Default Back again!

Hello!

This is my third time coming back to this board. Every other time I've tried to lose weight, something happens and I go off track..stop coming to the boards, and can never seem to get back on track. I am the definition of a stress-eater, thats for sure. And I've had lots of stress these past few months

BUT I have decided that 2008 is going to be a different year for me! I've already made some big changes in my life and I feel...optimistic about losing weight, which is something I never really felt before, even on WW and such. I am just so damn determined that this year will be different than the last few in all aspects of my life, and that it cant come about without making changes..so here I am again

I've decided that WW and other programs didnt really work for me in the past, so Im doing my own thing this time around. I dont know my weight yet..but I'm ordering a brand new scale. Woo. Like everyone, getting on that scale is the first big step to take

Anyways..just wanted to say hi! Hope everyone had a great New Years

Default Welcome Brokenbutterfly

I am too used to the try and fail...I tired ww and did not succeed. I am doing my own thing this time too. What really made me realize I needed to change and start this thing is that I stepped on my scale and it read E...E for error.... to my horror AGGGHHH is it really that bad? Yes it is. This is the year the year of change!!! Good luck to you Beautifulbutterfly!

Best of luck this time around. I tried a couple of different things my first (real) attempt a while back. I did low-fat vegetarian - which worked like a charm, but I ended up dreaming of meat! I did South Beach, but then I dreamed of fruit. This time I'm just calorie-counting, and moving more. I'm also compulsively planning what I eat, but strangely that seems to help.

Catherine - Sorry I missed you post originally. Welcome back! Stress is a huge trigger for me too - I think for a lot of us. It sounds like there are some really positive things going on in your life and that definitely helps on the weight loss front. Please join us on the main threads!
