Hi Soulmia So if my conversion is correct, you want to go from about 159 down to 121 in just under 7 wks. That's 38 lbs., at almost 5.5 lbs. a week?! That's a little ambitious hon!
Why not try for a healthy 1-2 lbs. a week? Good luck! Check out the South Beach forum on 3FC, they've got lots of great info and recipes there!
Welcome to the board! Good luck with your goals, but like Lauren said as much as I would love to be able to lose 5.5 pounds a week I just can't do it and most people can't, so I would hate for you to be disappointed and give up if you didn't reach your goal soon enough.

i was thinking more like 8 kgs ( 17.6lbs) by 10 December. That's my mini goal. I want to lose 18 kilos (39.6lbs) by March 12th 2007! (My birthday )
Is that unrealistic?
I would like to go to Sweden ( my boyfriends home) for Christmas lighter and fitter. I know I'll gain weight during the holidays...don't most of us? but I definately don't want to add more weight on top of the weight i already have!
So is this do-able?
Ooooh, OK...that's a little more realistic! Well, it's pretty ambitious, but I guess if you work really hard at it, you could to it. That comes out to about 2.5 lbs. a week. If you're exercising a lot, it may happen, but don't be too disappointed if you don't make it.
Oh okay that sounds better! well they say 1-2 pounds is good. The more you weigh the more you can lose. Like for instance I am 5'4 and weigh 220. Since I have buckled down and been calorie counting AND I walk 60 minutes daily, I have been losing 2.5 pounds a week. SO yes it is possible. You just have to be highly motivated and have a great plan that works for your body!
That is where you go if you want to take part in a challenge. Basically we decide what we want to do for the month and then motivate each other and report back to each other.
I promised to do 1800 minutes of walking this month (which = 90 miles) and so far I have gotten 1550 minutes./77.5 miles accomplished already! (Actually more cause I walked today and need to add it in)
The next link down below is my halloween challenge. We challenged each other to lose 10 pounds by haloween! So far I have reached my goal. I will be less by halloween. Isn't that awesome? You can join us if you like and if you want to do something like 2-3 pounds since you are starting late that is fine too:

Thanksgiving is actually celebrated at different times, depending on which country you're in. For example, this year, Thanksgiving here in Canada was celebrated on October 9th while in the USA, it will be celebrated on November 23rd. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving]
