Way to go Johnnie!!!! Next time you go to the store, stack up 4 big bags of 25# dog food, and just ponder it.

Way to go Johnnie!!!!! 100!
Catherine-I never thought of measuring it that way. Debi-that would be a cute idea. I will see if they want to paint some rocks! Ratkitten-I think I could handle it if it was just a blah day or week. But the whole last month and a half have been the worst ever. It is not all about weight issues. I will try and not get beat up! lol Thanks for the hugs! Well afternoon is going well. Young daughter has friends over and they are eating popcorn, and playing WII. Hubby expected to be home in a couple of hours. He just called and said, "he can't wait to see me"! AWWWWWW. I don't think all the times he has been out that he has said that. Normally just miss you. Let me tell you it sounded so sweet to hear. He wants chicken fajaita salad for dinner, so I will have it about ready when he gets home. I also made a sugar-free banana cream pie. Penny |
Congrats Johnnie!!! Your hard work is truly paying off :)
adly that is the end of the positive things I have to say. The situation with dinner now has a new wrinkle in it. The meal part was solved simply enough with DH suggesting BBQ chicken (although I feel it will probably be the icky chicken). Then FIL called back and said (hold on to your hats ladies...) "You should bring something over for dessert...not that you or Jason or Judy need it...but just bring soemthing over that you'll all eat." There will be words tonight...oh yes...there will be words. I get that this man has no filter and that he means well...but he is also a hypocrite...he has a big ol' gut and smokes so he is hardly the picture of health himself. When he heard my tone change and heard me griting my teeth he started to backpedal and tried to apologize and include himself...but I refuse to make excuses and just accept his bad and insensitive behavior...so there will be words. Then we have my dear wonderful neurotic friend W who is back "on" her "diet" again. This means she obsessively writes down what she thinks she is eating and drinking and shares it with the world. I want to support her and help her as a cheerleader but she texts me daily to tell me what she did and didn't eat and to ask me food questions. It' simple..as long as she is in the mindset that she can starve herself all day to eat fettucini alfredo at dinner...it's not going to work. Same with her chili cheese fries. She'll say she banked enough points and then amazingly she is over. Last night the 4 of us, (me, DH, W and her BF) went to a concert and picnicked beforehand and then went to coffee. She was neurotic during dinner, praised herself for not eating her sandwich, drank a half bottle of red wine and then (tired and cranky as she was) at coffee, when asked by the waitress if she wanted anything, she said (in a very loud and petulant voice) "I'M OVER MY CALORIES TODAY." Sigh...enough already. I cannot get it through her head that talking about your diet obsessively is not a success plan and I get that she has to hear herself say it to do it...but I don't and it's not helping me...nor is my FIL's good intentioned idiocy. I just can't be around her when she is like this...especially because she weighs herself daily and that just adds to the mess. She claims this is the only way she can lose...and I totally accept that her ways works for her...well her way plus the Xantrex I busted her buying at Target (which I told her doesn't work). I just feel so frustrated right now... Oh well...onwards and upwards. |
Hiya Peeps - just a quick fly by - glad to go back to work tomorrow to rest.
Hope you all had great weekends! Hugs, Carol |
Hi all.
Johnnie: Congrats on -100 pounds! That is such an amazing and awesome thing you did little lady! I loved seeing your photos too. I can see a huge difference in your before and afters. Julee: Sorry that your FIL as such a pill! It makes it awful to get togther. My Mil is a pill and I don't enjoy spending time with her at all. Hugs. Yes, I think Torrid is very high priced but I did like the dress. The sizes are strange. I think Lane Bryant's Jeans are sized weird too. lol. Debi: I have been thinking about getting the dress but it is a size 3 and I am between a 1 and a 2 at Torrid so, since I can't sew like our lovely Catherine, I better not get it. lol. Huge, Huge congrats at the -4.6 pounds you lost this week. I am still stuck at 249. Maybe tomorrow I will be down a pound. lol. Monica: I have never made nor have I tried the ww soup but I have heard some great things about it. I hope it is excellent. Brandnewme: I agree Torrid is pricey. I do love most of the clothes I tried on though. I settled for some leggings. Bernice: BYE! lol. Carol: At what size do we stop being "plus" sized? I am just curious. lol. Julia: Please read what I wrote to Debi above about the dress. lol. Debbie: The berries sound yummy. Glad that Jim's party was a success. Rat: LOL about your MOm's slip up. Too cute. Catherine: I'm sure that soon enough you will be able to buy the bottoms at the Thrift store too. Penny: Glad that you are feeling a bit better. Zelma: SOrry you have been under the weather so much. I hope you get to feeling better very soon. Heather: Welcome home. I can't wait to hear about your trip. DH took my monthly progress pics. He made me go put a tank top on so I can really see my body. ICKY! Oh well. I posted my before and current pic on the pic page anyway. We went to the riffle range today and shot the 22 and the 38 Special hand gun. It was loud but kind of fun. lol. Now off to ride my 2nd 5K of the weekend. Blessings all, Annie |
Hi gang,
Well, I hate to admit it, but I am getting frustrated. I have been working out about 5 days a week, riding my exercise bike 8 to 12 miles, using resistance 6 to 8 (10 is the maximum resistance). That is my attempt at making it a little more like riding a bike, pulling my big body. I have also been eating 1500 to 1800 calories a day. And well, I lost 0.4 last week. That is frustrating. I have lost enough weight consistently to be at a plateau (I think). What am I doing wrong? My sodium intake seems pretty high. So, I don't know, it could be that. I so want to make it to 338 by August 15th (currently at 341.6), as I will be down 20 pounds from my last Dr appointment. But, it just isn't working well. Any thoughts? I seem to struggle finding low sodium foods that are also low in fat/carbs. I see to be tracking too many things right now, and am losing focus. Enough of that rant. Go go Johnnie. OK, I don't have personals in me tonight. Angie |
AB I just checked out the pictures page and you look AMAZING. What a difference!!! I am so proud of you and so happy for you, not only because you look great but because I know how 'free' you are now that you are no longer trapped in a 500 lb body. You ROCK!!!!
Johnnie you are looking pretty spectacular after your great loss too :congrat: Big Hugs, Ammi :trampo: |
AMMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE'VE BEEN MISSING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope that you are feeling great and having a lovely time, whether it is relaxing, or spending time with your beautiful hubby and lovely girls (at least I HOPE they are being lovely) or wandering around your favourite locations. It is SO good to 'see' you again! Take care, Zelma |
ok so today is it...........back to work day!!! LOL
Summer did not seem like summer this year!!! Today is suppose to be the hottest day of the year......it is due to reach 100!!!! At least we don't have students today!! Johnnie GOOD JOB!!!!! I am so proud of you!!! you look FABULOUS!!! it excites me to see so many of you doing exactly what I am trying to do........gives me hope!!!! Zelma-hope the ENT can figure out what to do for you! I would venture to say it maybe allergies like someone else mentioned. My husband has severe allergies and develops bronchitus then laringitus from them several times a year.....I have found that locally grown honey helps fight off the allergies that are pollen induced. Locally grown honey the bees pollenate the honey with flowers/plants that are local to your community and thus the honey is a natural allergy shot....so to speak. You can get it from a health food store......I give my DH a teaspoon in the mornings and if it is really bad I give him one in the AM & one in the PM. It might be worth looking into. (when his voice is gone I mix honey & lemon juice and nuke it just till warm and he drinks it to soothe his throat) Well seeing as how I still have to get ready I can't do more personals...........but do want to say I am recommitting to my plan...........I need more exercise..........I need to plan meals better........I need to see more losses weekly rather than staying the same or gaining.....LOL IF I stick to the first two the third should fall into play LOL here is an inspirationial story that was on our local news......for all of us about a man who is commuting 16miles to work and back on his bike!!! he has lost 40+ lbs since starting.....there is a video link that you can watch as well as him having his own website to track his progress!! I thought wow that is so cool........I wish I could do it too........since mine is only 3miles I could but where would I put my DD??? LOL http://www.wave3.com/Global/story.as...il&Format=HTML |
