Default Week of ~~April 3~~

Happy Sunday Morning!

I hate springing forward. Ugh. Even tho my clock said 7 when Alex woke up, my body knew it was only 6. And he wasn't in the mood for any cuddling and going back to sleep either. I could use a nap.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. It's drill weekend for us so Alex and I are just hanging out at home. Yesterday we did make one run to the craft store. It was raining a little but nothing majoy. We got to the store and the whole sky opened up. We were both soaked by the time we got into the store. Ugh. I found the cutest pens to make tho: Pens . I do have to say that mine didn't turn out all that well. I guess it takes practice.

Early bird Karen!!!Rough night last night...K had wheezing and pulling and grunting that I almost brought her to the ER...I put the humidifier on high and gave her albuterol syrup and she settled down..I wish I had a resp machine to give her breathing tx..This pollen is getting her...We spent the day at the zoo and I guess it was too much outdoors...

The treadmill was mailed so it should get here soon..Of course, DH went overboard and bought a bike, then the mats and of course he had to mount a tv in the room etc etc..THat man is dangerous with extra money and "wants"!!!!or either he is tired of a chubby wife????????
Well..time to run and check on things...
Hello to all!!!

Hi All,

Wow, you guys are both up early! I mean, I was up early, but not really motivated to get up and start the day! We've just been hanging out most of the day. DH slept most of the morning away while me & the boys played. I gave Peter a sandwich and he sat in bed with DH and ate while watching SB...hopefully now he's sleeping! Robby has been a joy lately! Just laughing his head off...OK, as much as a "new laugher" does!

RR, Hope Kaylee is feeling better soon. Can you get a machine from your ped? We have one that we got when Peter was a baby and had to have some Albuterol tx. If you really need one and can't get it, let me know and I'll send you ours. I'm sure DH is just having fun spending the money on new "toys".

Karen, those are cute pens. I want to get to the craft store and get some cute crafts to do with Peter. Does Alex like doing that stuff? They do stuff at daycare, but it's more coloring pics and stuff, than crafty stuff. They do mroe crafty stuff for holidays, like they made an easter basket out of shoe boxes last week.

DH & I went on a date last night! Mom watched the kids while we went out to eat at a mexican restaurant. I had chicken burros, which was a flour tortilla rolled with chicken breast and topped with lots of cheese. DH had the same thing with beef. They served it with black beans and spicy rice. I ate half of it, didn't have the rice, and tried a little of the beans. We splurged and went to this place for Geloti for dessert, yum! Then we finally went and got new cell phones! WooHoo!! We've only been talking about it for at least 6 months now. My phone only worked with the ear piece, which was dying, and DH was on a different service. His phone was always dying....even right after he charged it! So now we're on a Verizon family plan. Love the new phone soo far, but haven't got it all figured out yet.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Hello everyone,

Karen - how old is your Alex, mine is 18 months and has just discovered the wonders of the full blown tantrum. Drives him crazy when I get down on the floor and cheer him on, totally takes the wind of his sails.

RoadRunner, good luck with the treadmill, glad your husband is so supportive (nice spin, eh!)

Lauren, we had a date last night too. We had dinner at another couple's house and I really pushed myself in my morning yoga-latte class so I could eat dinner with no worries. We had a substitute instructor and it was awful, too much pilatte not nearly enough yoga for me. I'm glad I stuck it out though, because when they brought out ice cream for dessert, I had a bowl and really, really enjoyed it.

I need a challenge for this week, something to kick me up a bit, any ideas?

welll...we are back from the ER...K has bronchiolitis..Now after 3 breathing treatments and some wonderful steroids, she is flying high..She got to breathing 60 times/minute and was pulling and grunting and I went..My mom met me there cuz DH decided hockey game was more important...Hmmmm..wonder if it was the guilt trip that brought him to ER?? or the thought that by making wifey mad "things" may get worse for him??? She was horrible there...OMG screaming and screaming..Thank goodness the nurses and resp therapists know me and let me to most of everything...
When leaving, there was a little 9 month old girl in critical condition after riding on a 4 wheeler???R people nuts?????
Gotta run!!Queen needs me!!!

RR, Argh!! People are insane!! Glad K is doing better though...and that DH came to his senses!!

Moma, good for you with the class! Glad you got to enjoy dessert guilt-free. Hmm, a challenge, huh? Well, tell us how your week usually goes? How many days exercise and what do you normally do? Any food challenges you need to stay away from?

I didn't get to join Curves Friday, I'm going to get new sneakers this week, so I will join then.

Default Hi everyone!!

Good morning and happy Monday!! Springing forward is always just awful for the first couple of days for me.

Lauren- That's how it is at my kids daycare too. They do coloring and work on the letters/numbers and then around the holidays they do crafty stuff. This past xmas they made a christmas spider that was really cute and they had a whole "legend" that went with it.

RR- Too bad that K had to go the emergency room, but glad to hear that she is doing well now.

We didn't have too eventful of a weekend. We had one year old birthday party on Saturday that we were there for 4 1/2 hours. I didn't think we would be there THAT long. Fortunately, both kids were great. And it gave us a chance to socialize with some adults.

Last night we just chilled out. Took DD for her new scooter yesterday. She was upset that we had to return the first one, but it was way too short (She's 5 and 46 inches, so everything is pretty much too short for her). So of course had to spend an additional $20 for the bigger one, but this one Disney Princess. She actually was outside riding it for awhile. The weather was beautiful yesterday.

Date nights are always great. Our last one was in January, but my MIL gave us a "coupon" to use for dinner and a night out (and babysitting is of course included). Can't wait to use that one. We ended up going out to Chili's for dinner last night. I just didn't feel like cooking, but I was good I did have the Guiltless Chicken Platter and it was only 10 points, but I hadn't had hardly any points during the day, so I still stayed on track. We'll see weight in is tomorrow am.

Ok, I've rambled on way too long. Talk to everyone later.

RR, I hope your daughter is doing better. This broncitis that is going around our area is nasty! I had it for a week then it went away for a week and then I got it back and I am still trying to get over it. (2 weeks now)

Everyone else sounds like they had a good weekend. I enjoyed myself. I lounged around all weekend.

I just have to share. I'm down two more pounds on the weigh in today. Fortunately, my cheating didn't sabotage my goal.

WOOHOO!! Congrats Lady!

I'm having a rotten day...as usual...at this he** hole. Trying to figure out if unemployment will pay me if I quit. Apparently they might, if it's a good enough reason! I'm gonna call at lunch and see.

Hello Everyone,

It was actually warm enough to play outside yesterday afternoon! Alex calls outside "play". Do you know how sad it is when the little one is begging to "play" and it's raining buckets outside? Or it just rained buckets the day before? I felt like such a mean mom! I let him out yesterday even tho it was still a little damp.

RR: Yikes. People are such morons. I hope the little one was OK. And I hope that K is feeling much better. And shame on DH for going to the game instead of the ER. I'm glad he saw the error of his ways!

Moma: Alex will be 2 on the 24th. He's getting up between 5:45 and 6 every morning. I sure hope he gets over this soon. The tantrums here are mostly when he doesn't get a good nap. And cheering him on only escalates them. Anything (even ignoring them) escalates them. We just have to get through them. Cool on the date night.

Lauren: Alex colors a little and we play with playdoh a little, but that's it for crafts. He doesn't get it yet. He did work one of his puzzles today, for the first time ever, so maybe crafts aren't far behind. Good luck looking into unemployment. I know it sucks to be in a job you hate.

Lady: Yeah! 2#'s is awesome! You are doing terrific.

Have a great day!

Question Question

Do any of you ladies know if the Tony Little Gazelle is considered cardio? I would like to get one of these machines, although not necessarliy his brand because it's pretty expensive. I think Walmart carries cheaper versions of it. Something a little easier on the knees

Lauren, I hope you find a way out of your job, sucks doesn't it? Karen, on rainy days I send them outside in raincoats & boots and let them splash like crazy, followed by a warm bath. Seems to cut down on stir crazy quotent, but not by much!

I'm feeling really good today, I re did my exercise log to take to the gym, added a few new weights, took off snowshoeing. The star system at my gym ends this week, which could be dangerous, I became a bit of a star/exercise junkie in order to finish up in first place. I think I will need to find an internal reward system in order for this phase to stick.

My challenge this week - water, water, water everywhere!
