Heather: Walking is just about all I can do right now. lol. No bending, lifting anything over 5 pounds, no stretching etc. So, walking it is. Congrats on just saying no to the treats. You are really a new person!
Brenda: Sorry that your camping trip didn't go so well. That is a bummer when it rains, might as well pack it in and go home I think. Thanks for telling us about the Biggest Looser. I like that show too and enjoy watching it. I have only been watching a bit of tv so I will have to tivo it so I can watch it when I'm awake. Catherine: Hugs and I am doing my best to take it easy. You my friend do the same. I am praying for you to be feeling better and staying/getting healthier soon. Debbie: Yeah! I am so proud of you for exercising two days in a row. Keep up the wonderful work. I promise it gets easier and easier and who knows, you may even look forward to it. lol. Val: Great job walking away from the cake monster! You are doing so well and isn't it a wonderful feeling when you are in control and not the food! Hugs. Xena: Oh, don't compare to me about exercise. I have to walk to keep the blood clots away. That being said, I know you can do it sweetie. Come on you can do it! I have truly no idea what happened to my sister except to say that she is extremely selfish and as my DH said, she is very consistant in her actions. She is always letting me down. I have never asked her for anything before and I can tell you that I won't ever ask her for anything ever again! She has really messed some things up for me as far as driving to here and there that I need to go but, oh well, life goes on. Soulbliss: Welcome back. It sounds like you have a wonderful plan. I think that helps bunches. Bodytoo: Congrats on your move and also on your diet going well. I'm so very sorry about your BF doing what he did. BIg huge hugs to you. All I can say is I hope you continue to lose weight and show that butt head just one of the many things he is missing not being with you. You are a sweetheart with tons to offer. Hang in there doll. Storey: Hugs and thanks. Sorry about the +4 but at least you know it is TOM. I'm sure your surgeon will understand too. Ratkitten: ooo. A bike tour sounds so fun. I will be crossing my fingers that TOM gets out of the way before then for you. Peggy: Of coarse we missed you bunches! So glad you are back. How are things going? Meta: I almost cried about your NSV. I just am so happy for you. I love baths and what you said about loosing your gender and feeling "girly" again is so great. I can't wait to feel "girly" I usually just feel like an "it". I can't wait to try to fit in our tub here at home and have a bit of room to spare. lol. Thank you so much for sharing that NSV with us. Hugs. Nancy: Hugs to you and a big whoop whoop on keeping your word to your ex about helping him move. I don't think I would have been so inclined to help and ex anything. lol. You are an amazing woman. Hope you get a chance to "soak" today too. Battle: sorry that your weekend was a bad one. Congrats on the fitness getting better though. What a great feeling to have. I hope you walk up and down the streets of San Francisco and give um heck! Well, I woke this morning with a huge headache that just wouldn't go away until I finally took a tylenol a bit ago and another 1/4 of a high blood pressure medicine. My BP was 156/110!!!!! I have never had BP that high before. Yesterday it was 104/59. I have a sneaking suspision that the veggie broth that I sipped on right before bedtime was not lo sodium. Thankfully my BP is back to normal now. No more high sodium broth for me without diluting it with water or something. lol. I haven't been feeling so great all of today and have not gotten in a walk because of it. I am feeling better now so I will be walking in a while. I think I may be a bit premenstral, sorry John, tee hee. I am seeing my regular General Practicioner on Thursday just for a check up and because she knows me so well to be sure things are going okay. Hope you are all doing wonderful and having great op, water drinking, lots of exercise filled days. Blessings, Annie |
Hello All!
Oh NoLWOHorses, good thing that cake exited. I hope you had a good time playing puttputt golf. I love that game although I'm terrible at it. Donna, sorry the computer gremlins ate your post! BigJohn, those brownies are my nemesis too. Debbie, oooooo GRATS on the exercise! YAY. Hey, I love puzzles too. I preserved a bunch of them. My fav is all the constellations that glow in the dark when the lights first turn off. My whole family loves puzzles. During all our family vacations, we always have at least 1 puzzle going. Even if it's one of the 3D ones. Hi Peggy! Don't be such a stranger! Yay for bubblebaths Meta!!! I love them too. What a great NSV. Nancy, I hope you are feeling less whooped on today. I hate helping people move. Even with TOM and all that moving stress, you still got a great NSV by making a great treat choice. GO girl! Battle, Yay for increasing your fitness level!! I hope the TOM effects are diminishing and things are more normal for you. Wyllenn, great NSV for you too! I'm jealous off all these great decisions for food choices. Only cuz I'm ready to gnaw on this diet coke can (much to the dismay of my cube neighbors..hehe) *hugs* Brenda. Thanks for letting me know TBL was on tonight :) Ok.. I've decided NOT to eat the coke can and will probably ride my bicycle this afternoon. I did ride to work as well. Hugs and Luv to all.. especially to you LURKERS! Ratkity |
ANNIE *gentle hugs* I'm glad you got rid of that headache. You are doing fabbo. Keep up the GREAT work. Each day that goes by, you'll feel stronger and stronger. I'm sorry your DS is such a letdown. Bah, fambily, what can ya do?
Luv, Ratkity |
Hello everyone -
I was MIA for abit - on vacation, and back and rarin' to go. It'll take me a while to catch up with everyone, but from what I've read so far, it seems like most of you are stickin' with it. It's good to be home! |
I finally feeling better. I'm starting to think I had some kind of virus. I got a lot done today. I always know I'm feeling fine when I get to the ironing. Now if my baseball team could win a freaking game, I'd be very happy.

Hi all,
As long as I can finish off the rest of the evening without a major breakdown, I will have had a light eating day. TOM may be miserable, but the one upside is that for 2 days my appetite is low… of course that is after 5 days of wanting to eat everything in sight. It is fun to be a woman! It is nice to be in tune with what my body wants. Today I didn’t want much food, two days ago I did—and I ate a lot then. Catherine: I’m glad you are feeling better today. Valerie: I love to play putt-putt! It’s been years. There aren’t any close to me—land too expensive. Donna: Welcome back. I’m glad you had a nice vacation. It’s awesome that you managed to lose a pound during vacation and construction. Big John: Congrats on your loss. I’m jealous! Guess those brownies didn’t ruin you, huh? Debbie: You are doing so well with you plan. If you can stay with it now, you can stay with it for the long term. I’m sad about what happened with your son and DIL. Hopefully he will come to his senses in time. When he does, he owes you a big apology. Hi Peggy! Yes, I noticed you were gone. Did you happen to move your ticker down, too? Its seems lower now. Meta: I love your NSV. How delightful to be able to enjoy one of life’s simple pleasures. I’m looking forward to fitting better in the bathtub. Even when thin it’s never great though, because I’m really tall, and mostly legs. GTL200: I hope you’re having a better OP day today. Xena: How’s your back today? I know you can get past this sticking point with your weight. You can do it. SoulBliss: Welcome back! Booty2: I’m sorry to hear about your BF. Big hugs. With time, you will feel better. TheStory: ” I am retaining water like the Hoover Dam.” That made me laugh. Don’t I know how you feel! Nancy: Amazing that your treat was a WW ice cream. You’re doing great. I hope that with your ex moved out of the old apartment, you have more closure on that chapter of your life. Heather: great job this morning avoiding the pastries. Congrats on starting the new school year slimmer than you ended the last one. Annie: It’s so good to see you here and posting. Great job on walking as much as you have. I hope your body recovers quickly. Ratkity: Good job resisting the coke and sticking to your exercise plan. PMS is a challenge. Laura: Hi! |
Nancy- I'll talk to my doc but I do think its just the heat. We been in the 90's for 3 weeks running and I increased my water intake by 2 bottles and I've been fine.
Battle- I could be completely full to the point of being sick and if there are brownies I will eat them knowing I'll get sick. Which I then do get sick and if there are still brownies I will go eat more. It like lay potatoe chips just can't have one. I've gone as far as getting the pillsbury browine dough that they make now and eat it raw cause I didn't want to wait for them to cook. Rat- Hi! Hi to everyone else. |
Morning all.
Annie - I am so glad your surgery went well and you are healing. Your future is so bright...you are gonna need shades girl! How great is that?!?! RK - I won't be a stranger. I love this place! Battle - Yes, the ticker is down. Still plugging away. I feel your pain about TOM. Its here as well (5 days early!!) and while this is a relatively mild one, I had the cravings BAD before the weekend. Well...I ate alot this weekend, but not terribly off plan and I was REALLY active as I was at a friend's farm up in Maine (120 acres) and we walked alot on the property with the dogs several times a day and then on Monday I took a 3 mile hike in the woods with 2 of my gang and I wasn't even winded!! Last time I tried the hike in the woods...it wasn't pretty! :dizzy::dizzy: I barely made a quarter mile. I had a NSV when I put on my 3X LL Bean Barn coat before I put it in the van to take for those chilly Maine mornings. DH said "Its not supposed to fit like a trench coat" ;):D He gave me $$$ to get a new one (I LOVE my barn coat!!) and I stopped at their store on my way home on Sunday. I also got a pair of cropped chinos and a shirt at their outlet store...CHEAP! LOVE THAT!! I was also grumbling a bit as they had TONS of winter coats in 3X...but none in 2X and I am not brave enough to buy a 1X. Oh! I have a new puppy! I will post pics later. Well...off to get ready for work!! Be good chickies!! :) |
Good morning all
Well yesterdays eating was ok finally. With the excpetion of a few sugar free chocolates and maybe not enough water, I was a good girl. The scale even showed how good this morning but nothing is official till tomorrow when I go for my weigh in. I have to work all day today which will help keep me OP, at least till I get home tonight. After that, well, I'll need something to keep busy with. I usually weigh in on Friday but since I have to work Friday am then my time was moved up until Thursday. ok, i have to run... i'll be around tonight... enjoy an OP day! |
Hi All,
Oh my goodness, it's been forever since I had chance to post. It's only the 5th and we are on page 3 already. I went away on the weekend with Daren, and I ate way too much. I loved every minute of it, knowing full well I'd be back on track this week which I am. I am back to my dieting and I never slacked on my exercise anyway, so I'm doing good. Still too scared to weigh. Think I'll give it a miss for a week or two  Glad to hear everybody is doing well especially dear Annie, you are an amazing woman. Carry on with the wonderful recovery. Hugs, Ammi :grouphug: |
Good morning everyone!
Catherine - As I recall, your team recently swept my team.:( LOL! The Postman and I were commenting on how the Yankees could sweep the Sox, then drop two to Tampa Bay like Little Leaguers. Odd, that. Annie - Good to hear from you! Sorry about your sister. Family, bah! Take it easy on yourself - do what you need to do to stay healthy but don't overdo! Everyone seems to be doing wo well this week! NSV's everywhere! Me, not so much. Now that the kiddos are back in school I am hoping to get back in to my routine of excercising and eating well. Has anyone here read The Secret? I was not interested in spending the money to purchase it based on some reviews I had read/heard. But it was available at the library so I picked it up. I have to say, for me, it was really no big secret but I'd be interested in what others thought! Hope everyone is having a great op day! Cris |
Ditto Chris, now my girls are back in school I am enjoying getting back into my routine. Dieting and exercising is always easier when the kids are in school :D

Ammi- Hi!! have missed your posts :D
|
I've got my first assignment for the fall from my first class. He had to send it in 5 different emails because of the size of the thing. The first part is to take apart the Nicene creed phrase by phrase and identify the heresy that the phrase was put in to countermand. This is like dissecting a complicated contract. I keep reminding myself that this is good for me, and that I chose to take the classes. I got up at 6 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I sewed. Now that I have my allotted sewing already done for the day, I can hit the library. I think I'm going to pick up a CD or two to update my mp3 player. I think I'm going to need it.

Afternoon Chickies,
I was feeling sorry for myself today, but I hopped on the treadmill and did 30 minutes. I feel alot better. I'm just worried about my mom. The way my son left all of us, as if he was throwing away trash, has really gotten to her. She didn't do anything wrong, but he took it out on her too. She goes to the doc on Friday, so I hope maybe he ups her depression meds. Otherwise, I've stayed on OP really well. Catherine, sounds like you've got your work cut out for you with your first assignment. I'm glad your feeling better. Hoping the cravings have disappeared too. Hi Ammi, John! Cris, I didn't read the book, but I watched Oprah when she had that as the topic. I believe it happens...I just wish I could get my brain in that kind of mindframe. I need to send out more positive vibes I guess. GoingToLose, your sugar free chocolates sound yummy. Hope you have a good WI tomorrow. To the rest of you, congrats on the NSV's!!! And for staying OP and getting that water down. Debbie |
