Hi ladies!

I have just a few minutes before dinner is ready. Thank you so much for all the kind words about Bear. I know he is a dog and not a person, but he is such an integral part of our family. DH and I both grieve for how it will change and limit him. But also know it is such a blessing that he has a chance. The docs say that he is ready to come home tomorrow and the he doing very well. Bewildered by what has happened. He'll be glad to be home.

On a light note, I told my sis that I need to have a driveway entrance made for our "farm" and call it "Gimp Acres" between DH, Bear and Ginger with the bad feet. Just bring your handicapped animal on over.

I'm trying to get back to normal. Just finished a 45 minute workout this evening. Now time to eat and do some office work.

and to all!

TERRI, Glad to hear Bear will be home soon.
"Gimp Acres" ...... I love it. 45 MINUTES of exercise? Lady you rock!

I'm having a tough time food wise. As usual a couple really good weeks, then a so so week, then crash. I'm back to holding my own though. I will get it back together Can't even blame the holidays. Just a lack of determination.

Well, Terri, things sound like they're going as well as they can. Hope Bear has a good homecoming tomorrow... I'm sure he'll be as happy as can be to be home.

Judy, I struggle with motivation all the time. I think it must mean there's some reason we're really avoiding the work. I mean, here we are--in theory we're committed--but we don't always do what we know we should. You've made more progress than I have, though, certainly a lot of progress this month, so you can't be behaving all that badly. Hang in there!

Hi all!

Just a quick minute to check in.

Karen and Angela: Glad you students and teachers off for the holiday.

Terri, so sorry about Bear. I'm sure he'll recover quickly and be your walking buddy again before the weather breaks and it's time to hit the bricks again.

Ruth: Hope all is going better for you.

New: Welcome to our corner.

Lilion: Keep on pluggin', girl.

Judy: No slackin' now. Keep at it. I know it's tough but we've gotta keep at it.

Pam: Nice to see you joining us again.

Valerie: Time to get the 'puter fixed at home so we'll hear from you more. How's the job? Do you like it?

BarbG: I know what you mean about decorating. I love it when it's up, but getting it there and getting it back down and packed away is a bummer.

BarbPA: Ahhh, you lurker you!!!! Stop in and say hello more often.

Well, I asked Honey if we could do some entertaining this year. I get so tired of doing all this and then no one is here to enjoy it. Soooo, that said, we're going to host the neighbors between Christmas and New Years and even though we see all of Honey's family on Christmas Day, we're going to have them over one evening as well. My girlfriend and her husband will come one night and we'll see who else we can rustle up to see all my pretty stuff.

Guess I should get back outta here. You all have a good night and NO SNITCHIN' those Christmas cookies!!!!!

Good Morning Ladies!

Hope you don't mind a fly-by. Just wanted to say I did 10 on the I.M. today again. That's five days of six! Yeah, I'm way too proud of such a small accomplishment.

Newlifestyle: You have the right idea! You have to live a whole new way to make this work. I hope you stick around and tell us more!!!

MIA Hens: Mother, Valerie, Celery, JoAnne - are you around????

Hello to all - Have a great day!

Lilion: Hey, fly by girl! Congrats on sticking with the IM. Good going!

Mary: Hey lady. When you going to come back and stick around for awhile? We've got a bunch of new people that you've never met along with some of us oldies! Nice to see you.

Smile Good report!

I went back for my post op check-up today. We just got back and I had to come and share this news with all of you...no cancer! Whew! What a relief. My pap smear was good too, so I don't have to go back for a whole year unless something goes wrong.

Now that my stress level can go back to normal (whatever that is) it is time to focus on getting some of this lard off my thighs. Yep that is where most of mine is. Look like I have on riding pants when I don't!

Hey Mary, don't be a stranger.

Ta for now, Ruth

Newlifestyle--Welcome! What a great time to get started... BEFORE New Years.

Ruth--Great news! What a relief for you!

Lilion--Small victories can be the hardest ones, and the most important. You can never be "too proud." WTG!

Thin--Sounds like fun. I never, never get to be home at the holidays, always traveling, so I never get to play hostess. I'm jealous!

Mary--Merry Christmas!

Good afternoon everybody!

Teri, good to hear Bear is coming home. That'll be the best medicine for him!

To Newlifestyle!

Ruth, i'm so happy for you!

Hi Grannie, I haven't "met" you yet. Hope you stick around.

Thin!

j-ann, Hope this helps!

Well, I had to go to the court and pay the fine to get another date. When I got home I had an email from the sheriff's dept. Oh...now that i've complained all over the place they come up with some help. At least now I feel like they're the ones on the defensive instead of me. The man I spoke with over a year ago came forward to say he knows it should have been dismissed and went to the court house for me. Supposedly i'll be receiving a notice from the court to that affect and a check for my money back. We'll see...heard it before.

Nice to off, just taking it easy today, watching old movies and Christmas specials.

Have a great day!

Karen: You had to PAY the fine to get a new court date! I've never heard of such a thing! Shows how different my state is - they'd NEVER make you pay up front. So if you didn't have the money to pay the fine on the case that should never have been brought they'd have made you go ahead and, then what? I guess you'd be in jail even though the case should have been dismissed a year ago! That's nuts! I hope this all gets straightened out for you soon!

Yeah, I kind of wondered about that too. It's not like I have that much to spare with my school fees due this month. His last email said it would be about 4 weeks, then he made the comment that he would be here for another year. Like I might need him again that far in the future! I told him after getting my first taste of our justice system it wouldn't surprise me.
