Hi everyone,
Today I did a lot of physical work. First, there was the planned exercise, and I did a double dose: walking and a pilates DVD. Usually I do one or the other 5 days a week. Then, I cleaned my apartment and my car, and did some laundry. Then I went shopping. I had plenty of energy to accomplish it all, which is a nice improvement. Tomorrow I am having company over for dinner, and it's nice to have a clean home ready for guests. I went shopping for the ingredients, and bought a lot of veggies and fruit, to be incorporated into the meal tomorrow. My guests have big appetites. The menu is salad, bread, lemon chicken, roasted red potatoes with garlic, julienned herbed carrots and zucchini, and nectarine tart for dessert. The guest of honor is diabetic, so I'm going to tweak the tart recipe to lighten it up and cut out the sugar. I'm going to try to enjoy a little bit of all of it without going overboard. It will be a challenge, but I think it's do-able. Heather: oops on the haircut! How does he look with a close buzz cut? Xena: good luck on the WATP. I was impressed with myself for lasting through the 2 mile--I can't imagine making it for an hour! Ratkitty: you are inspiring me to take my bike out. I haven't ridden it in about 2 years. Maybe next weekend I will fill up the tires and go for a spin. It's great exercise, and I love it. Luan: I'm so sorry hun! Please rest up and let your ankle, knee and head heal. Hugs. Booty2: Good for you on passing by the fair food. Yay! Y Meta: isn"t it great to feel more energy and get things done! Are you going to post pics of your kitchen? Tracey, Debbie: hello! Ammi: donuts, ice cream, sausages, chips all sound good! Oh sorry...I went off there. I hope you have a good OP day today. Nancy: you do bingeing right. If you're going to have one, it should be worth it. 700 calories isn't so bad at all in the scheme of things. I'm sure we've both done much, much worse. I love your attitude and your hopping right back on plan. |
Hi Ladies,
Well, I self-sabotaged myself again. Tomorrow is my weekly weigh-in and this morning I was down to 320, and in hopes of getting back to the teens like I was earlier this week, but no...I had to go and have pretzels...the buttery kind. There wasn't that much of them but I just know I'm going to retain water now and probably gain a couple. Ugh!!!!! Why do I do this?? Battleax, The meal you have planned sounds so good. And for the most part, sounds pretty healthy. What times dinner? lol Toofatforu, You'll get back into the swing of things now that you're back. Just hang in there. Heather, I can only imagine what your husband thought after you shaved his head.....lol. Mine keeps wanting me to cut his hair and I won't even touch it with a razor. You're braver than I am. Ratkity, have fun out there riding all over the place. What fun!! Luan, you poor thing! I hope you're feeling better now. Take care of yourself. Yes, I will have to start from where I am now otherwise if I did 5 bucks a pound, I would have to pay myself $150! What a great incentive though....although it didn't work with my eating the @#$% pretzels...LOL Meta, Glad to hear your back and I hope the kitchen makeover went well. You'll have to post some pics of it for us. Body, OOOOOoo you go girl!!! Wow!!! That was fantastic that you could have such control in an environment of goodies. Way to go!!! have a good night everyone! Debbie |
BattleAx -- Luckily, his normal cut is not toooo far from a buzz cut, so it's not too bad. I just think it's a little uneven in places and will show more when it grows out. We'll need to watch it!
Debbie -- I just ate extra food tonight too. But this is a long long battle, and you haven't even lost a skirmish! Just get back on track tomorrow... and don't worry about that  scale! |
debbie - well it could have been worse. lol. i started over too, it was just easier that way. i also like to have something REALLY awesome i want for myself, and when i get to a certain milestone i buy it. its a great reward. i just bought myself a 100.00 purse :)

G'morning all!
Xena, you go with those DVDs!! Keep up the good work. Wyllenn, I do the same thing in my yard. I'll pickup dog stuff and toys, mow.. then before I know it, I'm pulling weeds and spraying and edging. My little sister cuts my Dad, her son and her hubby's hair. She buzzes them all! hehe. She's gotten good at it. Your experience made me smile cuz she did the same thing to their heads the first few times. It's funnier cuz they kept coming back for haircuts!! Welcome back 2FForU!! Battle, I agree, it's nice to have that little extra energy to do stuff during the day. Not just one thing, but several. Before, 1-2 chores would exhaust me. This weekend, I did a lot, just like you! Your supper sounds wonderful, I'll be there soon hehe :D Debbie, any chance you needed something salty when you reached for the pretzels? There could have been way worse things to sabatoge yourself with... drinking your fluids to get rid of the extra salt will help. You are doing so well!! Don't beat yourself up. It's hard to walk forward with one foot kicking your behind. PrincessPuffLuan, ow ow ow ow.. please tell us you cared gently for yourself this past weekend! I hope your job isn't too taxing today. No more tripping! (falling or otherwise.. hehe). Catherine has had experience with concussions and can tell you how important it is to care for yourself after a bonk. Well, off to work. Will post more later. Luv to all and especially to the lurkers and MIAs, Ratkity |
