  • Hi All,

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend. I was busy getting all my ducks in a row to start work Tuesday and get the kids back in daycare. I think I've got everything set.

Today we're supposed to go see a few houses, but I haven't heard back from the realtor yet.
  • Hello everyone,

Not much going on here. It's drill weekend for Andy so Alex and I are just hanging out. He only has one more month of active drilling!! I'll be so happy when it's over. He will still have two years of inactive duty, but I'm hoping it passes uneventfully!

Lauren: Hope you find something you like while looking at houses. I bet you are excited to get back to work.

  • Morning all.

What a nice weekend it was here. It was nice. I managed to get out for a walk. I didn't want to go back inside. I think I could have walked for miles and miles. We really didn't do much. Pretty boring. I got the chance to call and talk to my brother and dad. Found out that my brother has to have surgery on his nose next week. Seems he is having difficulties breathing. So hopefully this will help him out. I talked to him about coming out here and bringing me home. He has to talk to my father, but hopefully it will be good news. I would love to be home for Thanksgiving.

The good news is I finally lost another pound. Yeah. I finally broke my non losing streak. I'm happy about that. I can actually see that I could make it under 200 by Christmas if I can just stay focused. It's only 10 more pounds. I know it's possible.

Lauren Hope you had fun looking at houses. I remember what it was like to do that. Gosh I hope someday I can again.

    Have a great day all.
  • Hi All,

Wow, we saw some winners yesterday. Maybe true fixer-upper is not what we really want! Horrid... We did see one house that has great possibilities. It's a ranch on a 100x174 lot. It currently has 3 br, 1 bath, 1/2 bath/laundry room in the making, kitchen and LR. The MBR is actually a 1 car garage that was renovated, so it's pretty big. The other 2 brs are small, but perfect for the boys. The kitchen is in desparate need of a renovation and they whole house just need updating. like ripping out old marbled carpeting, paint, etc. The potential is there to add on, we could go up, out, back, any which way, because of the size of the property. It's in what seems to be a nice neighborhood of larger, newer, or renovated homes. DH is gonna call his dad and see if he has time to ride by it. Unfortunately even though we decided to look at these houses, we really aren't in a position to buy yet, unless someone gives us a downpayment. The IL's probably could. ****, my mom has basically given us 12K by letting us live here rent free for the past almost year. But we were DA's and didn't save barely anything.

I dropped the kids off at daycare this AM. Start the new job tomorrow!! Feels weird to be here by myself today! I have to go iron some of my clothes for work. They're all hanging up, but some need to be ironed.

I meant to WI this AM, but with the bustle of trying to get out of the house, I forgot. I did WI Saturday AM though and was down almost 2 lbs!! I guess I'm doing something right!

Annie, Congrats on breaking your "streak"!

    Hi to everyone!
  • hi all. We had a busy weekend and now I need to get caught up and do everything I didn't do while ds was here.

Today is our anniversary, #13. We went to dinner at an Italian restaurant last night after taking ds to the airport. And I only ate half of my entree and brought the rest home.

I have been walking funny since doing my new weights routine on Friday - the leg day. Sheesh! I will certainly get some muscles this way.

Lauren - best wishes on your first day at the new job tomorrow! ~ hooray for your loss!

Annie - Hooray for your loss!

    I am not losing anything! I need patience . . .

  • Hello all,

This weekend has been H***! On Monday of last week someone assumed that I was going to cater an event because I was JUST inquireing about it. I thought that it was only going to be 100 - 150 people, come to find out that the event was 800 people, but should only plan on 400 people eating there. Long story short - We did well with the pizzas that we bought, however we should have bought less of everything else. More like 100 people ate. I was on the go from 8:30 am to 10:00pm. I realized after I got home that I hadn't even gone to the bathroom. We ended up profiting almost $600 though so I dont know. I could do this again, however I would need more time to get it together. It might even be fun to be an events planner for when I grow up.

Lauren, Did I tell you Congrats? Well If I didn't: Congrats!!

Rabbit, Congrats on your anniversary! 13 yrs is a long time.

Hello to everyone else, it is time to go study.
  • Hi all! Congrats on all the losses. I've had none last week but I am confident about this week. I still have to keep telling myself to eat less.

Lauren, you really have a lot going on right now...new job, potential new house! Good for you! I hope your first day goes well today. Best of luck to you.

I have a few minutes of solitude this am. It is strange. The little man is still sleeping at almost 8:30. He is usually up at 7. And dd is already at school and other ds is on his way out the door. What will I do with my time?? I am getting ready to start a website for my home business (well one of them anyway) but I need info from the host company so I can't even work on that. Oh well. Maybe I'll just go read an adult book (as opposed to Dinosaur's Binket).

    Have a great day everyone!!
  • Hi All,

Sorry I've been scarse again. I don't have my own desk at the new job, I am covering for someone going on maternity leave, and she's not leaving until the day before Thanksgiving. I do have a laptop, but I didn't get much time to plug in today. I just hopped into an empty office and plugged in to find my way around. Things are going well soo far. It's a little overwhelming, but today was better.

Molly, How's the little guy? Hope he's just getting some extra sleep, and not getting sick!

Lisa, Do you do catering? Maybe it's something to consider, if you can make that much money all the time!!

    Rabbit, happy anniversary!
  • Hello Everyone,

Nothing much going on here. We've been running around like crazy with the MOMS this week. I like being busy, but we've had something everyday this week. It makes the time go faster when there's a lot going on.

Annie: Congrats on the loss. You can do it.

Rabbit: Are you still measuring? Are you loosing inches? I bet you are. Don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat!

Lisa: Wow, I wouldn't even know where to begin cooking for that many people! Event Planner, huh? I bet that you could have fun with that.

Mama: Hope you were able to get the website going!

Lauren: Hope the new job is going well. And that you get a spot of your own soon!
  • well, it looks like the thread has been slow this week. I've had internet issues (that I SO hope are fixed now) and I'm finally getting a chance to check in.

I updated my journal and started a new one. I decided my start day should be on Thursday instead of Friday. Thursday is my typical weigh in day (when I go to WW). And I think Thursday being the "start" to a new week as opposed to the last day of an old one could help me from overeating on weigh in day. It's all in the mind.

Lisa - an events planner could be fun! I'm with Karen though, I wouldn't know how to start cooking for that many people.

Molly - maybe I missed it somewhere, but what is your home business?

Lauren - how's the job going? Do the boys like the daycare place?

Karen - you're right, I haven't been measuring. I have been afraid to. I am also pmsing this week and had a couple of bad days. I just feel like I am ballooning and that is NOT a good feeling.

  • I am still working on portion control. I did really good yesterday. I went to Olga's with my friend and I ordered the same sandwich that I always do. It's not the best thing for me I know this, but I cut it in half and only ate that much! Quite an accomplishment for me since I usually stuff the whole thing down regardless of how bad my tummy hurts because I am so full.

Lauren-nope he's not getting sick. Just slept in and actually right after I posted he woke up. Go figure! I'm glad the job is going well for you!

Karen-site not up yet I found out today that it takes 3-4 days for the guy to get it up and going...hopefully soon.

Rabbit-I am an indepentant dist. for Enchanted Potions and I make hand made bead jewelry. Just started doing both and I hope they take off! I don't work outside the home since I had Ricky last year but I feel like I should do something to keep me "busy."
  • Hey there ladies
I am still here Just been extra busy...Hope everyone is having a great day, I will be sure to pop more over the weekend
  • Just wanted to pop in and say Hello ... Nothing new to report from here ... same old boring life ....

I do have a cute story if y'all are interested ...lol ...

My 5 year old, Kyle is in Kindergarten ... and each week they have a letter of the week that they focus on and learn about, this week is "J" week. So about 2 weeks ago Kyle came to me and asked me if he could take his brother to school for show and tell during "J" week ... his brothers name is Jake, who is 4 ... SO I talked to his teacher and worked things out, so we went to school last Thursday and Jake helped to "kick off" J week ... we made cupcakes and we wrote the letter "J" on them for a treat for the class ... it was so cute ... Kyle was the proud big brother
  • Norissa, that's very cute!

Molly, Glad he's not getting sick. Good for you on portion control!

Rabbit, The boys are at the same daycare they were at before. Peter went back no problem...which I was surprised about. Robby has pitched a fit almost every AM...no surprise! Today he didn't start crying until I was walking out the door though.

I should have the desk to myself after Thanksgiving, when the girl I'm covering for goes on maternity leave. Right now I'm squatting at someone elses desk that is out today and tomorrow. Still getting used to the laptop...I've never used one before. At least they gave me a mouse and once I'm settled, I will ask them for a keypad too. Things are going well, pretty busy....well she is, I"m just watching!

    Hi to everyone!
  • I'm still here. Just kinda doing more reading this week then posting. Been busy weeding through everything trying to get rid of stuff that we don't need. We are probably moving sometime this month. No set date yet due to the fact that my brother has to talk to our father first. They are going to help us move back to Iowa. I think a new start would be good for us. Things are very tight for us. DH didn't throw a fit like I thought he would. I would have moved months ago if I knew he was going to take it so well. So anyways we are going to be busy getting rid of stuff and deciding on what we are taking. It's all getting shoved in the back of a covered truck. Going to have to leave alot of big things. Taking just the necessities aka computer. I can't live without it. So I am hoping with the move that I will only be out for a few days. I am going to have to pick up the job searching and will probably be living with family til we both get jobs and get enough money to get our own place. Good incentive for the DH to find something. He's never met the family so it'll be interesting. Hopefully, sparks don't fly.

Anyways, I got on the scale today and it said 204. I'm confused. It's not my WI day yet and I am down 5 pounds. It's weird. I guess I am under alot of stress. It's even my TOM so maybe I am dropping water weight. I hope that number sticks for Sunday. I would like that loss. Nothing else happening. Just counting the days to get out of here. Hoping good luck will be coming our way.
