Peggy: Sounds to me like you did pretty good on the exercise front.
Catherine: Hugs, Hugs, and more hugs to you. I am so sorry that you are feeling blue right now. If you could only see how much of an inspiration you are to me. I know that when you left the board for a bit you were so terribly missed. I wish there was something I could do. Have you tired calling any Physical therapy places? That is where I do my exercises and I can afford it better because I only pay for the time I go there. It seems to work better for me. Maybe you will get lucky. I will be praying for your spirits to lift my friend. You are so much an inspiration to all of us here who love you. Hugs. Xena: Thanks! Blessings all, Annie |
Hey everyone-
I haven't been able to catch up on here! I haven't been on the internet for a few days and I am so behind on everything. Not much to report there. My mom is coming the second week in June. I am actually planning to talk to her and ask her if she can just respect me and not hound me about losing weight. I seriously will lose it if she says one more time....maybe you need to try harder!!! :dizzy: Oh well I am sure it will all go fine. Again I am so behind on personals. So I am going to get a couple in... CATHERINE~I can't believe your DHs sister did that to him! That is so low. I am so sorry you are having a tough time hun. Try to hang in there. AMMI~Love your new hair cut and pic!:) XENA~WTG on getting a great score! Good luck with everything!:goodluck: BRENDA~Great pics you posted! You look great! ANNIE~WTG on losing 8.6 pounds!!! I am so happy you met your goal!:cheer: :congrat: :broc: :bravo: :cp: :cb: OK well I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow! |
Catlover - have you tried local parks or campgrounds? Those often have showers you can use for free. Hopefully they'll find another supplier before 2 weeks. That's crazy!
Catherine - I am so sorry about your SIL and the terrible things she has done to you and your DH. Some people only seem to thrive when they cause other people pain, and she seems to be one of those people. It makes me angry how easy it is to for some people to take advantage of others. I'm also sorry that you aren't able to be covered on his insurance for 3 years, but please do not give up. You are strong, and you are more than capable of finding a way to get past this. You've been creative in the past (ie: the scales), and I know you will figure something out. You can do it! Annie - Congrats on finding a new church home. I know sometimes that's the best thing you can possibly do for yourself, and your own peace of mind. Congrats on another excellent loss, too! I'm so proud of you! You have done an outstanding job! 33tek - I hope you had a great, OP day! Kayley - I'm glad you had an amazing time at the concert. What class are you taking? Sorry if you've already mentioned it, I'm a bit forgetful these days. Kymberly - How's your week going now? I'm sorry the scale wasn't nice to you, but at least you didn't gain. I'm sure you'll see a loss soon! Congrats on your NSV too! Xena - Congrats on your test score! That's fabulous! You might want to get your foot checked out, just to be sure. I'm sorry the GMAT and the stress of it wreaked havoc with being OP. The good thing is that you know why you were off plan, and you acknowledge that you've done some damage, but you're getting up and moving on. Lilion - I think every time we've ever tried camping, it has ended up storming of some kind. I just plan on it now, so it doesn't catch us by surprise! I haven't been camping in ages though, and I really miss it sometimes. I think it's a good idea to not weigh for a bit just to give your body time to decide what it wants to do. Bloomer - Congrats on your loss. I'm sorry to hear about your computer though! Torister - Congrats on getting back into your exercise routine. Even if you couldn't do as much as you had been, at least you did it! Mechell - How are you and DH doing? Are things a bit less chaotic now? Good luck with your mom - I know that it's sometimes hard to communicate with our family! Ammi - I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to go to the gym. You've done a fantastic job so far, and I know you will be able to come up with a routine at home that will work for you the way the gym has in the past. It may not feel the same at first, but if anyone can do it, it's you! I hope Daren feels better soon. Let us know! Zelma - I hope things are going well for you! Nancy - How are things going for you? I think your ex may be trying to sabotage you (either consciously or subconsciously, either way). It will be good for you when you're out away from that situation. Val - How are things going for you? I miss seeing you around here, so when I check in and see you've posted, I'm just thrilled! Take care, and don't be a stranger. Heather - Thanks again for doing such a wonderful job with our little corner of the world. We appreciate you! |
Catherine, I'm sorry that you're feeling so down right now. I don't think you realize how much of an inspiration you really are. You are to me and I see other replies to your message saying the same thing. Sometimes we never know who we touch in our lives. Please don't give up. Not after losing more than 200 lbs. I know it can be really frustrating at times when it doesn't come off as fast as we would like it. You're going through a lot right now. Keep treading that water. You're not going to drown. I'm going to keep you in my prayers. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9...n/f42bd07a.gif I hope something works out for you so that you can use a pool somewhere. I guess I don't really understand what this pass is all about and where you're hoping to get it from. :sorry: I've had planter fascitis several times in the past. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but you should gently stretch your feet before getting out of bed. Lie in the bed, on your back, and gently flex your toes upwards toward your head. Hold it for a few seconds. Release and repeat. This will help not to have so much pain when you put your feet on the floor. Do the same thing when you've been sitting for awhile, before getting up. Flex your feet gently. It really does make a difference, or at least it did for me. Make sure you are always wearing shoes with very good arch support. I will only wear Nike Airs. Nothing compares to those shoes, with the air pocket on the bottom. There's nothing worse than sore feet. I don't think that 4 1/2 years is too long to lose 250 lbs. They say the slower you lose it, the better off your chances are in keeping it off. Don't beat yourself up over gaining some of it back. Maybe you could go back to measuring everything again to get you more OP. Whatever you do, please don't give up. You give me hope that it is possible for me to do it too.

Please please please don't give up, because you know if you do you will just want to kick yourself later! Have a good cry and yell about it first (I know I would) and then start hatching some plans. There's got to be some way, whether it be a way to earn extra $$ to pay for water aerobics, or SOMETHING. You are too creative not to figure something out. And this is just gonna go in the book. I know it! |
Good morning
Was just going to read and post later but i felt i must respond to Catherines post. Catherine: i am so sorry your having to go through the insurance issue. i want you to know that you have inspired me SO much in the 2years i have been here at 3fatchicks. what you have done is amazing, and it doesnt matter if it took 4 years or 4 months, you did it! as most of us here can tell you, the wt loss journey to health road is FULL of ups and downs, if we all were sucessful the first time we did it, we wouldnt be here. its taken most of my adult life to yo-yo back and forth and as i posted a few weeks ago, this is the first time since i was a young teen that i have weighed under 200lbs. you have so much wisdom, compassion and advice, we need you here, i missed your posts so much when you were gone. as for excersise, i know Richard Simmons makes a video/dvd for people who arent able to do traditonal excersises that want to get healthy. if im not mistaken, it was originally made for people with disablities, and i read about one women who used it and watched her food choices and was able to loose alot of wt. you may find it on ebay. on the subject of ebay, have you thought about selling some things on ebay or making bathing suits or clothes for plus women? i am selling all my clothes as i outgrow them on there, and i am doing well. that would give you some xtra $$ to be able to do the pool areobics. Whether you know this or not, you mean ALOT to many people here, and we dont want to lose your support or friendship, so please dont give up. i hope everyone has a good day and i will be back later to post. |
Hi everybody! Decided I had best get my butt back in here and be held accountable! Yikes I have gained back some of my weight but my best friend and I just made an agreement to hold each other accountable and get on track!!! I am not changing my ticker (!!) as I have to get back to that weight! It is amazing how easily we can get off track!!! Yippee our outdoor pool opened last weekend so I can easily do my water aerobics, even though it is only shallow water. I might still go to the public pool on Saturday AM to do the deep water ones as I do like those a lot!
I set myself up a new rewards plan... needed something with more instant gratification than saving big $$$ for clothes, etc. :) I LOVE playing the slots but usually won't blow money on them... SO I have a new plan of paying myself 50 cents for every 15 minutes of housework or exercise, and $1 a day for staying on plan, etc. I made paper "casino bucks" which I can stick into a pretty glass each time I earn them. I'd best waddle my butt on over to the exercise thread too and set a June goal LOL. I will try to catch up with everyone's posts when I get more time. Have to get out the door to work right now. Blessings Misti |
Good Morning Everyone!
Well, I have to "restart" my life again. The past couple of days have been... less than perfect. I started a 3FC blog and am going to use this as my journal to track my food etc. At least then I am accountable for every snitch I put in my big mouth *L* It is finally a semi nice day today so I am going to spend it out in my front flower garden trying to finish tidying it up and I had bought a few new perrinials that I need to plant. Anyhow, thats all for me today :) Have a great afternoon! B |

Yikes, I thought I would have time to come in here and get caught up, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Hopefully, things will settle down, although probably not until Friday. I found out the day before yesterday that a girl I grew up with, and a childhood friend of mine died on Saturday. She was only 20. So, I'll have a funeral to go to this week, too. :(
I did want to welcome back Misti!!! Good to see you back here, girl! And brandnewme...I'm going to take Sociology this summer. You didn't miss it, I just hadn't posted about it. :) I'm hoping to be able to pop in here sometime after 3pm, but if not, I will catch up when I can. |
Michelle: I hope your Mom is understanding and loving. I used to have my Dad say things to try to encourage me but I told him it doesn't help me it just hurts my feelings and we had a talk and he doesn't do it anymore. I hope your talk with your mom goes just as well.
Brandnewme: Hi. How are you feeling? Hope you are better hun. Catlover: You are the 2nd person I have heard mention Nike Air. My hubby has Plantars. Is there a certain kind to buy or are they just called Nike Air? Misti: Glad you are back. Your casino bucks sounds fun. You can see if you earn more and more! Glad you have a local friend to be accountable with too. Brenda: Today is a new day. You can do it Brenda. Come on only 3 pounds to be under that 300 mark. You can do it. Have fun planting flowers. Patti: Hi girl. How are things? I hope you are well. Hugs. Heather: I agreee with Brandnewme. You are doing such a fantastic job and I really appreciate all you do. I know you are a busy woman and you still do such a great job here even with all the work you have at home to do. Hugs and a really big, big THANK YOU! I'm off to get my day started with the Bible and prayer then exercise out of the way. Hugs to you all. Blessings, Annie |
Kayley: So sorry sweetie about your friend's passing. Hugs to you.
