Storey: Yes, you can do it. I wish you could find a place like I have in a therapy pool where you are allowed to swim by yourself as well. Good luck hon.

Heather: Thanks for starting the inspiration thread. Great idea. I have seen tons of them that belong there but can't recall right now. I will nominate some in the future. Hugs.

Brenda: My dear friend, I am so happy to see you post. I was beginning to worry that something was very wrong. How is your friend doing? Good luck with all the money you are trying to earn. Where are you going on vacation? Hugs.

I am soooo proud of myself. I went to Costco today with my DH and we walked around a bunch. No sampling for Annie. lol. After we unloaded we went to the place I walk during the week with our dogs. I wanted to show my DH so bad. He was impressed and We walked more today then I ever had at one time in years. We walked for 40 minutes up and down paths I haven't been to before. We ended our walk right next to the Spokane River in a cove and let my dogs loose so they can swim. My male can't swim but he likes to wade and my female was swimming like a fish. It made my heart so happy to be out and about with my DH and them. I hope thre are many, many more days just like this one to enjoy as I continue to get healthier and healthier. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. It is beautiful here today after a very stormy Friday and what looked like it would be stormy today turned it to a nice day.

Blessings all,
Annie

Jenn--75 pounds! WTG! Great job!

Rob--Hang in there!

Annie--So sorry to hear about your brother. Glad you had a lovely walk! It does feel great to do more than you could, doesn't it?

Story--I'm with you on the bathing suits. There are some places (Speedo, etc.) that sell swim PANTS, but I haven't been able to find them in larger sizes. Anyone else have ideas where to look for them?

Brenda -- I know there are several posts from Val that just knock my socks off... if you find one, let me know. I can always dig for it...

Annie -- Your story of your day warms my heart! I don't usually snack at Costco/Sam's either anymore. I hope many many more of these days for you in the future!!!!!!

I wanted to come in here, and apologize for dropping off the face of the earth the past couple of weeks. My summer class started, and it's hardcore! LOL. It's only 10 weeks, and it's intense. National Government. So, I've been reading like a mad woman!

Also, I haven't been in the most positive of moods. I go back to counseling on July 19th, after not going in over a year. Some things came to a head, and I've realized I need to address this problem that I have now, before it gets worse. I'm not going to get into much about it, just to tell you all that a long time ago, I was semi-diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, and I never followed it up, and it needs to happen. I've even begun to see my mania & depression, and I can't seem to do anything to stop it. I just need to get some help.

The last couple of weeks have been 'bad' weeks. I can't guarantee that I'll be here all the time until I'm feeling better...which may be a few more weeks. Just wanted to let you all know what's going on with me.

Vortex: Have you tried Lane Bryant's catalog? I think they are now called "Woman Within". Good luck hun.

Patti: Thanks. Now, where is our picture of our patti cakes?

Heather: Thanks. I hope I can continue to impress myself with exercise and movement as I think back to December when 5 minutes on the bike just about did me in for real. lol.

Kayley: Hugs and hope you are able to get whatever medical help you need to feel better. Please come back when you can sweetie.

Brenda: Thanks and Wowza on your photo! You look so amazing. I have always thought you are a really pretty lady but you look sooooo amazingly beautiful in your new photo! I bet your hubby is holding extra close these days. lol. Hugs.

Misti: Thanks sweetie. I love seeing what everyone looks like on here so when I pray for you all I picture your sweet and beautiful faces so I thought I should do the same. lol.

Well, my DH had to work today. He almost never has to work on Sundays. This is like the 3rd or 4th time in almost 22 years of marriage when he has had to work so, I'm here alone with the doggies. I am kind of waiting to hear from my niece who will be coming today to stay with us. Hopefully she will be coming soon. She is in Seattle visiting her friend and will be driving here today. I am so shy to go places alone and I'm trying to work up the courage to go to church without my DH. I don't think it will happen today though. I may just watch a DVD sermon that we got from our church. Of coarse I will be starting my July out exercising today too. I committed to myself and this board to do 1600 minutes this month!

Blessing to you all,
Annie

For those looking for swimsuits... I am sure I have shared this before but thought I would again for those who might be interested. But I just wear biker shorts and a silky type texture of tank top... both black. That way it is less revealing, you can wear your regular underwear with it and... for my particular problem with the big boobs... you can get something that fits. I have been in two public pools with this as well as our apt complex one and no one has complained or commented. A LOT of the newer swimsuits for large women especially are kind of designed this way so it really is not that obvious that it is your own creation.

And Annie... I agree... it is nice being able to picture the faces of the people here as I pray for them.

Speaking of prayer... I know you are have been one praying for my special little friend Annie... she is making progress on standing/walking AND she needed a special kind of trike which is great exercise for her and she loves... but it cost $1000 and insurance would not pay. PRAISE though... LOL the donations from friends came in so quickly I even got "beat out" of contributing. :) So she is going to get her trike soon. She really NEEDS it as it is so helpful in therapy. They are asking for a special pink raspberry paint job but not sure yet if that will be!! :bike: The big concern now is continued problems with seizures and also regaining more speech and especially happy emotion. She can express anger, etc., but the sunny disposition is missing, which I understand is frequent in people with brain injuries.

Blessings
Sue

Annie - I never realized your hair was so long. You look beautiful and happy in your new avatar pic.

To our UK chickies...Ammi, Sharon, EmilyMay, and any others I have missed....I am sickened to hear of the latest terror attacks in London and Glasgow. I don't know what's going to happen to this world of ours. :( Be safe.

Well, I am off to walk my dog now before it starts raining. We just can't seem to get dry down here in TX!

Misti in Seattle 07-01-2007 11:33 AM

Just thought I would comment here... I added up our June partipants in the exercise thread and if I counted right there were a total of 25 people! Way to go! :woohoo: I would also encourage any here who are not in the exercise thread and would like to be to go right on over. Some of use set goals, others prefer just to log their time. Either way is fine and ANY amount... some are more athletic than others and that is okay too. Whatever works for YOU is great and we need EVERY minute posted to help us break our new record!

dogpal 07-01-2007 01:39 PM

I agree with what Xena said regarding the terrorist attacks. Please stay safe friends!

I also agree with Misti. Every minute counts on our goal of over 200,000 for the year!

Thanks Xena. Hugs.

Misti: So glad little Annie is doing well. I will continue to pray for her. Hugs.
Blessings all,
Annie
