Wow. Thank you for putting that into perspective Purpleorc. Your words are tremendously encouraging and motivating.

I know I can't wait for the days when I get to go clothes shopping and have the freedom to purchase what I think looks good, not what is the least ugly out of the 3 things that might actually fit me.
  • Jess,
I understand your concern. Up until recently I have been concerned about sagging skin, but haven't been too worried about it. I have noticed a couple of areas that looked a little loose, but they appeared to go away after a week or so. I am lucky to have inherited skin from my mothers side of the family (which is amazing, seriously, my 74 y/o g-ma who has had 5 kids still has a flat tummy and firm everything else) so I am hoping that will work in my favor. Anyways, last week I notice the inside of my thighs looked bad. So now I am really worried about it. I am hoping they will turn out okay, but I am thinking a plastic surgery fund wouldn't be a bad idea. I know most of the problem with my thighs is caused by my thighs rubbing together and the scarring that has resulted. Don't think genetics will help that.
  • Yay!!!
I'm so glad you started this thread! It's something that's been in the back of my mind for a while now. It had actually been bothering me quite abit, and I didn't want to pose the question to anyone who had already lost a lot of weight because I didn't want to be discouraged by the answer. But I feel so much better about it now...the benefits of losing the weight and getting healthy totally outweigh (no pun intended ) the negatives...what's a little saggy skin next to being able to live a full, healthy and happy life?!

Thanks everyone, for sharing your experiences and putting my mind at ease!
