension, among other nasty side effects of not breathing while sleeping. My doc said that my losing weight will help, but will probably not stop the apnea because I've had it all of my life. Bleh! Nothing like looking like a Borg clone while sleeping.. hehe. Hugs to all! Luv, Ratkity |
realist_ I am so proud of you and your blood work. Just think the difference a few more lbs will make!! Your AC1 was great!! My hubbys cant get his below 6.4...even though his glucose runs low often..but that just means that at other times its still to high..he takes meds daily for it. In fact 2 kinds of pills twice a day. I am so proud of you!!!!
carol_ hope you have a great day at work.I agree about the 300+ weigh in thingie..i loved it!!It was a great way to track weight loss and also see the big picture of what your doing overall..not just the weekly stuff. catherine_ how are you going to find time to do your sewing when school starts?? GOOD MORNING!
Anyone have any NSV's? ooh oohh I do! I am now the same weight I was when I was pregnant 7 yrs ago. And DH has stopped wearing ear plugs to bed and when I asked him why his response was that I dont snore as much. I never relataed snoring to weight gain. But I guess the more I gained the more I snored! Ratkity - Hope you start feeling better soon! Angie - Good news on the blood work results. Keep up the great work! Carol - I read in the news that they ARE there for your DH birthday. Sorry you missed the news flash! Aren't men too funny! My DH does that too. Thinking that stuff is all about him! LOL Have a great day everyone! |
Debi - "Hubby isnt into lifting yet so i may have to hold off on doing that..just cant do it alone..I see to many creepy crawlie things in my basement alone...lol" --- I dont like the creepy crawlies either! I am still finding the odd stoaway from camping...good thing the cats & dog take care of them!
