Morning Chickies!

Just checking in. I am having a good OP week and getting in my exercise in every day. I got in 10,300+ steps in yesterday...:carrot: That was GREAT! Yesterday's downside was that TOM came (early...blech!) and I feel terrible. I wish the weight loss I have had helped with that, but it hasn't. Can't have everything I s'pose.;)

:welcome3: to all the new folks. You will love it here. The support is incredible, even when I don't have time to do more than read here. Congrats to you for taking the most important step by starting! You CAN do this!!

Good morning everyone!

Well, today is weigh in day. I don't know if I managed to get rid of all that water but I certainly tried. I will let you know when I get back how things went.

I have decided to join a gym. There is a special at one about 10 min away. 60.00 for 3 months. How can I NOT join? My sis is joining as well and maybe my husband too.

Tomorrow is the wedding. I am a little nervous about it. For anyone that doesnt know, I am photographing my first wedding. I think I am prepared. The bride isnt as anal as I am so it should be ok  Wish me luck!

Welcome to Amber, Karlie and Debbie. You will love it here!

ok, i have to go and shower so my hair can dry before its time to get weighed. I cant afford any extra water weight

Welcome Amber and good luck to Brenda on the weigh in!!!

Hey again
I posted the pics that I took Wednesday night. I am pretty proud of the bee :)
Check'em out!

BTW thanks Heather!

oooo before I forget NSV here.... I tried a dress on from about 9 summers ago. ITS TOO BIG!!!!! I had bought it to wear to my cousins wedding (who since has been divorced twice  ). Only wore it the once cause it was too small the next time *L* Hubby has never seen it on me either. I thought this morning that I had better start wearing some things in my closet because soon I wouldnt be able to. HA... too late!

Good morning everyone!

Karlie, Debbie, and MarinePrincess - :welcome3: Karlie, I responded on a thread I think you started - 5 things we like about ourselves. Fantastic thread idea!

Well, WI for me today and I am down 2.8 pounds! Woohoo! I LOVE weigh in days when TOM is no where near! As of today, I have lost exactly 25 pounds!

I have a semi-busy day ahead. Groceries and recycling this morning, a nail appointment later this morning, and maybe some even work later. Tomorrow is supposed to be on the cool side and a little gray so I may take DD and DS to see Shrek. Tim may take his father out in the canoe. I am a wee bit jealous but we don't have enough extra seats or life jackets for everyone yet so I will have to wait until next weekend for my turn!

Hope everyone has a great op day!

Cris

Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday yay!!

Amber :welcome: Thanks for the intro; glad you decided to come out of lurksville! :)

Karlie, I assume your message about looking good was directed at Heather (Wyellen)...??? Yah she sure does look GREAT, huh? You mentioned not seeing photos... did you know there is a thread here of people's progress pictures? Lots of super pix over there! :balloons:

Peggy, you are doing great with the walking... keep it up!!! :running:

Brenda, glad you are going to be able to join the gym. I agree; for that price you can't lose except of course for WEIGHT, ha! Your pictures are neat; I love the bird coming out of his little house!!!

Heather, you are looking just SUPER! I am stunned every time I look at your picture. :woohoo:

Good Morning Ladies!:coffee:

Karlie, Debbie, & Amber::welcome3: I hope you find the support and friendship you are looking for here!

Heather::yay: Now you can "breathe"!!! I hope you enjoy your time off.:beach:

Valerie: Even though it's not calling you...lead not into temptation :T ...and CHUCK THE PIE OUT THE WINDOW!!!!!!!:tape: You are doing SO well!!!

Catherine: You deserve a day off! ( I hoped the frozen fries didn't break anyones teeth!!!:lol3: )

Michelle::wave: I hope your visit with your mom goes well.

Kayley: :bravo: Nice job with the inches!! I used to LOVE,LOVE,LOVE  doing water aerobics...I try to do them in my own pool here in the summer. Even just walking back and fourth in the pool is a good workout too!

Lisa::welcome2: Back!!! I am glad your ankle has healed and you have done so well!!

Peggy: WOW! That's alot of steps!:kickcan:

I still can't figure out how to make the pictures on my computer smaller so I can post them...so instead of hurting the stupid thing:comp: , I am going to take a break and do some investigating before I try again.
Still OP and really trying to stay there! :dizzy: Andrew and I made a cake yesterday for his English project, and I only took 1 little taste of the icing and it totally grossed me out!!:barf: The cake was a replica of the book he read and it came out awesome. We used actual tea roses from our bush, and it really brought it all together. Now I am kicking myself for not remembering to take a picture of it!!

Happy Friday and have a great OP weekend!!!:cheer2:

First off, I want to welcome Karlie, Debbie, and Amber!!!! Hope you enjoy it here, and I look forward to getting to know you three better!

Peggy - WOW with those steps again! You have REALLY been moving!

Brenda - Next week, you are GOING to see those 2's! :D How exciting! Great NSV today, as well as a scale victory! Congrats on joining a gym. Glad that your sister & maybe your hubby are going to join. It's so nice working out with someone. I know when I first started going to the gym, I worked out with my friend, and it helped lessen my self conscious of being there. We don't work out together anymore (she stopped going), but I'm not self conscious anymore. :) Hope you LOVE it!

Cris - Woop! 25 pounds, that is FANTASTIC! Here's to another couple of 25! :D

As for me, I woke up with every intention on making it to the Y, and using their pool this morning. I have what I thought was a cramp in my right, lower stomach. But it's still there, and I think I pulled a muscle. UGH. If it's hurting like this, I won't even make it to the gym tonight, which ticks me off, because I take the weekends off, so I like to go 5 days during the week!
:( It's really hurting, though, and I'm going to go and lay back down before it starts hurting even more.

That pain could be any number of things other than a pulled muscle. :( You might want to ring up your doc if it came on quick and doesn't subside soon.

Kayley-I will tell you what I tell everybody about water aerobics. Those classes are full of the elderly, infirm, and overweight. The hard bodies do the classes where they can show off their bodies. You can only be seen in your suit from the moment you drop your towel by the side of the pool until you are in the water. That is about a half a minute. You also can not die of embarrassment.

Just make sure that the pain you’ve got isn’t an appendix or ovarian cyst.

I have this MAJOR craving for ice cream. It's on special right now at the grocery store I go to. Not just regular ice cream, but the kind with pieces of different kinds of chocolate bars in them. The ones that are named after chocolate bars. I've never had any of them before. They're seriously calling my name and have been for several days. I managed barely to resist buying some when I did my grocery shopping a few days ago, but now I'm seriously considering making a special trip just to get the ice cream. I need a frozen treat alternative that I can eat instead of the ice cream, which I'm sure is going to pack some more weight on.

Any low calorie/low fat alternatives? Help needed please!!!

MamaBplus3 06-08-2007 03:38 PM

catlover: If it wasn't for the Weight Watchers desserts or ice cream called "skinny cow"...I would be in so much trouble!! There are alot of alternatives in the freezer section!

Torister 06-08-2007 04:24 PM

cdncatlover - I *love* the Skinny Cow low fat fudge bars. I have one nearly every night as a snack. I am a serious ice creamaholic and this does help!

Karlie 06-08-2007 04:34 PM

Oh Man.. Skinny Cow is the best. I love the ice Cream sandwiches. I gave a regular one and a skinny one to my friend and asked him to tell the difference.
He thought the regular one was low fat and he said he liked the skinny cow one WAY better then the real thing.. Ya gotta try em'
They also have sundae cups, Caramel bars, Fudge Bars, Chocolate Ice cream sandwiches, and regular ice cream sandwiches

Also.. you can try to find some low cal/ low fat sorbet.. It's a great way to get the icecream kick...
