Default Week of ~April 30/ May 6~

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is going well. I have gotten two big projects out of the way so far this weekend. Now if I can just do one more I will be really excited. (It will mean I can start on the stuff for finals week)

I have not weighed myself, I woke up today and my sinuses were so bad that I needed to eat so I could take some medicine. If I just take the medicine it knocks me right out and that is not good for getting papers and projects done.

Well time to get back to homework. Hope everyone has an excellent week.

Lisa

Good morning everyone!

We got a sleep-in this morning so it's been a great day so far! We are going to have a picnic and fly kites at the park later. I think it will be fun!

Lisa: Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope the meds help and don't make you too sleepy. Good luck on getting the project done.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Good morning,

Yesterday turned out to be a very productive day. I went for a walk while we were at the park. Then we went and got a big behind seat for my bike. We came home and took a ride after dinner. I love the big seat. I can roll my hips back a bit and better distribute my wt. I'm the one pulling the bike trailer with Alex in it, but so far it hasn't been too bad. DH ordered the hardware to put on his bike so he can pull it too. I will let him be the one to do the work once it comes in! I was pretty zonked after two trips around the block!

The exercise really helped with my blood sugar, but my ketones are out of whack. I can't seem to get it all under control. Ack!

Hi All!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm soo excited to come post here and finally say: I LOST 1.8LBS. THIS WEEK!!!! It's a about time! If I didn't give in to "Mommy Guilt" and make cookies with Peter when he asked to, I may have lost more.

Good for you even riding your bike! I have a big butt seat on mine. Our bikes have been in the shed since we moved. I think since I bought it (which was before we got married), I think I've rode it maybe 5-6 times. Someday I'll live in a quiet neighborhood with flat streets and I'll be able to do it! Hope the BS's get figured out! How was the picnic?

Lisa, hope the sinus' are feeling better soon! Getting very excited for you!!!

Lauren thank you. Even though the medicine tried to knock me out, I got almost 3 complete projects done. I have 5 more, but only 2 of them are major. My one teacher cancelled class today (I said it was because of my b-day) so that we could work on our massive project in that class. - 20 page paper.

10 more days of class and 19 more days to Graduation!!!

I haven't thought of bike riding, I looked at my bike today and thought if the tires were inflated that it might be good.

Well time to start on that paper.

Happy Belated Birthday Lisa.

Hope you had a great day. You have the same birthday as my little Emily. She turned 4 today. I can't believe how old she is already. WOW. Time sure flies when you're having fun. We are going to be having cake and ice cream for her on Saturday. We wanted to do it this past weekend, but the weather made us put if off. I promised her a Care Bear cake. I wanted to have it at my parents that way I leave some of the cake there and I won't have that much leftover. Too much of a temptation with it being here.

Congrats on the loss Lauren. That's great.

Good Morning Everyone.

Lisa: Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a nice day. And didn't have to spend too much of it doing homework!

My MOMS Club went out last night to a local restaurant that was featuring a psychic. There were 10 of in the group and we all went to see her. Now, just so you know, I don't look 33 weeks pregnant. I just look fat. So I didn't say a word to her about it. First she told me all my personality stuff (people pleaser), then that I was going to have two children (she told everybody two) that would have long happy lives. Then she asked me what I was worried about, but I said nothing. Then she says "Is it your wt?" I say sure, isn't everyone. So she says she sees a complete image change for me, that I'm going to loose a lot of wt soon. I was just laughing at her. Yep, I'll be loosing at least the baby wt!

I am exercising twice a day to help keep the blood sugar under control. I can only do about 15 min on the treadmill but it's been helping. I'm still doing the bike too. I was only able to do once around the block last night because of time restraints and SORE legs. I'll be glad when the hardware comes for DH to be able to pull the trailer. It doesn't add a whole lot, but it does make the hill a little harder.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day!

Karen, how funny! Guess she wasn't that Phychic after all! Good for you exercising twice a day. It's amazing when you think about how much exercise really helps things. I'm still just doing the stairs at work (and home), but hey, it's something. My knee's been bothering me on and off lately...not sure why, it's not my bad knee.

Lauren--maybe U are using the "good" knee too much and protecting the bad knee which makes that one more sore now!!!

Karen: I did have one class on my B-day and I finished up a case study, however for most of the day, I sat around and read a chick novel. I just needed something light, ya know? Good job on the exersize, maybe after the baby is born you can increase the amounts slowly!

Well 18 days to graduation, 9 more till my last class, 5 more class periods.

WOOHOO!!!! Single digits Lisa!!!!

RR, nah, this is something totally different. The left knee is the "bad" one. Had surgery in 11th grade, and it now bothers me occasionally, if I spend a lot of time on it, or a lot of bad weather. The problem with the right knee is weird, and I think it's probably weight oriented. It's like an all around pain engulfing my whole knee area. After sitting, even for a short bit, it hurts to bend/straighten it. Once I get walking it's kind of OK, but it seems to be getting worse/taking longer to be OK when I walk. Then other days it's like normal!

Hi guys! I am so happy for you, Lisa, that you are so close to graduation! It's gone by fast for me! HAHAHA! I saw a psychic in New Orleans (before Katrina) who read my palm and told me I would never birth a child. Too bad for him that I had four kids I've pushed out waiting for me at home.

I'm open-minded enough to believe that there are a few people out there who have a connection to the universe that I don't understand...most just want your money though.

I also predict you will lose a good amount of weight soon, Karen. 7 to 8ish for the kiddo, 4 for placenta and 2 for fluid/blood at birth. I should have an infomercial: Midwife's fabulous weight loss strategy: dump 15 pounds in one night!

Hello everyone,

Believe it or not, the people I'm seeing for my gestational diabetes want me to eat more! My ketones are not being good little soldiers. I had to eat 1/2 sandwich before bed last night and they were down a little this morning. I'm meeting with the dietician today. I've got the feeling she's going to tell me to eat a whole sandwich tonight. I never, ever thought I would say this, but I DON'T WANT IT! Do you know how hard it is to choke down something you don't want at bedtime. Ugh. Now, if it was chocolate they wanted me to eat, I could do that no problem!

Lauren: Yikes, hope the knee is feeling better soon. It sucks when the joints hurt.

Midwife: Last time I'd lost 20# when I got home. We'll see how it goes this time. I lost about 3 pounds this week, but I guess it's not a good thing. They don't seem to be too happy about it.

Hope y'all are having a great day.
