Hi all,

Well, today was day 1 OP. Yahoo! And I added 30 minutes of biking as well. Very happy about that. Now that our basement is done, we are working very hard at making this a habit. I haven't weighed lately, but since I am in the middle of TOM, who knows?

Not much time for personals, but wanted to let you all know the good news about being OP, and hope you are all well.

Meta-Yikes, I hate it when people mess in my mouth, so I imagine that having an infection in there is no fun.

Carol-If I tried to take a bath, there would be fire department rescue and news camera involved by the end of the night. My idea of a relaxing evening is some Contemporary Christian music on my mp3 player, and a puzzle book.

Annie-I hope I am just tired or worn out. I actually have a sore spot on the top of my head, and I have this fear I might have dinged it getting up from the plane seat. I’m not exactly short or graceful, and I don’t bend like I used to when I was younger. Hitting my head even a little can cause me some confusion.

Ammi-I hope you have fun. Wear a Halloween hat, and everyone will just think you’re in makeup of some sort. Being stared at isn’t any fun, but at least this time it won’t be because of your hips.

Angie-You’ve got one day OP more than I have at this point. Way to go, and keep at it.

I have given up trying to work tonight. I’m going to settle in, and try again in the morning. Sometimes with head injuries, you do lose some cognitive ability as the day wears on, and you get tired.

Good Morning!:coffee:

Just a quickie to say  and :congrat: to our loyal Red Sox fans!!
Things are status quo here, although I was not ready to see the frost on the
pumpkin this morning!!
Took Jack to the vet yesterday for his 3rd vaccine and all he has left is a rabies shot next week and the scissors in January. I am happy because all these vists are costing a fortune!!!:yikes: But I know it is necessary to keep the little guy healthy. He is so freakin cute, it kills me!! I love it when he sees me and he gets this look on his face like he is saying " My Mommy!!" Amazing how they crawl right into your heart.

Have a Great Day!:cheer2:

PS-Ammi: I hope you are feeling better and have a WONDERFUL time at the park!!

PPS-:welcome3: to our Newbies!

Angie: Way to go being op and doing all that biking. I hope you post it on our exercise board. You don't have to set a goal just post your minutes if you want. It is really fun the more you exercise and move your body to see your own personal progress. When I started I could only do 5 minutes on the bike so my monthly exercise was sooooo low. I'm glad you are doing so well. :D

Catherine: I hope you didn't bump your noodle! Please rest up just in case.

Donna: You are such a good mommie to Jack. He is lucky to have you. I know you are a great mommie to your "non-fur-baring" babies too.;)

Sahron: :carrot:Congrats on another -5! You are doing so great. Keep up the great work.

Well, I'm off to work out today with the personal trainer this morning at 9:15 then at the other gym by myself. Today my DH is 43! It is amazing because when we got married he was just turning 21 lol. Time sure goes by quickly.

Everyone have a great op, exercise filled day.
Blessings,
Annie

Happy Tuesday!! One tired WI chick checkin in today. Watched all of the football game last night. Can't believe the Packers pulled it off in OT.:carrot:
It is going be another beautiful day where I am so i'm going to walk and try for 40 minutes.

 to all that stop by today. Make it a great one.

Hi everyone,

Today continues the story of dragging pants. Yesterday, there had to be 4-6" of length below my heels! Today, I'm wearing my "skinny jeans" haha, a 26 Tall pair that is cut small and made out of old-fashioned thick and non-stretchy jean material. They fit well, as my tummy is the problem area and the jeans fit just about right around the middle. But, there is a good 1-2" dragging on the ground, under my heels!

My pants legs are growing, or I'm losing the wrong kind of inches off my legs! When this is over, I may have shrunk from 5'10 to 4'10! lol

The scale is creeping down a bit, and I'm guessing that after TOM I'll see a little whoosh (thanks Peggy for that word) of a few pounds. It won't be long until I reach the 50 lbs. mark, and not much longer after that I'll be out of morbid obesity. Wow. I just need to keep working the plan and those accomplishments can be mine.

Realist: congrats on staying OP! Keep it up.

Catherine: Hope you got a good night's rest, and are feeling better today. I'm sending a special order to Himself to not create any more work for you.

Donna: Jack is a lucky little kitty, to be in your home.

Sharon: Great job, and congratulations on 5 lbs. gone! What are we going to do about your internet connection? I think we should send hate mail to your provider.

Annie: I'm in awe that you've been together with hubby that long. It amazes me when people meet and marry young, and stay together. I was a complete wreck at that age, and couldn't have stayed in a relationship to save my life. You must be great together.

Jessiebug: Hi! Rest up tonight!

Toofat: Glad to hear your bronchitis is on the mend.

Hi and hugs to everyone else. My replies are only to the posters on this page--ran out of time!

Have a great OP day!

dogpal 10-30-2007 04:08 PM

:witch:Hello Gouls and Boils.

Jessie: I hope you make your 40 minute walk. Way to go.

Patti:

Battle: I'm so glad that you are talking about dragging pants because I'm so dull that I couldn't figure out why my pants were suddenly wayyyyyy tooo long. lol. Duh! How exciting for you. I guess I better try on some different pants and hope at the clothing exchange tonight there will be some more 26's there. Congrats on the scale being down. My Hubby is the BEST:D I am so very lucky to have him.

Well, I managed to go work out with the personal trainer for 20 excruciating minutes of weight lifting then I went and swam for 45 minutes. I feel happy about that and I will jump on the bike. I am sooo close to my exercise goal for this month and I will need every minute of tomorrow's exericise to make the goal. Hope you are all well and happy.

Blessings,
Annie

Peggy – I LOVE your new avatar. You look great!

Catherine – That picture of you and your DH is just wonderful. You are looking really good – I agree that it looks like you have lost weight. What an exciting event!

Debbie – What a difference in your pics! :woohoo:

It was a bit rough for me at my parents’ over the weekend. The thing is that I know a lot of it has nothing to do with them now. In the past I have blamed their eating habits on my excesses while visiting, but while some of it is true it is just an excuse. For example, my step-mother and I went grocery shopping on Friday afternoon and I ended up buying myself a cookie. That had nothing to do with eating meals with my family. I think part of it is that because of the large meals I get into an "all or nothing" mentality while I visit them. Also, I always thought it was my mother that I had food issues with, but now I am realizing it is my dad too. I need to work on this now and try to sort it out before my next trip. I made it to the gym the first day, and then didn’t do anything else after that.

I also think I am fighting off something (my step-mother was sick this weekend) and that is making it tough to get back into things full swing. I have to go buy candy tonight to hand out tomorrow, but I will get something I don’t care for (Skittles or something fruity – no chocolate!).

Hi All,
Today was NOT an op day. We had a bake sale to support our local humane society (aka dog pound). I was fine, doing just wonderful. .....until I smelled the peanut butter fudge. So, I'll be back on tomorrow! :club:
Catherine, On no, there were tons of us with the World Series Hangover. But it was worth it. Yes, there are a lot of Indian Fans here. So of the discussions got pretty heated, but I was not included in those thank goodness.
I'm sorry you're feeling out of sorts. At least himself LOOKED for the item instead of repeating, "I can't find blah, blah, blah."til you get mad and go look for it. lol :blah:
MetaChick~ OMG, I'm so sorry about your infection. I had to go to the dentist today and he said I have an injury to my gum, but it looks like it's on the mend. I hope your gets well fast. I know how bad they hurt. Hope you fell better soon. :getwell:
GGG, The baby is actually suppose to come for a visit today. Her dad is on the phone with her right now. Somehow, I don't think she's coming over. .......Nope, she's sleeping. I wonder if it has anything to do with that jerk of a boyfriend she has and him wanting her to stay on his 2nd shift schedule.:barf::rolleyes::bomb::chin:
Annie, Thanks for the update on Ammi. I sure hope she has a great time. She deserves a great time. :hat:
Angie, Keep up the good work! :cp:
Sharon, :woohoo: Way to go being op!!! Great loss!!
Jessie, Football is actually my favorite sport, my second is baseball. My football team is the NY Giants and I love Michael Strahan and Jeremy Shockey!:love:
Patty, Glad you're feeling better.
Nancy, Feel better soon. :getwell:

Gotta go everyone. I'm still beat and not sleeping well. :tired:
Til tomorrow!

Annie-I had him look, and my head has a 2 inch L shaped cut on the top, and is red/bruised. I don’t even remember doing it. It doesn’t hurt as much today, but I really don’t like the fact that I don’t remember doing it. I did get some school work done today, so I was able to think clearly after a good night’s sleep, and he was gone this morning, so I could work in peace without being chased.

Battle-I once keep taking up a favorite pair of pants, and eventually the crotch hung down to my knees like something out of Arabian Nights. I finally had to let them go. I’m feeling better today. Your special order didn’t help. I got hit with a 1500 word article for the op-ed page to edit. His stuff reads like stereo instructions, and I put them into real English. He does let me spend the money he makes from it though. This one is my Christmas budget.

Nancy-There are people, places and things that cause over eating. For me, it is my mother, buffets, and travel. Even when my mom wasn’t doing anything, just being in her house set off my stuff. It’s like an album with a scratch, and no matter how hard you try to move it over, it keeps slipping back.

Sandy-I’ve never understood fighting angrily about sports stuff. I’m one of those who roots for good plays on both sides. Of course, that only counts for watching sports. Playing sports is a different matter entirely. I didn’t end up with all these concussions playing nice.

I have purchased NO Halloween candy this year. That’s two in a row. It is wonderful living in a security building where only residents can come knock on the door, and the only child in the building is 18 months old, and in China right now. I do miss giving out candy, and seeing the costumes, but I did not need that much chocolate laying around.

Unbelievable - here I am at 323 lbs. Today we got our cruise documents and started planning shore excursions. My hubby really wants to do horseback riding which has a 220 lb weight limit. Then there's me that said - I really don't want to do that. I think he's clueless as a thin person with no concept - or else he plays dumb really really well.

It is exciting to think its only 6 weeks away - 14 lbs to go. That's super fantastic motivation for me - even with Thanksgiving in there.

Hope all are good - welcome back Nancy.

Hi all,

Day 2....OP!! Yahoo! And 30 minutes on the bike again....for 7.6 miles. The really good news. I had NO desire to work out, but did anyway. DH said "are you ready?" and away we went. My butt is twitching a little, but oh well. I wanna get to the 350s sometimes soon. Actually I would like to get to the 200s, but apparently baby steps are required.

I am tired and a little headachy, so not too much typing tonight, but had to post so I can see if I can get a good trend going.

Hello my peeps,

Just a quickie flyby. Today, I went to a conference from hades. It was held in an 1807 historic mansion with NO HEAT. Apparently, heat does not bode well for historic places. My toes disagreed. The really bad news was that there was a candy dish on each table and filled repeatedly. My tummy is hurting from all the sweets I ate. I did bring my lunch and had made plans to eat healthy. Oh well. At least I didn't eat the offered lunch (lots of bread and simple carbs). I'm not sure if there's been an eating day this bad in a while. Not beating myself up, just stating a fact. I know there's TOM lurking around this week too.

Hugs and luv to all! Will catch up tomorrow on personals... take care of yourselves!!!
