Greetings chickies!
Each day is getting better, and even when I'm making a small slip, I'm not inclined to say "the heck with it - bring on the donuts!" I had a few, but far less than usual, of the little dinner mints that sit in my office. And I had a roll (a big one - 170 calories) at dinner, but compared to the way I behaved all thru May, honey that ain't Nuthin! I'm getting closer each day. And I'll have something to report on the exercise thread before the day is out. Gotta run to the barn and kiss the boys. C-ya! |
hiya girlies
not much new here. Weigh in was blah, I remained the same. Eating was teriffically OP today. Going to make sure that it stays that way ALL week. Didnt get any exercise as such done today but I did paint my spare room so that is a bonus. Anyhow, I SHOULD go finish it now, then clean up my mess. Going shopping in the city tomorrow with a friend so I want to have everything all finished up :) Have a good night ladies. |
-sigh- I'm not really up to personals right now. The funeral was this morning, and it was so hard. Harder than I though. Nicole & I weren't close for many years. Her dad remembered me, and when he came up, I gave him a hug, and just started crying. It was a very sad morning.
Hopefully, a trip to the gym will make me feel a bit better. Good to see you back here, Ammi. :) |
kayley~ sorry u had a rough day hun. I know you may not feel up to it but I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
|
so many posts!
but I just wanted to tell metachick that the problem was probably your ISP. You don't automatically come to the new server until they update their domain name servers. I actually didn't get on here from home until yesterday either ! to kayley and happy birthday! Congrats on staying with it Val! And Ammi, like me, you have to get back on track... we can do it chickie!!!! |
A good workout at the gym was just what I needed...although, the Taco Bell afterwards...yeah....I drove and got comfort food. :( Used 6 flex points, but that's what I get...I dunno...I felt good, but I just wanted to EAT. Grief + weight loss are a bad combination! I don't know if I'll get much time to post in here tomorrow, but THANK YOU ALL! for the birthday wishes! I'm trying to convince Andrew to take me to the bar at midnight, and get a couple of shots. lol.
Have a GREAT weekend, chicks! |
Storey: Good for you to be better ;) off than you thought!
Brandnewme: I'm so glad that you are feeling better. Hugs. Kayley: Whoop Whoop on another -1.2 pounds. You go girl. What a great birthday gift. Catherine: I have never seen startreck cartoons. I have never seen the old star treks either. I have only seen Generation ones. I know what you mean about feeling uncomfortable with some of the cartoon content. I have to confess my biggest cartoon no no that I have is Simpsons and also Family Guy on DVD. Sometimes they get very carried away for me. I just fast forward. I am so in awe of your sewing abilities. I wish I could sew half as good as you. I am going to have to "take" in some of my clothes any day now. lol. I am also going to shorten some curtains that I have that match my comforter on my bed. Wish me luck. lol. Michelou: Big Congrats on -5. You are doing so well. Keep up the great work. Meta: I am so happy and proud of you. Almost to the 2's! You must be so excited. I can't wait to be happy with you about it. Hgus. Ammi: I am proud of you for starting a new right here today. Hugs to you. You will be so much happier when you go on your vacation and then eat all you want of the bad stuff because you have been such a good girl. Hugs. Lilion: Hi sweetie. I cracked up about your DL thing. lol. I'm sure that the DMV doesn't think I weigh in the 2's when I was in the 5's either. lol. I guess we assume they are stupid. As long as they don't bring out a scale and say, "Let's just see if you are really what you say you weigh". That would be a nightmare. lol. Well, I jsut got back from the pool. It was pretty nice. I had it all to myself with the exception of 3 other people. I am going to walk right now for my 10 minutes and then I am going to go get my hair trimed and colored for my reward of reaching 10% weight loss. I got that this time along with the facial and a charm for my bracelet because it was such a big one for me. I'm so excited. My oldest sister (51) is coming here to visit on Sunday through the following Saturday. I think we will have fun and if she is up to it we will drive to Montana to spend one night with my younger sister. I love being with family. She loves to exercise so she will go swim with me every time and also she will get me to do more walks. Hope you are all well and happy. Hugs and Blessings, Annie |
hey there is no way I could comment on everyones stuff BUT I wanted to say I apologize for taking any posts offensive to my goal. I was expecting to see nothing as a response compared to what I saw, but I did get my TOM yesturday that was a major contributor to my feelings being hurt. Yep, I jumped the gun but am still not making a goal I don't need one I suppose.
I went today and got some 100 calorie snacks since I have been having an urge to cheat! There is so many to choose from so I was happy! |
Kayly: so sorry that ou had a rough day. Hugs.
Angela: I don't know what you are talking about but Hugs any way. Well, I have been so busy today. I got all my exercise in finally. I went and got my hair trimmed and colored. A bit lighter but it looks just like my hair did when I was a kid. I like it. Had a great time visiting the new hair stylist that I am going to. Got home and had to help DH take our fur babies to the vet to get their Kennel cough vaccine. Came home and ate (drank lol) my dinner and now I am settling down for the night. Hope you are all okay and have a great weekend. Blessings, Annie |
:hat: :cheer: :bday2you: :balloons: :woo: :hb: :celebrate:
Happy Birthday Kayley! I'll be back later with personals but I wanted to get that one in early! Cris |
Kayley - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I hope you have a great one! :hat: :celebrate:
Speaking of Taco Bell, I did that last week too because I really wanted some tacos and wasn't overly happy with my choice. So I thought about it over the week and decided to make my own. I used ground turkey instead of beef and added chipotles to the meat along with a Taco Bell seasoning packet you get in the grocery store. Then I skipped the cheese and sour cream. I just need to see if I can find better shells for next time. The only problem was portion control because it came out so tasty. Definitely something I will have again. Any Stargate Atlantis fans here? Last night's show was so shocking! I never saw that coming. I don’t want to say what it was in case anyone watches and hasn’t seen it. I have to leave in a few to go see an apartment. As always, I am trying not to get excited so that I don't get too disappointed. I have also started working with a real estate agent. I was moaning about my trouble in the gym the other day to one of the trainers, and he hooked me up with one of his clients. She seems nice and doesn’t charge a fee, but of course the places she is showing are all at least $100 more than I had wanted to spend. I am thinking maybe I need to up my price range if I don’t find anything by the end of the month. Finally, I was so excited last night because red seedless grapes were on sale at Stop and Shop for .99/pound! I got two huge bags. I love freezing them – they are my new favorite nighttime snack. I also got some beautiful strawberries. I love the summer fruit season. Very soon it will be time for cherries! |
ANGELA, I was so sorry to see that you were upset by some of the posts. I think folks just come from their own experience and were concerned, not wanting you to get discouraged like many of us have. Sounds like you've got it really going on, and everyone here is wishing you the best, and only good vibes and success! Didn't you say you were taking a class or something? I was taking a class before that was 90 minutes a day. I was doing great when I went, felt wonderful, and was racking up the minutes. It's really hard for me to put in the time on my own, but I've fallen apart so badly that I'm embarassed to go back... then there's the money thing.
Oooo, speaking of money - the girl I work with got a call from an old employer Friday afternoon. I'm 99.5% sure that they're going to hire her back, which leaves her job open for ME. That would make me full time with benefits. YES!! And speaking of work, one of the things she's been working on is a health fair. They're trying to get WW in to start a group, and there's been a little talk about organizing a company "Loser" competition. My boss says it's a great idea, but too much work for her to get in to. In that new position, I'd be able to volunteer to set it up and run it. There are plenty of people where I work that are in the same boat as we are, weight-wise. I'd LOVE to do that. Of course, if I'm running it, I'd be ineligable for any prizes, but who cares?! I'd just love the comaraderie and motivation to work in the right direction with all of us benefitting. Got a lesson in 15 minutes - gotta fly. Hugs all around - Have OP days, my friends!!! |

 Yah count me in the same boat. ! Let's go go go!!! |
Kayley, Happy Birthday!!!
And good morning everybody! Kayley, I am so sorry about your friend. That is difficult especially at such a young age!! Hope everyone has a super day today and stays on track!!! Even though I hate summer I am SO glad our pool is open again as it was always the best way for me to get in the exercise. I went out yesterday afternoon but it got so full of people I got out. But I had been in over an hour so it was time. I think I will get myself in gear and get out there this morning when it opens up at 9 as I am usually by myself at that time; also then I know I have done a workout for the day and any other exercise I get in is bonus. You know... one nice thing. Now that I am getting back on track and back into the exercise habit I am again WANTING to go out and do stuff. It is nice to be able to again too; my pulled muscle still hurts some but is mostly healed. GO EVERYBODY!! CRANK IT UP AND MOVE THOSE BUTTS LOL Sue |
Hi All,
Day two being back on track and all is well, unless you take into account that I woke up with a stupid sore throat and a cold  It’s like I’m being sabotaged. I finally get back in control of my diet and look forward to exercising and then I get sick! But I do have the weekends off exercising anyway, so hopefully by Monday I’ll be feeling well enough to at least do half an hour on the Gazelle. I also might be going to the gym on Tuesday. Daren’s decided he really wants to at least work out on the cardio machines, he shouldn’t have trouble on those, so :crossed: I really have missed the gym and am so excited at the thought of going again, cold or no cold  Kayley - Happy 21st birthday :bday2: :bday2you: :woo: What a special day for you, I wish I was turning 21 again lol. Have a wonderful day and don’t drink too much  I hope Andrew took you to the bar at midnight :hat: On a sadder note, I’m sorry about your friend passing away, and at such a young age too. The funeral sounded rough, but I’m glad you got those tears out when you hugged your friends dad, it never helps to keep them in  Lilion - thanks for your support, it’s amazing how rotten I feel about not being at 100 lbs lost anymore. I really struggled to get there last time, but this time I know it’s not going to take me long to get those last 2 lbs off. I’ve got the dieting bug back :cheer: Metachick - I hated coming on here and owing up to gaining back some weight, but I needed to do it so I can start afresh, and if as you said it’s a help to others, showing that we ALL have struggles along the way, then I don’t hate that I did it anymore. Thanks too for reminding me that like for you when you gained back your 15 lbs, you lost it again, and so will I. I am determined that I will no longer yo yo with these 7/14 lbs, I will shift them, keep them off and carry on losing :dust: Valerie - boy oh boy do I hear you on your struggle with getting back on track and I am so pleased that today/yesterday was such a big improvement for you. May was a waste of a month for me diet wise, but I am back on track 100% now, and I am sure you will be joining me any minute  Brenda - glad you stayed OP even though you weren’t too happy it seems with your WI. Remaining the same is MUCH better than a gain though  Next time you weigh you’ll see a good loss I’m sure :crossed: Hope you have fun shopping with your friend, treat yourself to something nice  Heather - you are right we do need to get back on track, and so far so good for me. How are you doing? Have you had an horrendous gain like I did then? Why oh why can’t losing weight be as easy and fun as gaining it  Annie - you definitely did deserve all those rewards, you hit and past a major milestone :cp: :cheer: Thank you for your encouragement both here and your emails about getting back on track. I’ve done it, there’s no doubt in my mind. I feel now like I felt when I first started dieting last year. It’s such a relief to be ‘back’. Angela - not sure if I have welcomed you yet, but if not :welcome2: I have an idea about what happened over on the exercise thread. The best thing about this place is that people are very understanding. Thank you for apologising though  I hear you on the low cal snacks, I have to have a LOT in the house ready for the times when I get a case of the munchies. I feel so bad if eating a whole pack of mini muffins, but when I see I only ate 6 points I enjoy losing the guilt  Nancy - good luck with the apartment, hang in there, you know one day you WILL find the perfect one for you  Frozen grapes, I’ve never thought of doing that. I’m not too keen on red grapes, but LOVE green ones. I must try the freezing thing the next time I buy some. Lesley - I’m probably late mentioning this as I haven’t posted recently, but just wanted to say I love your new Avatar photo, it’s lovely. Lisa - where are you? How’s the ankle, are you still in plaster? I hope you are at least reading posts even if you don’t feel like writing. You are missed  Sue - it was lovely to see you posting again, and I see on the exercise thread that we have the same goal. I worked mine out not including possible gym visits, seems whenever I include them we never get to go  :crossed: that we both make our goal this month. You, me, Heather and our friend Val all have to get out butts into gear and get on track and stay on it  Sharon - are you home yet? I’ve missed our chats a lot this week  I hope you had a great time at your parents, and that you didn’t go off plan too much :D Xena - I enjoyed AI, but still think Melinda should have won. Thankfully I loved both Blake and Jordin, so I wasn’t unhappy with the results. Well time to go, I’ve got a few emails to write before I take a pain killer and have a nap. I hate colds  Hugs, Ammi :chicken: |
