Talking Anyone else do this?

Hi, me again! I wanted to know if anyone else compares the amount of weight they lost to the weight of things. Okay, don't know if that came out clear. What I'm talking about happened to me a couple of weeks ago and it still kinda blows my mind. I had to take my dog to the vet and they weighed her. Well, I had weighed that morning and I had lost 20.4 pounds. My dog weighed in at 20.3 pounds and I couldn't help but thinking "I have lost that much!" I got to really looking at Cici (my dog) and her size and how heavy she felt in my arms (of course, she was fighting tooth and nail to keep from getting put on the table). I couldn't beleive the comparison. Of course I had begun to notice subtle changes in my body but I didn't think it was a big deal. If I had a Cici sized chunk missing from one part of my body it would have been alot more noticible! On the way home I was still so excited about that and I called my mother and told her I had lost a Cici. Once I assured her that I hadn't actually lost Cici herself, she just kinda laughed and said she guessed I had. Anyways, I'm sure comparing my fat loss to my dog's body isn't entirely an accurate comparison, but it's gotta be close enough.
Seriously guys, if you haven't thought about your weight loss along these terms, try it. It really helps put things in perspective. When I reach 39 lbs I will have lost both my dogs! (In a good way of course) It made me realize that 20 pounds is a big deal, it feels like alot when you pick it up and it looks like alot when you look at something else that is flesh and bone and weighs that much.
So, what person, place, or thing have you guys lost already?

Sorry for the lenght.

There is a website that I can't remember (sorry) where it actually gives you a list of equivalents of the weight you have lost. For example, I think I've lost a 6 year old child! lol...maybe somebody knows what that website is.

I do this but with blocks of velvetta cheese. I have lost 13 blocks of velvetta.
A few years ago I lost 90lbs..( to bad I gained it back) that is what my youngest child weighed at that time. It does really make you think when you put it in terms your eyes can see.
congrads.

My brother handed me a weight just yesterday. I could barely hold it.
He said "That's 40 lbs."
I said "I lost TWO of those?!".

They say a pound of fat is equivalent in size to a pound of butter. In 1997 when I had lost 93 pounds (all of which I gained back) one night I went tot he store late at night and put 93 pounds of butter into a grocery cart just to see what it looked like. Of course Iput them back into the dairy case. One day I stopped to pick up milk at the store after a weigh in. I have started parking at the far end of the parking lot. I carried the milk out to the car, a gallon in each hand and I though "Wow that is heavy!!" Then I realized I had already lost more than what those two gallons of milk weighed.

Usually we talk about gallons of milk (7lb) or the waterbottles in the cooler (30lbs) why we choose liquids I'm not sure!

My great revelation was when I lost the equivalent to a 50 pound bag of potatoes. I can't even lift a 50 pound bag of potatoes and yet I was hauling all that around lol. Didn't realize I was getting so strong until the hubby said WHAT ARE YOU DOING STOP THAT. I was carrying in 4 gallons of milk from the car into the house. Two in each hand and they didn't feel heavy in the least lol

When I had lost 50 lbs (the first time) I tried to life a huge bag of dog food and couldn't do it and I marveled at how I had ben carrying that around on my back. After a while I started carrying a back pack to work instead of a shoulder tote bag as a reminder.

Of course living in LA...I always joked that I had lost an Olsen twin.

A very long time ago I lost 100 pounds on Optifast. In the headiness of the moment I bought that amount in ice and took it with me to a family gathering. It was a lot of ice and cheap! I don't think I would ever do that again. (Famous last words) However, it was a moment I'll never forget, reveling in the accomplishment of meeting that goal. And in case you're wondering....I promptly put that weight back on within the next couple of years. At my ripe old age I understand more about the journey and the lifelong commitment and not just getting to the "finish line".

It really gets weird when you've lost more weight that you could physically pick up. I'm down like 4 sacks of concrete. No wonder I couldn't walk.

JulesCees, when my dad lost 120 pounds, we joked he lost a Backstreet Boy, lol.
Last year, I lost 7 five-pound bags of sugar.
