Good Morning~~
Just keeping my place!! Rabbit-Hope the arm is better!!! I took the flu shot yesterday and now my arm is sore too!!! Congrats to all on the weightloss~~~ RR |
Hi All,
RR, I have to call the ped and make an appt. for Peter and Robby to get the flu shot. And remind DH to get it! I'm not bothering, as usual, my life just revolves around the dam sinus'. :tantrum: ER, That's the right attitude, get right back on track! :cheer: I've done WW, and I know it works. I've heard that SBD is a good inbetween WW & Atkins. AF=Aunt Flo, or The Hag, or Time of Month, or just Your Period! Rabbit, Hope that arm heals soon! It must be killing you to not play tennis!! I'll sticky the journal. Congrats on all the family stuff!! I bet you had an awesome time with your nephew! Phan, Would DS consider transfering to your local schools, since he's back living with you? That's alot of gas at these prices!! Karen, :cheer: WooHoo!! You're doing awesome on SB!!! Chaarli, Good attitude! Get right back on the wagon! :cheer: Annie, Sounds like a good plan with the pasta. My DH also makes killer sauce! Thankfully there's not much bad stuff in it! Symple, Congrats on the loss! :cheer: Pearl, What I meant was, you lost five pounds, is that in a week, or two...? That's awesome! OK, I think I'm all caught up now...just have to keep Robby occupied AWAY from the mouse!! :lol3: I've started journaling what I'm eating again, and it's pretty scary when you think you're having a good day, then you actually add up the calories for what you've eaten and a completely shocked!! I did pretty bad yesterday, went shopping hungry...what the heck was I thinking! :tantrum: Have a great day all! Karen...you're too dam quick for me!! |
Hello all,
Alex went to bed late last night and he was one grumpy kid this morning! I had to wake him up and get ready for school. Oh my. He was even shouting me in the car on the way home that "School Over!" Looks like he got my "woke up too early grumpies!" ER: Yup, jump right back on the wagon. I'm doing SB right now and so far it is working well. They don't limit your amounts (so you don't feel so hungry and desperate), just eliminate the carbs in Phase I and work them back in gradually in Phase II (and better for you carbs, instead of empty ones). I've lost 9 1/2 pounds in two weeks. OK, grumpy needs me. Have a great day all! |
Good afternoon girls!
I'm off work for the weekend, so it's time for a happy dance! How is everyone doing? Yesterday, I was up at 4:30 am and went to the gym. Then it was off to work at 7:00 am. I ended up working late until 8:30 pm, and never got a chance to eat lunch! Ugh! I came home and ate a healthy dinner at about 9:00 pm. Then some friends that I haven't seen in a while called me out for a few drinks. :hat: I only had two in the couple hours that I was there. Not sure how many calories are in them though. I'll just work out a bit longer today at the gym. Is anyone planning on getting dressed up for any Halloween parties? I'm working on my Nurse costume today. I couldn't find any costumes that fit me, so I decided to buy a plain white nurse dress. Then I took red felt and cut out a medical cross to put on it. I even found a little black purse on clearance for $6 and I'm going to paste a red cross or two on that. My friend is letting me borrow his stethascope, and I already have a hat and red pumps! I'm set! I invited this really cute boy to go out that night (Oct 29). Not really a date, but just an invite. I hope he shows up! LBH...Ooooops! Sorry, wasn't sure what ya meant! I just started back at the dieting and exercise thing. It seems I always can drop my first ten pounds real quick. So it was just keeping my calories around 1500 per day and exercising every day. I'm bad at keeping up on drinking water though. I had to weigh myself again this morning cuz I couldn't wait. It said 260! That means nine pounds lost in about two weeks! I'm not moving my bumble bee though until I'm sure it was really a loss! Ok, I must go catch up on some cleaning. Have a happy day all! |
I figure since I started that food journal, I better keep posting on here. Anything to be accountable! I didn't go to my ww meeting this week because it is in another town and I go to it after tennis. I will try to make it over there next week anyway, even though I won't be playing. I am on steroids now with my arm though and the scales are not pretty. :(
Melissa - sorry about the bad day. Everyone has their preferences on plans to follow. I like WW the best personally. Thanks RR! Hope things are better in your part of the country. Lauren - yes, I hate not being able to play! ~ Thanks for the sticky on my journal. ~ The family stuff has been fun. We had a great time getting together for my brother's wedding; having a nephew born on my bday was really cool (my sis had a csection and got to choose the date); and dh & I really enjoyed having another nephew stay with us for a few days. We miss him - although I forgot how busy one is with a baby! Michele - enjoy your weekend off.:) Karen - I like the latest picture of dh & ds. Rabbit  |
Hi All,
Rabbit, Ugh, DH is on steriods right now also for his pneumonia/bronchitis thing. Thank God it's helping though. Sharing a b-day with a relative is great fun! I was born on my Gran's b-day and also used to have a dog growing up that was born on the same day! Actually, Karen beat me to sticky'ing for you! Pearl, I have a hard time keeping up on water sometimes too. Especially since I've been out of work. When I was at work, everything was much easier. When is your official WI day? Tentative congrats! :cheer: Karen, Hope today is a better day for Alex! Well, it looks like the sun might actually come out today....OK, maybe no sun, but the road is finally starting to dry out a bit! WooHoo!! I've had it with the rain! I'm off to go prime & paint my mom's bathroom. Have a great day all! |
ERGirl, sometimes it's the little stuff that counts. :) I get excited about the small but symbolic changes, too.
Rabbit, your brother and SIL have a newborn and a 9-month-old? Owie. That's almost as bad/good as having twins! |
Hello Everyone,
Guess what! I'm down another 2 1/2 pounds! This makes 12 pounds overall. I'm not sure why the weight is just falling off, but Whooohoooo!  !! I'll take it. I think I'm going to be in for a big let down when the rapid wt loss slows down! Hope everyone is well. |
Wow. Where have I been? I guess I didn't get anything posted yesterday. Hmm.. Guess it's because my DD is finally using the potty. I was feeling like a failure because she is 3 1/2 and everything that we have tried never worked up til now. I decided to try her in her panties on Wednesday night and she didn't have an accident but she didn't wouldn't use her potty. So we knew she could control and was just afraid of the potty. So Thursday she asked to use it and she wouldn't go. I knew she had to because she was doing the pee pee dance. She wanted a diaper and I refused. Well, DH came in and used the potty and surprise she went. Then we couldn't stop her. SO she is using it now. Still going to have to figure out how to night train her but I think daytime is mastered. I know there will be accidents but I am just so happy now.
Rabbit: Congrats on the new neice. I miss when they are little but I so don't want to do it again. I'll babysit other babies now. Steriods.. My DS had to go on those when he was about 4. He came down with a serious disease. I can't spell it but I can say it well. He was in the hospital twice. Went in for 3 days and then had to go back and spend 8 more. When he left they put him on steriods for 30 days. Slowly taking him off of it. He had a temper and had a major appetite. I hope the arm gets better. ER:Just got to get back on track. We all slip up. Just something that happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. You can do it. :cheer: Michele:Enjoy your weekend. Probably won't be dressing up for Halloween. FIL is having a party but not sure if we will go or not. There's always so much food and DH doesn't like the crowd of people that are there. Not even sure I am taking out Emily. She really doesn't eat candy and I don't want the candy in the house. Because I am the one that would have eat it. No thank you. Karen::cheer: Congrats on the Loss. :cb: :cb: :cb: Dancing bananas for you. Way to go. I WI tomorrow. Not sure what to expect of the scale. I am hoping that it will treat me nice. I didn't get much exercising in this week that I wanted but I am just going to have to try harder next week> I think I am going to write down what I want to accomplish each day for exercise. Maybe that way I would be more apt to get it done. I hope you all have a good weekend. Talk to you all later. |
hello. Just checking in and updating my food journal. Those of you who know me won't be surprised to hear that I am going out of town next weekend - I'll just have to keep the journal up on paper at that time.
Lauren - I feel like my face is even puffy looking with these steroids. ~ Nice that you were born on your Grandma's birthday. funny about the dog. Karen - oh, thanks for the sticky. I forgot you can do that too. ~ Sounds like you are having rapid weight loss. Phantasticia - nope, different families on the babies. We have lots of babies in the family. The 9 1/2 month old belongs to one brother; the newborn belongs to my sister - who does have a one year old, though. And then I have another sister with a 9 month old girl. Annie - happy for you on the potty training. ~ So far my temper is fine (whew) and I haven't noticed an increase in appetite just noticed the scales going up. I'm trying to be very careful. I read an article in the paper this week about these 4 women biking The Katy Trail and all the working out they do. I found it very inspiring. I have 2 pans of buttermilk brownies baked for the church dinner tomorrow. And I baked cookies (and froze them) yesterday to send to ds. (hence the 4 cookies in my journal). I really don't do much baking. Luckily, I am taking the brownies in the pan so they will not be tempting to me. I did a 4.5 mile hike this morning in the woods with dh - really enjoyed it - and feel good about it. RAbbit :spin: |
Wow, congrats to everyone. Sorry I haven't written in a while. I have been reading, but I am usually just taking a break, now I am just procrastinating. I had a final last Wed, and another one coming up on Monday along with a mid-term in another class this coming Wed. along with a slew of papers. I am sooooo sick of school. (I know wait til Christmas time). Wow, I just counted and it is 217 days til graduation. I can hardly wait. I know that it will go fast though.
Well it is time for me to quit procrastinating. |
Busy
Sound like you are all as busy as me.
I think I need to journal too. My biggest problem is I need to decide what plan I'm goin gto follow. I lost 25 pounds with JC earlier in the year and Have been maintaining since then..NOW I want to get the last 20 pounds off But can't seem to get myself restarted . I've done so many different programmes and know all teh info but I'm not sure what I'm going to end up doing. Hopefully will sort it out soon. I guess I'll probably go back to WW as that is the easiest to jsut incorporate back into my life without having to think too much. |
