Hello to all the newbies!!! I can't go back to recheck what everyone wrote since we hit a new page!!
Molly--I guess we are in this together--My SD doesnt have a mom(died when she was 7)to talk bad about me..I guess it is just the influences of the wicked stepmom fairy tales..Who knows...

Ok--Stevi--Hope the fiber intake is continuing????
Just did 3 miles on the treadmill..My thighs are killing me from the birthday party this weekend that K went to(OK--28 trips holding a 36lb child going up stairs to the top of the large slide and then down the stairs to repick her up and start over) I couldnt get out of bed on Sunday!!

Michelle--U sound very busy!!!
Ok..off to work on some educational junk for work!

I know what everyone is saying about staying on the "diet", it has been sooo hot here lately (see Molly's post) that I have been eating ice cream lately. I have been cutting out the snacks during the day though. I eat breakfast at 6:30, lunch at 12 noon, and dinner 5:30. Now it is the snacks at night.

Karen, hope your birthday is enjoyable.

Lisa

*wavie* to 707 and thanks for all the welcomes!!!!!

little grasshopper 07-26-2006 07:29 AM

hi guys - don't know what happened but I lost this thread.

It's hard to believe it's wednesday already. I'm exhausted!! I think I might need to eat more. I've been working out an hour a day this week. (2 days but it's a start, right????). seriously though, I think I need to kick up my breafast portion a bit.

karen - I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

mom of3 - I'm struggling a bit too. I found the no sugar added fudge pops and I've been having way too many of those! Luckily DF ate the rest yesterday and I'm not buying more this week. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of grocery shopping, so I'll not have anymore til monday. Maybe that will help :)

okay, off for day three of the gym! Talk to you all soon!

Holyteror 07-26-2006 08:50 AM

morning everyone....
yet another day i got up at 5 to do a workout. this morning's could have been better...i might get up and hit the treadmill in the morning...seems to be LOTS cooler.

I did real well last night. had a frozen potroast dinner...210 calories, plus some artichoke quarters and some canned green beans. dinner was under 400 calories. drank 128 oz of water too...ok that's throughout the whole day :)

today after work I have to go to the base to pick up a prescription and will be headed to the commisary afterwards. i need to make a grocery list :)

Have a great day all...i gotta get showered for work

fitafter4 07-26-2006 09:55 AM

Help!!!

I need help! Today is the "cookout" at work...burgers and brats. Ugh! Can you say loaded with F-A-T?? Would it be better to have 1/2 a hamburger (no mayo, no cheese) or a hot dog (plain)?

Went to try on dresses last night for a BIL's (brother in law) wedding next weekend end and UGH, how depressing! I made the HUGE mistake of going to a mall that "specializes" in small people! I walked in and out of at least FOUR shops that told me the largest size they had was a 10. Can you believe that? I should have taken the clue when walking around and seeing the personnel that was present. They were pencil-thin and plastic-looking. Needless to say, I came away feeling AWFUL about myself. [I hate that, too!] When I asked what size dresses they had, the lady behind the counter looked down her nose, sizing me up, and said, "maam--the largest size we carry is a 10, but feel free to try it..." SNOB! &%*!

My self-image is L-O-W today.........I need to work on that! Who cares what plastic people say, right?

Fit :?:

707Goddess 07-26-2006 11:49 AM

FIT you have done great on your wieght loss 226-176 thats awsome dont let the plastic bring you down ( i do feel ya though)

anyways yes i have been very busy my oldest son got into some trouble with the law and had to do community service so we have been walking him every morning to salvation army and my work is 2 blocks away so everythings coming together.
My husband should be finding out if the police dept he applied for is gonna come through BOY it would be nice cause then he would quit his full time job and the dept would pay him to go to school at night....
more money more time (YES!!!)
anyways i hope evrything else is good we are supposed to be getting a break from the heat wave this week it's supposed to cool down to 98 degrees..LOL

LBH 07-26-2006 02:01 PM

Hi All,

Michelle, sorry to hear about your DS, hope he learned a lesson and has straightened himself out. Hope DH hears something soon! That would be awesome!

Fit, It's probably too late now, but I would have the burger. Don't know how they do things in TX, but sometimes they offer veggie burgers too, that would be a better choice.
I would've left the mall after one store, if I realized all the stores were "small" minded!

Holy, good for you getting up and excercising in the AM!

Grasshopper, I LOVE TCBY chocolate sorbet pops! They're awesome, and I think only 1 WW pt. Not sure on calories, but probably around 60, if it was just 1 pt.

Lisa, I hope you can control yourself better with ice cream than I can! I would eat the whole darn thing in 2 days!

MelodyL 07-26-2006 03:44 PM

Hi everyone! Well I went to my Weight Watchers meeting this morning and was up 1.4 pounds (af is here) so I while I know it was because of AF I was still depressed about it. So now to get up and forget about it and move on until next week, sigh.

Michelle, I hope your dh gets the job, my ex went through the police academy after he had gotten a job with a police department, I imagine the fact that your dh is already going shows a lot of initiative and motivation on his part and should help him get a job somewhere!!!

Fit, that is so rude when people act that way, I hate rude people!!! Like Michelle said, you've done awesome!!! Don't let her ruin your accomplishments!!

Little Grasshopper and Holyteror, wtg on the exercise!! I hate exercising, it's something I really have to push myself to do. I am doing good if I get in 3 or 4 times a week.

Lisa, I've been eating ice cream lately too, with the heat and all. I have to buy things like the WW's ice cream bars though because they are portion controlled for me, lol. I just grab one out of the freezer and they are only 1 or 2 points depending on what kind they are. I know if I had a carton I'd end up eating more of it at a time than I should.

And Karen, wtg on the 21 pounds!! Hang in there, we all go through those moments where we just are having a hard time sticking to it, but you can do it!! Satisfy your sweet tooth with things that you can have that aren't high in calories, maybe that will help.

Have a great day everyone!!!

707Goddess 07-26-2006 04:26 PM

Lauren~thanks and i hope he did too we'll have too see he got caught with a pretty bad case and is on the ankle braclet for 2 months its already been 1 month so im crossing my fingers and praying that after he's off the moniter that he flys right ecspecially since his step father is gonna be a cop.......LOL

Melody yes i do hope so too cause hes working full time and going to the academy at night (we paid everything $5000) to put him through it would be great

Holy WTG on the exercise its hard for me too the most i get done is walking alot of walking

everyone else im sorry i didnt say welcome and keep up the good work ladies

lppennington 07-26-2006 04:38 PM

Lauren, I am trying not to. My dad had 3 bowls last night! He has the fat free, sugar free, made with Splenda stuff (pretty good) but he gets upset if we (mom and I) have any. We eat the regular stuff. I made a new rule late last night, no more goodies in the house, it is not helping any of us. I do ask for fig newtons and those 100 calorie pack snacks for my lunch- but that is it.

707 don't worry about saying hello and something to each of us. It's hard enough to remember all of us in the first place and then to keep conversations going. Like I said, forget about it. (in accent)

Lisa

707Goddess 07-26-2006 04:47 PM

Lisa~~ i didnt know you were italian....LOL j/k anyways thanks yeah it's quite a chore keeping up but i do try

Stevi-rocks 07-26-2006 05:35 PM

Blah...blah..blah...II

Good afternoon all!
Well THAT sucked @$$! Stupid computer just goes black....all of a sudden, No reason. I had written a long, fablous post and .....GONE.:tantrum: I save all my quality posting energy for you guys (as your my favorites:yes: ) and POOF!
Well...lemme see, where was I. Logan got his 4 months shots today, finally! Only 4 weeks late!! He cryed so hard. Looked at me like..."WHAT ARE you DOING to me!?!!?!" :sorry: I didn't cry though. He's conked out now (motrin). Then there was the Step kid subject. I have thoughts on it as I have been a step, had a step and now have a child that is a step. (we'll have a whole Stoop pretty soon!lol) The SD I had bout 6 years ago proved to be very annoying to me. Granted when I "got" her I was just 22 at the time. Her parents where much older than me and she took to me like a big sister. I mean REALLY took to me. DROVE ME NUTZO!! Still I would keep her summers and when she was sick. Didn't help she was unreasonably spoiled and her father never listened to a word I had to say. She's now grown and has made my point...didn't finish school, lives off Daddy, no college, Fights with him all the time....HA! He sooo deserves it! DH and DS#1 have a good relationship but I have to do alot of damage control. DH can be a lil Gung Ho regarding his opinions on disipline and at times I think he's ridgid and strict (easy to do when its not your kid but his intentions are always good) So I have last call on a discipline regarding DS#1.If I didn't I think DS could grow to hate him eventually, the emotional bond simply isn't strong enough. Thats my 2 cents.

Fit~ Ya know, in these situations I usually ask pointed/obvious questions like "No size larger than 10, huh? WHY?? The average female in the US is a 12, don't you think thats a lil stupid?" They usually have no/lame answer. But I feel better. If I where 5'9" and 176lbs I'd be runnin' around scantally clad screaming "LOOK AT MEEEEEEEE!!!" ( ok I'd have clothes on but I'd still scream!!):carrot:
Goddess~ Eww...ankle bracelets.. No Bueno, and not very stylish either..lol Hope DH gets what he needs soon!
Mel~ Glad to hear its just the Hag...Your losing so steady, I love to see your progress!
Karen~ I had to stop BF to stop GAINING weight. My Dr had the same issue w/ her DD. I had 6 cases of Matitis in 8 weeks due to one functional breast so I had to stop. Thats when the STARVING stopped. Kiss the baby!
Holy~ You so rock for being able to get modivated so early...I keep tryin' and failin'!
And a shout out to Lauren~grasshopper~RR~Lisa~Monster Mom!!!
