Well I woke up to screams from my daughter that our basement was flooded at 4 am. She had a field trip and went down to get her suit. We had a 3-4 inches of standing water at that time. IT covered my whole basement. We have lived here 18 yrs and have only had standing water 3 times. We have had a wet basement a few times but not standing water like this. Im worried about my new heater. I went and flipped the breaker to the basement.

battle_ glad things have calmed down for you and that your back on track.

dmpls- Kids are so busy these days..good way to keep them on the straight path. My daughter is headed to WKU today for FBLA convention. Are you getting all this rain?? We are on a delay this morning with school.

rosebud_ so nice to have you. We are neighbors. I live an hour from you.

realcnd-I love ginerale. I just happened to have cokes in the fridg already. My stomach is so much better today.

catherine _ i enjoy your stories so much.

ratkitten_ I am thinking my stomach issues maybe part of the flu bug and not just from all the meds. I kinda spent part of yesterday evening in the bathroom and now feel alot better>

Heather_ I am not sure how many pounds in a size but I was wearing a 26 pants and some were tight and this morning i tried on some 20s i had bought and they fit but dont look nice yet. I think I am going to sprluge this week and buy an outfit from walmart. I love the knit outfits in the bright colors. One new outfit to mix in wont hurt!! :O)

Have a great day everyone

I got the ISBN # assigned for my book today. That kind of makes it seem more real. I have to finish the last of the editing by the end of April so that it can go to be formatted. I still haven't decided on what I want the cover to look like. It sort of starting to get scary.

rainbowsmiles 03-19-2008 12:28 PM

Catherine..........how VERY exciting! I am looking forward to seeing all your clever wit on page! Cheerioooooooooooo and DOUBLE KUDOS TO YOU!

Catherine_ I am so happy for you. I know you must be so excited.

rainbowsmiles_ you looked awesome in the pictures...That must have been an amazing night!!!

Well my basement has drained now comes the fun of sweeping out the water before I can use the shop vac....fun fun.

Debbie54 03-19-2008 01:37 PM

heather dw, I've gone from a size 32 to 24 and I've lost 65 lbs, if that helps you figure out how much you need to lose before you can buy smaller clothes. Of course our height and body type play into that alot too. But maybe it will help to give you an idea.
Good news on the 12lbs gone!!

Anne, That's so interesting that the birds will let you take pics like that. We hope to have lots of birds this year too. I've made some birdhouses to put out so I'm hoping with those, and some bird seed, we will get some interesting birds. Usually it's crows, but we've seen some eagles, hawks, and red robins. The river we live close to, is known for the eagles hangout.

Debi, I hope your getting thru the floods ok.That's awful that someone would dig up your backyard like that even if it is along the property line. He could of at least informed you.
Glad to hear you're feeling better too.
I think the Easter basket for your grandchild is a great idea, even if he isn't here yet.
Sorry to hear about the basement. Stay safe and try to stay dry

Battleax, :woohoo: on being back OP. Feels great, doesn't it? Clothes are always an incentive for me.

Lauren, my in-laws live in Paducah. Small world huh? I wish I knew all you Kentuckians lived there when we were there in December. It would of been fun to meet up. Stay safe

Bernice, love the sexy little avatar! Congrats to your daughter AND to you for having to be the taxi mom.

rainbowsmiles, you look maaaaaaaaaaavalous!

Catherine, I can't wait for your book to be published! That is just so exciting and amazing.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. We're still going to go to the dump though since it's sunshiny out there. Grab it while we can. Doing great OP and water wise, just did weights last night.
Have a great day,
Debbie

Hi Peeps - just checking in quick. The sun is finally shining making everyone in a better mood after not seeing it for nearly 2 weeks.

Normally by now we are talking about opening the pool - guess I should see temperatures above 40 first.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

DMPLS 03-19-2008 03:16 PM

rainbow!!!!! You both looked awesome!!! loved it!

Bernice

TheWalrus 03-19-2008 03:18 PM

Howdy, all. It's raining here, too -- blah. I love to be indoors in the rain, but at home, not the office! Last night I had to go back and frog everything I'd knitted on my husband's sweater that evening -- let's just say that I can't count and leave it at that! I was proud, though, that I have been able to resist starting on a baby blanket and have continued to work on the four (!) current sweaters. We'll leave all the other unfinished projects out of this, thanks...;)

I've been walking on my busted leg since Friday, and today I was able to walk around my office using just one crutch and the back of the chair. I could even get some water to drink, which is good because we've run out of bottled, and I've been getting thirsty!

BattleAx, I need to get back OP, too -- want to do it together? I have a huge project that I have to finish tonight and tomorrow, but how does Monday sound for hitting the trail again? I've been trying to be more thoughtful, again, of what I eat now that I'm not just trying to get through another day. My local pizza place (since I can't carry anything, and I can't go grocery shopping, we've been eating a LOT of take-out and delivery -- ugh!) makes a fantastic chicken sandwich with lime chicken, pico de gallo, and avocado and lettuce. Yum. Of course, I probably shouldn't have eaten a cookie with it, but baby steps, right :)?

dogpal 03-19-2008 05:09 PM

Plum: Welcome. So glad you are here. The ladies on this site are so amazing and full of wonderful ideas and encouragement. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Heatherdw: glad you are happier again with your weight loss.

Sandy: Hi girl. Got my computer back the other day so an email is coming.

Angie: Wow! Congrats on the -5 pounds. You are doing so well.

Anne: Your bird nest sounds neat.

Carol: Congrats on your weigh in. Maybe next week will be the "week" to get under 300.

Rat: Great job on the working out.

Lauren: Welcome. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Catherine: Yeah on the book deal. I can't wait to buy your book.

Tina: So glad that your tummy is better.

Debbie: Please don't send any rain my way. :) Well, any more rain I should say.

debimitch: So sorry that your place is flooding.

Battle: Hope you are feeling back to your old self again soon.

DMPLS: Thank you so much for the avatar with the puppy. I love it and will put it on when I am not in a hurry. You are so sweet.

Rainbow: You look amazing! Thanks for sharing the photos.

Well, One more day here at this job then I'm out job searching myself. I may go see my Dad and Mom on Friday morning for the weekend and come back home on Monday. We'll see.

Blessings all,
Annie

It's hubby's birthday today. Some of his employees bought him this cake. I had one little piece earlier but then a normal sized piece after lunch.
To compensate, I had Subway for supper, so I stayed under 2k calories, but just barely. :o

It's been a long time since I've had a piece of cake that good.

dgramie 03-19-2008 07:11 PM

heather, Great job at making good choices to make up for the cake. I think that is what I love the most about counting calories...is if you eat to many one meal you can go lower the next meal.

Well I got the basement in pretty good shape and have fans drying it now. It could have been alot worse. Hubby had spent a few days in jan deep cleaning the basement so nothing was on the floor. Im hoping it warms up enough tommorow to open the windows down there.
After spending hours with a shop vac hubby decides today is the day i start back lifting...(it has been a week because of the flu) I was able to do my rountine but i can sure tell that i am weaker.
hope everyone has a great night.

babybear101 03-19-2008 07:48 PM

Good Afternoon everyone. It is still raining/snowing/confused in Ohio. Well first things first.... we signed the papers on the house. So shall begin the epic moving... uggh I hope I dont have to move for a very very very long time. Second, my stomach is so much better it is amazing. Of course I have completely avoided anything thing remotely related to dairy. Thirdly and the bad one... due to TOM and giving up dairy I have managed to find my way to the bottom of a bag of BBQ fritos this week. I will weigh when TOM is over and see where I am.

Catherine--- BIG congrats girl :carrot: FYI I am a boring housewife also :D

Annie -- Good Luck hon on the job hunt. I am going to start again myself here in about 2 months trying to get a teaching job for next year.

Heather -- Good job on eating, just remember dont cut your calories tooo low.

Well, off to snuggle with the puppy.

Tina

worthapenny 03-19-2008 07:48 PM

Hey all!
It was a good day for me today I about have all my water in. Yesterday I had a yearly checkup at the Dr. (you all know what that was!) Yeah! It went well so glad that is done for another year. Tomorrow the kids will be home for spring break until Tuesday! They may go to grand parents for a couple of days. The house would be quiet! Yeah! We are having trouble with the truck transmission and it is almost camping time! Hopefully we can get it done in the next week or so. My hubby said I have to keep working so we can pay for it HA! HA!. He is so funny. We are supposed to go and pick up the new transmission on Saturday, but the old one is not out yet. EEK! He only has a couple of days and he said today he was having trouble with the hoist in the shop. The mechanic was going to call around to a couple of friends to see if they could help him out. I sure hope so! I took Saturday off of work so we could leave early early! As it is a 6 hour trip one way to pick it up. So no stress here. Hubby is in San Francisco and not home until late Fri. night. He is not happy about it not being out yet! Good thing he is there and not here. I am the one with all the patience. Well, I hopeit will be a good week for everyone and I will check in when I can, as I put in a lot of hours at work and then the day begins when I get home. You moms know that! Keep exercising I am proud of all of you!!!!

worthapenny 03-19-2008 07:50 PM

I almost forgot!

<<<<<<<< look DMPLS I figured it out and put the avatar on! Thanks!!!

sandybar 03-19-2008 08:20 PM

Just a note to say Hi
I was much more op today & yesterday than monday.
Lots of drama here. sd, my sister's and getting
business taken care of my the burial of my mom's ashes
in alabama 4/19.
pretty ugly by one sis.
then dh & i were interested in a business opportunity
and it looks like it was a scam. i do have plenty of time to
cancel my "membership" (2 more days & will do it tomorrow if
not tonight by paying to fax paper work.)
I've already talked to my credit card company, so they are aware,
but the charge has to be put through first and then a dispute filed.
i'm really bummed about it. i feel stupid for not trusting my initial
instincts, disappointed that some people are so dishonest.
i guess we'll see how this plays out with the dispute and all.
hope all of you are having a much better day than me.

sandybar 03-19-2008 08:30 PM

Carol. dmpls, Debi, penny

ok, all y'all's avatars are beautiful/gorgeous.
how do you do it??

RealCdn 03-19-2008 08:35 PM

Good evening all,

I'm so organized today it's not funny. Well, not organized but I did both sets of taxes and filed them electronically. We're both getting some money back so early is better! The long term forecast actually looks good (hooray), although I do know it's probably inaccurate. For now though, I'll take it.

Lauren - we all have bad days when we wonder if it's all worth it. I think the answer is that it is. Glad you're feeling better today.

Debi - We've worked so hard outside to try and avoid water (shoveling snow, chipping ice, and even putting a couple of bucket down to catch dripping water). Today I chucked about 5 gallons of water into the pool. Hey, it's not me who opens it! I suspect without that we would have water in the basement again. Of course, that won't help if the water table rises. Hope the new heater is fine.

Rainbowsmiles - the limo looks wonderful, as does the dress. So wonderful to have a night on the town.

Catherine - Are you going to tell us when it's out?

Debbie - some of the doves are far more laid back than others. That one was our first nester. I would talk to her everyday as I worked on the patio. She was pretty much there during the time I was cleaning out the raspberry patch, getting pots ready to plant. I don't know why but she liked me better than my mother. It could be because I was simply around her more, or that I talked to her. She had no issues with me getting close, but when my mother tried it she would fidget, and my mother would stop. Others have been a mixed bag, although the one at the front door was obviously less shy as well.

Annie - best of luck with the search. I thought you had a possible on the hook. Is it still a possible?

Tina - not that I'm recommending them as a steady diet, but some sorbets and gelatos don't have any dairy in them. There also used to be a soy product ice cream. I'm not sure that this is the one I've seen, but here's one: http://www.turtlemountain.com/index.html Just found the one I've had - http://www.sogoodbeverage.com/ (In fact I think the next time I'm craving ice cream I'll see if they have the boysenberry swirl in stock at the local store.)

Penny - I do hope that you get your truck problems sorted out. It never seems to be simple, does it.

Well gals, I should go collect the garbage and haul it to the curb. I should have done this earlier, but we both forgot. So much for being organized!

NotTheCheat 03-19-2008 10:39 PM

Battle – Happy belated birthday!!!!!!

Rainbow – You look absolutely gorgeous in your pic and how cool is your hubby for setting up such a special date!

Carol – Darn that scale! I am so sorry it is being such a meanie to you. Maybe you should use Catherine’s method of threatening it?

I have just caught up reading and I am now going to stop apologizing for not being around so much. It just is what it is at the moment. I do love knowing that this place is here and I still think of it in many ways as my anchor, but I am afraid I am a bit distracted at the moment. It is a good distraction though. I have been getting to know this new boy (well, I really shouldn’t call him a boy, but rather a man) and we are really hitting it off. I am getting more comfortable with feeling a bit out of control. I guess like anything else you just need to build up a skill for it.

I did have a few amazing workouts recently. Monday I did both my hour dance class and then an hour on the elliptical and yesterday my dance class went 70 minutes and I did another half hour. I am feeling pretty good and I am hoping to see the scale move soon, but I have also been eating out a good bit and consuming a bit more alcohol than normal, so that will make things tougher.

I am really looking forward to spring and getting out and enjoying the outdoors.

Heather 03-19-2008 11:00 PM

Nancy -- I haven't been around much later either! No need to apologize!

I'm on break from classes this week. I'm working, just not as hard. Getting lots of other errands -- and some clothes shopping! -- done. It's nice to have a little breather from the stress.

JuleeCeeS 03-20-2008 01:19 AM

Short and sweet....

I have my period.
I lost .4 lbs anyways.
Someone in the meeting tonight asked me for advice and was impressed with my tracker...made me feel good.

Someone at work told me I looked skinny.

BattleAx 03-20-2008 01:44 AM

Hi Chickies,

I am feeling strong again and very motivated and committed to losing the next 10 lbs. I had a little whoosh last night--couldn't stop going #1, which is my sign that a weight loss is occuring. That gave me the courage to weigh myself this morning. After my whoosh the end result is that I'm up 4 lbs. from my ticker weight, and I'm ok with that. I know I can continue in the right direction.

Unfortunately, I feel I may be coming down with something. My throat is raw. Darn! I was sick only a month ago.

Is someone going to clue me in on how to get the personalized avatars?

Debbie: Good job keeping up with exercise and staying OP. I hope you are feeling better.

Walrus: There's no time like the present! Why wait until Monday? As long as I am not sick I am going to get in a good workout tomorrow. You can do it too!

Annie: Have a great last day at work. There will be a new, better job soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy your visit with your parents.

Debimitch: Glad you got the basement back in order. I hope you feel stronger soon.

Anne: Wow, you were productive! I'm tired just reading about your day.

Nancy: Awesome update! I'm happy for you. Have fun!

BattleAx 03-20-2008 01:46 AM

Rainbow: Wow wow wow! Your DH deserves a prize for that evening! How fun is that. You both look smashing. In your pictures you look a little like Jan from the Brady Bunch.

DMPLS 03-20-2008 06:46 AM

Battle-the personalized avatars were my doing....if you would like one let me know your favorite flower and/or animal/pet......or anything else you like...I chose flowers for spring/easter theme.

ohhh and whether you want it to have your first name or your nickname on here.

Well I made fish salsa last night for DH & DD and was watching a light cooking show the other day.....they talked about making tostadas by baking them! LOL never in a million years would I have thought of that! (being Mexican I only know how to make greasy tostada shells LOL) they came out great! DH loved it! made some more of my spanish rice but thought hey why use any oil(even if it is EVOO) I just sprayed the pan with a good coating of Pam and browned the rice with that! It came out the same and wayyyyyyyy less fat grams!

ok so this afternoon Im going to find the batteries for the scale!!! its driving me nuts!!! LOL & DH is getting discouraged he keeps checking it and it keeps going wayyyy up or then wayyyy down like 3-5lbs LOL

My Cell phone decided to stop working last night! I have a phone that flips open.....I was on a call and hit the end button still holding it open waiting on a call....then all the lights went out on it.....I tried everything to get it working....even took out the battery it works as long as I don't shut the flip lid!!! so I called the company & they transfered me to the Insurance company (which I pay on the phone for such a time as this) Well the insurance company said since I could not pinpoint an incident(it getting dropped prior to the malfunction or water spilling on it...ohhh or if it had been stolen prior to it not working) they could not fix it!!!!!! OHHHH I'm sooooo upset over this! WHY am I paying insurance to replace my phone if something goes wrong with it???? I called the phone company back and even their customer rep. was blown away with the idea that they wouldn't replace the phone!!! They suggested I take it to the repair place and that they would be able to fix the phone.....I'm just so ticked right now about this!!! I feel like calling the Insurance company back and saying ohhh yeah my DD just informed me she dropped the phone when she was bringing it to me JUST before it stopped working! I even asked the lady on the phone, so if I had said the phone fell prior to it stopping you would of taken care of it? She said yes that would of been an incident.......I told her It has fallen but, it didn't happen just before it stop working....she said then it is not an incident and we cant do anything about that! GRRRRRR

Ok gotta go get dressed for work! DH just called me, he is at work and when he took his key out of the ignition he said the keychain was aweful heavy for his keys.........because he has my set of keys!!!! well that means I don't have keys to my car! cause he doesn't have an extra set of mine on his keychain which is sitting on the counter!!! LUCKILY DS #1 is here today for his opservation hours for teaching......he was planning on going to his old HS today.....so he will be able to drive me in!!! My dd started Dh's car this morning to warm it up for him..........but used my keychain instead of his.....if this had happened any other morning I would of been hurting for a ride into work!!!!

ok toodles peeples!

Bernice

gggirls 03-20-2008 07:19 AM

Good morning Peeps - the birds are singing early this morning. Maybe spring is really in the air (except for the predicted snow on Sunday).

I've been reading trying to keep up with everyone. The issue with the scale this week hit me a bit more than I originally expected. I'm trying hard to work through that - it's been very emotional for me - apparently I'm not past this as I'm tearing up just telling you all about it this morning. I've been sending myself all the personal messages I would send to each of you in the same situation - this too will pass. It didn't help that last night my sister was here - as she was leaving she told me if she keeps gaining weight she will need to borrow the pants I had on that are obviously too small for me - these are the pants I have had altered taking 6 inches out of them. They are not too small for me! In fact I am noticing a difference in how they fit already from the alterations.

I had a great workout on Tuesday night and hope to do the same tonight. Today is my Friday and I have lots of things planned for tomorrow and getting ready for the weekend. I may even go shopping for a little treat that is not shoes or purses. Today I am wearing a blouse I haven't wore since we were in Mexico in December - it seems to fit a bit looser - how did I ever wear it last summer with nearly 50 additional pounds. Maybe today will be the day someone from work notices.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

dgramie 03-20-2008 07:21 AM

Happy SPring everyone,

dmpls_ good thing your son is home to drive you. I hate when someone is trying to be nice and it ends up going wrong. I have alot of trouble with my cellphone shutting off. I cant wait to get a new phone.

Annie- good luck on your last day at work and with the job search.

babybear-We are having really strange weather around here. I was scared we might end up with icy roads this morning but the wind picked up yesterday and dried the roadways.

wothapenny-good luck getting your truck fixed.

Sandy- I cant take credit for the avitar...dmpls is very talented and made it for me.

realcdn-way to go on getting taxes done and filled. I hate that kind of thing and both my oldest kids are accounting majors. My middle child is actually doing an internship for an accounting firm right now doing taxes. I am so thankful they got their dads math mind( not mine).

Nancy- glad to hear things are going good with your new guy. Have fun!!!

Heather_ glad to hear your having a nice break from school. My daughter inlaw is a teacher and she is counting the days till her spring break! I run an inhome daycare and have mainly teachers kids and I am looking forward to my break also. I plan on doing some spring cleaning during mine.

heather_dw 03-20-2008 09:42 AM

Blargh.
I was hoping this would be the cycle/month to get that ++++ Pregnancy test but nope, looks like the ol' period is coming.
:(

I'm trying to be more positive about things. "Well, no matter what happens, I am losing weight!" Of course, no change today. Still sitting at 322.2

TheWalrus 03-20-2008 10:02 AM

Hi everyone:

Overdid it on the leg yesterday and had to take some painkillers to sleep -- yuck (these are the ones that just kill my stomach for 2 or 3 days after I take them). I'm trying to slowly work up to more and better things, but I now have clear evidence of what happens when I push too hard! Also have a huge project due today that is NOT done, and another, almost-done, project due tomorrow. Tonight will be the first night we've done yoga since I broke the leg -- not too many standing poses, I'm thinking! Luckily, this weekend is a weekend away -- we're taking off right after work on Saturday and going to one of our favorite relaxation spots -- and no wheelchair! Monday, I'm thinking life returns to normal :)

BattleAx, excellent news about your workout! Go, go, go!!! I'll join you on Monday :)

BattleAx 03-20-2008 10:20 AM

Hi everyone,

As of this morning I am only 1 lb over ticker weight. It feels good to be back in the ballpark. Given the way my body usually works, it could be a month or more until another whoosh comes and I lose more weight. I'm ok with that, as long as the scale moves eventually. Luckily, in my climate, my new Spring clothes will be appropriate to wear through October. So if it's May until they fit, I still have months of wear ahead.

Have a great day everyone.

rainbowsmiles 03-20-2008 10:53 AM

carol....i had to laugh when i read the part about the ...not shoes or purses...haha...oviously you watched TBL too! Nigel laughed and said, sooooooo is that why you have so many shoes and purses?? hahaha I never really thought about it before but its true, purses and shoes always seem to fit! I say to you....go out and buy yourself something fabulous....something you've always wanted...or something you never thought you'd ever pick out for yourself. I normally reach for dark colors...Nigel said, gee susan, is that all you ever wear??? Don't you have anything red or yellow?? haha Well, I know it was black, but the dress I got for our night out on the town was so elegant. I hae never allowed myself to dress up because I always feel so uggg and fru fru...but I felt like a lady that night. I am a LONG way from where I need to be, still, I am gaining confidence each week. Before, I would NEVER ever....have worn a dress out in public that only had tiny straps and NO sleeves! Nigel said that we need to "own" our femininity. Who made him so smart! haha I know how disappointed you are right now with that blasted scale. I wish I could just come over and heat you up like a candle and melt away that one pound just to get that blasted three off that digital screen. Just KNOW THIS....IT WILL HAPPEN!! IT WILL. Keep the FAITH!

Bernice, so sorry about your cell phone. That is nuts about the insurance but my son had a similar experience, and he kept calling and complained t each "higher up" personel and they finaly replaced his at no charge. It is frustrating. Thank you for your kinds words. Read below for the story of the night! It was amazing!

awww Walrus...I must have missed that you broke your leg! OUCH! So glad you are healing well. I'm sending you some energy over the net in hopes to help you get those projects done on time!! Good luck!

heather-dw...

Sandra...thank you for your kind words. Nigel and I love to do surprises for each other. We are good at keeping secrets...and we don't pry when we suspect something is going on! I knew he was up to something! Going out shopping is something I have never enjoyed but I have to admit that after several specialty plus size stores, a trip to the mall, and then a few other places, I was exhausted but in the end, I love my dress. It is the most elegant dress (other than my wedding dress) that I have ever owned! I just don't do dresses! He had made reservations at the Hotel downtown charleston, called The Elliott House Inn, which is the first hotel we stayed at when we first came to visit charleston upon our decision to relocate here. This date was the one year anniversary to the night he proposed to me. We dined at the same restaurant where he proposed at the exact same table! It was so cool. The restaurant is about 10 blocks from the hotel, so when we were dressed, and went outside, he stopped us to take some pics, (unknown to me, delaying us a few minutes) and then I was wondering why we weren't going to the parking garage to get the car...and I was thinking, oooh crap, I can't walk that far in these shoes!! Nigel loves to walk...I hate to walk! Nigel is british, and in europe everyone walks just about everywhere! haha Well, then here comes this Limo pulling up in traffic and I jokingly said, oh look, there is our ride! haha And he said, Glad you approve! Then the Limo stopped and the drier got out to open the door, and I was standing there with my mouth hanging open! I said, OMG....are you serious! So we hopped in, and off to the restaurant we went. After dinner, the Limo came back...it was the coolest experience...and I can't even imagine that before losing 39 pounds I would have even had the confidence to know that people were starring at me...but this night, I didn't care....I felt like a celebrity! So we drove down to the "battery" which is the park were we were married, and again we got out, and went up to the gazebo where we were married...and had a slow dance. He sang while we danced...You are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker. Yes I cried. Then we hopped in the Limo again and went to another park of downtown that has these swings like huge porch swings made for three or four people. And we swang in the moonlight looking out over the harbor and the river and you can see the huge suspension bridge from there and the USS Yorktown ship, and it was just romantic. Then we hopped back in the limo and went to a place called wet willie's for a frozen drink called sex on the beach...but they wouldn't let us take it out...so we left. Then our Limo driver said, where are your drinks and we said, they said we couldn't take out the open containers...so he wheels around the block, goes in and comes back with our drinks! I declare, I said to Nigel, this is what rich people must feel like! Just "snap" your fingers and get what you want! haha Then our driver drove out to the beach, and we walked on the beach and of course I had to take off my shoes because I love feeling the sand between my toes! It was quite breezy but I didn't care! After that, we rolled up the privacy window in the Limo, and while I am not a member of the mile high club...as if I even could in those teeny tiny airplane bathrooms, I must say that there is a LOT of room in the back of a 10 person Limo! haha <blush> After we got back to the hotel we slipped into the hot tub for a relaxing soak and I felt like Cinderella the whole night. We had breakfast the next morning in our room, and then walked around town a bit, and then after lunch Nigel brought me home and then went to work! I'm still pinching myself. I love surprises!
ps...I'm so gald you are feeling better

Julee....woohoo on the poundage lost....every little bit counts you know! Keep smiling and know that you are looking amazing!

Nancy, thanks for your sweet PM...and for your kinds words. I know exaclty how you are feeling right now, as you "flirt" with the concept of gaining a new relationship....I pray that you find that one man who makes your heart go pitter patter! Trust your instincts! YOU are one amazingly intelligent lady and so your instincts will steer you in the right direction. KUDOS for your awesome workouts!!!!!!!!!!

Grumble, grumble. I tried the exercise bike today and lasted a whole 2 minutes before my broken leg cramped up. It's been cramping more and more -- even when I'm just sitting. The top of my cast also was rubbing when I was pedaling.

My husband thought maybe I could use the elliptical (very, very gently!), but because this cast makes my leg stiff, I couldn't go very fast. In fact, the machine thought I had paused it! So now what? I guess I need to persuade my husband to go walking with me -- even though it will be sloooooooowwww for him -- until my leg stops cramping? Anyone else out there ever have this issue?

Rainbow What a lovely couple you two make. And you're just beautiful. What a beautiful
evening you had. I'm so glad it was just perfect. Hugs to Nigel from me for a
job well done.

Debbie54 I'm so sorry you're feeling bad. I had it and I was really sick about 5 days.
But still really tired after that. Make sure you drink tons of fluids. I think
that's what saved me.

Annie Hope your week is going well. My work day was ok. Everyone was really
hateful and grouchy and I got yelled at literally yelled a minimum of three times.
But I totally didn't care. I feel great! (just got tom last night and I usually feel
emotionally great that day. It'll be exciting to be job searching again. Really.
You always learn and grow so much as a person in the process. And, think of
how much stronger you are now than when you first started to think about
going back to work. You're truly an inspiration.

Battle I'm so proud of your re found commitment. Isn't it weird how we get in the
dumps and then we're ready to go again. I don't understand it. It must be
hormonal or something. I struggled over the weekend, and them tom was several
days early. Today, I feel I can do anything.

Julee Just think what the scale will say when tom is over. I held steady so I'm looking
forward to weighing in on Sunday.

Debi M I'm so sorry about your basement. What a drag. What a mess. If we lived closer,
I really would come over to help. Bug  to you.

Nancy I love reading your posts. You are sounding so, so happy.

Hi Heather Glad you get a break from all the stress. Glad you're shopping is all done too.
It's fun now isn't it??

Ammi & Sharon I haven't seen any posts from you two. I'll email you later when I can.

Bernice You are so wonderfully talented! All the avatars are just wonderful.

Walrus You poor thing. I'm so sorry. Can you get a banana for the potassium? Maybe that might help.

Ok, I gotta get dinner on the table. It's late already. Oh, more drama with my sisters.
It's silly. Too much stupidness for me. Our trip next month will probably be ...not fun.
I have AMAZING news. :carrot::bravo::cb::cp::hat::dance::dancer::dancer ::flow2::goodvibes:hyper::twirly::cheer2::cheers:: broc::cheer::cheer::rofl:
Hateful, evil, lying sd is moving to her oldest sisters. (the one who had the wedding in July that I made the cake for) TONIGHT!!!!!!! Like in a few minutes. Do you know how happy I am???
I'm really glad to see the stress leave Andy too. It's validating to know it wasn't me that is the problem.
Ok, I really gotta go.
Til later

texarkgal 03-20-2008 08:43 PM

Sandy: :woohoo: on hateful, evil, lying sd moving. I'm sure it will make the upcoming trip and it's drama easier if things are peaceful at home before and after the trip.
